582  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] 20 Lancelots from Black Arrow on: June 15, 2013, 03:02:33 PM
It wasn't very smart to start this while my Cairnsmore auction is running.

The CM1 has 2x the Spartan 6's of your lancelots.  So 5 BTC each for them would be cheaper than your ask.

And right now the high bidder for the CM1's is 2 BTC.
583  Economy / Auctions / Re: 12 Cairnsmore CM1 4xLX150 FPGA on: June 15, 2013, 02:36:13 AM
can you, for the record, state the MH/s of each board and a total?
a screenshot(s) would be good.

800 MH/s is typical, +/-10%.  I'm not going to get into promising specific boards, so I won't go further than that.
584  Economy / Auctions / Re: 12 Cairnsmore CM1 4xLX150 FPGA on: June 14, 2013, 01:36:19 PM
There is no minimum, and I can ship anywhere.  Shipping costs are your responsibility and payable in advance.
585  Economy / Auctions / 12 Cairnsmore CM1 4xLX150 FPGA on: June 14, 2013, 12:19:12 PM
I am auctioning 12 Cairnsmore CM1 Quad Lx150 FPGA boards.  All boards are in good operating condition, programmed and ready to hash.  Buyers of 2 or more will receive enough stacking kits and up-down connectors to pair boards into 1 USB connection per 2 boards.  Power consumption is 45W / board, so these board will continue to be profitable for a long time.  Shipping costs and escrow fees are the buyers responsibility.  I will escrow with John K.

Auction Rules

Minimum bid increment is 0.05 BTC
This auction will end at 12:00 noon NYC time Monday June 17th.
If there is a bid within 30 minutes of the auction close, the auction is extended for 30 minutes
Bidding in the extension period is ONLY open to people with winning bids during the normal auction period.
586  Economy / Securities / Re: Buying Hardware vs Mining? on: June 07, 2013, 02:14:17 AM
The first step is to compare the share price to the hardware cost.  For the typical mining bond that will be the end of your calculations because the bonds are always outrageously overpriced.  I would research what happened to investors in mining bonds if you still think it's a good idea.  Eskimo bob has a good thread on it from last year. (Although technically he's wrong - they aren't mining turds, they are scat bonds.  :-) )

Asicminer is a different beast.  With both a virtual monopoly on ASICs that you can buy and receive in a timely manner and an enormous network share that their business plan calls for maintaining, it is hard to determine a present value for the company.

Over time you would expect them to lose their hardware monopoly and that will erode the dividend stream somewhat.  But they are unlikely to lose top spot on the network for a very long time.

At 1.5% weekly dividends, I am not a seller.  Overall, I think the shares are presently underpriced because many of the wise early investors are cashing out the princely gains they have made at this level.  If this dividend level outlives the profit takers, I would expect the equilibrium share price to head into the 3 Bitcoin range during the summer months.

AMC screams scam to me.  He has no skills to deliver what he claims, has set up a corporate structure with 2 different layers of scam in it, and publishes lies on a routine basis.  That doesn't mean you can't make a profit selling shares to a greater fool.  :-)
587  Economy / Securities / Re: Attention LTC-GLOBAL moderators and BMF/NYAN investors on: June 06, 2013, 06:35:02 AM
Sounds like he needs some help figuring out how to split the assets across separate accounts.  I'm willing to help with that if he asks for it.  All he'd need to do is say "hey, all this is currently under account A, I need it split out into accounts B, and C, like so: ... "

By splitting stuff out I mean shifting the issues themselves, such that he could clearly delineate asset ownership.

If I had everything under one account I'd lose my marbles... no wonder he has such a hard time with it.  Sad

Has usagi provided you with definitive proof of identity?  I remember when he first started his blitzkrieg of interlocking share offerings that he was pretending to be a Japanese girl, even going so far as to hold off on posting until daylight hours in Asia.

No, we don't require this of anyone.  It's pretty obvious though that the ones who do provide it end up with better mod scores.

It seems like a history of being intentionally misleading about your identity would be a dealbreaker.  Perhaps that kind of deception could be overlooked by full disclosure now, but without such disclosure I think you're just asking for trouble to allow him to list with you.

