581  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra now accepts Credit Card and Paypal !!! on: September 26, 2013, 02:38:19 AM
Bitfury found a credit card processor that will work with bitcoin companies. Doesn't appear PayPal wants to any longer though.

No coin value can survive indefinitely based on speculators alone. Eventually the coin needs some practical purpose/use/adoption to have lasting value (in the sense of fiat value).

To identify your payment, please send from the address you registered for shipping. If your client does not support sending from a specific address, pleas PM me with your payment details to assign it correctly.

Does the default bitcoin wallet support that?

That's why the only MMORPG I play when I get the itch is Guild Wars 2.

Yes the latest TRC client mirrors BTC's own adjustment algorithm. So it changes every 2160 blocks. There is a max change cap of x4 or /4, so what happened last change was it went down to /4 because of the long time it had been too slow. Then everyone piled in since TRC was so much more profitable than BTC. Forcing it back up by 4x.

As-is, TRC probably won't sort itself out using this algorithm until sometime after BTC's difficulty increase pushes TRC profitability up even at the higher difficulty level. If it does raise to 400K, then it should eventually settle around the point the profitability is similar to BTC's.

A shorter retarget window (with smaller max changes) is probably called for.
591  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces <$3/GH January pricing and new product availability on: September 12, 2013, 05:20:38 PM
How much power does this new miner use?
592  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: September 12, 2013, 05:18:50 PM
What does "Networked Miner" mean?

An external computer isn't needed to connect the miner to. It runs a web server for configuration/etc and you just plug it into your network.

I'm a batch 3 person and just waiting it out. S&H shouldn't be paid in advance right? I will certainly pay whatever I'm supposed to for S&H once needed. Thanks.
594  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: September 01, 2013, 02:30:31 PM

Most people who have chip orders are much more understanding to the situation, whom are either taking refunds, or working out some sort of compensation model.

What situation to understand? You promised 10 weeks delivery and you failed. There is no situation. You sent zefir's batch 2 of chips (batch 1 and 2 were ordered the same day!) a few weeks after first batch. There is simply no excuse for that.

Yeah it's so weird. I was in batch 3 which hasn't arrived yet. All of zefir's batches (8? 10?) were ordered within about a one week window. So we figured they'd all be delivered in about a one week window. Not that the two orders arrive and then no other orders ever arrive. It's just bizarre.

How are people planning to power their rPI?  is there an easy way to use the ATX PSU or are people going to run off a wall wart?

I power mine off a powered usb hub.
596  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: August 29, 2013, 04:06:10 PM
Someone who wants to resell unwanted Avalon chips should just ship them all to burnin and sell them to bitburner purchasers who didn't get their chips delivered yet.

Why is the date inverted there? What if they argued in court that meant March 12, 2014, lol.

Isn't that the European style of dates?
