Marketplace Update

Unfortunately after delaying the launch, it took a lot longer to resolve the problem I found. Which turned into many hours of work, then the api server decided to crap out, which meant I could not progress until it was sorted first, that was out of my hands, because it was a hardware issue the host had to fix. That only happened today!

I didn't post due to comments on previous delays where I updated everyone and had comments about me making excuses. So why bother when likely not believed anyway!

AS I've posted previously everything I've said has been true, in terms of what I've done/working on and what I release. Although the MP has taken far longer than I originally expected or hoped...


But finally it's now ready in part to post the marketplace site link. It still has dummy products listed, one test product (set at $0.10) IF anyone feels like doing a live sale. I've also temporary disabled BTC payments, and 1-2 other elements, which will be enabled next week.

Why? I'm going to a family members funeral on Thurs and traveling tomorrow. So after that, over the weekend I'll enable BTC payments and also add the first product (owned by the MP) for sale from Monday (8th) onwards. And if everything is ok will add the second product (also owned by the MP) later in the week.







I'll be posting further details soon, explaining future plans and ideas I have. Also about the profit share of the MP revenue with KTK holders.

I've been thinking what other coins that can be added, ones that already have an api because it means they can be added much quicker than setting up an online wallet/api (although this will still be happening). They need to have the functions to generate new addresses for each customer, and send multiple payments at once.

I found Dogecoin and Litecoin both have api's and the functions required to integrate with the marketplace, they also has other factors that make them candidates for adding to the MP. If anyone know of other coins that have an api, please post or pm me.

Marketplace Update

After making some changes yesterday, doing some final testing today and now it's not completing the payment correctly!

So I need 1-2 hours to trace back to see what's going on and fix. Hate to add further delays, but it will be going live today just need a little extra time to resolve the problem.

As soon as it's fixed, I can post the MP details/link.

Marketplace Update

A little teaser, just a screenshot of the updated payment modal (run out of time today to put a video together, sorry peeps).

Each coin will look the same apart from the timer, it will expiry depending on the coin network. For KTK it's set at 5 mins waiting for payment to land in the unique KTK address, which is more than enough due to how fast KTK is, and BTC is set to 15 mins.

Once the first confirmation is received it displays a progress bar for the required confirmations, then redirects the customer to the download page.

Final date, it will be going live tomorrow! 

There is only so much I'm willing to invest without seeing a return. Because everything so far has been out of my pocket, we still have a large amount of KTK (approx 900k) that in part was donated, if after the launch of the marketplace we see a rise, then that can help with paying for some marketing. And would also like a few authors adding products before paying for advertising.

Other than that, will see how the MP goes. I now have 2 products that will be for sale, a wordpress plugin and theme. So that's 100% revenue to the MP, and adding more of our own products is one goal. Then KTK supporters can promote those products and earn a commission on sales they refer, if we can get affiliates promoting and we have high conversions it's will bring a lot more revenue then paying for expensive marketing.

I've been selling digital products for years, and have always preferred working with affiliates to do the promotion, it's often more profitable if it's targeted traffic that converts into sales.

Lets get the MP live first, then can work on a plan going forward.

I don't know about that, theirs is decentralized which ours isn't. The main focus was to create a marketplace for digital content, web templates, themes, plugins etc. Much like other existing marketplaces that only accept traditional payments (credit cards, paypal etc) and charge huge fees to authors (55-65% if not exclusive or 12.5-37.5% if they are exclusive), but in our case will be for multi-crypto currencies with very small fees, and in the near future a credit card option will be enabled, but even then will continue with the same small fees.

Decentralized is great but it was not the focus for this marketplace. I've not looked in great detail of their MP, but I wanted to attach an asset to KTK, that generates revenue and share a part of that with KTK holders. As a means of rewarding those who hold KTK long term, instead of simply dumping after seeing a price increase and moving onto the next coin. That might happen in the short term once the MP is live, but once it starts generating regular revenue I see that stabilizing the KTK price.



To begin with it has BTC and KTK, and will then look to add others.

I have 2 options that I'll post once the MP is live, and with feedback decide which option to go with. But in general terms, other coins need to qualify based on a few factors (yet to be determined) because with hundreds of coins we can't add them all!

First being that any vendors using the service will have the option to select which coins they accept (except BTC/KTK they are required). If a coin  don't have an api already, that's fine because the KTK online wallet code can be used to setup for any coin, so automatically it will have an api we can use. But the coin needs to have a decent user base, otherwise what's the point.

It costs money and time to setup and host an online wallet, so not going to add coins that don't benefit the MP and help generate revenue. And depending on the 2 options I have in mind, will determine how we go about which coins are added.


I agree with the KTK development, and a % of the MP revenue will be allocated to that. So we have ongoing updates!

