581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to roll-back Ordinals? on: November 08, 2023, 09:07:42 AM
Bitcoin lost many developers and fans due to this debacle and was set back quite a bit. We now have 4MB blocks with SegWit and a literal shitcoin riding on-chain and clogging our blocks.
But, losing many developers doesn't mean Bitcoin isn't improving after that, the improvement is still happen as the latest BIP is 389.

✔️ Non-fungible: yes, ordinals are non-fungible as they are individual units of account.
✔️ Token: as applied to cryptocurrency, yes, they are distinguishable, named units or subsets that reside inside of a blockchain and can be transferred from one owner to another.
Correct, for additional explanation [WARNING] Stay away from BRC-20 tokens - they are doomed in the long term.

Many people still confused between NFT and BRC 20 tokens, the simple understanding is like ERC 20 tokens where Tether run in Ethereum Network, is every Tether has it's own uniqueness? nope.

However, if Man Utd wants to sell Jadon Sancho, Man Utd will also face many difficulties. Not many clubs are willing to recruit this midfielder at a high price when he has been out of action for so long, and his performance has dropped significantly compared to when he played for Borussia Dortmund. MU may have to sell at a loss equal to half of the money they bring in.
He's a striker, not a midfielder.

Manchester United spent for 73 Million Euros to sign him, but now his market value is only 33 Million Euros. But yeah, Manchester United are forced to sell Sancho at loss since Ten Hag not want to train him anymore.

Camavinga is a great player. His real position was a midfielder but since he can't compete with some midfielders and he try to play as a defender.
Someone: Camavinga, what's your real position?
Camavinga: Yes

I have seen users making continuous posts without any time gap just to complete their weekly Target for bounty campaigns or even signature campaigns
So this is the reason why you intentionally give at least a hour gap between your previous post and next post in order to not trigger the campaign manager to kick you?

Thanks to merit system that users cannot climb up the ranking just by count of posts and activity as merit is required
If you're not get merit airdropped, you're still a member rank lol.

because I have seen people used to make numerous posts even single or two worded to climb the ladder of the ranks before merit was made mandatory for ranking system.
Do you think you're not?

Most of us will receive a random DM by users offering exchange saying they will share a merit to your account from their alternative account and ask you to share merit on their account. Never indulge in this activity as moderators can easily identify it and your account may be blacklisted and sometimes newbie are cheated on this context as there are group who will ask you to pay for merit and end up running away with your money once you pay it.
I, as an user who have been here for 3 years, never get any single DM asking to share/buy merit.

Where's the proof if the moderators can easily identify that and ban those cheaters?
584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's happening with Bitcoin transaction fees? on: November 07, 2023, 01:21:22 PM
Yeah it seems there many stupid people want to get tricked by Ordinal again, that because Binance is now start accepting this shitcoin.

This situation would not help small investors and traders as they would avoid these kinds of transaction fees.
It will not affect traders, they're leave their coins in centralized exchange and even they want to withdraw their coins, CEX is charge a fixed fee regardless the situation on mempool.
585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: November 04, 2023, 08:55:49 AM
Liverpool's performance this season both in the premier league and the Europa league have been very impressive, had it been they made efforts of this nature last season they would have qualified for champions league. Liverpool has the highest Champions league record in England and they make lots of impact whenever they qualify for champions league it's just quite unfortunate that they are not in the champions league campaign this season and England is really missing them.
They're very strong in the old era since the four titles they own were before 2000s, now they're only "strong", strong isn't enough to win a title. For now and the next few years Champions League winners are either Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich, there's almost no team can compete them except they made a big move by signing over priced players e.g. Osimhen, Mbappe, Saka etc.
586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 04, 2023, 08:42:44 AM
If the two teams that are now in first and second place in the standings (Inter Milan and Real Sociedad) collect 3 more points, then it will erase the hopes of Benfica. As for Salzburg, although they still have hope, but they still have to hope that one of Inter Milan or Real Sociedad loses in their last 3 matches and instead Salzburg must win all the remaining matches. With a scenario like that, it is something that is very difficult to realize, especially the two teams above will also always aim for good results in every match they do to ensure themselves that they will qualify from this group phase.
Both Benfica and Salzburg are only play in farmer league, that's why they can't compete against tough teams from other regions. It's different with Inter and Real Sociedad, they might be not the best in their own leagues, but they're used to fight against top teams every season.

