5881  Economy / Economics / Re: whether waste of money is the biggest disaster in the economy on: August 16, 2018, 01:19:51 AM
I have seen many people waste money for a long time and make themselves poor, is there a solution to overcome this type of person ,?
why is not invested with bitcoin?
We can't blame people why they are not investing in bitcoin(crypto) even rich people who can afford to invest but they are not open mind on this crypto business. That's the reason why poor people remain poor because they always work for money, unlike rich people they let money work for them by investing here and there.
Wasting money make people worst and make poor, they did not know what is( wants and needs ) lack of financial knowledge budgeting the money.
5882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still believe in ETH ? on: August 15, 2018, 07:36:47 PM
Recently ETH dropped below $300 , what do you think the future holds ?

Do you think it will still go below that?
I personally want to hold Ethereum because I strongly believed that the current price now as an effect of bitcoin price.

Look, Ethereum has a good technology that most ICO now used for purchasing token to their project, so I never doubt on this to hold for a long run. So, there's no reason you why you can't be seen this big opportunity made by altcoins.
5883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A man in UAE took six figure loan and lost 85% of his crypto value on: August 15, 2018, 05:40:00 PM
What a moron.

The first rule of any investment, particularly crypto, is to only invest what you can afford to lose. A loan, by definition, is not money you can afford to lose.
Yes precisely, why you need to have loan just invest in crypto that we all know the volatile situation on cryptocurrency that makes fluctuate the price value in the market. Investing is just like a gambling doesn't expect too on it if you rely on this kind of business much better have a dip study before doing that. Maybe this person didn't know the possible happen about investing cryptos.
5884  Other / Meta / Re: Connection problem error on: August 15, 2018, 03:48:24 PM
I thought that implementation of Badge System is the cause of SMF connection problem.

Seriously, I feel excited when I encounter this error LOL Cheesy It just made me think how beautiful the forum will be if there is a badge underneath the username.
The same idea as here I thought when SMF log in says that under maintenance, the thing that comes up in my mind that having again a new rule implemented. Maybe I'm too much excited for the new badges to be updated on account another rule to face here in this forum.

There was a query in the merit stats which became too slow and ended up jamming up the whole database. Possibly it was pushed over the edge by new bot activity, but no intentional DoS attack AFAICT. Or maybe my fix from yesterday's unrelated database issue degraded performance. I'll look into it more later. In any case, I think I fixed it for now.
And thanks for this clarification that everything now was fine. Thank you!

