5841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Celtics) on: May 22, 2022, 05:24:41 PM
I watched about half of last nights game between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat and I couldn’t believe how well the Heat played without their star player being on top of his game in Jimmy Butler. It’s amazing to me that they were able to pull off the victory with Jimmy Butler only ending up with 8 points. I foresee them in the championships for sure.

I had all but given the series to the Celtics before this game.  I have to admit I was shocked to see how it turned out.  Now they're saying Butler isn't 100% but it seems like a lot of people still think Miami is going to win.  I'm not in that camp, but I must admit that I have no idea how they pulled out the win last night.  I guess this is going to be a series after all.

Why Russia isn't using it's full force in Ukraine ?

I think the short answer would be that Ukraine is too close to Russia for Russia to even consider using it's most deadly weapons on them.  Sure, Russia could nuke Ukraine off the planet, but it would certainly have side effects for their own home as radiation would surely have side effects on their citizens.  Not to mention they would absolutely destroy the land they're trying to take.  It would make no sense whatsoever.  This isn't even touching on the response from other countries.

Well, I guess you know what they say...  Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.  If God smiles at death, then at least we have that in common.  Smiley

I also lost on this game, riding on the -6.5 for the Celtics to win at home.

But it's a different scenario, Celtics this time starting slow and let the Heat established a good lead in the first quarter alone. Although they cut the lead to 2 if I'm not mistaken, the Heat is composed not to let this game slip away from them.

Marcus Smart injury is painful to watch though.  Sad

Looking forward to the next game: Warriors vs Mavs again.

It really is painful to watch, I could have bet for the Heat, and because I didn't know that Bam Adebayo could explode like that I have gone with the Boston Celtics, but that Jayson Tatum injury was really nasty, and I hope just like Marcus Smart, Tatum Injury was not really critical because if he has that kind of injury the next game I will be switching bets for the Miami Heat, but for now I will be focusing on tomorrows game instead.

So here is my pick for tomorrow's game the Western Conference Finals,

Dallas Mavericks VS Golden State Warriors (Warriors Leads 0 - 2)

Stake odds for this game were shifted now to 1.69 for the Mavericks while 2.23 for the Warriors Right now the Golden State Warriors have Andrew Wiggins and Andre Iguodala questionable if they can play for the Warriors while Mavericks still have Tim Hardaway Jr. can not play for the Dallas Mavericks, I think it shifted the bookie's odds because the Mavericks is now playing on their turf, But for me, I got this weird feeling that the Golden State Warriors will still have this win and this is going to be an upset game, even without Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney have shown that he is not only for defense the warrior players are starting to grow and unlock their potential 1 by 1 Now the Warriors can have a defensive and offensive game at the same time, so I am still going with the Warriors,

I'd probably go with the Warriors here.  Dallas will have their backs against the wall as they won't be coming back from 0-3 if they lose this game.  It's pretty much their season on the line here.  I think Dallas will throw everything they have at Golden State tonight, but I don't think they have enough for the win.  After the amazing start they got off to last game, you could see their spirit broken as Jordan Poole was smack talking all game and getting under their skin.  I don't think they're going to come back from blowing that lead.  It was like you could see them give up the series in real time.
5845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 22, 2022, 01:34:18 AM
I'm still taking the Celtics handicap even if the Heat got Lowry back since we saw last time how the Heat struggled against the Sixers on the road. Now with a much tougher team like the Celtics, I don't know if getting their teammate back would quickly turn the tides of the series but we'll see. I expect the Celtics to take the lead and most likely cover the spread but if the Heat suddenly gets revenge here then we might have a long series. I also have another bet on the -6.5 but it's a parlay with the spread as the last leg.

I was thinking the Celtics had this series in the bag but Miami came out firing while the Celtics can’t seem to buy a bucket. Tatum starting the game 1-6 with some early fouls and the team isn’t shooting much better, currently 37% to Miami’s 52%… Celtics are also 2-10 from 3 point range. Hopefully the game turns around for them. It’s a game of averages so I think the shots will start falling for them eventually. Miami has a head start with a pretty good wary lead. Will be interesting to see how Tatum responds in the second half.

Experience won. Luka Doncic is still young. This will not be the end of his career even if they lost. But let's not get ahead yet. 2 games in Dallas Mavericks land and they might show us something different from the past two games. I did expect they can win it during the first half but the Warriors have history of come backs during the second half and we witnessed it again.

