This release solves the recent blockchain forking issue, including the follow changes:
- Synchronizing checkpoint & master server introduced; this is to remove constantly checking on the misbehaving and IP banning, along with the error "block with too little proof-of-stake or proof-of-work". The checkpoint master server and keys remain to be used from now on; they are likely to be removed in the future;
- Implemented a block generation rule: PoW / PoS blocks are mined / minted by following a pattern: 1) at least two PoS blocks minted between two consecutive PoW blocks, or PoW blocks generated every 10 minutes; 2) at least one PoW block is found in five consecutive PoS blocks, or PoS blocks generated every 3 minutes;
- Difficulty adjustment will be changed to four-block exponential moving average. When there is violation in aforementioned PoW / PoS generation rule, the difficulty remains unchanged.
The following hard forks are scheduled to implement the changes:
- block 1481500: PoW / PoS block generation rule, and also exit point of the maintenance mode;
- block 1482000: difficulty adjustment algorithm switch.

1) Backup wallet.dat;

Magi will send requests to the exchanges for updating wallets & ask to remove "maintenance" after its done.
3 years after btc launch it made a huge jump. Magi will try to do the same. There are so many different currencies at this moment. There are less currencies who will pass tge 3 years. Magi just did! So let's work together as strong community to make Magi stronger!

The new wallet is about to solve this issue. Thats good news Joe. Thanks for all your hard work. Tomorrow Magi will be 3 years old. At this moment the world of digital currencies are in a drop. Some bad articles about BTC & crypto might be the reason. Would be awesome if Magi can show good things in the Crypto world. Keep up the good work! Depends on the time zone i think. Guess for Europe it will be tomorrow. Great lets hope we have a great 3rd birthday for Magi - There is a lot of FUD around bitcoin right now but it always seems to grow back stronger - Magi also does that =) Right amigo. It always goes in waves. Last month was hard period for Magi. But followers grow with 25% on twitter in that period. Also lots of new followers from the east part of the world. Think when all pools are up to date after tomorrow & exchanges finished with the updates & remove the maintenance Magi might surprise all crypyo-lovers. |
