Grin
5862  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is anyone worried how fast BTC is climbing in price? on: October 22, 2013, 10:40:41 AM
Bitcoin millionares are worried about the price, for people have small amount of bitcoins, they hope the skyrocketing last long and long.

i like this reasoning. let´s get the smallest bitcoin wallet wealthy.  Wink

5868  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might rise over 200 unexpectedly soon on: October 22, 2013, 08:07:37 AM
OP you may want to change the subject of the thread to $400 instead of $200....

Yes, in that dream the price went past 200 with no problem but the charts I got to see were 200+. It does not mean the price won't go to 400 because the message of the dream was precisely "150-200 range will be over very quickly". Thus, I can't say anything about 400 and I haven't got another dream Cheesy

However, now it is good time to recall one of my earlier btc related dreams. In that dream bitcoin's price went to 10k $ and I felt ecstasy. I hurried to the exchange to get a couple of bitcoins into fiat for my material needs. However, by the time I got to my private keys the price was already in the range of 100k - 1000k and I felt positive panic to get to the exchange even faster. Turned out that the price was in a bubble and by the time I got to the exchange it had already corrected itself but was still out of Earth's orbit (100k+ $ prices). That dream however said nothing about dates and the main message was panic and ecstasy Tongue We're still waiting for it to come true.

i guess you saw the light ! let´s make btc a religion & you are the first priest.

Today 7 days after this dream we can already say that we've reached 200 and indeed it was unexpectedly fast. I now believe that sometimes I see future in my dreams. Cool

well done hyena, nice job.

and now... could you please go to bed and keep dreaming ?!???!!
5872  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: October 21, 2013, 11:44:14 PM
It's on its way too moon, but will it last? When will the bubble explode? Smiley

There isn't a bubble, there is an expanding process. btc is currently an insignificance globally. That's obviously lost on those who eat, breath and sleep bitcoin but that's just the uncomfortable truth. At the moment it's mostly caught in a circle jerk propped up by mining, with hardware, energy and speculation driving prices up. Until it gets into real market places, globally, and a proper price discovery mechanism kicks in then it's anyone's guess what it's true value is.

What I find confusing is how some seem obsessed with measuring its "value" in filthy corrupt fiat. A symbol of the stinking cess pit of corporate corruption, captured government and their theft of public wealth the world over, using all but worthless bankster wealth transfer tickets trading on little more than a psychotic faith in an unsustainable, not quite broken (yet) system, and the obscene debt slavery to be imposed on all those unfortunate generations yet to come.

How can something like fiat ever be used to measure something as honest and untainted as btc. Obviously the measure is valid at any point in time, but is it really a meaningful indicator? I'd have to say that until btc and fiat start to go head to head and compete for the trust of the people in the same space, it's of little use knowing what they're "worth" other than for short term speculation that btc will ultimately fail.

What matters is that btc can at some point be used as a universally accepted means of exchange for things people really need, essential goods, food, fuel & shelter. I hope it gets there one day if not shut down by the global banksters and their captured government stooges protecting their fiat extortion racket. I can't see how btc, or some subordinate equivalent, can avoid becoming the primary means of exchange for those goods and services if it can survive. That said btc is a very, very long way from that day and until it manages to get there it's not, as a concept, really worth anything much at all to the public beyond being a bit of an expensive novelty.

the leveling up of the new technology (bitcoin) with the old fashioned banking dinosaur technology will not result in the destruction of fiat currencies. if you bought bitcoin for dollars the dollars aren´t worthless after the trade. someone else owns them now. all the fiat money will get sucked into btc sooner or later, because it is profitable, and the more flows in, the more profitable it gets. perfect self fulfilling prophecy.
5873  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price on the last day of 2014: Make your prediction on: October 21, 2013, 11:32:14 PM
as soon as it shoots right through the 1000, up to almost 3000, you will start seeing why by the end of 2014 it will be heading towards 10 000
5874  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to predict crash? on: October 21, 2013, 11:18:45 PM
there are also fibonacci retracements...

How accurate is that? Have you used them in the past?

well... some people say that the 61.8 or the 38.2 fib act as resistance/support...  the 61.8 fib on bitstamp is at 177 and mtgox is 183, and we are over both of them.

but then again this market is really f--ked up so who knows, we could be pissing into the wind and not know it

What's the difference between bitcoin market and other markets? Why is that fucked up?

Bitcoin is tiny compared to most markets.  This results in way more volatility and way less liquidity.

most of all, bitcoin is a technology. not a stock. its "rate" may appear like a stock chart but pictures something completly different: adaption.
take mobile phones. cool technology, everyone wants to have it, everyone buys into it and a few company giants get incredibly rich. did anyone shout "ponzi" here? bitcoin is a cool technology. an incredibly fast growing stable network, programmable money, internet cash.... you want to be part of it ? you know what?: it´s free. it´s already there. everyone with internet access can participate within seconds. feel free to take a ride.
and indeed it will be a ride. bitcoin combines money with the net. the web gets "monetized", some bigger chunks of the economy will start to ride/exist online. the internet will become an universal tool to transfer private or public wealth.
since it had to start from small it has a direction/momentum. as a technological infrastructure it has to level up with the old technolgogy it will replace. this up-leveling is the ride you are experiencing and interpreting as stock-chart behaviour.
again, bitcoin is a cool technology, soon everyone might want to have some, just like other every technology. but this time it´s not phones, it´s our money. we will have a lot of fun, be prepared.

Cheesy
5876  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is about to explode. on: October 21, 2013, 06:26:48 PM
And?
No one will pay 1000k usd for a bottle of water.
No one will pay 1000k usd for a virtual crap that can disappear at any time.

Dude, people in Japan pay Y1,000,000 for car. Everyone's a millionaire!

When I was a kid it cost £0.10 to ride on the bus, now it costs £2.80
The house I live in cost £18k in the 1980s now it costs £150k

Inflation is an amazing thing, it's a stealth tax, it steals peoples savings without them noticing.

Bitcoin is the reverse of this.

In Zimbabwe everyone is a trillionaire. Cheesy

wow, their money rocks. reminded me of this one:

There is no way 1 BTC will be worth 1,000,000......ever...... $1,000 maybe possible but that will take a long long time....