I personally do not get it why people are too hard on Luka- he's definitely the greatest 23-year old player in the league right now. He carried his team to the playoffs especially that he can dominate in the paint and shoot anywhere on the field. While he may technically not be athletic in some ways, he can score the basket pretty easily with his devilish moves and tricky techniques that lets him get to the paint with ease.

Though this may be the case, the cake will be taken home by the Warriors in this matchup. With their experience in the playoffs and dominating players, the Dallas have a relatively low chance of beating this team.

I definitely don't think you can put the blame on Luka.  The fact is that Luka is the #1 threat on the Mavericks so defenses are literally setup just to keep him from putting up huge numbers.  The Warriors have 3 major threats to score now with Steph, Klay, and now Poole.  It's hard for defenses to cope.  Not to mention the Warriors have Draymond to setup plays for the scorers while Luka has to be the playmaker and the scorer for his team.

I agree that the Warriors just have the matchup advantage.  The Mavericks need a couple more years to build and get more talent around Luka.  I don't doubt Mark Cuban will figure out a way to get it done.
5847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC is in circulation? on: May 21, 2022, 10:14:54 PM
It's often discussed how many BTC are in reality circulating vs what the numbers will show.  I think I've seen it mentioned that as many as 2.5 million BTC could have been lost for one reason or another over the years (mostly early on as people thought it had no value).  That would put a more realistic number of about 16.5 million BTC in circulation in reality, with it peaking out at around 18.5 million at the end of the distribution period.  You could make the argument that Bitcoin's market cap is inflated as a result compared to other coins, who likely have a much less % of lost coins due to them being created later when the value of crypto had begun being recognized.

I haven't seen a whole lot of speculation on these boards recently about who McGregor will be fighting next.  From the looks of his body, he's been focusing a lot of his training on getting a massive upper body while recovering from his horrific leg injury.  I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get a UFC title shot like he wants and maybe has to resort to going for another payday style boxing match like he did with Mayweather.  That seems to be popular these days.  I'm not sure who he would face...  I don't think he wants to go the Jake Paul route, but maybe Canelo in a boxing match?
5849  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Monkeypox, are you vaccinated ? on: May 21, 2022, 06:33:05 PM
Regardless of whatever pox or flu they push next to try and scare everyone into more stimulus, they're going to have a hard time.  After this covid hoax and spending ten trillion dollars to fight the flu, only to produce a vaccine that was 1% effective after the first week, then finding out that contracting covid naturally leads to far better immune resistance...  I honestly don't see how anyone could trust the government when it comes to health issues ever again.  The fact is that every single person who took the vaccine is worse off going forward than had they caught covid.  Now they are already starting this vaccinate against everything push...  The people who fall for this stuff are going to be sickly the rest of their lives probably.  Meanwhile the tinfoil hat wearers who avoided this stuff can just go right on living normally like mankind always has...

Heat or Celtics? They are giving away +7 but when we look at what happened at Game 2 that amount may not suffice. From a blowout in Miami to their homecourt, it could've been better.

I think if I were a gambling man (I'm not betting on this game) I would have to take the Celtics +7.  I think the Heat are just overmatched and now that Smart and Horford are back it would take a bit of a miracle game for Jimmy Butler to be able to carry the Heat to victory over the Celtics.  This is pretty much a must win game for them though or else they'll be down 3-1 and facing elimination.  I expect we'll see them give their all tonight, but I still don't think it will be enough.  This series has really showed just how much Boston relies on Marcus Smart for their defense.  While Taytum and Brown get all the credit, they couldn't do it without Smart.
5851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 21, 2022, 08:05:16 AM
I think you've got to be betting Boston here.  While Miami is going to try and bounce back, there are just too many things on Boston's side at the moment.  I'd be a little worried to have money riding on the Heat after the way they looked on the last game.  I think with the defensive player of the year back, Miami is having a hard time getting the ball in the hole.  I'm expecting Boston to take all their home games in the series so long as they can keep their main guys healthy and Taytum keeps scoring like an elite player.
5852  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 21, 2022, 07:59:48 AM
The amount of leveraged longs at the moment is a little bit disturbing.  Even as the price falls the leveraged amounts keep rising.  That is a whole lot of BTC sales that are hanging over the market.  That along with mtgox funds and ETH2.0 coins being unlocked soon and you've got yourself a perfect storm for a crash.  Not to mention the coming recession.  I sure hope they get an ETF approved soon so it can soak up some of the coming coins that will be hitting the market.  So far I'm seeing more and more future sales hanging over the market's head while guys like Saylor aren't in a position to pile in much more.
5853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 21, 2022, 07:48:08 AM
What do you guys thought on Miami Heat without Kyle Lowry again and PJ Tucker? Both are questionable leading to their game 3 series at the homecourt of Boston Celtics. Currently Miami Heat is at +6.5 but is this enough? Who will guard Jason Tatum? I think PJ Tucker is so important in this current Heat line up. The old man is has the experience and can play defense. Maybe they will use Dedmon and Adebayo at pf?

