101  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 13, 2014, 10:27:46 PM
Well I think at this point we will most likely not see anything as far as hardware goes and if we do it will be months before that happens.

still hopeful huh?

Not really, I was hopefull when amy was manning twitter and giving me updates via DM

Why were you hopeful then?  The documents that are public so far suggests they had given up on delivering systems and were trying to get everyone to swap for chips by then.
102  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: ==== Eligius, please pay my 200+ BTC ==== on: June 13, 2014, 08:53:53 PM
Brucexie,

Please pay me the 100 BTC I was cheated out of while mining at BTCGuild due to your 'defective' equipment.
1NGEBWTYndRkxTLVBuMcvJg2hJ3oURhdy8

After payment is received, I will be happy to support your claims against Eligius.

103  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 12, 2014, 12:12:08 AM
Where is the creditor matrix? I would like to look at it to see if I am on it

I got it by email. Not sure if I can make it publicly available. Will check.

HR:  It's a public document so it's fine to share it.

Our review finds it full of errors so it would be good to make it available.
104  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: I want to buy ancient FPGA Icarus boards on: June 09, 2014, 06:06:21 PM
I still have some (very dusty) quad cairnsmore boards.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Bankruptcy Court: Hashfast, llc List of Equity Security Holders on: June 09, 2014, 05:57:59 PM
You ought to dig into the creditor list as well...
106  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra Terraminer Half Speed PSU/Board problem?? on: June 09, 2014, 05:48:56 PM
It's strange that the good board has the +12V line on the outside, but the bad board has the +12V on the inside.

Assembly error?
107  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 08, 2014, 02:39:55 PM
Anyone know how to properly file objection to the limited service of notice order motion?
This is the court's website: http://www.canb.uscourts.gov/

Can I sent the objection by email, or only by postal mail?

Also, is anyone already in possession of the list of creditors, other than the 20 largest creditors, HashFast has to provide?
How can I make sure I will be on that list?

Thanks.

The full list of creditors is due 14 days from their ch. 11 filing, if they don't get an extension.

You might try phoning the court clerk on Monday to see about how to file an objection.  It would be good if you could post a standard letter for the affected folks.
108  Other / Meta / Re: Can we make posting 3-10x in a row illegal please? on: June 08, 2014, 04:49:57 AM
That's a great idea.

While we are at it let's ban spamming multiple threads with 'update' notifications to your useless manufacturer ratings.
109  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 07, 2014, 05:55:16 PM
If you aren't in that list and are owed a non-trivial amount of money, you should file an objection with the court before you are completely out of the information loop.
You can still retrive it from pacer or alternatives:
https://www.inforuptcy.com/casefolder/case?room_nid=215756

I've already paid for most of the documents that are not on archive.org so you can see almost everything for free.

It would probably be helpful to everyone not directly involved if you created a bankruptcy section on Hashfast.org and linked all the documents there.  We can help by forwarding the ones we receive.
110  Economy / Securities / Re: List of fraudulent compaines and corporate failures on: June 07, 2014, 03:57:07 PM
Use the search feature.

Someone made a list of active stocks and their market caps about a year ago.  Run through the list and you will find that the operators of nearly all of them defaulted and ran with the money in some fashion.  Then go back and find all the listings for GLBSE from the year before that, again you'll find that 95% wiped out their 'investors'.

Then you can search for mining bonds; basically every operator of mining bonds defaults at some stage.

After you are done your research, you might as well fold up your exchange as you will realize that all you are doing is enabling fraud.

A list of active stocks doesn't always mean fraud or mis management.

Since those 'active' stocks are all gone now, it means exactly that.  A small handful of them refunded investors, a couple are still in the process of bleeding their investors dry.  The rest wiped out their bagholders.
111  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [VMC] Official Virtual Mining Corporation Discussion on: June 07, 2014, 03:50:18 PM
This company's rating has changed in the Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide.

Oh, E+! Better than CoinTerra, HashFast and BFL.

There's still hope.

/s

That's not hope.  It's just evidence of how worthless Dogie and his guides are.

Here's a simple buyers guide. Do not buy from anyone who doesn't ship the day you order.  Price / Gh/s is way too high for the risk and difficulty so orders for equipment are drying up.  Any companies relying on customer money to supply their working capital are likely to go bankrupt if the BTC exchange rate doesn't surge in the next 60 days.

Hashfast has a motion to limit notifications to it's creditor list (which seems to be 1/2 friends of Hashfast) and the folks who filed the bankruptcy petition.

