5821  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-24] US opens investigation into Bitcoin price manipulation on: May 24, 2018, 10:33:03 PM
Now if they do find some anomaly where the exchange itself is creating fake bids that really don't exist then that it a different thing

Exchanges haven't been shy of doing that in the past. It will likely occur less nowadays with regulators pushing forward, but I'm sure that there still is some interesting and shady activity happening on OKCoin and Huobi. It's quite strange how these exchanges have managed to recoup their dominance that easily. It's either them creating a whole load of fake volumes, or they have granted various parties free trading in return for volumes and liquidity. It's just impossible for them to grow that fast after how their operations have been suffering badly from the harsh Chinese regulations. If things look too good to be true, then they mostly are....
Now regulators are pushing forward on such implementation then they would really lessen out their shady activities and im not quite surprised that some exchangers are doing shady stuff since the very beginning but we cant do anything about it but to deal with it since they do have the full control and sadly for traders is mainly affected. We can really make strong presumptions because basing on previous situation and would reallyt have question on mind where those volumes came from.
5822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you find hidden GEMS? on: May 24, 2018, 09:18:52 PM
HI.

any ideas to find hidden gems?
how are u procession.
what are you looking for?
what makes you sure that you are now having a good coin?
(i know the basic thinks,... like diversification, moneymanagement and so on)

would be nice to know how the communety is working

The basics of looking for a profitable crypto coin is understanding the factors that affect its value as well as its status in the digital market. Moreover, you must give a look at its past plus present performance and then understand the predictions of its future value. That time is now gone when coins were a mystery and people had to recognize hide gems. Now, everything is crystal clear and everyone knows the potential crypto assets.
Not only just into that factor but also findingg gems becomes too difficult because of the numbers of coins in the market as of now where we cant easily able to point out which one and we do have high chance on skipping coins which supposed to studied on because of the numbers and this is why success rate on finding gem coins is less. Basing out between its past and present developments would really be a good basis where you can able to make your own presumptions and predictions.
5823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling Versus Traditional Gambling on: May 24, 2018, 08:05:03 PM
What are the differences between online and traditional gambling ? Which you like the most and why ? In my opinion both the types of gambling have got their own advantages and disadvantages. You can try both for some time and then choose one based on your convenience.
In online gambling we will miss the fun part that is why the gambling was designed for but we are the only people engaging with random people in online gambling so less chance for getting fun.But in traditional gambling we can make many friends and it gives better refreshment than playing in online. But I think more people intention from gambling is money making and when we playing in online gambling we can play conveniently all the games at one place which saves time for us.
For a person like me, who is not fond of gambling, it really does not matter where a person is playing this game because he is involved in stupid act any way. Online casinos have its own pros and cons and same stands good for land based casinos too. It really depends on the taste and nature of gambler which environments suits him and appeals him. For some people, traditional casinos can be over-crowded and noisy place.
traditional casinos can be over-crowded and noisy place. This is one of the common reason on some gamblers why they do stick on playing into those places which they do love the noisy background or ambiance together with some girls beside them which you cant able to experience when you do play on your front of your pc but on my side since i cant able to play to casinos due to the fact that its really an expensive place to play id better to opt out or no choice to play on crypto gambling where bankroll is always adjustable depending on your financial capacity. You cant enjoy playing without spending too much money.
5824  Economy / Securities / Re: trusted btc invest site?? on: May 24, 2018, 07:37:10 PM
I have a feeling we can never be sure of any of platform exchange. Did you hear what has happened with polish one? Abucoins? For me the best and most reliable choice would be https://coindeal.com/ . It`s still a new exchange platform but I see the future in this project
You just bumped out this old topic just to endorsed this new exchange. Please do check first because bumping old threads isnt allowed into this place.

Using btc to invest in websites that generate you roi isn't a good idea. People refer to those sites as HYIP's, mostly all of them are scams, so be careful.
Anything offer that is too good to be true will always have the tendecy to be a scam site.Nothing on this online world would give out easy profits or income into its investors. Always keep an eye and stay away with these kind of sites if you dont like to lose up money. There are lots of choices though when it comes to potential income, might not be big but sustainable for longer runs like trading.
5825  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase preparing for monster increase in trading on: May 24, 2018, 07:12:25 PM
However I'm sure all of that flies out the window if there's some money in it for them. Their Bcash launch was very underhand and mysteriously eager too.

The big boys behind Ripple own more than 25% of the total coin supply, which accounts for +25 billion Ripple's. I'm sure a fraction of that can make Coinbase still list it.

I can't blame Coinbase if they end up doing it eventually, it's a business so it has to please itself and the shareholders, and Ripple has the wealthiest backers in the market.

