Next question: how do I point multiple rigs at the same wallet? Running Bitmonerod.exe on multiple PCs would download the full blockchain again, and running simplewallet.exe would create multiple wallets. The simpleminer.exe file seems to be the solution, but what is the syntax? If anyone has suggestions/help for running on multiple PCs, I'd appreciate it!
As stated at http://monero.cc/getting-startedbitmonero.exe MRO_address (the exact line is ./bitmonerod number_of_threads MRO_address) 1. upload the blockchain out of bitmonero (USB key, scp, ftp, whatever) and place it int .bitmonero (in %APPDATA%) 2. install bitmonero.exe and run bitmonero.exe MRO_address x (x being your number of threads (CPU*core*2) You don't need any other file than bitmonero.exe on your extra machines. Well, you were at least close. Here's the actual command needed to get mining (on Windows): bitmonerod.exe --mining-threads [threads] --start-mining [address] Is there a calculator or something that will give an estimated coins (blocks) per day for a given hash rate anywhere? My take: this coin is more than a little raw (alpha state I'd say, not even at beta level), and getting it on an exchange may only create problems until there's a better front end. Yeah this was unappealing to me but seems to be worth the time and annoyance |

The executable connectivity_tool is for diagnostics so it isn't very useful for users. The executable simplerminer is like cgminer is for scrypt coins. You leave it running to hash and submit shares to pools. When we can start pool mining, you'll be using that instead of the daemon. It's actually fully functioning already, but the pool implementation itself is unknown because the only CryptoNote pool (MinerGate for BCN) is not open source. Well there seems to be quite too many issues to start mining. Especially if using multiple machines its not worth the set up times/problems =/
You should test whether you're capable of synching Bitcoin and Bytecoin on these VPS instances. This will let you know whether the problem is with the local connection settings (Bitcoin fails) or BCN+MRO's code or just MRO's code. Well I really jsut want to mine on the vps, i mine other coins without a problem so not sure why this one gives me this |

Its been a good amount of time and its not done. I was thinking of putting all my VPS for this but just the set it is a bitch. |
