5781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does online gambling operations manage gambling addiction? on: March 26, 2019, 06:49:21 AM
I know "Brick n Mortar" casinos have special counseling and advisors on call for people with gambling addiction and they also apply some measures for the gamblers with gambling addiction to "ban" themselves.

How can online gambling sites deal with gambling addiction? The Brick n Mortar" gambling sites have a social responsibility and local licensing requirements than needs to be adhered to for them to operate in a specific country or town, so they cannot avoid doing this.

Please give your inputs and ideas on how this can be done with online gambling sites.  Wink
I don’t understand the idea of Brick and Mortar casinos applying a measure for gamblers with gambling addiction to ban themselves. Addicted gamblers would never accept they are suffering from addiction in the first place, so how do they expect them to ban themselves.

If this site actually cares about addicted gamblers, they would be able to know gamblers who are suffering from addition from their history and then auto ban them, and also request that they seek professional help. But, I have the feelings that most of these sites make more money from those addicted gamblers and they will find it difficult to put measures in place to automatically ban an addicted gambler and advise them to look for help.
5782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 25, 2019, 06:53:03 PM
Bogut is better because he doesn't require the ball that much. When you have Draymond who doesn't require the ball that much that is great for you, when you also have Bogut that means you can forget about 2 players to score, they can definitely get couple of baskets when they are wide free but that is not really what they are there for, they are there to fulfill a role they were given. That way you can share the field goal attempts between curry and Klay and Durant, even Klay doesn't usually get as much as curry and Durant but sometimes he just goes supernove and hits a bunch of baskets.

When you have everyone on the floor trying to score, than it becomes a challenge between who will be shooting, after a while some players will be like "it has been 10 possessions and I haven't touched the ball yet" and that is not really a good way to distribute the ball.
5783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you still hodling that shitcoin? on: March 25, 2019, 02:42:17 PM

they have no value or has a very low value and transferring it to other wallet cost more than its value so i just ignore it maybe one day their price rise up lol
This can really be annoying and frustrating when you consider the total quantity the exchanges are proposing to pull when you request to transfer some coins to your personal wallet, usually, it is not a good advice to leave your tokens on an exchange for so long due to security reasons but one have no choice that to leave them in this case, so many of my altcoins that I have attempted to transfer ended up remaining on my exchange when I consider what they are about to charge.

I am still believing that one day, some of those shitcoins value will increase and with the hope that the coin will not zero and disappear completely to thin air.
5784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Accredited Investor Portals for buying ICO on: March 25, 2019, 02:11:51 PM
What do you actually mean when you talk about crypto accredited portals, are you not referring to ICO or STO , STO are very much regulated by the government and they are investment platforms where investors can invest money into a project in order to make profit in return in few months or even years, one of the popular company that carried out an STO recently is binance exchange which is the most popular crypto exchange in the world.

I don't understand the part you are talking about down payment, maybe you can throw more light on what exactly you are looking for.

Our coin fails the howey test so it isn't considered a security, however the SEC may not agree until we release the beta version of the project.

Most of the ICO/STO platforms charge significant fees to list your coin on their site.  Coinlist was charging $50k last summer, now charges $20k, I'm not sure what republic charges yet but I think it's somewhere between 2k-5k upfront.  They also typically charge 2-5% of the proceeds from the sale in addition to the upfront fees.
But have you looked at the IEO option, though I don’t know how much Binance charges for their Launchpad but it will be the best platform for you to really take advantage of now that it is still new and gaining attention of great investors and if you really want to meet up with your target without much delay.

You seems to look like a very serious and committed developer, though I don’t know what your project is all about yet but whatever the project is, I do wish you best of luck and I hope you get all the necessary support you need, kindly update us from time to time on the development so we can also partake in it and give you necessary support from our own end.
5785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sparkster: ICO Investors Threaten Legal Action Against Sparkster on: March 23, 2019, 06:37:50 PM
Now the lead of Sparkster excuses his mother to escape, so humiliating, I hope investors in the UK will take him to jail. Ian balina is an unreliable person, do not believe what he values, everything he does for money, not an honest person.
For the fact that he promoted the project doesn’t mean he is a member of the team, if it were to be you, wouldn’t you do same thing.

