any great coin to invest?which coin will go up in value?

The coin that has the most active development behind it, the largest community supporting it and comes closest
to reaching parity with its ATH (all time high) price. Its also the coin that isnt afraid to change name when it needs to.

edit : oh darn, vennali beat me to it  Tongue

Wow look at that rise of Dash, 12% increase over the last 24 hours

and it just keeps that rank 4 on http://coinmarketcap.com/ too, the market seems to really like Dash.

Its like nothing can get this coin down anymore, not the long dead posts that desperate trolls keep bumping up from ages ago
and certainly not any trolls posting pathetic looking posts like ''Does EVAN DUFFIELD regret instamining DRK/DASH at 100x emission?''
or ''we should contact the authorities!!''.

Oh well, i guess its business as usual for Dash + one sweet looking development teaser concept :

edit : oh uhm.. carry on guys with this thread, i'm sure it matters to someone ... somewhere .. in a galaxy far far away

Please provide links to those MNs that are still getting payments. It's my understanding that it isn't supposed to work that way. As for the bad-acting miners, they get about 48 hours of extra money once every couple of months. Not a big deal IMO.

https://dashninja.pl/mndetails.html?mnpubkey=XtKaWTPjdkyXx98xVYvTq22fQ5koHfmpsK It's an example, and not a lonely one Smiley

Regarding the ability of these miners to get some extra buck at every protocol updated (skipping, in the process, some of the legitimate receivers) believe me, can be a blocker for big investors.

thats very weird and definetely needs some looking into by the dev team...

So what should we do? Smiley

Give the dev team some time to catch up with this forum, Evan normally replies personally to these kind of questions and monitors this thread
or you can create a post on https://dashtalk.org/  if its getting drowned in here ...

Self-sustainable Decentralized Governance by Blockchain : a 100% decentralized system powered by the masternodes and based on their voting mechanism where budgets are set and paid directly from the blockchain.

i like the concept, it demonstrates how serious this project has become both for the dev team and towards investors. Also it shows foresight in tackling some of the
problems Bitcoin is currently struggling with (organising funding and development in a structured decentralised way).

i tried to read all the reply posts, i honestly tried but halfway through i got depressed from reading
all these low quality troll comments and decided to use my time better.

to OP : next time please do some investigation into the coin you are trying to discredit, would save us all
a lot of time and energy reading throughts these posts.
5891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Dash realistically compete with bitcoin on: April 18, 2015, 03:31:12 PM
OP : Could Dash realistically compete with bitcoin ?

My thoughts : Dash could compete with bitcoin if the lead developer of Dash truly did find a way to make Dash more scalable as discussed here :

https://dashtalk.org/threads/rebranding-and-scalability.4254/
date : march 9, 2015

Evan Duffield, lead developer of Dash :
Quote

After giving it some thought, I came up with a scalable architecture that supports billions of transactions per day.

Specifications of this strategy:

•The blockchain will automatically become much more anonymous than Bitcoin is.
•Fees per transaction will be very, very low. Let the micro-payment revolution begin.
•Zero-centralization
•Scalable to billions of transactions per day
•Requires a 2-tier network
•Very low blockchain bloat

I make no promises about this idea working though, I’m very early in the research stages, but it does look quite promising. If it works, it means we have solved the ultimate problem with Bitcoin and have made this technology accessible to the whole world. This strategy is just too good to let sit for very long and I need to do some exploratory coding to prove it works.

I have a feeling we will learn more about this soon ...

following links to Dash block-explorers dont work anymore :

http://explorer.darkcoin.io
http://explorer.dashpay.io
http://explorer.darkcoin.qa/chain/Darkcoin

only working link :

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/

any chance on restoring the above not-working links ?

edit : just found out that ''http://explorer.dashninja.pl/address/YRMNPUBKEY'' can also be used to fetch info so i dont have a problem anymore
(i needed one of the block explorers to fetch transaction data for me and chainz.cryptoid.info gave me problems but with explorer.dashninja.pl
its all good now).

correct me if i'm wrong but it looks like BTC version 0.10 is also getting integrated into Dash version 0.12.0 (i guess thats what Vertoe pointed towards with his link, i didnt notice it that quickly) : https://github.com/dashpay/dash/commits/v0.12.0.x
Something to look forward to on Testnet at some point .. hopefully soon  Grin

edit : specially looking forward to the syncing headers first that bitcoin got implemented with version 0.10, should make syncing really fast for Dash

From bitcoin version 0.10 release changes : https://bitcoin.org/en/release/v0.10.0

Quote
Faster synchronization

Bitcoin Core now uses ‘headers-first synchronization’. This means that we first ask peers for block headers (a total of 27 megabytes, as of December 2014) and validate those. In a second stage, when the headers have been discovered, we download the blocks. However, as we already know about the whole chain in advance, the blocks can be downloaded in parallel from all available peers.

i dont think there is any coin out there that has this ... this is very impressive just from a security point alone.

Actually, crowning actually brought this over from LTC. I wonder why it wasn't already here since we were originally an LTC fork.

https://dashtalk.org/threads/v0-11-2-x-testing.4202/page-37#post-50915

i doubt Litecoin ever had an automatic wallet backup system, i just read it as a period when crowning needed to do a lot of intensive backups
which inspired the idea of this automatic wallet backup now ... but i could be wrong, i have been out of touch with Litecoin.

Can't wait until after April 15th.  If this drop in cryptos is caused by tax day, then hopefully things will start to look up again later this month?? LOL

Wow, do I read that correctly?  On Bitfinex, someone dumped 20,000 bitcoins, over 4 million dollars worth?  I'm flabbergasted!  I mean, on the 4 hour chart, it might be one person, might be a lot, but it's surely a huge amount!

appearently it triggered some longs (or a lot of longs) getting margin called .. thus excellerating the dump