5886  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Bitcoin Legal? on: August 15, 2018, 04:26:17 AM
There are several countries that strongly prohibit bitcoin because the law is unclear, for example Indonesia is my country that is not very supportive of the development of crypto digital (bitcoin) currencies in my country if there is someone who transacts such as buying and selling homes using digital currency bitcoin will be punished I said this was not a lie because it had happened in Bali. because the Indonesian state only allows its citizens to buy houses with rupiah, the rupiah is the Indonesian currency.
I think Indonesia is not that worst in punishment even though I'm not in that country but I heard I already that they strict on cryptocurrency.
Well, as of now this bitcoin (digital money) is not clearly legal to the country, also in my country bitcoin is not stated to our government that it is illegal but they did not prohibit us to use it even there is no implementing law that it is legal.
In this case, each country has a different perspective on bitcoin (cryptocurrency) on how they adopt it into their society.
5887  Economy / Economics / Re: hackers becoming smarter than exchanges? on: August 15, 2018, 03:40:50 AM
I don't think so. there may be a small number of "bugs" in the exchange systems which allows or make it easy for hackers to hack exchange site. if hackers become smarter, I can imagine there will be many cases of big exchange hacked in every day.
People have the wrong idea that hacking happens in a matter of minutes but a big hack takes months to plan and to execute, hackers first need to find a way in, and most of the time they are going to do that with a phishing email or something similar since customer support needs to respond to people, once they get that they look for vulnerabilities and that is something that takes a lot of time, once they know what they want to do they do it and steal the coins.
I don't have ideas on hacking because I'm not one of them, well, as what you have said above probably right since there are noobs people in clicking phishing sites instead of the real one. Nowadays, these hackers may easily steal our fund from our wallet in just a couple of hours if we are not careful with our private keys. Why we get hacked if we know how to secure our private keys and avoid clicking given links.
Those big exchanges get hacked maybe when it comes there is a bug the hacker take advantage on that time they are always ready to attack and waiting for victims. A system is always hackable there is no guarantee on this to be secured.
5888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin regaining dominance? on: August 14, 2018, 08:46:46 PM
Most altcoins are created for a short period for a fast gain. Look at the coinmarketcap site, you will not recognise half of the coins there = fast turn-over. However, a little bit solid altcoins like ethereum and bcash dropped hugely so I think people are escaping to the safest alternative which is bitcoin.
many have already bought assets with very large capital when bitcoin has very low prices, and the more popular bitcoin is that many believe it and already believe in bitcoin, therefore bitcoin still dominates even though prices are very low.
Because they think that bitcoin was is the safe zone of investing rather than other altcoins, and they switch their altcoin to bitcoin.
The market makes worst in bitcoin price because of the dollar when the trader wants to exit and convert all of the funds he/she had then bitcoin is really affected. That's why bitcoin now is regaining dominance and it was obviously right because altcoin depends on bitcoin price.
5889  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tighten your seat belts and hodl the bulls are coming. on: August 13, 2018, 04:58:05 PM
The bulls are on the way and we should hold as I have find it difficult to find out that bitcoin may not fall below $5,500 as it seen very difficult to fall below that level.  The bull we find opportunities to buy and push the bitcoin upwards any moment from next month.
The start of BER month might be what we really hoped for, too many already sell their investment due to continuous fall of crypto, but we just need to put more trust and patience n coins we do hold.
Well, hopefully by month on December the price will be fine and hit the highest price in the market and this month all holders expected that bitcoin will be raising up. So, yes tighten up and hold your seat belt and never gonna think just like a panic seller that make market worst ever.
And I think ETF rejection is not connected with bitcoin price since bitcoin was found is there like ETF before existed?
5890  Other / Meta / Re: Why locking threads which are actually helpful? on: August 13, 2018, 03:13:42 PM
I think that those threads were locked because technically they are not about Bitcoin.
Dabs pinned this thread on local: Non Bitcoin Posts/Threads will be Deleted.
I really appreciated all post of theyoungmillionaire in our forum there's a lot of ideas and sharing guidelines especially to the newbies on our local board. All of these post I was learned a lot about the forum policies regarding merit system.
BUT, Dabs was pinned a post that I quoted above that these are Non-bitcoin related probably that's the reason why mate mods locked those useful threads and as what jacee stated above that all of these posts were not related on bitcoin topic.

Well, I keep my eyes open on this thread since I am a member on this local board and let's wait for other staff here replies.

Edited:

Even I l ike to agree that those mentioned threads are off topic (although I don't), why still those non sense topics remained opened in the section?

Id rather see those mentioned threads opened and those non sense topics (e.g listed below) to be locked.

EPIC MOMENTS
Mga linya ng mga Pilipino tungkol sa bitcoin
Sana mabago ng crypto buhay ko XD
Bitcoin 2017

..and many threads that just recently made.
Yes, it's must be deleted too and to be fair IF that is not bitcoin topic related.

How many weeks I did not visit on this Filipino local board, sad to say that, a good topic created by these good posters was locked by mods.
5891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours a day are you spending on online gambling? on: August 12, 2018, 04:39:15 PM
I was just thinking how much time people spend on gambling sites on a daily basis? I bounce back and forth between work

and household activities, but in my spare time, I like to chill with a beer in hand and doing some casual gambling. I do this

while watching TV, so it is part of my entertainment time.  Wink  Do you think, time spend on gambling is linked to gambling

addiction? Let's discuss this.  Wink

Edit : If you spend less than 1 hour on gambling, please chose option 1.  Wink
I hardly ever spend even one hour on the online gambling because I am very busy in my business life and also running the family. Lips sealed

But when I have free time I will involve in gambling for much time like upto 5 hours like once in a month or two not on daily basis.
Majority choice is 2-5 hours in gambling which is I also did when I have free time or especially on weekend. Were the same here mate I never play gambling if my time is not free or I have a lot of jobs to do from other businesses.