If he was a team in the project, fine, it would have been justified if they had arrested him but he is not, the people they need to focus on now are the project managers and sue them if possible but I doubt if the investors can completely win the case because there is no written document backing their investment other than the transactions made via the cryptocurrency system which is yet to be recognized by government of by the law, so I see another shit project walking the face of the earth freely .
5786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIT COINS WILL ALWAYS DISAPPOINT on: March 23, 2019, 04:37:21 PM
Shit coins as always a shit coins and it cannot help them to get your profit in the future, if you pick up the shit coins it is always disappointed and maybe your capital it maybe loss we must have to check it first before you buy them.
If you try to invest in shitcoins has a Short term investment, it is quite very risky because one cannot tell the exact hour or time the coin will pump or dumped except by analysis and that is why many traders make it more with shitcoins than a normal investors because shitcoins to requires technical analysis and fundamental analysis to decide when to jump into trade.

Some of us usually think that all altcoins starts from bottom the very first day they enter exchange, in short, this is not the case for 50% of them, some have the tendency of having a high crash in price first because some of the holders that earn the coin freely dumb the coin immediately it enters the market, so we still have to watch the coin settle and wait for when it bottom fully before buying such coin.
5787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Hard Cap on: March 21, 2019, 07:38:28 PM
If you are into any ICO that has no plain clean info please just stay away and move on ,many of these ICOs gives out only fake Info's just to lure innocent people, be very careful
I think OP should post that ico here so that everyone can look into it. Scammers are really getting better at what they do and it’s very difficult to spot fake ICOs these days. I don’t know if any of you heard about Benefit, the high profile ICO scam in 2018. Nobody was able to tell it was a scam, even icobench gave them 4.1 out of 5, lol. All the things you will look for in legit ICOs was there on Benebit and everyone believed it was fake until they got busted. Long story.

Is it normal that an ICO has a Hard Cap of 72 million dollar? And as of now I cant find the total supply of the coin so that I can compute the total supply and the value per coin, and I guess they should also put the total supply in their site. What do you think?
It can be possible depending on what kind of ICO is that. But these days there are lots of ICOs that fakes everything just for them to be able to attract investors. At the end of it, when it gets listed on an exchanges you will get to find out that everything was just fake. Just be very careful and hold a proper research before you take any move making investment.
5788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Got a Job after loosing hope in Bounties on: March 21, 2019, 07:04:11 PM
First of all, crypto bounties are not for life feeding. I usually put bounty campaign earnings to passive income folder. If you don't have any hope about your future earnings in bounty campaigns then go out , create your CV and get a job.
Lol, I’m surprised how people always think that cryptocurrency is the answer to everything and they are going to make money from it funny. If he wants to be self employed and working online, then bounty campaign is not the answer he needs. This bounty campaign should be just a side hustle and not a main job. He can start freelance job, that is much better.

Bounty campaign can’t be your main job, you need a real job and you can only have this one as your side job. If you don’t want to be working in an office then the best thing you can do is start up your own business where you will be selling whatever you want. Everyone has to work and I do know how boring it is sometimes to work in an office, but it can only boring when you’re not being paid the amount you want.
5789  Economy / Economics / Re: One small step for Bitcoin one giant leap for Crypto on: March 21, 2019, 06:18:21 PM
Yeah. It Happened as shown on the graph but the only thing is that it didn't hold off for long.
Hopefully, another bull run that can hold off for longer period will happen soon.
Maybe we would see the price reaching new all time high then.
I do not think that there is any form of bull run than can hold on for long because once the bull run has reached, you will see many people dumping the coin immediately since majority of them are in for the profit, this action will intend force the price of the bitcoin to go bearish again, so I don’t really think that there can be any bull that will hold long except the price pump was a gradual process and not the way it sudden jumped high in 2017.

If the bullish trend takes little step at a time to climb up, then it can stay at the final bull price for long.
5790  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says 79% of cryptocurrency event attendees are men on: March 21, 2019, 05:40:58 PM
I think this is normal because men often like to take risks, analyze and want to make their own decisions. Women often do not like jobs like this, so there are quite a few women involved in investment.
Besides, women tend to think too much and make things mess, decide by emotions, ... these are weaknesses of women in the field of investment.
I think aside cryptocurrency, men are generally better with investment than women.
Majority of men, live daily planning for the future but women on the other hand do not  know how to safe, let alone investment.

