5821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CS:GO and Betting on: July 13, 2020, 07:31:39 AM

when I bet on CSGO I’m all the time energized. I think this is a bad idea for me to do this or am I not alone in this?

I don't think it's a bad thing to be emtional invested in your bets. Because if you wouldn't care at all there is a higher risk for you to just gamble and bet a lot without thinking twice. But there is a difference between energized and just betting for the fun of it because your actions don't have any effect on the betting. With gambling it's different you have more options. For betting it's just pacing your bet and watch, definitely best to enjoy the ride  Cheesy
5822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 12, 2020, 07:16:01 AM
Im backing this in Dota, seems low risk low reward 1.25/1
Low risk means less profit  Cheesy I prefer higher profits, but high risk does not mean higher profits  Cheesy It's like the difference in competency between two teams, I can get high profits when I choose the weaker team, it also means I have a very low chance of winning. I often love taking risks, but this makes me feel a headache because I don't know how to risk here Roll Eyes the risk here is stupid when I know the difference between teams  Roll Eyes Maybe I should switch to betting on match scores, what do you guys think about it?

I agree that low risk bets are not so desireable, you profits are either fairly small or you need to bet a lot of your bankroll. I prefer too on betting on higher risk teams. For a small return I just stick to investing. But
it all depends if you think the quotes are wrong. So if you know alot about two CSGO teams and you think the chance of winning is much higher than implied by the odds. It sounds like a great bet. At the moment with only online tournaments I stopped betting a lot.
5823  Other / Politics & Society / Re: the usa is technically not a nation, its a geographic cooperation on: July 12, 2020, 07:05:47 AM
americans describe themselves as being a nation, like germany, or france or russia, but they are not a society that is being held together by a single language, but by a geographic boundaries.

nations in america are the englisch speaking, the hispanics, the sioux etc.

Probably many people with disagree with you because USA has a feeling of a nation. I think this is mostly due to wars. If you are a nation and fight a against a common enemy, it will unite the people. First against the British, then WW1 and WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq 1&2, Afghanistan. With so many foreign threats, there should be a lot of unity. Unfortunately all of this is being lost in the last few years.
5824  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] ★☆★ 777Coin Signature Campaign ★☆★ (Member-Hero Accepted) (New) on: July 11, 2020, 08:12:34 AM
Sorry for the delay but in the soonest time possible, all outstanding payout would be made. I have been in communication with @lightlord but has been very busy lately which is the reason behind the payout been delayed.

PS: Just keep promoting this campaign to your best effort possible and your post would be counted weekly by me without any delay which you'll surely recieve your reward when payout are sent.

Regards
Brainboss management service.

No worries, thanks for the update. This campaign has been around for such a long time. No point it worrying here. Actually, for me it's completely fine if the campaign just bundles and sends the payments every few weeks together. Doing these payments every week takes some time which can be saved of course.
5825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CS:GO and Betting on: July 11, 2020, 08:08:45 AM
CS:GO Betting is very Risky it give so much Player Transfer, and from many you don’t notice anything.
By the corona virus has played many tournaments from home. This gave real outsiders the chance to make it big because they are in their familiar surroundings. and not in large halls with lots of people.
There are 1-3 teams that can be said to always be good.

I agree, CSGO being played online is completely different from a huge LAN setting where you have an audience and everyone is watch you. The stress levels must be so much higher sitting in the cubicles with cameras all around, playing on standard PCs, etc. For betting it's the same, it seems much riskier to bet on the favourite team in an online setting than an onsite tournament.
But for me CSGO betting is a nice way to turn smaller skins into something bigger. Just don't bet anything big.
5826  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we agree BTC is not a store of value? on: July 11, 2020, 07:30:30 AM
Listen to this podcast.
https://unconfirmed.libsyn.com/coronavirus-how-it-will-impact-bitcoin-and-the-halving-ep116
However much you want it to be, BTC is NOT a store of value.  It has been a few years since $20K and even now, each peak is smaller than the previous peak.  Probably be $3K by the end of the week.

Why so pessimistic about the outlook of bitcoins? Now in July BTC is still above 9,000 USD. I haven't sold any of my coins in a while and not going to do so. Bitcoin is a currency like many others, you can use it as a diversification in your portfolio. And historically speaking it has been a good store of value. Storing your value would mean it rises slighty with inflation and doesn't jump around to $20k. I believe bitcoins will become more and more stable in the future, making it a good instrument to save money. For gambling and high risk investing I would recommend altcoins.
5827  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you feel safe going outside? on: July 11, 2020, 07:24:52 AM
I have heard that once you are affected by covid 19 and survive it (remain alive) then your immunity system will not let you affect by the virus again ?

How true is that ?

It's completely true. It's basic biology. You get infected by a pathogen, your body builds up immunity through antibody production which recognizes virus particles and destroys them. The only case of someone getting "reinfected" by COVID-19 is if they had the disease once and get infected by a mutated form. Your body will repeat the cycle again producing antibodies against the mutated form.

