5801  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russian Government Passes Draft Bill on Bitcoin Taxation on: March 13, 2021, 06:40:38 PM
You are joking?
You can have cryptocurrency in Russia
Next is the funniest thing: you cannot sell this cryptocurrency (these operations are allowed only through accredited organizations that do not exist yet)
You cannot pay for goods and services with cryptocurrency
You cannot advertise cryptocurrencies and cryptocurrency projects.
That is, access to work with cryptocurrencies is planned through accredited intermediaries
WTF
Under such conditions, the cryptocurrency market will remain in the shadow zone.

Compared to what we have in India, I would prefer the option given by the Russian lawmakers at any point of time. Obviously their legislation is not perfect as what they have in Japan or South Korea. But at least the trade and ownership of cryptocurrency is not a criminal offense (here in India we are facing a real possibility of the authorities making ownership of Bitcoin a criminal offense). Be happy with what you got. Because people like me are in much worse position right now.
Why did you decide that the Russians are unhappy?
A lot of things are prohibited in Russia, but if you need it, then you can make an inquiry on the Internet and buy it.
Therefore, no matter what the legislation on cryptocurrencies in Russia will be, the shadow market will work.

The lack of adequate legislation or a complete ban will lead to a technological lag behind other countries.
This is something to worry about.

Hey zasad@ !

How are you ?

I just discovered your thread and I must say you have well anticipated this wave of nft which has just hit the planet Wink

By the way, did you know that the person who bought Beeple's nft for $ 69m went through the Bitcointalk forum a few years ago? He talks about it in this interview: https://youtu.be/_2Atnp4A6zI?t=416.

I do not invest in art, but I am interested in projects that deal with NTF tokens.
There are now layer 2 solutions on Ethereum that make it very cheap to create NTF tokens, and most modern blockchains want to support NTF tokens.
But I still don't understand what people think when they buy an NTF token for $ 69 million.

Binance Smart Chain (BSC)
https://bscscan.com/validators#
These are validators, there are 21 of them (active)
To become a waldator, you need to collect votes for 58 million dollars in the BNB or buy them. Who owns the Binance Smart Chain (BSC)?
The best option is not to deal with similar coins.
5806  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why 21 Million? Why that number? on: March 12, 2021, 08:41:37 PM
This is the most reasonable explanation at the moment.
https://twitter.com/ArcaChemist/status/1167543733245472768
Sasha Fleyshman(С)

"This is offset by what is called a "Difficulty Adjustment", where the 'hash'(random generated number) that is required to solve the block is adjusted - this occurs every 2016 blocks (14 days). So, for all related purposes, 6 blocks/hour is a safe metric to use.

By multiplying that number to expand it to blocks/year, then blocks/cycle (a block cycle is the time between block halvings, where the reward for mining a block is cut in half). That is where the ~210,000 number comes from.

Next, they ran a summation notation of the block rewards approaching zero, as shown by the second image in the above graphic. That number comes out to be 100.

By multiplying 210,000 by 100, you arrive at 21,000,000 BTC - so that hard-capped supply number is just a math based output of the amount of blocks mined multiplied by the rewards for mining each block over time as rewards approach zero.

Now, pulling on this string opens up a new line of questioning, of which I have no answer (as of yet); just theories.

I think it is very important to question what you do not understand with #Bitcoin - the answer is not as important as the thought process."

You are greatly mistaken. Even if the miners do not agree, then the smaller chain has no chance.

I think that maybe you are more mistaken than me.
Did you see that greedy ethereum miners are working together to plot against EIP-1559?
https://cointelegraph.com/news/ethereum-miners-plot-hash-power-show-of-force-against-eip-1559
I think miners are much smarter than twetter big talkers.
If the miners manage to carry out a 51% attack, then they will lose money, and no one will take their losses.
Perhaps the best compromise would be the inclusion of eip-3238 (Difficulty Bomb Delay to Summer 2022) in the London hard fork

I'm probably guessing that the Binance "DEX"[1] is the biggest? But yea, they're mostly more of non-custodial than "decentralized", because they're definitely not decentralized. "DEX" is unfortunately more of a marketing term. No KYC as far as I know though.

Following up next down the list, I'm pretty sure Uniswap[2] is the second biggest. Obviously, no BTC because everything will be ERC20 tokens, and take note that the gas fees on ETH are tremendous.

Sorry for the newbie question but I cant seem to see Binance Dex in the list below:

Can I trade erc20 tokens on the Binance chain to save on fees? Is there like a emulation or hybrid or virtual machine service for eth erc20 token on binance smart chain to save on gas fees or the only way in the future is Eth tokens/erc20 projects convert their coins/projects to native binance smart chain tokens if somehow Eth 2.0 launch is screwed up or delayed?

Wrapped bitcoin is erc20 bitcoin right?

You carry out any interactions with the binance blockchain through this bridge.

For me personally, Binance Chain is the same Binance, only without the KYC.
There are big problems with decentralization, but in terms of speed and commissions, it is better than Ethereum.

Lets say for example bitcoin hits 100k and I have 1 whole bitcoin to sell in a decentralize way.

How much would the gas fee be when I tokenize convert that 100k bitcoin, will the gas fee be high like 10k or something?

After tokenized conversion or wrapping up that 1 btc, then I have to pay gas fees again on the decentralize exchange if I sell it for stable coins? So how much much approx I will lose in fees when selling a 100k btc in a time when Eth network is busy?

Is there a video guide on how to do this on the BSC for cheap fees? Has there been known cases of BSC freezing your crypto because you say BSC is same as normal centralized Binance except KYC meaning BSC is not really decentralized right?

Lastly how does your way compared to Bisq, is it better, more liquidity and cheaper?

Is there a tokenized BSC bitcoin?

I don’t know if Coinbase can do it, but maybe they know someone who can do it.

https://cryptobriefing.com/ethereum-developers-prioritize-eth-2-merge/
Key Takeaways
On Reddit, an Ethereum community member suggested that a merge between Ethereum 1.0 and 2.0 should be prioritized.
That means the merge could be prioritized over sharding.
Two leading Ethereum developers, Danny Ryan and Vitalik Buterin, have agreed with that suggestion.

Do you agree with their price prediction of $4k this coming April? That will be this coming month already. Though it is possible to happen but we should need some improvements in the eth network before that price will happen in the market. And if that will happen, then we can talk about this upcoming July price prediction. Right now, I will wait this coming month and let us see how eth market will perform  because of this berlin hard fork.
I believe that Ethereum is undervalued and the number of coins will decrease in the future. To be honest, it's not so important to me when Ethereum will cost $ 4,000, but this year I think it has a chance if the market is bullish.
Once the total supply of Ethereum is capped in Phase 2, this coin will become more valuable.
This is not investment advice and I want to remind you that investing in cryptocurrencies is a very risky business.

Crypto mining future looks uncertainty right now because ethereum is the best in this part as we know it, EIP1559 is coming and we still don't know what impact this will have on miners, the London upgrade is said to reduce miners reward down to 30% or even 40% so miners have three more months, my advice is do not build any gpu mining rigs for ethereum mining purpose anymore because 90 days of ROI is impossible right now
I cannot give you advice on mining, but if we talk about EIP1559, but your data about 30-40% in my opinion is exaggerated.
There is 1 more problem - difficulty bomb Jul 10 2021

And I do not see her solution in the London hard fork project.

Congratulations on your good result. There are not many people on this forum who have earned about a thousand merit in 1 year. Don't dwell on merit, try to have 2,000 merit in a year.
All haters say that forums are dying, but it's very good that new users appear on the forum, who can achieve high results in a year.
Good luck.