Women always have immediate needs to they want to take care of but men would rather want to be sure tomorrow is safe before thinking of today. And like you said men take risk but the few women who would have even considered investment will immediately back out the moment they know there’s  a little risk involved.
5791  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you need cash for everyday use? on: March 21, 2019, 05:10:11 PM
We are working on Golden Currency project ( https://goldencurrency.money ), where we issue money that is available both in crypto and in cash form. We find the possibility to use crypto money in cash form as one of advantages. We expect that almost everybody anyway uses cash and in such a case the lack of such opportunity limits the potential use of currency. That's why we started the poll to prove it. Would be glad for your votes and comments regarding your view on such an option.
I almost use digital online transactions for payments; I can’t remember the last time I held money in form of cash. Almost every vendor accepts transfer as a form of payment and even most religious houses of worship now receive money in form of transfer. So, I can literally stay for days without holding cash. I use my card for all transfer.

The only time I need cash mostly is when I need to take public transport because they don’t accept transfer but if I was left to drive all through, I would still not need cash because even the fuel station accepts debit card.
5792  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc's possible next moves on: March 21, 2019, 04:33:05 PM
Once BTC touches the $4800 levels as speculated by you, I don’t see it getting anything below $4k levels again, it might be possible for us to see the $4k line because many people with smaller coins may sell their coin thereby forcing the price drop a bit but not to the extent of going below $4k because the major players are not willing to dance to the tune of $4k trend but rather aiming at $10k trend and above before creating any form of action on their holdings.

I am very much sure about big rally in coming months. But, we cannot be sure about any immediate movement as of now. Bitcoin market may enter into direct bull rally from here or may dip up to $3.8k levels before getting ready for bull markets. It will be a slight fluctuations hence we can make use of any dips if occurs.
5793  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Is Up a Staggering 3% But Can The Rally Continue? on: March 21, 2019, 04:10:10 PM
That's very difficult to predict if it will continue to rally because it seems still have no enough strength to make more pump IMO..because analyst says this new level is very critical which is bitcoin must defend or else significant losses could be imminent. So this is very unpredictable situation.
I really don’t see any significant loss coming, the only thing that would have caused a significant loss is that people sell off their holding which I believe is quite too young because it is getting very difficult for whales now to continue to play on the intelligence of the investors through panics sell.

Most of the young investors have already learnt from the older ones and those that are using it as means of trade which for sure will have little effect on it but not so significant to be counted as losses, so I think bitcoin is beginning to gather momentum for its pump now. Everything will become feasible soon and we will really know its direction.
5794  Economy / Speculation / Re: The updated BitCoin price predictions for 2019 . LOL on: March 21, 2019, 11:41:13 AM
Majority carries the vote, the unbeliever is really insignificant and I want to believe that he is just trying to crack a joke with Bitcoin because his $3k prediction is far way below realistic value.

Like you said, time will tell and in few months’ time, we will see the right one but as a believer, not only based on my opinion but based on all necessary analysis available for consumption, I think Bitcoin price at $9,000 at the end of this year is realistic to me, if bitcoin is to be gaining at least 30% increase in value every 3 months for the next 9 month. The figure quoted by each and every one of them will only be a reality after the next halving.
5795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CoinMarketCap hit $140B is this the start of the next bullrun? on: March 20, 2019, 07:48:51 PM
Cardano will actually be the best choice for now if we are to consider their community and the project involved, aside your two choices which are not that bad, would have advised that you go for Binance BNB, this is another hot cake coin in the making expecting to skyrocket to the moon within the next two years and will have major boost on the Coinmarketcap, just that the price is quite higher than the two you mentioned which might not give you much volume as those two would give but it’s not about the price but the market cap is what matters.
5796  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes newbie makes in trading resulting to losses on: March 20, 2019, 06:22:30 PM
If we decide to make trading our full time job then we must be sure that we have studied it and we must also be prepared on the consequences that may arise sooner. Per experience, though i am not a full time trader, trading is very stressful and takes a lot of time which lead to health deterioration if not manage properly.
I will not recommend for anyone to make trading as their main job, unless you’ve been into it for years and have also gained experience to the extent you have become an expert and very sure that you can live your life just by being a trader, cause if not, then you’re probably making a huge mistake. Don’t just quit your job because of trading, if you do, you might end up regretting why you ever did.

