5861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 21, 2022, 08:05:16 AM
I think you've got to be betting Boston here.  While Miami is going to try and bounce back, there are just too many things on Boston's side at the moment.  I'd be a little worried to have money riding on the Heat after the way they looked on the last game.  I think with the defensive player of the year back, Miami is having a hard time getting the ball in the hole.  I'm expecting Boston to take all their home games in the series so long as they can keep their main guys healthy and Taytum keeps scoring like an elite player.
5862  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 21, 2022, 07:59:48 AM
The amount of leveraged longs at the moment is a little bit disturbing.  Even as the price falls the leveraged amounts keep rising.  That is a whole lot of BTC sales that are hanging over the market.  That along with mtgox funds and ETH2.0 coins being unlocked soon and you've got yourself a perfect storm for a crash.  Not to mention the coming recession.  I sure hope they get an ETF approved soon so it can soak up some of the coming coins that will be hitting the market.  So far I'm seeing more and more future sales hanging over the market's head while guys like Saylor aren't in a position to pile in much more.
5863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 21, 2022, 07:48:08 AM
What do you guys thought on Miami Heat without Kyle Lowry again and PJ Tucker? Both are questionable leading to their game 3 series at the homecourt of Boston Celtics. Currently Miami Heat is at +6.5 but is this enough? Who will guard Jason Tatum? I think PJ Tucker is so important in this current Heat line up. The old man is has the experience and can play defense. Maybe they will use Dedmon and Adebayo at pf?

I think Boston showed last game that if Marcus Smart is in the lineup to anchor the defense, Miami is in trouble.  Kyle Lowry might make a difference, but I doubt it.  He's not exactly in his prime.  I'm expecting Marcus Smart and Al Horford to be feeling even better now that they've had more time to heal.

How about that Warriors comeback?  Dallas had a great start but couldn't hold on.  I think Golden State showed that they're in control of this series.  With possibly only 2 more games to go for them, it looks like they might have a Finals win in store for them this season.
5864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 21, 2022, 01:24:11 AM
Luka is putting in work right now in the Dallas Mavericks vs Golden State Warriors game. He’s out scoring the Warriors by himself so far and his team is up by 15. Not a good start by the Warriors but I’m sure they’ll settle down and get back in the game. A bit shocking after how they dominated game 1 to start off so poorly. I still think they’ll win, but we’ve reached the level where it’ll be a comeback for them at this point, and it’s still only the first quarter.

How do you feel when someone gives you MERIT?

Personally, when someone gives me merit I get a warm fuzzy feeling all over.  I'd liken it to peeing your pants in the freezing cold.  The instant relief from cold as the warmth dribbles down your legs, heating everything in it's path with no regard for the consequence.  This is what merit feels like to me.

Even better than receiving though, is giving away that sweet sweet merit.  I enjoy spraying merit all over the boards for everyone to share in that warm fuzzy feeling with me.  I always look for opportunities to shoot merit on those who have yet to receive it in the hopes that it helps remove some cold from their day as well.  Warm fuzziness for all!
5866  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most trusted casinos on BTalk on: May 20, 2022, 04:22:28 PM
The only actively running casino I've tried here is Stake.com.  I've never had any issues with them that weren't quickly resolved, so I've never had a reason to try anywhere else.  I'm sure any of the popular casinos are probably fine to use, but with folks like Drake & Stevewilldoit pushing Stake, you know they've got a whole lot of money going through that place and a whole lot of customers.  The fact these boards aren't littered with complaints after having so many users should tell the tale of how trusted and well run the service is.  Not saying others aren't as well, but I know Stake is legit.  Smiley
5867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 20, 2022, 05:45:02 AM
Al Horford went 4-4 from the field and Marcus Smart nearly had a triple double. The Celtics were definitely glad to have them back in the lineup. Their defense kept everyone except for Jimmy Butler below 15 points. The 25 point loss makes the game seem closer than it was. The Heat are in a little trouble now. They need to prove game 1 wasn’t a fluke and they can compete against a full Celtics team or else this is going to be the end of their season in 3 more games. They play each other again on Saturday.

I’ve got one that I’d probably be willing to sell for 0.03 BTC if you’re interested. Not as good a deal as above but I’m in the US. Let me know if you’re interested at all. I forgot these existed. Had to go check my boookshelf to make sure I still had one.  Smiley
5869  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: WTS stake.com Acc on: May 19, 2022, 07:46:45 PM
1) This should probably be in digital goods.

2) I don't believe it's allowed to sell your stake.com account.

3) It's likely the buyer of this account could have the account locked or deposited funds confiscated if it is discovered that it was sold here.

4) Selling a KYC'd gambling account is basically identity fraud for the buyer and could land them in some hot water.