Not to mention the good players in Benfica and Salzburg will join to other teams since they're more stronger or popular.
587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 04, 2023, 08:35:14 AM
Arsenal lost to West Ham in Carabao Cup midweek could could be attributed to resting of some their key players thus I still believe that the team is still very formidable and stand a chance to win their match Newcastle in today's match though it will be very close, however I believe they would narrowly win the game, Newcastle drew their match against Wolves last weekend after the centre referee Anthony Taylor awarded a penalty controversially to them  thus Newcastle remain inconsistent in the league, I don't think they can win a more determined Arsenal side, though playing in St. James' Park is advantage for the home team.
I doubt with that because Rice, Saka, Martinelli and Vieria were played in this match, it's different when they past match against Brentford where those four players weren't playing. Even they use such "resting player" strategy to prepare the match against Newcastle, I don't think they will win.

Newcastle is evolving and they will play in their own home, head to head score is pointless here.
588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 93 Percent of all Bitcoin Has Been Mined on: November 04, 2023, 07:11:57 AM
Bitcoin awareness and adoption will affect the price of bitcoin positively but government regulations will make the currency more centralised. Government involvement might increase public trust and confidence which will increase the price of bitcoin but many people will lose privacy.
The terms of Bitcoin become more centralized isn't really a problem in terms of "price" because they only allow Bitcoin trade in centralized exchange. But even they regulate Bitcoin, they still can't control the protocol and can't own every mined Bitcoins since not everyone agree to use CEX.

Since not everyone will use CEX, it means those people will not lose their privacy too since they can trade through P2P or DEX.

As I read that a single Bitcoin is mined in about one hour so how does 93% take such a short time to mine?
Wow, 150 merits, one year on this forum, and he knows one Bitcoin is mined per hour!
This is why de-merit should exist. Grin
589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the odds of guessing someone's private key or seedphrase? on: November 04, 2023, 04:35:20 AM
Someone who think the security in Bitcoin is low can try yourself by input 12-24 words randomly base on BIP39 word list. Bitcoin is really transparent, you can view every codes in their Github, you can access the wallet free without any cost and everything.

Being 100% transparent could increase vulnerability risk, but why Bitcoin is never get hacked? answer it by yourself.

590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: November 03, 2023, 02:50:36 PM
There are gamblers that are willing to take that risk, even with that small probability, they are going to gamble because that's what their mind is telling them. But if you think logically, the chances are very slim. That's why we will hear advise like just enjoy and have some fun and not think of it as the only way to make money.
Actually there's no exact calculation you could make money through gambling, it's all depends on your luck.

While gamble with such very low probability, hitting that will make you earn big amount of money, but there's no guarantee it will recover all of your previous losses.

Winning or profit in gambling is just temporary because you will start to lose when you keep gamble.
591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: November 03, 2023, 02:37:21 PM
Real Madrid is the most successful team in the Champions League and they got humiliated by Manchester City last season. To me it seems that the achievements from the past don't help you a whole lot when you are playing new games. Sevilla has won it last season and that is fine, but how does that raise their chance or make them the favorite this season? My guess is that they may not even make it into the Europa League, but if they do wouldn't it be short-sighted to think that they are the favorite because of the title they won last year? They have a Champions League group that they should survive against PSV and Lens, but probably they don't. That's proof enough that they would not be the favorite in a competition where Liverpool and Leverkusen are playing. If they can't beat PSV or Lens, why would they be favorite against Liverpool or Leverkusen?
It's because of psychology.

People always forecast anything base on the history, so they think Real Madrid is the strongest team in UCL and Sevilla is the strongest team in UEL. The luck that those teams have in the past seasons make they think Real Madrid and Sevilla will have a same luck in the future.

It's correct a new strong team might challenge them, but not every time.
592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 03, 2023, 02:14:13 PM
Maybe Onana is not suited to playing with the new defensive system because he often plays the ball in the penalty box area so he needs a defender who is really concentrated and doesn't make mistakes.
In short Onana isn't good because he's not a pure goalkeeper who able to saves, but a build up goalkeeper. Inter's defenders are really strong, so Onana don't need to saves many shots. It's different to Manchester United who have weak defenders.

I made another comment that Manchester United is a popular club but Newcastle is currently a good performing club so Newcastle may be ahead in this match.
What's the point to knowing if Manchester United is a popular club in the first place. Cheesy
593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 93 Percent of all Bitcoin Has Been Mined on: November 03, 2023, 10:26:54 AM
Despite Bitcoin circulation, mining difficulty etc are keep rising, but it's not entirely make Bitcoin price increase too if the market is small, Bitcoin is still not achieve it's mass adoption due to not regulated. The biggest task is making an Average Joe feel safe to invest in Bitcoin or the government is legally regulated Bitcoin.

you sure need bitcoin for the generation coming through you, accumulate bitcoin for them, it's a legacy they will live to forever remember you for.
It's up to everyone choice whether they want to pass their coins to their next generation or not, after all you must focus with your life "right now" instead of thinking about heritage.
594  Economy / Economics / Re: Are You Sticking to Your Plan or Has Life Made You Pause or Modify It? on: November 03, 2023, 10:07:15 AM
Advising to newcomer about Bitcoin isn't mean the my Bitcoin investment is already successful and there's no such a complete plan!