The good old times where Bitcoin and Litecoin were the main pairs are over, but it shows progress in this entire industry. I'm happy how things move forward. I just hope that the competition doesn't just keep staring at how Coinbase constantly pushes itself to the next level. The larger it grows, the more centralized this market becomes, and thus the more MtGox's scenario (in crash terms) is becoming part of the picture again in case something goes horribly wrong.
I dont believe that Mtgox scenario would happen this time or the thing you say about crashing but its possible but on really slim chances. When we do becomes centralized then expect it would really be hard to insert in those failures. I didnt expect that Coinbase would able to come to the point on where it was heading but same as you said we are happy how things move forward yet confidence is building up and might be an eye opener when it comes to adaptation.
5826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas casino workers may strike for first time in decades on: May 23, 2018, 11:23:12 PM
Quote
Thousands of unionized hotel and casino workers in Las Vegas are ready to go on strike for the first time in more than three decades.

About 25,000 members of the Culinary Union voted Tuesday to authorize a citywide strike in Las Vegas unless they reach a contract deal with their employers by June 1, union spokeswoman Bethany Khan said.
The contracts of 50,000 workers, including bartenders, guest room attendants, cocktail servers, porters and cooks at 34 casino resorts on the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Las Vegas are set to expire May 31.

https://edition.cnn.com/2018/05/23/us/vegas-casino-workers-strike/index.html

Is this a good news for online gambling? If Las Vegas casino workers are going for a strike, gamblers around the world will only have few options to go and I think most of them will shift to online gambling that might have a good impact on the market price.

Possible option that might be done by those gamblers but we do know strikes might end up resolved or unresolved but mostly it is resolved and would go back into their normal lives.Imagine thats the first time after 3 decades and we cant still make sure if those players would switch to online or just find another land based casinos nearby.I dont see too much effect on online gambling.
5827  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips on making a more precise and accurate Technical Analysis please. on: May 23, 2018, 10:40:27 PM
I am still a newbie trader and my primary concern is that I am still not a pro in making Technical Analysis and I end up usually with no profit or with slight loss because my TA is wrong. Any tips? Thank you in advance!
Precise and accurate technical analysis wont really exist into this very volatile market of crypto yet theres are just only tools which are being used to indicate the support and resistance of prices of a particular coin and inputting those indicators arent really too hard or do require high-trading skills. If you do like to learn more about the basics there are lots of educational videos about TA's on youtube and in the past this is one of the things i done when im searching up basic trading with technical and it do helps but expect loses are inevitable thing because technical aspects wont really work anytime with cryptocoins.
5828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2018-05-23]Altcoin Verge Hacked For Second Time In Two Months, Around $1.4 Mln on: May 23, 2018, 10:10:44 PM
It is already clear that it is a terrible project. The fact that it is so well valued only shows that the market is completely irrational. I hope this token does the same Bitconect path. Which is moving toward zero.

Well it they didn't scale and update their code then consider them dead in the next couple of months. XVG has been enjoying a good run until the hacks started and investors losing their faith on the coin, and when they are about to gain steam the hackers attack again.

Maybe the devs doesn't care of that the hackers are really that good to found another exploit that causes another attack in two months. I don't have investment in XVG, but for those holders, this is another big blow and will cause headaches to the already struggling market and worsening situation.
Not only headaches but possibly would be the cause of suicide specially for those who invested big time with this coin because of the hype. They would really heading into that way on where bitconnect now. This vulnerability shows their team is incompetent and not capable on handling things out. 2nd time hacked do signifies that this project wont really have any future.Dont know whats the reason why people do put up money on this one.
5829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 23, 2018, 09:43:45 PM
And the series is Even now, what an exciting series this year, both the East and West have 2-2 record, if this will both go to game 7
I think the league will be making a lot of money. People say this game was fixed, they maybe true but if you are a gambler, just bet on the right side.

Those who said that games are rigged are clearly don't watch about basketball games.

Yes there is a missed call, wrong calls or whatever but the way players played, it's hard to imagined that it's all scripted. Just look at efforts of those players involved just to get a win. Physical actions clearly can be seen at every game and if the game is rigged, it will harmed the reputation of the league.

We can't say that the league is pushing all games for a Game 7 just because all games at both conference are now even.

I agree. It is hard to see a scripted game. It is all hard work and maybe there are too much fans of GSW that makes this kind of gossips.
Houston wins and that's it.
There is still game 5, 6 and 7. If they are just really making money then they should have also done it with 1st round and 2nd round but they did not. There is a sweep and a 4-1.
GSW is really hot in the 3rd but afterwards they got so calm and didn't see that Houston is already chipping the lead away. That is being careless and if you will see the last minutes of the fourth quarter the rotation became wack and I could not even see a good play from the GSW.