Playing less than 1 hour for me is not enough I didn't enjoy gambling if just a minutes only. To have a good catch in gambling I played 1-3 hours mostly on weekend. Yes, I considered gambling for me is just like having entertainment while you are relaxing.
5892  Economy / Economics / Re: Bear trap or bull trap? on: August 12, 2018, 07:53:10 AM
Are we going to Saturn or will cryptos reach only the moon?
Sorry for that mate as of now our skyrocket can't going to the moon there are many obstacles in our spaceship before landing to the moon, there is ETF implemented and also whales trying to manipulate market price. I think it is a bull trap for us there are many rumors here that at this month bitcoin price was down a lot. But the thing we expected at the month of December for sure bitcoin will go to the moon. Hopefully.
5893  Economy / Speculation / Re: I confirm my forecast - $100k by 2019 for 1 BTС on: August 12, 2018, 05:37:52 AM
$100k by 2019 for 1 BTС

Hey! Cheesy
Now I will write for someone a shocking thought. Back in December 2017, I wrote that by 2019 the price of the first coin would be about 100,000 dollars.
However, at that time there was a "bullish" December.
However, and now I confirm my previous forecast - $ 100,000 (+/- 20,000) in 2019 for 1 BTС

Now, let me remind you, the price of a Bitcoin equals "only" 6500

Let this message "stay" here. Only 4 months left.
And what do you think about it?
Thank you!
#Bitcoinprice2019

I believed that the price of Bitcoin will not reach that much because for me the more Bitcoin will become more expensive it will be much expensive to purchase too in which the people who are majority belong to the small time investors will be force to shift to altcoins as much cheaper to purchase  for an investment. Therefore for me the highest bid will be $20,000 in which it will be possible within 4 months from now.
Last year it reached the price at $10,000, I don't think so if this year doubled the price in the year 2017. This speculation is impossible to happen at this early year maybe it takes 3-4 years from now before it is hit the price of 100k USD. But we expected that this month of December bitcoin will be raising up and hopefully even it reach the $50k in the highest price in the market.

Who knows we all don't know the market cap price movement.
5894  Other / Off-topic / Re: Administrator, Moderator, Donetor Profile Here on: August 11, 2018, 06:25:23 PM
A useless topic fishing Smerits
Maybe, because I saw misinformation on OP post there is a lot of staff here that not mention above.

But I like the idea of OP post if this is a complete information with the exact location where the staff moderator for.
I didn't find a thread like this giving information about our staff here in the forum, but I think this thread has a lack of information that needs to update in OP. I want to know if there is a thread like this.
5895  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How has your experience been with Binance? on: August 11, 2018, 04:46:26 PM
Binance continues to increase its influence on the crypto market.

What is it working for you?
Any complaints?

So far in Binance I have a good transaction their I felt safe on my stock there because there's an email verification if you are going to withdraw your fund which a very safe to the users and also makes them comfortable when they have transactions. Having a great interface is one of the costumer like on Binance exchange. They are a very professional exchange that's the reason for people choice exchange aside from high volume in the market. One thing traders like those transactions are not delayed.
5896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To quit gambling is to quit yourself on: August 11, 2018, 08:44:09 AM
Gambling is a addiction bad addiction. Few days ago I see a user lost 65BTC and another user 30BTC amd another user 12BTC in a dice site. All those user lost huge huge within 24 hours.

But even if we say that it is a bad addiction, a lot of people are still gambling despite the fact that it will really bring you down to the pit. Regret and depression is one of the most popular effect of gambling to people.

