581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Coin2.0 [C2.0] - The forward thinking POS altcoin with a plan. on: April 18, 2014, 05:08:59 PM
Can anyone tell me how the stake thing in the wallet works?
How can I calculate/estimae the reward for mining? I have 80000 coins in my wallet (currently 40000 in stake). Not sure what my hashpower is but I got +- 200 transactions today...
I got 33 coins when the 40000 was added to my stake..

You are not mining anything, you are getting interest on the total coins you hold
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Coin2.0 [C2.0] - The forward thinking POS altcoin with a plan. on: April 18, 2014, 04:39:02 PM

Its not a true multipool actually. Multipool switches to mine the most profitable coin and sells it for btc to buy the target coin. We have not launched a multipool yet.

Its a temporary pool mining flutter, but pretty much does the same job

586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin2 was the FIRST free - fair distribution on: April 18, 2014, 10:03:52 AM
Premine was first. Coin2 was some kind of stealth facebook launch, and failed so badly it needed to be scrapped and re-released as a proof-of-stake coin. Faircoin had a reasonably fair release, although some users still managed to scam it.

Lol, failed, scrapped? IT IS SELLING AT 1000 satoshi mate. And it was 'switched' to POS , all coin holders got converted coins.

I just checked your post history, looks like you have nothing to do other than spreading FUD

The coin suffered multiple forks and died. That is a fail in my book. Dev didn't have the skills to change it to POS so an entirely new coin was released instead (albeit with a 1:1 redemption ratio). How can you call distribution to a select set of facebook friends fair? Some people don't even use facebook. Facebook is hardly the premier site for altcoin releases either.

I don't need to spread FUD because the coin will die again all on its own.

Your comments have confirmed that you are a stupid teen sitting behind his keyboard talking about something which he knows nothing about. Dev is a highly intelligent guy who thought a completely new blockchain was the best option because C2 purchased before the attack would be invalid if the chain was rolled back. It was the best decision as dev didnt want people to lose their money due to pre attack rollback. Now better get out of crypto before you lose some serious money on a shitcoin as people like you tend to get more attracted to them

I couldn't care less about the coin, but I take exception to your hypocrisy. Take these quotes from your OP for example.

...
So coin2 was the first free giveaway coin ...

...This thread was made to educate people as some coins are using the I AM FIRST statement to give some artificial value to their coin.

You are using the same "I AM FIRST" routine to gain artificial value for C2. Premine was clearly the first.

Unfortunately, people dont understand what the real intention was, they just go on saying the same thing again and again. I posted to talk about a third coin which now says they were the first. Its like litecoin saying im the first crypto coin. Whatever, i am not here to pump anything. Clearing the facts only
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: April 18, 2014, 09:35:42 AM
Hey guys, C2 needs an update.
It is now NC2 and called Coin 2.0
You might want to fix this  Grin
Thank you!

+1, please update the correct market cap as total number has now increased. Trading started on BTER again
588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a good recent coin? on: April 18, 2014, 08:05:52 AM
Coin2
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IMPORTANT - Lets End This AltCoin Madness - NOW on: April 17, 2014, 07:43:31 PM
I agree, i think everyone should. We need coins with active development teams actually doing something usefull than planning pumps. But it all starts from the users who seem to like all this chaotic madness to earn some quickie profits

Dont listen to anyone here, research yourself
591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting way to manipulate the difficulty? on: April 17, 2014, 03:51:34 PM
This can only work if there are less than 20 miners and you are one of the biggest ones. I have done this with an alt named Machinecoin which nobody knew about. I used to stop my miner just before 200 blocks and restart after difficulty dropped.
592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with active devs, per Heartbleed bug example on: April 17, 2014, 02:50:38 PM
I think the OP forgot about this thread

I compiled a Mac Wallet (10.8+) for the new Coin2.0 (NC2). Compiled using the latest openssl libraries.

what kind of drama.

Joel told Bter to open trade almost 1day and half ago.

Bter is waiting for go-ahead.

How can we open it while we haven't got any  new C2 from the dev?
Wait, actually we have got 1 new C2 from the dev for testing our address.

but no worry, "joel511" will send us soon, I am quite sure.
I got stuck at a business meeting last night I apologize I will send as soon as possible

We just got your transaction. C2 on Bter is about to re-open.

Bter

Thanks for the update freeworm
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think 100% pre-mine coins are good?? on: April 17, 2014, 12:33:11 PM
Satoshi mined close to a million bitcoins in early days. Today that early mining is known as Instamine

So Bitcoin=Instamined

100% premined POS coin givenaway to people is the way to go. No precious electricity wasted for mining coins and no carbon footprint, and it is actually the most fair way to distribute coins. It also gives interest on total coins you hold.

Don't believe anyone who denies this

Coin2 did just the same - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483847.0

Are you stupid...so the first 1000 or so to get in should control the entire currency? That's fair? You don't believe any counter-arguments, let me guess, because you're a holder in Coin2 and you got in before every one else, also because you're greedy as fuck and only care about making profit off of these 100% pre-mine coins?

Ehh, no, thanks, bye.

Do you even know how much of bitcoin the top 100 wallets are holding? Probably not, but you will know once a single wallet will try to liquidate and crash the whole market

A quick exploit in Coin2's distribution that we've ultimately learned. The dev required to have you post on facebook to acquire C2, well it was revealed shortly after that you could change your Facebook name, and make it seem like another user.

Thus acquiring 3-4 shares in C2, multiple that with a few facebook accounts if someone chose to do so.

Each individual account was checked for joining date and number of posts, friends