Yes that was a clear win by Houston Rockets, no rigged, no fixed matches or whatever. Golden State Warriors dominates the early phase and even I think that it will be a 3-1 lead by them because Rockets are having a poor rotation and missed shots. With a poor start like that and playing infront of the loudest crowd in the league, it's difficult to get back on the game but Rockets able to have a good run before 2nd half and even got the lead. Their efforts clearly crashed the momentum of Golden State Warriors.

But after that, Warriors back again at their offensive phase and they outscored Rockets by 34 points over 17. That was a big comeback but again Rockets slowly catch up on the fourth and the rest is history. Rockets now stopped the record of Warriors for being dominated in their homecourt for 16 consecutive playoff games.

There are rumors that Klay Thompson might not played on Game 5 but it's just a rumor. Don't want this to happened because I want both teams are healthy so the actions will be more intense.
Cant see a thing why there are people do say that these games are rigged? The way on how players do play you would able to see that it is not scripted. Results isnt really deniable because as a basketball fan you can see on your own eyes on how the game progresses and each teams performance. You can really make a jurisdiction on your own until the game ends.At first i do expect for warriors to win that game but the ball is always round where there are really things that we least expected to happen and Rockets did able to turn around the situation inspite on having a hard start.
5830  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashflare BTC estimates/payout values WRONG on: May 23, 2018, 09:20:26 PM
Anyone ever tried to convince Hashflare, that their BTC (both SHA256 and Scrypt) calculations are misleading - not to say fraud - they really think that showing payout and estimate calculations including the maintenance fee is correct :-( Had several discussion with them, but all support workers seem to be dumb. So be carefull when reading the numbers - you always have  to MANUALLY subtract the maintenance fee from daily payout and estimate earnings !! Would be an easy task for Hashflare to do that automatically, but for clear reasons they are not willing to understand the mistake. Higher numbers definitely look better, but actually they are not that high !!!

The world is round... What else is new?

I personally wouldn't be surprised.. This company is running one of the biggest hyips as of right now, hiding/not subtracting some maintenance/transaction fees seems like something you could expect them to do without any remorse.
Especially if you look into what they pulled off in the past.. Canceling lifetime contracts etc. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2138012.0
When the time that they do already pull out that lifetime contract i do already treat it as an another HYIP site and as an investor if you got caught into the new system then expect you wont really be profitable no matter which side you would try to check out and talking about maintenance fee if you are able to see things that arent right, if you complain you cant change anything therefore you would really end up on get frustrated because as an investor you dont have the right to dictate them what are the thing that they gonna suppose to do.

What the f*ck did i just read? About their feature. A coin which do save up the user from going to hell? What a unique and bullshit, complete non-sense it do have. Even just on the coin name you would able to find out that this aint serious.
What makes an ICO shady? When you dont see any transparency in them, in terms of their dev team.I do always prefer on checking out the team with credible, good standing, experienced when it comes to blockchain tech.
5832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gdax Vs Bittrex on: May 22, 2018, 10:23:34 PM
Which of these two is the best exchange?

I consider bittrex only for one reason and that is the volume that gets driven into the exchange. Its huge so you dont have to wait for your order get executed at all times. You just place the bid and mostly it gets filled as someone will always be there to buy or sell at the same rate as you are making the trade. So that is why first preference to the Bittrex only. However recently I have started using the Binance also, just adding up that as it is getting even better than these two exchanges so if you wanna get started with the crypto then thats the best place to get started with.
When it comes to volume no doubt Bittrex would really have the edge on here and when it comes into number of altcoins then Bittrex do have it unlike GDAX which is somehow limited and as being said it is similar to coinbase where do involve with Fiat trading. They do have eventually had their own purposes.
I have only one account in bittrex.
I dont know whats your actual point on here. So what now if you do only have account in bittrex? You are not totally answering on the things being asked on OP.

When you said of pyramids then what my first thought was the ponzi scheme, I think it is not similar to that but it will have some tendency to that road. But lets talk about this lotto regard saying that it is some scheme. What I would like to know is about the share profit here because there is no way you will share this equally to many investors here. You must have some portion depends on the amount

Btw I can't click on anything on your site though. I opened it using my mobile and it is on chrome
Same here, i cant access the site using up my own mobile phone with chrome browser seems like op do really need to look in this matter too even lottery games isnt too much on demand but its better to fixed everything and can be accessible either on pc or on mobile.