How do you know that the corona virus will not mutate? So far it's still not clear if corona will come back in the next years in a slighty different form. Just like the flu is coming back every year. If you had it in one year or even got the vaccine against it, you can still get it in the next year. I think we all should remain cautious, even if you already had corona. Unfortunately it will still take a long for us to full understand corona.
5828  Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better, staking or investing? on: July 09, 2020, 08:08:15 AM
I think the risks in staking is much higher than outright investing yourself. You obviously need to invest a lot more time when doing your own research and chosing which coins to buy. And you will also lose some money sometimes but in the end it's better to have some bad picks which will be outweighted by your good picks then having to risk to be defrauded. If you end up stacking a scam you could lose everything. Better to full control of your investments. Except if you have to much money and don't know where to put it, then diversifying could help.
5829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still enjoy the anonymity in gambling in the long run? on: July 08, 2020, 02:51:00 PM
Looks like if that happens we have to sacrifice a little bit of our privacy to play our favorite casino and sport betting games. It's most likely unavoidable in the near future but its necessary while there are cons there are also pros. Because we might get insurance and protection against scam gambling sites.
When we began to access a site or a gambling site, and we start to sign up expect that our anonymity was gone because before we sign up they will ask our email address and other information and sometimes they required KYC, that is why we should avoid scam gambling sites for us not to steal our information. In today's generation don't expect that you could hide your identity, even you use fake information because there are some organizations and people who can easily trace you.

Don't forget that the governments are also interested in your online gambling habbits. Any larger winnings would need to be taxed, so from casinos storing data on their customers, it's only a small step to make such data accessible for the governments.  And of course personal information has a huge value these days. There are so many companies just buying this information and selling them to various advertisement companies. So for example when registering your phone number on some casino website, I would assume that you definitely get more sales calls. So much for the anonymity =/
5830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 08, 2020, 08:30:12 AM
After the reopening of casinos and businesses in Las Vegas, it has been proven that the proper sanitary controls were not carried out. An increase in new positive cases of coronavirus is observed. This alerts the authorities that they must correct the measures in order to avoid the increase in new cases.

For there to be an economic reactivation, the sanitary controls that have been implemented around the world and that have given good results must be strictly followed.

The following article reviews how business in Nevada reopened and what the result is.

Quote

The risks of infections among a big group of people is still very high, especially indoors. I think it's good casinos are open again but it definitely needs to be better monitored if the safety controls are actually being followed. Enforcing sanitary controls seems to becoming more and more difficult the longer the pandemic last. It's on all of us to follow recommendations to limit the spread of covid 19 further.
5831  Other / Politics & Society / Re: CoronaHoax 2020: Coronavorus isn't real on: July 08, 2020, 08:08:38 AM
I know a sham when I see one.  The Media Industry is putting a lot of effort into this one in order to sell more papers.  I wonder if they're using this for another cover-up as well.  Yet another lie, you know the drill.

You might be right that this getting blown out of proportion. The important thing though is that Bitcoin price has only increased since the start of the pandemic despite the drop in march:

Having a virus all around the world without any vaccination seems very risky to me. Maybe you don't believe in the some media caompanies - but rejecting all form of media seems crazy. I am sure if you end up with a family member of friend infected with corona you will change your mind.

5833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: July 08, 2020, 07:41:43 AM
That small part of gamblers will not always earn money for the long term because they need to realize that if they win, that is because of their luck comes to them.

As long as the casino can manage their welcome bonuses to their visitors and members, the casino will make a profit from the gamblers because there will be some gamblers who will deposit in a big amount to play gambling. That can be another income for the casino in the short term and long term, which can bring them the money.

I do not mean gamblers who are just lucky, even if they are lucky for a long time. I mean professional players who have developed certain strategies and know how to beat the casino.
Of course, such cases are one, but history shows us that they had a place to be in the past, which means they are now.

In regular casinos, there is a security service that calculates professional players and in the future they may be denied access to the casino. I think that there are people or software in online casinos that monitors your winnings, and if you almost always win, you may also be banned from playing there.
It is true. The casino will use their secret employees to act as a real gambler and play together with other gamblers, so that employee can know who is a gambler that can win the most round so they can watch closest to that gamblers. And if necessary, they will invite the gamblers to play in the secret room which will eat their money as soon as possible. That gambler will always want to spend and get more challenges from the casino because they want to make another win.

This sounds a bit like a hollywood movie. The casino doesn't need to employee a lot of people just as fake gambler to interact with real gamblers.

Of course there are VIP rooms for professional gambler, but you need to a be a whale to actually get into these. If you just play with a few hundred bucks and get lucky one night, you wont be joining these rooms.

Also, don't forget that the games in the casino are already running in their favour - every game has a casino edge - otherwise they wouldn't make money.
5834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I have an idea about betting on bitcoin on: July 08, 2020, 07:32:48 AM
I have an idea. I will not implement it, I don't know if already it exists, but I would like to post it. Tell me, if it would be dumb.

These days, there are many online casinos with games like poker. I wonder, how would a betting price site would be?