I appreciation your entrepreneurial spirit, but I question how smart this would be for the buyer.  There are definitely some red flags here and I also believe you'll have trouble finding an escrow agent to facilitate this type of trade.

Anyway, best of luck to you, but I'm not sure this is it chief.

5871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PoW coins vs Non Pow coins on: May 19, 2022, 07:37:01 PM
I want miners opinion about PoW altcoins and non PoW altcoins, do you think that Proof of work projects are more reliable than other projects that people raised money for? Which is more likely to fail than the other? It seems IEO and ICO projects die faster than mineable coins, the only PoW coins that failed are bad from the beginning (shitcoins) what do you say.

Proof of Work is obviously superior.  Not just from a security standpoint, but also from a distribution standpoint.  It's also easier to see if there's real life support behind the coin, or just some rich people who spent some money and now want to get free coins forever from new entrants.

That being said, there are times when Bitcoin level security isn't necessary and a smaller carbon footprint would be appreciated.  Also, once coins have had their initial distribution, PoW does lose one of it's talking points (fair distribution).  So I can see why there is a market for PoS chains, but they're obviously not as good as PoW, which is why they have other advantages like a smaller carbon footprint.
5872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gridseed 5 Chip Solo Mining issue. on: May 19, 2022, 07:33:48 PM
I used to own gridseeds a very long time ago (probably my worst hardware purchase ever, that was actually delivered).  It looks like you're mining Bitcoin with them?  If so, this isn't really the place for getting good help.  Try the mining support section.  As long as you're mining Bitcoin and not altcoins, that's where you'll find the best help.  I put a link below to that section of the forum and at the bottom of this page you'll see a "move" link that you can use to move this thread into that section.  I think it's your best chance to actually get quality help for the problem you're having.  Good luck!

5873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 19, 2022, 07:30:38 PM
I will be going with the Boston Celtics, if Marcus Smarts, and Al Hoford can play that would be a good chance for the Celtics,

Marcus Smart is probable, but Horford is still questionable.
I suggest you place your bet before the tip in, or to be safe, bet during the live game so you'll verify if these two will play or not.
Celtics are good as a team, but we cannot deny that they lack big time during the first game and that is because Smart and Horford did not play.

I'm also thinking of betting on the Celtics in game two or at least the +3.5. It was just a performance by Butler in the first game, but definitely the Celtics saw what happened specially in the 3rd quarter. They had a good lead, but they just let the Heat takes over and they play sluggish in that stretch. And if Smart and Horford are going to play it might be a different outcome in game 2.

It was my understanding that Horford wouldn't be playing in Game 2, but may be back for Game 3.  I've also read that Marcus Smart will be back for Game 2, but will likely be playing with limited minutes as he is still not 100%.  With this information I'm tempted to say Miami will win, but you never know.  This is certainly their opportunity to build a lead before the Celtics are back to full strength.  So I guess if they can't win tonight, they probably aren't going to win the series.  I expect Miami will come out firing and looking to go up 2-0, but if Smart is back then it will be very different from Butler's 40-piece leading them to victory in game 1.
5874  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biden's dilemma on inflation on: May 19, 2022, 06:56:33 AM
I think Biden is absolutely screwed at this point when it comes to inflation.  He ignored the Fed and let his administration run wild to cash in as much as they could during the covid debacle, leading to an insane expansion of the money supply.  No amount of tax credits is going to change that.  In fact, I would say some of the things he is planning will have an upward pressure on inflation numbers.  I've never seen the government manufacture a recession before, and leave it to them to always overcorrect, so things could get a little crazy in the next couple of years.  We may soon see a return to 'Cash is King' as assets dip to bargain basement prices over the next 18 months.
5875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 19, 2022, 05:37:08 AM
Experience shows. Warriors won in a good amount of lead. Early garbage time.
But there are still a lot of errors that need fixing. Their ball rotation is different from when they are champions. 15 turnovers and most of them are from an off-target pass.
Wiggins on the other hand covered that with his great defense and did not show exhaustion helping in their offense too. Just like Steph said, "This is his time."

The Warriors defense definitely kept the Mavericks in check all night. Luka’s made shots weren’t easy ones and they held him to 6-18 from the field. If they can keep that up, it will be a breeze to the Finals for them. I’m glad their core team is healthy again for the first time in years to remind everyone just how great they are. Wiggins and Poole being nice additions. I just wish Wiseman was out there too. He seemed like he could really take them to the next level with his size.
5876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I don't trust Nvidia on: May 18, 2022, 07:17:26 PM
I've always preferred AMD to Nvidia when it comes to their products.  Especially when it comes to mining.  My AMD VII's are some of the best GPUs I've ever owned and they absolutely destroy any of the other miners I have going right now, even though I have much newer Nvidia cards.