I dont see it would turn out to be a ponzi yet when it comes to investor side i do see compounding profits when you do tend to reinvest your divedend.

also unicorns don't actually exist. 🦄"
Darn. My life is a lie...
Total nonsense.
5834  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are You Afraid of KYC? on: May 22, 2018, 08:43:54 PM
This becomes a real problem for me. Why should they be interested in my personal data at all? And what if I have many accounts?
Purpose of KYC is to fight off possible frauds and money laundering cases and talking into company's side it will get rid of those people who do have lots of accounts like you. Cool If you do presevered to have many accounts then you would really experience the hard time on making verification and im wondering where you would get those informations you would use? Dont tell me you would either buy or use others identity.I bet you wont really that thing to happen where personal informations do leak out.
5835  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are the alternatives for Bitcointalk? on: May 22, 2018, 08:05:30 PM
There is alternative. Called blockchain forum  https://www.blcx.org

I have lost 2 accounts already and admin do not even bother to respond to emails. Even this account got negative rating for complaining about a merit points. Some thinks they earn more trust by reporting other users
You deserve it man! Each forum has its own rules therefore you should really be responsible on reading up first if you dont like to suffer consequences and now you are suggesting another forum with dont have even post being made on there. I dont see any alternatives or any other forum that would be match up with this one, bitcointalk has it all. If there are some forums exist then it wont really be as good with this thats why lots of people will always prefer this place.
5836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits of gambling? Yes - it exists! on: May 22, 2018, 07:27:46 PM
I find 5 and 6 completely irrelevant. I couldn't care less about the government benefiting from my loss.
Is gambling a good thing? Of course! It has its  benefits the most important being 2 and 4. It's entertaining and it gives you a chance to win with this chance being rather high in some games like poker.
I do only consider 2 and 4 which are actually the benefits which can only be achieved by a certain player and the rest is indeed goes to the government which i dont really care at all. Gambling do really have its positive benefits but we cant really remove the fact that it would mostly give you negative ones if you let yourself took control over yourself. Always on control and just enjoy the monehy being spent into your leisure times without abusing it too much.

That is why number 2 on your list shouldn't have been there in the first place because you cannot gamble and loose money for entertainment if you are cautious of not spending or abusing too much money on leisure. I gamble because i want to win and the benefits my governemnt derives is just a bonus and whether they use it rightly is none of my business.
You are right and the thing i dont like is that the government on our country is included into the list where corruption is rampant thats why i dont really like for them to benefit when it comes to tax yet i had known on where those funds would go,even we say its none of our business but we cant really avoid to think up on things.Id rather play on an online casino and spoil all of my winnings (in case) and i do rather like to make the gambling site owner to be rich if i lose  Grin
If you have enough of money, i think you just like an entertainment and doesn't care even if you just win or lose as long as you are entertained. Anyway, i don't believe that gambling can give a positive effect to the people, maybe in some other cases with various factors would change the case (too many to mention).

If i have enough money with self conviction i will still not waste my money on gambling for entertainmenmt since there are other forms of entertainment outside gambling which are also free of charge. If you have enough money that you worked hard in earning i don't think you will still want to spoil your self by wasting them on gambling unless you have no use or respect for money.
Using up money on gambling sites doesnt really mean that you have no use or respect for money yet there are people who would really likes to play and do make use of their money on playing without minding too much on the risk or losing those funds. The important thing on here is that you should really be responsible enough into your actions which your funds being used are not on the ones being used to support your daily living. Leisure is normal and lots of ways on how we deal on it, some would be practical where they do avoid on too much spending but there are people who do loves gambling inspite on being too much expense.
5837  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Number One Reason NOT to invest in Crypto on: May 21, 2018, 11:06:02 PM
Sorry for OP. That's the way it is though. It's all about security. Investing in Cryptocurrencies is one thing. Security one's assets is another thing. I believe this is something anyone looking to invest in Cryptocurrencies should be aware of ~ which is to take securing assets very seriously. The number of scams, hacks and theft in crypto is too numerous to mention. I think that's why the SEC is becoming more concerned about crypto.
Even SEC is becoming concern with crypto but still it cant do anything about it because of decentralization these things cant really be avoided to happen. Security and price volatility would be the main reasons why bitcoin or crypto cant really be easily considered or adopted on legal terms. It not really right to discourage someone to invest on crypto since we do have our own will, its up too us if we decide to continue or not as long we are aware then its up to us.

Its been 5 months now, since I joined cryptocurrency ,I've seen many ups and downs in Bitcoin Currency and Altcoins even in those Rank 2 to 100 in Coinmarketcap, but I just want to clarify why every end of the year starts in September then up to  December Bitcoin fly high, any fundamental reason why does the value of Bitcoin and other currency go up?
Of all the years been seeing how bitcoin and altcoins do move in those months i can say that there are really cryptoholders who became rich because of such pump but for this year we cant still assure if that pump will still happen or will just stay on this level and gradually have an increase,no one really knows but if you do like to be rich then you should take the risk on purchasing, not only on bitcoin but also with altcoins.Just remember this thing where if theres someone who become rich with crypto then there would be always who got broke and lose up money.
