Whenever I see walls of text like this, I expect it to end with "my mom got scared, and said, 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air.'"
If it was by me, you better believe it.

For the record, Stefan went into great detail on the BitcoinJS during our interview but we ran out of time to include it. Sorry mate. If you're not busy in January, let's do a more detailed focused interview.
Not everyone knows who "you" are, so why not take the time to put a link to the relevant video, which is hilarious, btw. (vladimir tops it) I figured the sig link would have been a dead giveaway.

Sure thing. Thanks for having me, I had a great time and I like the bits you picked from the interview! I'd be happy to come on again, maybe in late January when there is a beta release of Safebit to announce. That will be superb. You don't mind dressing up like a furry and reciting from an Ayn Rand novel do you? (We have some complicated fetishists to please).

As a life scientist I can't comprehend someone learning about berries with a 'hidden agenda'.
Since you're a "life scientist" that's pretty much what I expected you to say. *shrug* I can't know what I don't know. I do know that if someone says 'STOP DON'T WALK ANY FURTHER!' I'll probably ask why and they'll probably explain. If they refuse the explain, I would obviously press on and do some investigation of my own. I don't think there is any lack of explanation why foods are regulated for safety. This is not to say that I agree with all regulations, but the people involved can't all be evil and in it for 'hidden agendas'. It's statistically improbable.

This is awesome! great job Matthew I hope to do twice as good the next time and blow your socks off. And if they were already blown off, then the next thing we make should blow them back on.

America is pretty much scattered, uneducated and helpless. The whole world is. That doesn't mean that the scientists who spend their entire life finding out if a berry can cause cancer or not don't deserve to be listened to.
They do when they only "find out" if the berry causes cancer because they have a hidden agenda. I mean really, if you spend your whole life trying to find out if a berry causes cancer obviously you're going to want to "find out" it does, amirite guys? Now if you let the free market handle it, you get the absolute best-quality, cheapest possible cancer-berries (thanks to zero government inefficiency) and then someone else will sell you the cure to that pesky cancer. It's a win-win for everyone. As a life scientist I can't comprehend someone learning about berries with a 'hidden agenda'.

The humor isnt my cup of tea put lightly, but the pure bitcoin information parts are great. Wish there was an edited ( without the sick humor... ) version to send on to people not in the bitcoin community.
First and foremost, thanks for watching. As for the humor, my influences are MadTV, SNL, CollegeHumor, 5SecondFilms, RobotChicken, FamilyGuy, MST3K, Marx Brothers, etc. On top of that, everything we did was ad-libbed so I wasn't expected it all to be comedy gold. As for seriousness, this was just a Christmas Special so it wasn't really supposed to be serious. In the future expect plenty of serious regular shows starting in January, just don't expect me to host them all since serious and me don't mix. There are other hosts for those shows more appropriate for the topics. And for those who really want non-humor, highly dry and boring, there is already a dry and boring bitcoin show out there. Lol

Nooo! Where's Atl.. er.. Alpha?!
He lost his value. Also, apologies in advance for all the syncing and sound issues. This was a horribly rushed and ill-prepared video. Next one will be tons better.

FDA just creates health moral hazard - people stop taking their food health choices into their own hands 'cuz government has their back. what a joke!
Those who would change freedom for security deserve neither freedom nor security and always end up losing both.
What is a "health moral hazard"? But it isn't the consumers giving up their freedom, so why would they care about getting extra safety at the cost of some regulating industry existing? I agree with allten on this one. We should crush those evil regulating bodies that keep us from contracting diseases from random foods and stop people from poisoningour milk, meat, produce etc. We deserve the choice to be scattered, uneducated and helpless individuals when there are countless educated and passionate individuals working in that field trying to keep people safe and healthy. Don't you love it when idiots try to say things like that? It's almost as dumb as saying "cops are bad". Let me get this straight. You don't think America is scatterd, uneducated and helpless? America is pretty much scattered, uneducated and helpless. The whole world is. That doesn't mean that the scientists who spend their entire life finding out if a berry can cause cancer or not don't deserve to be listened to.

I can't imagine what codec you are using. I've had real-time digital video editing since 1996. Trading drive space for compression is rarely worthwhile and you should use the least compression possible to avoid artifact concatenation or in your case extreme rendering times just to avoid loss. Drive space is cheap nowadays and your final rendering to the distribution media should be the last step and should go pretty fast if you use youtube's codec.
Of course youre right and this will be remedied starting the next video. The equipment and software was all last minute and we rushed/improved most everything. This is certainly not my best work.

My PC (desktop) has only 1 Radeon Hd6950 but when it's mining away,it can heat up my entire flat in less than 30 mins (and even then it's unconfortably hot). The card is heavily OC'd as well and can get a little noisy but that waste heat heats up my flat instead of using 2 more wasteful room heaters (provided by flat). The power use is just under 300W when mining from the wall.
Here's a headline for ya,1 computer heats up entire flat in 30 minutes. :-)
Here's a headline for you: some dude claims three 100-W light bulbs heat up his entire flat. Reputable as any headline you read in the mass media. Back when I first started mining in my bedroom I woke up with night sweats from the heat, even with AC running. It was a small room but I couldn't sleep with the door closed.

I don't know why I am bothering to post this but, as of this post the final render/encoding process says 4 hours 30 minutes and is climbing one second every second. I presume this means 6 hours. I'll be monitoring it in agony for the rest of the early morning to make sure I get it up by the 27th.

Okay guys. This baby is crowning.
Final encoding and it'll be off to furryredtube.

I need this, Matthew. I need it now.
Lol. The final encoding is being done right now. I know from experience that when people say "I'm working on it" that they actually mean "I'm keeping it in mind for when I am bored enough or almost too late to finish", but I am not doing that. I've slept like 2 hours and edited non-stop. Another sponsor is providing some better computing hardware for us so this should be the last time a nearly one hour special is 3 days late.

This is so hard to read!
Mostly for it's grammatically incorrectness and long winded speaking style. Happy Holidays. Everyone's lives are difficult. Try doing something different instead of begging.