There are several mistake newbies often make during the course of trading which are listed below:
-snip
Wow that is cool and it’s really going to be of help. Greed is one bad thing lol, and lots of traders are quite greedy. No one is satisfied with little profit, they want to make quick money and huge profit in a once trade. Especially those ones that invest a little money and expect to make huge profit, more than what they invested before. Anyone who wants to succeed in this should learn not to be too greedy.
5797  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why we shouldnt panic sell on: March 20, 2019, 05:51:23 PM
Good advice mate indeed that's the only way how to stop lossing money especially if we already late to sell off. Panicking is a big mistake and patience is always a virtue.  So we should understand the situation because in fact it's just a temporary and so on market will stabilize again and again . No need worry actually!
Sometimes I don’t really know why people panics. It doesn’t make any sense. You started this and you were aware that there is risk in doing it, so why then should you be afraid when the price is falling? You should also be ready to handle the risk as you’re also ready to handle the profit that can also come from it. Buh anyway, I wouldn’t be the type that will make a mistake of allowing myself to lose too much before deciding on whether to continue or withdraw.

Panic selling doesn’t mean that you’re losing or wining, it just simply means that the trader is selling out of fear but it doesn’t say they are losing or not. Sometimes they can panic sell even when they are making profit, because they think that the price is going to drop at anytime. Worst is selling when you have made a huge loss. It’s better to just forget about it and wait for another time.
5798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will an increase in bitcoin price affect the gambling industry on: March 20, 2019, 04:26:27 PM
As we all know the value of bitcoin are down but we are still optimistic about the price bouncing back.
Am new to bitcoin sportbook I just want to ask what would change if bitcoin increases

I am totally sure that the fluctuations of bitcoin prices have an impact on the gambling industry.
In my opinion, when they price goes down (and the whole market cap), bitcoin becomes a cheaper coin and the volumes on the casinos are getting increased because people play with more bitcoin portions that before.
I believe this would even bring about more new interested players. Because, for those who have not been interested participating, at this point they could feel a bit interested in participating due to cheaper prices of all cryptos and especially cheaper bitcoins and to those who have been in the game obviously when there is a drop in the price of bitcoin, the volumes of casinos will definitely be on the rise as players would now be gaming with higher portions of bitcoin. I think this is just a simple logic.

At the same time, I am not seeing any gambler is staying away from gambling due to higher bitcoin prices in late 2017 and in early 2018. They were still preferring to go gambling with high value bitcoins. In my view, increase in bitcoin prices may not give big impact but downfall in bitcoin prices will make them to gamble more.
5799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Protect yourself from Excitement and keep your Winnings Safe on: March 20, 2019, 03:34:30 PM
With gambling it is really hard to achieve what we plan, in between things go unpredicted. This is common with gambling, to stay safe with the winnings we should have prior learning about the factors that tempt us to spend onto gambling unlike the winnings we make. This will give a perfect opportunity to win and keep our winnings safe without getting into excitement.
But I am differing here, I would say there is every possibility of achieving set out plan with gambling, it all depends on the players level of self control.

Learning about the factors that can lead to spend more is not a bad idea but in most cases spending more while gambling might not fall under the factors learnt and even when it does, the player would need self-control to overcome. Self control while gambling is the only key that can keep winnings safe without getting into excitement.
5800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: March 20, 2019, 03:01:13 PM
If its not money than what is it? If you offer both of these fighters 300+ million dollars each believe me they will definitely accept it.

The problem is they are getting old and they are already too old for boxing anyway and even though they are the best boxers of their own era its not like we would be watching the 30 year old peak period of them, it will be possibly their last important match ever if they do.

Hence, it is getting harder and harder with each day to find people to pay top dollar to watch them play, it will certainly make a lot of money but if they could make 10 small unimportant matches against other small and bad boxers and make the same amount of money they will fight 10 bad boxers instead of each other. In order for this fight to happen they should make sure they will make a lot of money from it and I don't see it happen anytime soon, it will most probably be less than the first fight.