Yes the Chase Bank Manager recommended a Credit Union also.  FYI Dwolla's partner is Veridian Credit Union.

LOL wasn't Veridian the name of the mega-corp in that sitcom 'Better off Ted'?

Good luck with your venture.  If you execute well you could own a credit union in a year or 2.

I thought about buying out a payday loan place for access to the banking system.  But the karma of their business model... ICK!!
590  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bitfloor issues? on: June 06, 2013, 04:15:44 AM
Good luck with that.  Please report back
Here is the link to the FBI paper
http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/threatlevel/2012/05/Bitcoin-FBI.pdf
Just came back from a meeting with Chase Bank.  They would not open a new business account for any business dealing in any type of currency, digital or otherwise.  Too much pressure from the FED.
Interesting read.   Wonder who are the FBI agents that seem to hang out on this site?
Can you tell us a little more about your chase meeting?   Like the level of contact that told you this, and your background as a business customer of Chase?   Also, did you tell them you were going to be a MSB business?

It would seem that BFL is not having much problem keeping their account open and most of their payment processor problems seem to stem from the number of customer complaints.   Do you think that is because they are merely a vendor of machines?

You can be certain that the FBI, CIA, SEC and other three letter agencies all have at least interns browsing these pages.

Chase meeting was with a banker and a manager.  Neither of them had any idea about bitcoin.  But the did seem to be reacting to directives from the Treasure/FED/Bank Regulators that ANY currency business is problematic.    I told them we had registered with FinCEN as an MSB but that did not matter.  The risk profile for the business line was enough for them to nix it.

I'm not familiar with BLF's banking or payment processing problems.  But they are shipping a physical product and they are not in the currency business.

I would shop your plan around to local credit unions.  They have the same access to the clearing system as the wall street banks, and with persistence you can get access to decision makers.

The Avalons you priced at $6000 / GH/s?

Yes, their arrival will really change my opinion of your company.

Great. You, like everyone else, are entitled to your opinion. Now, calling everyone "sheep" and coming here like your opinion is the "truth" is a completely different story.

What would you call someone paying 10x market price for a product they will not have actual control of?

Again.  Look up how 'AmazingRando' built himself about 2% of the total network hashpower and then stiffed all his 'investors'.  Or review how GigaVPS fleeced his investors.

In principle, a mining company that reinvests to maintain market share is a good idea.  But that reinvestment flow should not be done using voting shares controlled by the issuer.

And continuous new share issuance to fund Ken's elves and unicorn plan is just going to dilute all you earnest early investors to nothing.  Well, to the extent that you aren't already diluted by Ken's free shares, and gift of rights to his holding company.

This gets even better an better.

Entropy-uc, please also post the similar legally binding information relative to ASICMINER, so we can compare it to AMC.

Many thanks! Kiss

perhaps you should research what happened to folks who invested in 'AmazingRando'

Maybe, you should wait, before you condemn us.  Why, don't you hold off until the Avalon's get here on Monday or a week from then when we start paying dividends.  No, you have to do it now, because you won't have a leg to stand on then.  You have to get you punch in now, then run away when the above happens.  I am sure you won't be posting after we start paying dividends.

I am sure it won't, but your opinion is not what counts.  What counts is the opinion Investors have of AMC.  That opinion that has been expresed is 2.5 Million shares being sold in about 24 hours, that what counts.

My sympathies to the rubes who paid 10x what Friedcat sells boards for to get access to the miniscule dividends that will remain after you pay all VMC's expenses with the Avalon revenue.

How many shares were you forced by Uyko to buy back after your pump and dump last weekend?

I don't run ASICMINER.  And Friedcat has already established that

-he is capable of designing and building a mining ASIC
-can run a mining operation on a vast scale
-keeps his promises

Ken has done none of those things.

What he has done, is:
Artificially pump up the price of AMC stock by buying and selling the shares himself
Posted numerous misleading press releases with completely bogus income forecasts
Set up a corporate structure inspired by the scammer Ian Bakewell that guarantees him permanent voting control

Did he do that at first, No.  It took some time before his ASIC was developed, then it took some more time before it was deployed, then it took some more time for him to scale up the operation.  Now, after all of that you can say that he keeps his promises.  However, you are here trolling and running down or operation without giving us a chance to prove ourselfs.  I guess you was doing that same thing to ASICMiner before he did all of the above, now you are on his side.