I always say for newcomer to learn about Bitcoin, then invest it using DCA strategy, and make sure you've have a job that pays well first. I'm not someone who said investing in Bitcoin will be successful regardless how much you earn monthly or something like that.

If you earn good amount of money monthly, you wouldn't need to change your plan because you have money that you can use for emergency needs.
595  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin help global refugees and migrants to relocate to new countries? on: November 02, 2023, 03:35:34 PM
Even they have money, isn't they aka every people including civilians need to fight and not leave their country?

Don't link Bitcoin with banks, we can trade via P2P, so they can do that too.

So the question is rather whether this part of the population has bitcoins ?
Usually people own Bitcoin is rich, even they're live in a conflict country, they can fly to other country before the war happen.

Refugees who stay in the country during war are poor or middle class which mostly not own any Bitcoin nor even understand it.

Who else is to blame if not Ten Hag, so far Te Hag has been given very special rights by the Manchester United management regarding the selection of players and also the time for the process which has been quite long.
Ten Hag brought a lot of hope last season and he asked for many players to be brought in and Manchester United management agreed, then this season Manchester United's performance has not improved, the number of injured players is not an excuse, he as a coach should be able to find a solution.
I think there is no way Manchester United can change, except sacking Ten Hag.
Yep, people are expecting Manchester United to sign more players, but they're forget when Ten Hag is signing player, it's 100% full of personal choice. He will bought more Netherlands and Ajax players, just like previously he did.

We don't need such manager who focus to sign his "favorite player", we need an objective manager.
597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 02, 2023, 08:10:04 AM
The Catalan giants are reportedly interested in signing 22-year-old striker Santiago Giménez, often referred to as the 'Mexican Haaland'.
It's funny to see what the medias create the title, they always compare to Haaland.

It's start from Black Haaland aka Osimhen, then Baby Haaland aka Hojlund, now Mexican Haaland aka Gimenez. I'm more trusting Osimhen and Hojlund, Gimenez only play in a weak local league. We shouldn't forget with Gakpo, he was good in PSV, but in Liverpool he's just a mediocre player.
598  Other / Meta / Re: Image ban or tagging, is it possible? on: November 02, 2023, 06:56:30 AM
You might wonder how this can be proven. In simple terms, if you copy an image from within bitcointalk, where the original creator is known, like one from the "10th-anniversary art contest," and you post it here somewhere, claiming it to be your own without referencing the original poster, it's a clear-cut case of plagiarism, and I can guarantee it will result in a ban.
Read @mprep's reply above, since he's a global moderator who has hammer to ban any user, I trust his words in this case. If you still stand with your opinions, I dare to challenge you to find which user get banned due to committing plagiarism about user's image.

Therefore, I will advise you to include the image source link.
As long as you're not claiming the image is created by yours, you will not get any punishment.

Posting an image without source is like a grey area, similar to took someone else words without providing the original source, but you're mention the words are come from someone or you're use quotation mark.
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 01, 2023, 01:40:32 PM
Chelsea don't deserve any trust to bet on them from now on. They really made me believe in them for once previously and I decided to bet on them against Brentford. However they made me really annoyed after that performance. How can you be this clumsy while you can find numerous chances to score in the first half?

I really don't understand this team. They are still the same as the previous season. There is literally no change despite spending around 500 million euros before this season as well. This team deserve to be managed way better.
Yeah that's why you can advantage by betting against them since Chelsea mostly become favorite due to their popularity despite they have a poor performance.

Chelsea actually only spend 400 Million Euros, the 100 Million Euros is a donation for Ukraine to save Mudryk from war. If Mudryk joined a war against Russian, he might be death. Mudryk need to thank Chelsea by saving him, that's why since he know he's not good in football, he create many videos as a brand ambassador.
600  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "change password frequently" on: November 01, 2023, 01:29:52 PM
As long as you can sign a message from your address, you're fine.

Changing password or not,  it's up to personal choice. You can say your password is already strong and wouldn't be hacked, but someone can say it's better to change your password once a year for extra security.

I'm not changing my password because I'm lazy lol.
