581  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is it possible to use the Blockchain to prevent vote-tampering? on: January 27, 2016, 01:08:13 PM
Of course, but the Bitcoin blockchain is public ledger. In less "democratic" countries you could be signing a death warrant for voting a certain way.

583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] Sonic - 1st TOR with functional anon send - Steganography based Anon App on: January 27, 2016, 07:09:38 AM
Here's a question for the developer. There has not been any updates to the twitter page since October 2014. What reasons does he have for not posting an update for such a long time? That's over a year!

Public hype and constant updates have never been argakiig's style. He's a quiet guy who dosnt want speculation on his tech developments. I know this is hard to achieve in the crypto sphere since everything revolves around that.

When his code is ready he will announce it but until then there is not much I can do. I have asked him a to drop in and ease some nerves/concerns in the past. Sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn't. He keeps up on the thread without logging in so he knows the concerns.

I know we all want the updated wallet with TOR browser released yesterday but he's 1 guy, with a job and a family. When the product is finished he will release. He also only has Hondo to help test things so when developing new tech it's hard to get all that done by yourself.

It was mentioned before that he also was/is sitting in on the blocknet project which is nearly ready for public consumption. The beta has been released to get hub and public launch should come next week. I do not know to what extent he helped with coding if any but I know much of it did come free lance. I'll have to look at Arg's github.

I know this really dosnt help to give a project completion percentage or release date but hope it helps a bit. You are more than welcome to join the slack by PM koontas here and let me know to have him check his PM's as he dosnt log into BTT much. Koontas is in charge of the slack channel.

Also there is no link to the "Slack" group chat on the Sonic website. Look for yourself http://www.sonic-coin.com/

Slack is ran by the XST team. Since they work so closely together they manage the slack channels.

I'll mention it to arg and see if he can get that added.

586  Economy / Gambling / Re: Finally earned 1 bitcoin.what to do? on: January 26, 2016, 10:25:15 PM
Join an affiliate program like in my signature, then use some of the BTC you earned to build it up and make residual income. Don't gamble but if you do use my signature so I get a cut Wink

Also saw that London taxicabs will soon be accepting Bitcoin Smiley not sure how they are set up across the pond but here in the US it's a monopoly between a few companies.

Find a good paying affiliate program like in my signature and promote the hell out of it.

Residual Bitcoin income Smiley

Also boost your rank and join a signature campaign, that way you get paid to post.
589  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bullish Media Center (The 1 stop Bullish BTC news source) on: January 26, 2016, 02:50:20 AM

The only better news is if uber started using Bitcoin Smiley still great news that such a large industry in the EU is looking to expand into Bitcoin.
590  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bullish Media Center (The 1 stop Bullish BTC news source) on: January 25, 2016, 09:39:34 PM

I have been hearing rumors of this a lot lately. I think micro payments for ad free browsing and viewing is an amazing concept.

Although the 10sec ads on YouTube every 3 or so views is annoying, I can't say I would spend my precious BTC to not have them show up Wink. I'm stingy with my BTC.

I'm so stingy with my BTC as well Grin

Micro and Nanopayments will have a great impact on Bitcoin, and regarding the YT example, we are talking here in mBTC and satoshis, remember this Tongue

Yes but those satoshi will be worth a few bucks in the years to come Wink
591  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bullish Media Center (The 1 stop Bullish BTC news source) on: January 25, 2016, 09:38:01 PM

Now that's classy! What you do in your personal time is your own business but taking it out on a public stage like that ruined his credibility and the public credibility of Bitcoin classic. Which I am against anyway.
592  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bullish Media Center (The 1 stop Bullish BTC news source) on: January 25, 2016, 08:47:21 PM

Had to share this 1 on social media, good find Fakhoury.

It's important to have the stars publicly promoting Bitcoin. I only can think of one other athlete (Richard Sherman of the Seahawks). He allowed payment on for his merchandise on his website in BTC.

595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Work colleagues laugh at me getting into Bitcoin on: January 25, 2016, 06:25:51 AM
I have been telling my work colleagues about bitcoin now for about 3 years and they still think its a big joke.  I dont care because i believe that some day i will be the one Laughing......  I think alot of it is people dont like things they dont understand and would rather make fun off it.

So was just wondering has anyone else on here had similar experiences and how did you deal with it?   Wink

I do get the same experience... But like you said I belive some day I will be the one saying " I told you so".

Can't do much else but try to explain it to them. It's to the point now though that they don't even listen.
596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Sport To Gamble on: January 25, 2016, 06:22:18 AM
I think Tennis and Soccer are the two best sports to gamble.. I have made considerable profits with this.. What do you guys think ?

College football is my baby. It's cuz I follow it closely so I know it.
597  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bullish Media Center (The 1 stop Bullish BTC news source) on: January 25, 2016, 04:39:37 AM

I am really interested in this. As coinbase has very good security and I wouldn't mind letting them hold some of my Bitcoin and get paid for it. Effectively making it POW without any code change Wink
598  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bullish Media Center (The 1 stop Bullish BTC news source) on: January 25, 2016, 04:37:56 AM

Excited for this as also 1 of the alts I like heavily is going to be apart of the open bazar network. XST and stealth send. Been waiting a long time for this.

On a side note I was contacted on this four years ago to be apart of the initial funding of open bazar. . .  Should of pulled the trigger on that but didn't fully understand the magnitude it would be in the Eco system... I'm an idiot...

Hello Community,

Market Depth feature is almost 100% ready for deployment to ETNA servers.

Just got word from dev team that it should be ready to push on Monday.

Market Data Servers have been reconfigured successfully within ETNA and live market data is now streaming the way it should be.

If some of you may remember in our attempt to cut overhead cost, we relocated 3 of our servers from Digital Ocean to AWS.

Now we have the correct IP's plugged in and has been tested.

Also,

Now that Cryptsy has gone down under, we have to take Cryptsy Markets off our servers.

Rolling with the punches on this...Maybe we will just hide the markets from public view and save the history, just in case Cryptsy comes up with a solution the community agrees on.

More Updates will be coming.

Cheers,

MasterTrader777

I agree with hiding the cryptsy chart options for now. You never know that might come out of it or a large investor might pick them up.

Thanks for the update.
