I get a little nervous when MSM starts actually turning pro-bitcoin. I always think, "Why are they suddenly promoting it? What's in it for them?"
Congratulations for being the only non-idiot in the thread. ... blahda blahda blah... xhomerx10 chuckles to himself in an idiotic manner as he watches r0ach out himself as a member of the idiot club.

Is there a tax haven for people that work online!
1 Easy and cheap to receive a residence permit! 2 0% tax 3 nice wheater 4 easy to change your bitcoin to money on the bank! 5 No need to invest in anything so just renting a airbnb!
Are you a US citizen? If this is the case, then no to question 2 unless you renounce your citizenship first. If you are a citizen of Andorra you pay no income tax and there is no VAT (yet - they are being pressured by the EU). Hope you like skiing though ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Monaco is a tax-free haven for the uber-rich. Depends how many Bitcoins you have I guess... but if you need to work online, I'm guessing you aren't uber-rich.

Hello,
is it normal after 2 days and 99.5% prob to do not find anything? Or Am I simply unlucky?
Yes and presently yes. Are you looking for only one prefix or are you using a list? Lists make better use of your processor time. I need only 1 specific address that starts with 1+7 chars. 99.7% now :| 29 Mkey/s is a good result for a R9 280x? (Yes it's fucking hot in my room since 2 days.) That's pretty good for the R9 280X. You could probably tweak the voltage downward so it uses a few less watts; it might keep the room a little cooler too. Hope your luck improves!

Hey guys, have you guys found any easy sites to purchase bitcoin cash using US Dollars? I'm considering buying some if prices drop into the $100s. I think there is some potential there while everyone is dumping it as fast as they can. There doesn't seem to be any easy ways to purchase yet
You can buy BCH on several exchanges with USD; the real problem will likely be withdrawing the coins. https://www.bitcoincash.org/ click on exchanges Thanks for this.. I didn't know there was a bitcoincash.org already up and running. What are your thoughts on BCH...have you claimed all yours yet? I don't plan on dumping them all like it seems like the majority of the people here are going to do. I'm definitely a non-techie, so I don't want to screw things up while claiming my BCH, so I have been waiting for more stability and more success stories of people being able to claim them. I think that both have a really good chance at making it long term. We are literally only 6 days into the creation of BCH and people are already calling it dead (I don't understand that point of view). The ability to withdraw the coins should obviously as time goes on. I'm still definitely buying some if everyone dumps the price down to $100 or below... I didn't dump all of mine but I sold a couple. I don't expect all of the miners to move to BCH but my fear is that if I dump, then the miners will move to BCH out of spite for me. Yeah... it's a stretch. The only investment advice I ever give is "don't do what I do"! I don't think it's dead. A lot of people will dump to convert to Bitcoin but once that supply dries up, there's probably room for it to move upward again.

Can you mine Scrypt with the Gekko Science 2pac or just SHA-256?
Any info would be great.
Spiritminer
Here's a copy of the BM1384 spec sheet: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F9MEC7Lq.png%3F1&t=663&c=UXiRQssBu_gBww) The BM1384 is the ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) chip used in the production of the GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer By the way, that's the end of section 1.2 and there are no other applications listed.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Still hanging in over $3kUSD/4kCAD basically going sideways at $3259USD (Bitcoinaverage) while Altcash continues to slide down to $208USD. As difficulty drops on the Altcash network, transactions will speed up, allowing more people to dump their free altcoins while they can still get something for them. Let's see what segwit brings. Many voted for bitcoin price to reach $3,500+ by the end of this month but my prediction something might go over 5000 $+ + because it is going very fast while everyone else holding .
Many of us voted $3500 because it was the highest option available in the original poll and you can't change your vote. The last 2 options were added after it burst past $3000 a couple if nights ago. realice dos transacciones, una en bitcoin core y otra en cash. We're not blindfolded; it's just that few people here really give a shit about BCH.

Mine is pretty epic. Way back around 2011, I discovered bitcoin. It was $50 a coin. I thought about buying a dozen or so, but I thought, "Nah, this is a fluke, its a scam, the price will probably go way down." 2 weeks later, it hit $1200. Ugh. *Palm to forehead!*
Now, I look back, and if I bought those dozen bitcoins for $600, my BTC would be worth around $36k.
Point? Sometimes you gotta take risks.
What was your worst cryptocurrency blunder?
CryptoDoll
In 2011 Bitcoin never got much above $20. It went sub $5 again in 2012. The last time the price was $50 would have been March 2013 and it took about 7 months until the price of Bitcoin hit $1200 in November 2013. So, you had 2 years to act at sub $50 and failed to do so! Don't sugar coat your blunder ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Ah well, if you had acted, what would you have done with $36k?