If you aren't in that list and are owed a non-trivial amount of money, you should file an objection with the court before you are completely out of the information loop.
114  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 07, 2014, 01:36:54 AM

You have a good point, there is a place for government in enforcing contracts but at the same time think about how many startups fail all the time in Silicon Valley, they lie and string their investors along all the time too. They even brag about it and the government does nothing. Maybe we should have insisted on personal contracts with Ken before investing with a plan for the company failure if it occurred. People were too optimistic when reading the prospectus and we never gave the shareholders an out in the prospectus that Ken would have had to adhere to.

http://www.wired.com/2014/04/no-exit/
Chris convened their meeting by saying, “We have 10 companies waiting to work with us, and we’re about to close a round of funding.” These statements weren’t strictly true, but one couldn’t hire engineers without projecting a sunlit-uplands future. As Chris had put it to me, “Lying your way along puts you in a bad place. But you do have to balance transparency with optimism.”

This sounds a lot like some of Ken's false claims.

I just think that if you are using Bitcoins the first move when things might not look good should not be to seek out government assistance to save your cash. You should work with the person you invested with to make the situation better. Ken really did bring this upon himself since many people here are novice investors and likely committed too much capital to this enterprise and when shares were not tradable for > 5 months I can understand getting the MSD involved but it really feels like shooting yourself in the foot to recover a minimal amount of your investment back by killing any chance the company could succeed. It wasn't big but it still existed. Now that has even been lessened to be an almost non existent chance.

You might be comfortable with a society where the wealthy owe their success to being liars, fraudsters and sociopaths, but I don't want to live in that world.
115  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 06, 2014, 01:58:57 AM

Please tell me what you just said invalidated everything i wrote, yeah... burn in a fire dumbass

You seem to be awfully butthurt over the bankruptcy, which is strange because every customer who has talked to me has been happy with what was done.

You claim to have a lawyer, but you haven't been in the creditor conference calls.  Why don't you man up and join the adults in trying to recover what we can from this scam?

Unless you're just Eduardo using another sock puppet.
116  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 05, 2014, 08:59:18 PM
You become a creditor. sucks.

You become an unsecured creditor so you will be at the very end of the line.

Your chance to recover anything meaningful will be next to 0.

Sucks.

It's doubtful at this point that there are any secured creditors.  There is also a spectacular number of bitcoins collected by Hashfast that blockchain analysis suggests are still controlled by Hashfast or related parties that could be recovered by the bankruptcy trustee.  We are optimistic at this point.
117  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 04, 2014, 08:14:35 PM
Just to confirm, so they are going into chapter 11 which basically means what?

It means they are trying to reorganize and continue the business as an ongoing enterprise.  They need to file a plan on how they would do so, and how they would fund themselves in the interim.  We were expecting to see that yesterday but they seem to have failed to file anything of substance.
118  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Drawingthesun's Thread. Only Known/Useful Information on: June 04, 2014, 08:09:31 PM
Since the MSD has halted investment activity, I will revive this thread.

MSD Cease and Desist Order

I feel like this thread could now be used to gather any evidence against Ken that we can. Cross-posting this question below:

I am certain Ken has made hundreds of thousands through salary or even millions from our money.

Does anyone know the original IPO fund addresses? We need to try tagging all outputs....

To what end?  You realize the shares are selling substantially lower than the nickel/share Ken is allegedly obligated to pay out?  That's because folks understand they won't be seeing any refunds.  So what would knowing that Ken sent me, let's say, 50BTC do for you, other than make you feel more frustrated?

If we can find outputs that are likely his hidden income addresses, we might be able to persuade the courts (if any action happens) that Ken is hiding money. Then he can either obey a potential order to release the funds go to jail.

I also created the following 'index' of ActiveMining threads to aid in the sleuthing that is to follow:

Quite a list, far, far more than I remembered.  Topic spamming has to be a new scam indicator.
119  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Terraminer IV - drops to 50% hashing after 24 - 30 hours... on: June 04, 2014, 05:55:47 PM
waldohoover - so are you saying that a remote reboot will get the TM back up and running at full hashing rate and that I don't need to physically unplu and replug in the PSU's?

Basically.  I am not going to speculate here but it is not "hacked".   Power stepping does work.  I have a hosting business and many of these units.  I have seen 4 different issues with these units that have similar symptoms.

In what way does power stepping work?  Can you get better performance from problem machines by stepping down the power setting?  Details would be appreciated.
120  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: June 04, 2014, 04:56:44 PM

You can thank digimex and liquidbits for that hashfast bankruptcy,  your "actions" were useless and all you did was waste money.

If you're going to try to talk shit you should start by knowing what you are talking about.

I, and 4 other creditors put Hashfast into involuntary bankruptcy, an action that Hashfast accepted yesterday.  Liquidbits and Digimex had nothing to do with it.  In fact, both of those parties didn't have any standing to take the action we did because the amounts owed to them are in dispute.

Liquidbits piggybacked on our filing to attempt to have a trustee take control of Hashfast but that motion was denied.  Digimex hasn't been active in the bankruptcy proceedings so far, although I know they are weighing their options.
