Wow, nice announcement. Maybe we'll start to see all these players put their best work out there for the market.

Been interesting to watch. Halong might still be around If Inno didn't pull the carpet on their t2. Then Halong struggled in a number of areas like you mention.

okay  some good news I got tracking number yeah Grin

As for  a taxable item When I got all the T1's + psu's from Yoshi/MyRig

DHL froze  shipment for a little bit of time. (2-3 hours)

I called help phone they gave me  a secure link to pay with a CC I paid with my Discover Card

Item was then released I think I lost a day maybe not.

when I get a tracking number I put it in and click on the sign up for shipment notifications

i add a cell phone and an email here

Nice, if your contact details are included on your shipping label they will typically notify for customs/delivery to a consumer without this process when signature is already required. Still a good practice.

Hello everybody
Now first to me I'm new here and get my first GekkoScience NewPac tomorrow and want to run it in the ckpool. CGminer is set up so that I only have to wait for the postman. I hope I can learn a lot here and maybe there will be more NewPac.

This is offtopic, but please keep in mind that the USB stick NewPac will gather only dust while mining on a regular pool.
Sticks are more commonly used for solo mining as a so called 'lottery ticket'.

He is close, its right here: http://solo.ckpool.org/

Forum thread here: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 251 blocks solved!

That said, this particular pool has a very low payment threshold:

Q: What is the dust threshold?
A: 5460 satoshi or 0.0000546 BTC. Once enough herp has been amassed to create this much derp, miners will enter the payout queue.

I have no idea how long would it take for a stick of those to reach 5460 satoshis. Doesn't this cause the same problem as the GPU miners?
Tried a mining calculator, and since its supposed to be a 22.8GH Asic, it should take two months to reach the minimum...

NewPac can run 100gh pretty easily. Still though unless you have a hub or two full of these I would solo mine. Or set up one mining to your own validating node is fun project.
586  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 40TH/80TH new Miners??? Swiss Miner on: February 16, 2019, 07:38:22 PM
I am pretty surprised this thread has gone on this long since my scam sense went off the moment i saw the first video posted.

Same but it's kind of nice that the thread flows so well and had a moment of fun when these guys went emo. Pretty sure this was decided a scam page 1.

Thanks for the update Phil

What $51 coupon is this?

Apparently dj here is associated with pango. I'd DM them.

Still invoicing has to be correct to be under de minimis. Would be much easier for consumers if pango just dropped the pricing back to 799USD.

this would be for 1 at a time  for each order spaced at least 1 week apart and is for usa buyers.

De minimis is one import under $800 per day. Any other imports on the same day would put you over this limit and duties would be due for all imports.

We'll be happy to apply dj's code for buyers but cannot guarantee invoicing is correct for de minimis status.

@minefarmbuy
Maybe create a group buy thread?

Might do one, but essentially we'd just ask people to use our website.

Interesting, just ordered my 3rd 31T and while on Pangolin's site there is now no mention of the 33T model - not even an out-of-stock notice. Think Pangolin has just settled on the 1 model for now? They raised the 31T specs to now be 31-33THs which is fully in line with what I see from the 2 that I have.

Yea, what I was saying a few posts back, no reason to have multiple models so close in spec.
589  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain will be releasing S15 and T15 on 8/11/2018 on: February 12, 2019, 05:19:41 PM
I found an exploit that can be used to enable SSH https://twitter.com/james_hilliard/status/1095225270011781120.

Yea just saw the twitter posts.

Only accessible with poor network security correct?
590  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [4+ EH] Slush Pool (slushpool.com); Overt AsicBoost; World First Mining Pool on: February 11, 2019, 04:36:31 PM

we will look into that.
You can report the bugs also on this website.

Thanks!

you guys always glaze over/skip the question about NMC - care to address? I mean it might be pretty moot seeing as NMC is near worthless now, but it was not worthless last year when payouts suddenly stopped.

Don't get me started on how shitty slushpool is. This "beta" shit is the same UI with features they should have built in years ago.
591  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain will be releasing S15 and T15 on 8/11/2018 on: February 11, 2019, 02:14:45 PM
T15 in LPM beats m10 stock. Best unit to import to the US imo.

Tried to mine with GMiner 1.31 on f2pool coocatoo31 on 3x1070 8Gb and 3x1080 8Gb. Non ti
OS - Hive OS
I got about 2.7-2.8 gps on miner dashboard and only 2.4 gps on f2pool. Why so? Maybe someone have best experience on other pools?

Shouldn't you be mining cuckaroo29 with those cards?

there is intensity option?

Don't see in the config. Also, wondering about difficulty setting.

have to have volume though, currently there are zero signs for a group on 31T. Only thing to work out is shipping to stay under deminis once we get to 200 units.

Group buy for the win. Sure we can get the pricing down and hopefully shipping throttled.

I feel a rant about shitting business decisions coming on. Mostly with MicroBT bobblenecking supply through poor vendors.

From what I've seen there's hardly a difference in the 33T and 31T models. Maybe an issue with poor product planning or a large batch of chips under spec?
598  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac Stickminer Official Support Thread on: February 07, 2019, 06:00:19 PM
It's full speed, I have the demo hub that didn't have fan connect yet. There's another version for the same fan available at 12v

599  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac Stickminer Official Support Thread on: February 07, 2019, 05:48:02 PM
Yea, that all i'm doing with my fan is setting them on top. Not a bright idea in general but then they're not OC'd as far others and still cool to the touch.

https://noctua.at/en/nf-f12-industrialppc-24v-3000-q100-ip67-pwm/specification

This is the fan I have, not to noisy for the CFM it pushes. Used to have it on an underclocked s7

T15 is best the best option under de minimis right now. At least on the m10 31T the tariff is "marginal" compared to other units. Looks like about 1.2k with duties/shipping is about right.