Well, how are you going to do whale-like trading without keeping whale-sized numbers of coin on an exchange?!
This quote might be sarcasm, but with $3.5m in Bitcoin you don't need to do any trading...just let it sit there! To say that it's frustrating to watch the US claim jurisdiction over this case is the understatement of the year. But what's not being discussed is why the countries who do have jurisdiction in this case (i.e., Russia, Greece, New Zealand, others?) are so willing to allow the US to assume jurisdiction. US agencies can't operate so openly without the permission of the local countries. Perhaps the only exception is the internet and only because the US can hack and control whatever site they want...and they don't need some country's permission to do so. The internet is still the wild west...it's like operating in the ocean...there are no borders. Well, you and I don't need to do any trading but a BTCaller's gonna BTCall. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FVNoIhmA.jpg&t=663&c=nGiSMX8I78NOag)

He is not the only one. Thousands of people lost lots of money. Everyone in the trollbox had to have at least $1,000 to chat. I heard a huge whale from Dubai lost millions. Apparently he had 3.5 million on the site... why would anyone keep such an amount there is beyond me. I just hope everyone gets their refunds in due time, but it seems unlikely at this point. Well, how are you going to do whale-like trading without keeping whale-sized numbers of coin on an exchange?!

BCH Price under $200 at the moment.... and most BCH coins have not seen an exchange yet
snip
snip snipCan anyone tell me how many BCH coins have moved in past 7 days (suppose bitcoin days destroyed would spike though, as people would be moving coins from wallets as they are exposing private keys to claim their BCH) Here's a chart from Cryptocompare.com. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F0FGPall.png&t=663&c=rOomfQL12s1x2A) Volume data shown is hourly for 5.5 days (ending at noon EST today) so let's pick an average line through the data (I'm calling it 13k). 13,000 BCH/hr X 5.5days X 24 hrs/day = 1,716,000 BCH So a little over 1.7 million it appears (based on my ever-so-in-depth research) *results may vary

In case people didn't noticed it, i need test bitcoins ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) 153 people noticed. Few if any of them will have testnet Bitcoins. In case you didn't read the rules of the board, you shouldn't be bumping your thread yet; you should wait 24 hours between bumps.

I have been observing the BTC and BCH price and the hashrate all day today and I found this interesting correlation between BTC and BCH: BCH has about 6% of hashrare of BTC and so as its price to BTC' price.
The prices of BCH and BTC are about $210 and $3234, respectively, at this moment. Whereas the hashrate is 24 petahash for BCH and 378P for BTC. Both of the price and the hash ratio are around 6.3% to 6.5%.
Let's see if this ratio relationship, BCH price/BTC price = BCH hash/BTC hash, will continue to hold for at least a few days.
Six percent seems about right but where did you get the hashrates you quoted? Bitcoin has been over 6 Exahashes/s since July of this year; the 378P number is at least 2 years old.

I currently have 15 Bitcoins. They are held here:
5 on Coinbase 5 on Blockchain.info wallet 5 in Cold Storage
It seems I will get 5 BCH from Coinbase on 1/1/18 but will I be getting 10 more BCH from my other two methods of securing the other 10 BTC?
Scroll to the top of this window. See the words " News: ALL CLEAR: You can now..."? Read that and you will be enlightened.

You are correct. Random noobs on this forum INCORRECTLY stated that the only valid game theory path was to dump BCH (think it was derived from some nonsense Szabo fabricated). He made the error of assuming you're required to keep one token at all. The real optimal path is to dump both of them in event of rough consensus attack. If you refuse to dump both for whatever reason, then the optimal path to try and minimize loss would just be to hold all of them.
I like and own several other cryptocoins, and still I consider BCH a joke of a shitcoin. Yea well, I consider bitcoin a useless shitcoin compared to physical silver coins, but holding bitcoin has been more profitable recently. Come on r0ach, recently? You can't be serious. Don't make me break out the 6 year chart. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FiDHmzu0.png&t=663&c=Nmf7_56lZjPe8g) I've been hating on silver ever since I bought my coins. They are nowhere near as exciting as Bitcoin.
