Use escrow please.
582  Economy / Goods / Re: Wholesale Gold Nuggets on: December 20, 2014, 08:25:31 PM
Is this the deal I was PM'd about for escrow? If it is, I need to know some details like who will cover the 1% fee, what exchange rate will be used, etc. Thanks in advance.
583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New James Bond leaked script talks about Bitcoin. Is this real? on: December 19, 2014, 07:50:39 AM
Since when does James Bond talk like a fedora wearing Reddit neckbeard?

Your inbox is going to be flooded with newbies wanting you to send first. If you do that, you can kiss your money goodbye.
586  Other / Meta / Re: Forum 250 Btc theft, what's being done about it? Inside job? on: December 17, 2014, 05:38:54 PM
If Paraipan did indeed skip town with 250 BTC of the forums money, then it's an isolated incident that will probably not happen again. Theymos has since taken precautions for this sort scenario.
587  Other / Off-topic / Re: New Chuck Norris jokes :-) on: December 15, 2014, 04:36:27 PM
It seems some people aren't getting it. This thread is for NEW Chuck Norris jokes. (I was gonna say Chucky, but chickened out.) The one old one I posted earlier at least has a disclaimer stating as much.  Tongue

It seems that you are the one not getting it. These are Chuck Norris facts, not jokes Tongue
588  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need quick exchange of $1k in Paypal to BTC (I send first) on: December 15, 2014, 04:26:24 PM
If you sell to an account that's less than a year old, you can kiss your money goodbye. Please use escrow for this one. While it won't prevent YOU from charging back later, it will prevent a scammer from taking your PayPal and disappearing.
589  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need quick exchange of $1k in Paypal to BTC (I send first) on: December 15, 2014, 03:49:54 PM
There will be no shortage of newbies willing to take you up on your offer. Just check your inbox.
590  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: !!!SPLASHDASH SCAMMER METHOD/ALL INFO INCLUDED!!! on: December 15, 2014, 02:24:39 PM
I lost the claim as BTC is not a tangible item. Just my luck...
Call then back and explain that you were supposed to have received a .25 BTC physical coin.

Good thing you used escrow.
592  Other / Meta / Re: Questions for CanaryInTheMine on: December 14, 2014, 11:38:43 PM
I think some people are confusing the Trust list with a Trust feedback rating.

180 days.
594  Economy / Lending / Re: I'm looking for BTC loan -> Daily Pay! on: December 13, 2014, 09:17:06 PM
Why would you even pay back a 5 BTC loan? Wouldn't it be far easier for you to simply abandon that account and never log into it again? What's so special about that "Victori" account that you would pay back over $1500 USD just to keep its good name?
595  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BEWARE OF Raveldoni/SamTseudo on: December 13, 2014, 07:13:27 PM
Obviously we're chasing down multiple avenues of what all is wrong with Raveldoni's story. Either one as valid as the other, but if the original owner provided the private keys, then by all means I look forward to him signing the address.
596  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BEWARE OF Raveldoni/SamTseudo on: December 13, 2014, 06:37:27 PM
Why does it matter whether he is the original or bought an account? The issue was giving false trust to himself.

It would certainly disprove the accusation that Raveldoni is no longer the original owner of the account.
597  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BEWARE OF Raveldoni/SamTseudo on: December 13, 2014, 04:17:06 AM
I am not going to lie and tell that I do not know SamTsuedo - I have done business with him on several occasions. I have never had any issues, and all our transactions were flawless. When he contacted me to do him a favour and be an escrow for 0.2 BTC , I agreed to it.

Now just think about how insane would it be for me to try to steal 0.2 BTC from the known scammer, and compromise my whole past 2 years as a respected member of the community. Yes I made a mistake, I did not check who was the party in question, and agreed to be an escrow in order to return a favor to SamTsuedo because he offered me a couple of good deals recently (involving Amazon Gift Cards).

Ok, fair enough, but I find your story a bit odd. If you can digitally sign the following address (the one you used for a number of give-away threads when you first started posting a about a year ago), I'll remove your negative Trust and ask that others do the same:

13uW8z43KHPYHPLMCpHfDCMBi29gRTfBMp

However, if you cannot sign this address for whatever reason, the rating will remain.

You could just buy it via an escrower, unless I'm mistaken. There are free escrowers out there.

I highly advise against using PayPal for Bitcoin. When there are new users involved (ie. newer than 2 years or so), one of two scenarios will almost always play out:

1. The seller ends up taking your PayPal payment and stalling until he can cash out
2. The buyer receives the Bitcoins but then disputes the PayPal payment

The only real question is which one of you is the scammer.

Still waiting on Raveldoni's side of the story. Raveldoni?

Funny, a scammer reporting a scammer.

It takes one to know one.

No it doesn't.