Wrong again.  Friedcat came on here with a very plausible and honest business proposition.  Go ahead and try to find a single criticism from me.

You on the other hand, are no more than Josh Jr. without the history of actually building FPGA devices.

Gifted ownership of the IP for equipment development paid for by AMC to himself for a small royalty

Just got back from renting 2600 square feet for our combined mining and manufacturing facility.  I already have "Team AMC" at BTCGuild.  I will check out which pools to use.

I think that's it's safe to say that this is and never was a pump and dump Smiley

Congratz on pulling through all the shit, ken. Glad I got in when I did.

Yep.  Each share will soon leap from owning the earnings from 0 GH/s to a stunning 5 kH/s (not typo there, that is kilohashes).  You could do better mining with your cell phone.

Meanwhile Ken is using your money to rent space to be used for VMC's manufacturing operations.  It still boggles my mind that the sheep buying this don't recognize that VMC is getting all the value from your investment because it will own the IP to all the equipment development paid for with AMC's revenues.

No, As I said before AMC owns all of the IP and gets paid about twice the normal royalty when VMC uses it.  I am providing the funds for VMC's manufacturing operations.  AMC is only providing the funds agreed to in its contract with VMC, which is posted at bitfunder.com.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manufacturing_cost

Great.  Please post the relevant contracts.  A block of text in a FAQ page on bitfunder isn't legally binding on anyone.

The contract which is signed a sealed by VMC and AMC is posted in the images on bitfunder.com.  You should try looking around and reading all of documents before you start trolling here.

That 'contract' lacks

- Any discussion of intellectual properties rights, or royalties completely contradicting your claims on here
- provides zero definition of 'cost' other than a retail cost in the appendix which is double the price of the Avalon chips
- discusses a 3rd party entity which isn't identified as to location, ownership or role 'SplendidCRM'
- is signed on behalf of both parties by yourself, likely making the entire document invalid due to the lack of arms length separation between the parties.

Specifies Wake County, North Carolina as the venue for any disputes.  Strange choice for a Delaware corporation doing business with a Vanatu (or is is Seychelles this week?) corporation supposedly run by a resident of Missouri.

First 3 Avalon's order # 1245 are on their way:

img]http://www.axs.net/AMC/Complete-1.png[/img]

Do we know that the asics have been shipped to the address on file? The screenshot above does not include a shipping address.

Usagi, You know that Avalon does not change any of the shipping addresses on the units.  The address the unit are to be ship to
has been posted online before.  Just a little of your FUD.

I notice that all the orders are held in the name of VMC, your wholly owned company.

Does AMC have written contracts defining their rights to the hardware on order?  Please post all such agreements.

I was keeping hope after the last update by Roman but I have now just signed the dept off in my mind.

I do know I will not touch anything Roman is running, it is clear he needs A.D.H.D meds and also really has no empathy for other people aka his customers.  If he really gave a rats ass about anyone but himself he would be posting daily updates of some sort.  This "can't talk about it" is bullsh*t, he could at least be vague about his due-diligence but instead he twitters all his other travels and events like nothing has happened.

He really should not be running squat from the updates on Bitcoin Musings it sounds like he is not passing information to his lawyer, another thing one would do if they actually felt bad about what happened.  It just sounds like he is a "coder" hippie.  One that like to code the stuff, be "in" and has absolutely no interest or care in everything else that actually matters when running a business.

This exactly. If I had known anything about Roman I would not have used BitFloor.

How could you have NOT known about the 25000 BTC he defaulted on last year?

I'm sure it sucks to be in the latest group of people to be ripped of by Roman, but you all did business with him knowing he had already screwed people for hundreds of thousands of dollars.  A good many of you jumped all over my ass for complaining about his continued operation while he was insolvent.

The reality is he never produced proof of the fall 2012 hack, just as he has not provided any proof that his accounts have been shut down.  For all you know Capital One closed his accounts because they were being overdrawn on a regular basis.