I can't really explain it, but something about Nvidia as a company rubs me the wrong way.  I own plenty of their hardware, and it isn't bad or anything.  There's just something about the way they do business (hashrate lock is a good example) that makes me feel like they're snake oil salesmen or something.  I'm sure there's a nefarious answer for the question of why they did what they did to miners and the timing of things now.  I doubt we'll ever know the truth though.
5877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Californian regulator will review on May 19 the ban on donations in cryptocurren on: May 18, 2022, 06:43:17 PM
I was surprised there was ever a ban on cryptocurrency donations.  Sounds like the first politicians who pushed this ban were probably not interested in crypto, but now that they see there is actual money there, they're running to open the floodgates.  I can only imagine how much money people like Nancy Pelosi will be worth once they don't even have to worry about laundering their money or making illegal stock trades for millions and can just anonymously accept funds for whatever evil she has planned next.  Downright scary to be honest, but hey, at least now Nancy and those like her will be able to hide their hundreds of millions in ill-gotten gains and can go back to pretending their money comes from salary and not corruption.
5878  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Arizona Governor Doug Ducey Begins Bussing Illegal Aliens To Washington DC on: May 18, 2022, 06:39:45 PM
They need to do something.  I saw on the news that we have a "tent city" here in Arizona now.  That's the sort of insane situation we've come to expect from California.  A shame as they export their liberal politics to Arizona to flee the state they ruined, that they're now causing the same problems here.  It's terrible.  I really hope something can be done because the weather here won't be pretty in a month or two for the homeless.  I really wish people would wake up to the far left poison that is destroying our nation.  Sadly, I think it's too late to save us from the nightmare that is headed our way, as our clueless President thinks higher taxes causing layoffs and a recession is the way to fight inflation.  I feel sorry for those who voted for this Biden administration, because I have a feeling they're the ones least prepared for what he has coming for them and were victims to a campaign of lies and shady backdoor tactics.
5879  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Which collectible creator is responsible for 'locking up' the most crypto? on: May 18, 2022, 06:32:54 PM
1) Which creator has 'locked up'/secured the most Bitcoin on physical collectibles?

I would assume Casascius as well.  Isn't there still a loaded 1,000 BTC coin floating around somewhere?

It does make me wonder a bit how much BTC is held on NastyFans minted seats currently.  I'm not going to take the time to figure it out, but if there was someone looking to put in the legwork as they say, it wouldn't be difficult, just time consuming to do so.  Maybe not even very time consuming if you had a program written to fetch addresses...  In any event, you could find the number by going to https://nastyfans.org/mint.json and looking up the held amounts for all the addresses, then add it to the pending amount for all addresses.  It might also be interesting to note that there are currently 15+ BTC being held by NastyMining, which those coins are also entitled to their share.  Still couldn't come close to those who sold loaded coins though (and didn't empty them all).  Also worth noting these coins are still available for purchase at: https://nastyfans.org/mint Smiley
5880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: May 18, 2022, 06:24:31 PM
~Snip~
Marcus Smart and Al Horford didn't play though. So they are not complete when they face the Heat but they took a good lead up to the second quarter. And if they could have sustain that run, it's going to be a close match and who knows, maybe they can steal one game.

Unfortunately, Butler plays like he wanted to proved something against Tatum and the Celtics and he is unguardable.
Yes brother, well Marcus Smart is injured, maybe there is no choice. For this year's NBA I think Al Horford not playing will also make him very pensive. But support doesn't have to force circumstances, space and time. moment.when forced to be outnumbered and tough, I feel respectfully the Celtics are quite authoritative and I believe in their performance.
in the series maybe they will turn around or will bet to walk in place, burning again what to improve the celtics let's see

I hope both will play in game 2, it's a very important game, they need to steal one game on the road. However, if they will lose the game, I still think they are not out in the series yet as they will certainly bounce back hard once the series is shift to Boston.

We have to wait for the update, if both will not be available again, then most likely Heat will win again.

update for the players.

Al Horford not officially ruled out for Game 2 vs. Heat: ‘It’s not a definite that he’s out for 2 games’

For Marcus smart, there's no update yet but he is also not ruled out yet in game 2.
let's just be optimistic, when these two will play, the game will be more exciting to watch, as they provide energy on the floor.

Marcus Smart is definitely missed on defense.  He's working himself into being one of the best defenders in the league and I think from Jimmy Butlers 40 piece yesterday, the breakdown in defense showed.  Al Horford is also a big part of their offense, so having them both out was a death sentence.  I hope they can get back in for game 2, or at least soon, or this will be yet another playoff series determined by injuries.

That being said, I don't think either team in the East can beat a healthy Warriors, so they'd both better be wishing Luka a good game tonight.  I think the Warriors are the clear favorite to win it now.
