Hosting service offered

Cool. Cold you please elaborate a bit on the hosting facility?
Hi Martin,

A long time ago you announced hosting. I haven't seen any updates about it. The offer in the webshop seems incorrect, mentioning €10 setup costs and €3,50 all inclusive, excluding power cost.

If you're not too busy with more important stuff, can you tell me more about it ?
Maybe you can make an overview of cost of hosting 10 boards for 6 months, that will be sufficient.

announcement:
I won't be selling to end-users anymore.

:-((

I do understand and the reasons you are giving are very understandable.
I really like the Bitburners (disco show!) and I am looking forward to a similar stack of Furyburners :-) from you.

I can only hope that you will not give away the profit you so well deserve to your distributor(s).
Or end up with a greedy distributor...ruining your products.

Oh, and don't make the cut-off number of boards before ordering from a distributor too high, 25 is a nice minimum number to be ordered from you directly.

Cheesy  I misread & thought......what the hell is a "furryburner"  Huh Cheesy
He just likes the name I gave the coming boards Wink

Will the group for razingbull, zefir, sebastian, steamboat and a few of the others please acknowledge when they received the Full refund from Yifu please posts your comments here? When could we get these Full Refund?

They all seems to stay very quiet in here. When they need the group buy Wow they are highly Active promoting their group buy. But when time to get a refund most of them are very low key.

Have they received the refund from Yifu?
What is your problem eve ?

Zefir probably got the ball rolling with the refunds, read his thread.
Other GB starters have also said enough in their thread about it.

Go read! Instead of annoying people with your constant negativity.
585  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Poll] Burnins BitFury miner on: August 30, 2013, 05:31:58 AM
Interested in same size order as Bitburner XX boards. (I was in Zefir B1 and I have received the Bitburner XX's)
I also like the DIY approach, build a tower of 8 boards, hook it up, fiddle with the software.
It's fun!
And the disco show of the Bitburners boards, I want that back on the Furyburner boards!

Will someone help me power my BitBurner boards?

http://s22.postimg.org/wo95zzom9/SAM_1566_Copy.jpg

What cables should i use? Should i use 4 red VGA cables and 4 SATA cables? I only plan to power a single board per cable.

Thank you.

Edit: Also how do i power on my boards and PSU?
You should have a cable that goes into VGA1. On the other end is a plug that should go into a Bitburner board.
Same for VGA2, ...

All I can say is that I hope indeed I am wrong about BitFury and what I heard of their 1BTC price per chip
AFAIK, the 1BTC per chip is for sample chips. Still a very high price to pay, sample chips should be priced at a level that will stimulate people like Burnin to develop a board and order reals of chips. That's where the real profit is for Bitfury.

4 @ us$350= us$1400
1400/125 = 11.2BTC

590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 26, 2013, 09:58:04 AM
Am I missing something.. but doesn't 250 amps at like 5V draw 1250 Watts? You'll need huge PSU for their biggest miners that include like 4 of those ASICs, right? ...If one ASIC chip draws over 1kW..
The ASICs don't use 5V, more likely 1.0V or less. On their product presentation diagram, it's 0.9V. (News section on the website)
591  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Minepeon - Blockerupter discards all Shares on: August 22, 2013, 01:02:55 PM
Hi Guys

Got a raspi and a Blockeruptor.

Minepeon starts and shows that my erupter goes up to 333Mhz.
But on the mining/pool info i see that 0 shares are accepted...
All discarded.

Some Help?

have you changed the user id on the web page ?
AFAIK, it starts with the Minepeon creator user_id, until you change it to your information.
You are now probably donating to him for his creation.

594  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: August 20, 2013, 06:37:29 AM
these chips are for immediate delivery vs. october....but yes the price is still high, but that's the cost for development. it would be nice to get the price for october prices too. it's difficult to produce hardware without knowing what chip prices will be in the future. originally it was ~$25USD/chip (from the US store) for loose chips and $20/chip for counts of 3K.

one more thing...the card you buy from bfsb and megabig are downclocked to perform at 1.5GH/s. If you buy chips for your own hardware, you can potentially push them to 2.7-3.0 GH/s.
Ahh, ok, the pesky delivery moment difference...
595  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: August 20, 2013, 06:06:41 AM
I've added option for UPS Express Saver shipping, and dropped the prices a bit as further october orders will most likely ship in very late october.
There seems to be something odd with the chip price.
It currently is 1 BTC/chip, which equals around €85. A H-board containing 16 chips sells for €390. If I take €90 for the board excluding the chips, each chip should be around €300/16=€18.75, which equals around 0.22BTC ?!

Maybe you meant to say 1 BTC/5 chips ?

Tried the horizontal CAN-BUS ports, no change...
...
Try a canbus cable that only has as many connectors as you have boards.
597  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast launches sales of the Baby Jet on: August 15, 2013, 01:49:43 PM
Code:
public investors	         60% A
public investor dividend 40.5% A*C*(100-cost)/100

ok so buying/renting via icedrill will bring only 40.5% procent mined bitcoins...
Smiley
lol
I think what many don't realize, is that the public investor gets 40.5% of the whole operation(=100%),
while the public investor 'paid' for 60% of the whole operation.
That is, if the private investor paid the same for shares as the public investor did, and you can question that.

But suppose all shares were sold for the same amount:
Not 40.5% of your investment is 'returned', it's actually 40.5*100/60=67.5%

Please correct me if I am wrong!
598  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast launches sales of the Baby Jet on: August 15, 2013, 01:34:26 PM
Code:
public investors	         60% A
private investors         40% B

dividend                 75% C
reinvest                 25% D

The profit should then be split between:
Code:
running cost                     10.0%
public investor dividend 40.5% A*C*(100-cost)/100
private investor dividend        27.0% B*C*(100-cost)/100

reinvest                 22.5% D*(100-cost)/100
Sorry for being slow but I don't understand where do 40.5 and 27% come from!
Thanks in advance.
The formula I used is behind the resulting percentages !

40.5% : A*C*(100-cost)/100
The meaning of the letters is also there
A= 60% public investors
cost=running cost, 10%
599  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast launches sales of the Baby Jet on: August 15, 2013, 09:31:42 AM
Is it documented that the private investors pay 25% reinvestment ?
Good question!
Which I'll answer (correct me if I am wrong):

Quote from https://bitfunder.com/asset/IceDrill.ASIC:
So, for every 100 BitCoin that we mine (with the ENTIRE mine capacity going forward, not only 300Th), minus cost (say 10), we would distribute 67.5 to shareholders and keep 22.5 to expand the mining capacity of the mine.

So yes, every investor, private or public, will see 25% being reinvested.

What was missing in my calculation is the cost that is in the quote. I added the cost.