Like betting 0.01BTC on the price of bitcoin. If, I've bet that by tomorrow it will have pass 10,000$ I would get the analogous amount of BTC
If the price wouldn't, I would have simply lost my funds. There is a difference with poker here, tho. Central authorities, cannot control it. So the man that has the site, may bankrupt. On the other hand, I think we can admit that online poker (especially with real money) is never on pure luck of the cards.

This sounds pretty much just as derivatives on bitcoins, options would be a good start but it sounds more like CFDs. The problem here with offering such contracts is that you would need to be able to hedge yourself. Do you want to be other party and always bet against your customers?
5835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker games that are providing free plays to earn real money on: July 08, 2020, 07:30:49 AM
pokerstars and everestpoker also have tournaments forfree where you can play and earn money and start scalating tournaments little by little, I have a friend who earns a couple thousand dollars each money and lives only out of poker

though it's quite stressfull life, he smokes a lot and plays 9 tables at once.
Lol, you really think we are going to believe you? There is no way he is earning thousands of dollars from playing free tournaments. Others are saying they give like 1k sat to 20k sat maximum, which is no way near thousands of dollars.
Or probably your friend is abusing the free offer and probably breaking their tos by using multiple accounts to abuse their free tournament.

I am pretty sure he is playing for actual money, not free to play tournaments. There is too much luck involved in these free to play tournaments.

Also playing 9 tables at the same time sounds more like cash games to me than big tournaments as they wouldn't all start at the same time.

If you want to make money with poker you need to grind your way through low stacks tables - where you want make a few thousand bucks a months - or you need to have a big bankroll to be able to manage any downswings.
5836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Life soundtrack for Gamblers? on: July 08, 2020, 07:27:58 AM
I would recommend to go oldschool - one of my favourites and this would fit perfect for a las vegas setting.

Not really casino related but still a great song.
5837  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: July 08, 2020, 07:08:38 AM
Very strange thing i noticed: most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few

I think all clients i had from bitcointalk prefer to use bitcoin to buy services / products they needed ...

Not a single client that i had until now used altcoins like ethereum ,litecoin etc or tokens like usdt, usdc ....

Why do you think people don't like to use altcoins to buy things on the internet ?

For me the only really usable crypto currency is Bitcoins, it's just so popular that you can use it in many stores. When buy on selling online the only 2 major currencies I really see is Bitcoins or Ethereum and sometimes Bitcoin Cash. But for me it's all just Bitcoins.  I think for investing it's fine to look at altcoins, but using regulary for purchases I would not recommend altcoins.
5838  Other / Politics & Society / Re: should china be punished for Bullying Countries? on: July 08, 2020, 06:49:19 AM
CHINA MUST BE PUNISHED ! but how ? Is it possible for any nation right now to even think about it due to current pandemic situation.
But after this virus spread will be controlled , i'm sure many nations will come together to punish China .
Till then let's hope for better recovery of affected countries
India is the one started to punish them with territory clash with 59 apps ban and USA also looking to ban Chinese apps.We can't go for a war now and it will only kill the innocenet people so other countries will try to punish them economically which may takes time but surely they have to pay for what they did to the world.

Intentionally spread corona all around the world

Border issues with multiple countries.

Selling cheap PPE items to world.etc...

I wish more countries would step up against China. India banning Apps from China is a good start, but as long as the world is keeping up with the low production costs and China and buying there good nothing will change. More countries should work together and increase sanctions against China. Just look at Hong Kong - we must react!
5839  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gas prices, why do people pay that much more for a "brand" on: July 07, 2020, 09:09:08 AM
I can't really answer that question for Germany, because here it seems different. People prefer to buy the cheapest gas for their cars. On a big street overhere we have a the big name gas stations and normally a few hundred meters further we have the low budge gas station with lower prices. Everytime I pass the gas stations there are more cars for the budget gas. But in the end it's probably all the same gas anyways and they just try to sell more.
The only difference is that the brand gas stations have a premium gas for high end sports cars. But I barely see people actually using it. I guess the Germans are looking more to save money than anything else.
5840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical Casinos Decoded : on: July 07, 2020, 09:04:45 AM
The first time I went to a casino, it feels like I don't want to go home and stay for a longer time, the lounge is very cozy , the staffs are very accommodating, there are a lot of freebies, feels like home to me,you are treated like a king especially if you are with a high bettor and high roller.

It's just a good casino, man. This is their job so that you can comfortably spend your money and enjoy the game. Time flies in the casino. That is why it is much more pleasant to play in a regular casino than in an online casino.

Yeah I agree, going to onsite casinos is all about the atmosphere and flair. For me it's more about having a good time than actually winning big - I prefer games like poker and black jack. The upsite is fairly limited if you only play a few hours. Sure you can have a good streak but in the end I just end up spending most of the money for a 5 star dinner and a some expensive drinks. Playing online in a casino however it's more about winning. I am focusing more on my bankroll and always try to save some winnings. It's hard to compare playing online in your living room to being on a huge gambling floor with many people around you having a good time.