I think Boston showed last game that if Marcus Smart is in the lineup to anchor the defense, Miami is in trouble.  Kyle Lowry might make a difference, but I doubt it.  He's not exactly in his prime.  I'm expecting Marcus Smart and Al Horford to be feeling even better now that they've had more time to heal.

How about that Warriors comeback?  Dallas had a great start but couldn't hold on.  I think Golden State showed that they're in control of this series.  With possibly only 2 more games to go for them, it looks like they might have a Finals win in store for them this season.

Luka is putting in work right now in the Dallas Mavericks vs Golden State Warriors game. He’s out scoring the Warriors by himself so far and his team is up by 15. Not a good start by the Warriors but I’m sure they’ll settle down and get back in the game. A bit shocking after how they dominated game 1 to start off so poorly. I still think they’ll win, but we’ve reached the level where it’ll be a comeback for them at this point, and it’s still only the first quarter.

How do you feel when someone gives you MERIT?

Personally, when someone gives me merit I get a warm fuzzy feeling all over.  I'd liken it to peeing your pants in the freezing cold.  The instant relief from cold as the warmth dribbles down your legs, heating everything in it's path with no regard for the consequence.  This is what merit feels like to me.

Even better than receiving though, is giving away that sweet sweet merit.  I enjoy spraying merit all over the boards for everyone to share in that warm fuzzy feeling with me.  I always look for opportunities to shoot merit on those who have yet to receive it in the hopes that it helps remove some cold from their day as well.  Warm fuzziness for all!
5856  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most trusted casinos on BTalk on: May 20, 2022, 04:22:28 PM
The only actively running casino I've tried here is Stake.com.  I've never had any issues with them that weren't quickly resolved, so I've never had a reason to try anywhere else.  I'm sure any of the popular casinos are probably fine to use, but with folks like Drake & Stevewilldoit pushing Stake, you know they've got a whole lot of money going through that place and a whole lot of customers.  The fact these boards aren't littered with complaints after having so many users should tell the tale of how trusted and well run the service is.  Not saying others aren't as well, but I know Stake is legit.  Smiley
5857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 20, 2022, 05:45:02 AM
Al Horford went 4-4 from the field and Marcus Smart nearly had a triple double. The Celtics were definitely glad to have them back in the lineup. Their defense kept everyone except for Jimmy Butler below 15 points. The 25 point loss makes the game seem closer than it was. The Heat are in a little trouble now. They need to prove game 1 wasn’t a fluke and they can compete against a full Celtics team or else this is going to be the end of their season in 3 more games. They play each other again on Saturday.

I’ve got one that I’d probably be willing to sell for 0.03 BTC if you’re interested. Not as good a deal as above but I’m in the US. Let me know if you’re interested at all. I forgot these existed. Had to go check my boookshelf to make sure I still had one.  Smiley
5859  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: WTS stake.com Acc on: May 19, 2022, 07:46:45 PM
1) This should probably be in digital goods.

2) I don't believe it's allowed to sell your stake.com account.

3) It's likely the buyer of this account could have the account locked or deposited funds confiscated if it is discovered that it was sold here.

4) Selling a KYC'd gambling account is basically identity fraud for the buyer and could land them in some hot water.

I appreciation your entrepreneurial spirit, but I question how smart this would be for the buyer.  There are definitely some red flags here and I also believe you'll have trouble finding an escrow agent to facilitate this type of trade.

Anyway, best of luck to you, but I'm not sure this is it chief.
