581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QBC] Québecoin - X11 - DGW - (BITTREX) - Win/Mac/Linux Wallets - New on: May 12, 2014, 05:10:19 PM
I will make an effort to keep this thread "FUD" free, so here are some facts. Any speculation on my part is clearly noted.

Dev posting multiple times a day prior to IPO.

IPO ends. Speculation: This is when the dev truly stops giving a shit.

Highly anticipated launch is postponed 24 hours. People that rented rigs are pissed off. Dev claims 2 days wasn't enough between IPO and launch. Of course, i'm sure dev was working and coding 48 hours straight and still missed the launch /sarcasm  Roll Eyes

Dev makes last minute changes to the wallet changing to the reward structure resulting in the windows wallet not being ready for launch. More people pissed off.

Some exchange adds QBC, dev decides Bittrex is good enough and exchanges shouldn't add QBC without "permission". I haven't seen another example of this in the crypto world. Obviously 2 exchanges is better than 1.

Countless legitimate, honest questions ignored by dev. Offers to help the coin also ignored by dev.

I'm furious at myself. Can't believe I "invested" (more like donated) 1.5 btc into this shitcoin

Probably GOX. Think how many people must have said "fuck this" after that. For many it was their first exposure to crypto and I imagine the majority kept their coins on there
583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: Would you like Bitcoin Core to switch to µBit as the default Bitcoin unit? on: May 07, 2014, 02:10:47 PM
NO

Can we please just leave it alone?

I think it's a lot more embarrassing to market your Pre-Ann with how dedicated you are to the coin, how you're working on it on all hours of the night and posting here about it, only to essentially disappear after the IPO. Not to mention this ridiculous maple syrup situation.

The problem with crypto right now is not only saturation, but even more so copy/paste "developers" with a lack of integrity.

Hi,

I just joined the forum, been mining QBC for a couple days now even if I don't know much about cryptocurrency.

I'm an IT Systems Integrator in the Gatineau, QC area.

I have access to a fast hosting server in IWeb data center in Montreal where I could setup a quick bilingual Wordpress and PHPbb for free (of course QBC donations would be nice)

Just let me know and I can setup everything within an hour or so.

Sounds awesome man, I would definitely contribute towards that

Thanks for the updates JP

Not sure if this has been mentioned already but came across a Quebecoin article, I enjoyed the read http://www.coinssource.com/je-mappelle-quebecoin/

is anyone mining on minep.it having issues with payouts? mining seems fine but payouts do not seem to be happening

I'm mining there, no issues with payouts. I got one last night by entering my QBC address and the coins were sent automatically as my balance was over 1.5 QBC

They should just eliminate "post count" under usernames as it doesn't have much relevance. Many such as myself have been lurking since 2011
591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE REAL reason why BTC has a slow adoptive rate on: April 14, 2014, 08:36:28 PM
I agree with OP, and he continues to be proven right by some of the replies in this thread.

I don't agree with OP, and Noobs continue to not do their due diligence, use the search function, and post quality non flaming threads.

I should clarify. I agree with him in most, but not all cases.

593  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: up to 800GH/s on: March 16, 2014, 11:17:02 PM
Let's just agree to disagree when it comes to refunds and contractual obligations. I have a feeling this will have to be fought out in court or arbitration. Not here as it has already been discussed ad nauseam. (I do think potential new customers should be warned of the risks though)

Instead, HashFast_CL (As the community liaison and official spokesperson for HashFast on this forum) can you please help to make this thread more constructive by providing useful information including:

* Expected MPP shipments & quantities for Batch 1 customers.
* Upgrades shipment schedule
* Current production/logistical issues (if any)
* Upcoming firmware updates and cgminer improvements.
* Actual 'out-of-box' product specifications
* etc.

Can we just try to make the best out of a bad situation? Together? Show your customers you are willing to work with us, not against us.

599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Found a way to multiply Coinye and Doge earnings [Not telling ((yet))] on: January 12, 2014, 08:33:29 PM
I have a 1.5MH rig mining on middlecoin right now. If there was some way to split the earnings generated from the excess hashpower that would be win-win
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Found a way to multiply Coinye and Doge earnings [Not telling ((yet))] on: January 12, 2014, 08:25:49 PM
Sorry to hear that. If I discovered a sure thing, I would scrape together everything I could to purchase older, less efficient mining gear and host the miners with friends and family. Best of luck in your endeavor