Marketplace Update

Okay everyone the marketplace will be going live this Saturday 29th @ 4pm GMT. I'll post a countdown timer closer to launch, plus 1-2 screenshots tomorrow/Fri. I'm also going to try if I have time get a video done to show the process of purchasing an item and how it works exactly for the customer.

Have a couple of things I want to tweak this week and it's ready.

You were stuck at block 271k, I updated the .dat file (after seeing your post) to 576k so it wouldn't take much to sync!

Depending on the wallet version you're using. If it's 1.5.5.0, then you can try this .dat file:

It's up to block 576733, this was from a windows 7 machine. Replace the old in...\AppData\Roaming\KryptKoin

If you get an error, then try...

1. You can rename new blk0001.dat to the bootstrap.dat and start the wallet.
2. You can use the option -loadblock=c:\new\blk0001.dat - loading blocks from blk0001.dat to the wallet blockchain.

You should remove old blk0001.dat before updating.

Lets save this! 

I said I'll never understand, especially when at this point little btc is made, but I don't care why an individual would dump. Those smart enough can see it's risk reward, the online wallet was released, same thing will happen with the marketplace.

If the MP wasn't going to happen, I would post here to let everyone know. Delays happen in coding, I don't see the correlation of how it was originally distributed with that fact.

As long as they are confirmed, it will add the generated KTK to your balance. Can check the transaction details on the block explorer to see KTK was added to the original address the coins were staked from.

After testing, I wasn't happy with how it was setup and so made updates to the online wallet api, adding some extra functions.

So now updating the code on the marketplace side. I can use a small part of the original code, but need to write some from scratch to reflect the new api functions being used.

Hope to have that done within a few days, I'll update everyone once it's ready and then set a release date.

I delivered on the online wallet and will do the same with the marketplace, it's not a 5 minute job though, nor can I work on it 24/7. So unfortunately takes longer than normal to complete. But if anyone doubts it's not coming is a fool! 




After the MP is released, and I'm happy with how it works. The focus will be on 3 things:

1) Getting authors/vendors on board to list some of their products for sale. Even those not in crypto will be able to use it, as a fiat payment option will be added shortly after it goes live. So that will open it up to a much wider audience.

2) Start adding new coins as payment options, the online wallet/api can be setup for any other PoS coin that doesn't have an api already. Nearly all coins could do with more places to purchase stuff, so I'll be looking at adding coins that will help the MP increase it's reach. I don't plan on adding every coin out there, a set criteria will be in place = quality over quantity!

3) Marketing and also promoting the affiliate side of things where anyone can refer others and earn various commissions. Regardless of how small the KTK community is, if there is money to be made from the MP. It will attract people, so those that do hold KTK will ultimately benefit from the revenue affiliates help generate.

I understand it's been ongoing for a while now, but once it's live things will change. It's not a dedicated KTK currency marketplace, it's a marketplace for digital products that will accept multiple crypto currencies. It just so happens the same person setup both, and the MP in part will be a KTK asset. So I'll let people make their own minds up if that's a plus or not! 


Another coin is set to release a marketplace tomorrow, I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like and compare to our MP!



On a different note, glad I had a few buy orders that caught 90k of the dump to 100 sat today! although will never understand why someone would dump when it's been trading higher. Doesn't seem worth it for the amount of btc received. Although I'm guessing some are waiting for the MP release to do the exact same thing!

It's a very small improvement on first loading, but the issue with slow syncing still needs looking at. And as HYPster mentioned, the qt wallet will be worked on to resolve the problem after the MP is completed.

Marketplace Update

Okay peeps, the marketplace will be ready for next week! 

Just got a few design elements I want to finish over the weekend. Those who tested the online wallet, I'll pm you early next week with the MP details so you can try it out. Shortly after that it's going live!

The explorer states: "This feature is very experimental, inaccurate"

But let's clear this confusion up by looking at how Bittrex works...

If you look at the Bittrex address with 3M (KRQbc98oX5zhtF4fTetCzRcRtHdVhHqQLR), and track it back to this address K8JvD1ZFgannnD8dhrmT4hWxsNJMSevmUN. You can see by looking at ALL the transactions, it's had 1M KTK but has been sent back and forth to Bittrex a couple of times.

Now the important part, which anyone can test for themselves. If you send say 1000 to your Bittrex KTK address, it will then display that on the explorer. Now if you withdraw that 1000 it won't be from the same address you sent to in your Bittrex account!

I know whose address held the 1M, I'm inclined to say they don't have 3M KTK. The largest Bittrex address has received 3M, but the person withdrew twice and it was sent from multiple addresses held by Bittrex (shown in explorer). It was not withdrawn from the address it was originally sent to in the person's Bittrex account.

Which is why Bittrex now has an address holding 3M, but it's not a single account!

Very true, the problem now is trying to get others to dump when the marketplace isn't far off release. Running the risk of losing some ktk, earlier today I noticed the person pushing the sell wall all the way down to 138 sat. Watched a little while as they added a few large sells and I snatched over 100k!