Also, these gambler might be rich so they have nothing to worry about those losses. We don't know what they are thinking losing that great amount to the site but all we know is that they had lost and it is hard to get that back.
Because people are usually rich from gambling, in the end the wealth will also run out in gambling, which is why they continue to gamble despite losing a large amount. Unlike the case if you are only looking for targets in gambling, if you are able to control emotions then after you reach the target you will stop, but if your emotions increase and cannot be controlled then you will become a gambling addict too.
Who's familiar here in STEPHEN HAWKING, I remember that article state about human greediness. He says that Humans Are Still Greedy, Stupid and the Biggest Threat to Earth. Just like gambling, there are no limitations to their emotion even though they have reached their targets profit they still continue in gambling. And a high possibility of lose when you more chasing in money of gambling, when you are in addiction it is hard for you to control your self and don't let happen this thing.
5897  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What's the best cryptocurrency wallet that you can trust? on: August 11, 2018, 08:00:17 AM
What's the best cryptocurrency wallet that you can trust?

For me, most trusted is
1. coinbase.
2. localbitcoins ( well lately not keep here )
Literally those you said were not wallets, they were online wallet so which is not much trustable because we don't control the private keys.So the hardware wallets are considered as most trusted when compared to other kind of wallets but it will cost a little bit or electrum maybe trusted enough when we compare coinbase.
Agreed on this, definitely yes online wallet is not a wallet I used these wallets if I'm going to convert my bitcoin into cash but it is not intended for storing for in a long-term for your bitcoin. I have trezor a hardware wallet much safer than these online web wallets. Here in our country, there is a wallet that is very convenient to use and easy to convert a cash you can also easily trade your coins into selected coins like ETH and BCH. But I never hold my bitcoin into this wallet because they are the one who held my private key.
5898  Economy / Economics / Re: Has Crypto Changed? on: August 11, 2018, 05:11:51 AM
The situation of cryptocurrency which in my opinion has changed, it is true that nowadays more and more people know about cryptocurrency but at this time too many new coins have emerged, this is what made the situation of cryptocurrency began to change.

And in this sense people are using cryptos as a new way of fraudulent act so it's not far to happen that some people perceive this negatively. Seemingly, cryptos are a little bit far from what it been before but it develop in a bad way as more and more shitcoins are born and only few are really worthy. Just a sad truth.
Because they are abusing cryptocurrencies of getting more profit, they know that it is a very trend for all people to have a huge profit and those having a fraudulent activity they easily catch the noobs and weak crypto holders. If these activities will continue the image of crypto will down and many investors afraid of those projects scam. So, expectedly happen KYC is implemented for all project had and begun to regulate crypto.
5899  Economy / Economics / Re: Managing and engaging investor community is important on: August 10, 2018, 06:20:39 PM
Crypto market is hard! For investors as well as developers. I have seen credible projects with a great team and great idea crumble due to a weak marketing which led to further delays. The investor community needs to be timely engaged in the project.
Oleg Ivanov, Co-Founder of Crypto Bazar talks about this at International Blockchain Congress. Give your comments down below, experiences or case studies.

Discussion

What a lousy project if it is weak in marketing, it is very important to a project the marketing has a system to manage and that much better if it is organized well by the marketing team. Those having ads to make an exposure on the project has a big impact on the sales of a project to make succeed. Investors most engage if that project has very well known in social media having ads and commercial.
5900  Other / Meta / Re: 95% redundant posts. Research bitcoin before posting on: August 10, 2018, 05:04:46 PM
I think mostly the reason is that signature campaigns sometimes are requiring 15 posts per week, and people just need to put something in order to get there steaks(STAKE) so this is the source of all those pointless replies and posts.
This is a good suggestion to have a fewer shit poster and redundant open topics that how many times had already discussed on mega thread section. But there are some companies want's to have many posts from signature campaigns just to have more exposure to their company name in the signature campaign. As what I have observed those people having a spam post are newbies and some of them copy paster.
