Make a new account or use the tor browser, the only way the stalker could keep tracking you then is if they were a hacker in which case you can call the police about it.

yeah when you rent the hashpower it mines other coins using the same SHA-256 protocol Bitcoin does, I wish they'd rent out scrypt hashing Sad and minifrij is right, from what I can gather it doesn't do anything to your hashrate.
5905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin does not work for porn on: December 31, 2013, 10:06:16 AM
You do realise that the problems you describe are a result of people trying to take other peoples' money without their consent? Maybe Bitcoin isn't the problem and porn companies just need to be more honest about how they charge people, you're seeing plenty of Bitcoin webhosts etc. popping up that do recurring payments and all they do is just send you an invoice rather than try to steal your money which is the way it should be.

I've been on the receiving end of the type of behaviour you've described from games companies, particularly SOE who tried to charge to the card I was using without my knowledge, the problem like with most things Bitcoin is with the users rather than the actual code itself.

5907  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2013-12-30] Paul Krugman: "Come on guys, I've been joking since 1998" on: December 31, 2013, 09:14:48 AM
Paul Krugman is a government loyalist and all he's doing is making very snide apologies in order to try and keep his credibility amongst his peers so he doesn't look like a total dick to them. He probably thought he could get away with attacking Bitcoin like he did and didn't expect their to be so much backlash over his comments, you see this with a lot of the public figures out their who don't have any experience with the internet.

Yeah, one more thing, if you've looked at his videos rather than the written stuff you'll find that smug arrogance is sort of his thing, I find he's very much like Ben Bernanke in that respect and he gets worse the more wrong he is as for Paul Krugman being a possible troll? Yeah, maybe, but Bitcoin don't give a shit Cheesy
5908  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Revenge of China for drop bitcoin. Project Shitboy. on: December 30, 2013, 10:15:04 PM
If hackers had the resources to attack China then they'd just do it, they wouldn't need Bitcoins or they'd be involved in Bitcoin anyway and be able to secure their own funding.
5909  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2013-12-29] New York Times (Paul Krugman's blog) : I was joking + ubernerd on: December 30, 2013, 08:45:26 PM
lol TraderTimm you sound like you're speaking from experience Tongue
5910  Other / Off-topic / Re: 3D printing is overrated? on: December 30, 2013, 05:15:43 PM

4. "Just buy a car"?  We're talking about stuff like classic cars.  You don't "just buy" one of them.

You can't buy classic cars?

People also make their own kitcars from scratch, so 3d printing is just taking it to the extreme.

People like you need to just watch a documentary or two about how something is built, just dismissing 3D Printing technology especially if it involves metal is pretty hilarious, for mass production people have had to rely on wax moulds and the like which can be pretty pricey in itself so just being able to make stuff from a 3D model would decrease the costs massively.
5911  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A lot rides on the way the USA is going to go. (Politics split) on: December 30, 2013, 04:54:14 PM
lol I don't have anything against public nudity but I would think twice about talking to people who are into it or taking part in it, I'm just not into exhibitionism Tongue
5912  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS - Manga, Cabochon Necklaces - 3 Necklaces in stock on: December 30, 2013, 03:37:40 PM
Just bumping the thread to let you guys know about the new poll I've said up I'm getting through the manga in chunks now and adding colour as well as double checking everything and fixing up any problems I see and I want some proper feedback from the community on how they think digital products should be priced. I'm certainly veering towards the idea of releasing the manga as pay what you want and just letting people download it however they choose which would mean much more free advertising for me but I'm also not about to go and charge anything ridiculous like $30+ for 1 volume. I guess I'm just going to have to do with indie game developers have done and just throw it out as an experiment to see what happens.

Please vote in the poll as this data will actually help me make choices about the way I sell my products!

For those who don't know if I did pay what you want I would put the manga up on the main website for download and place a pay button and then you can enter in any amount you want to pay for the item rather than a fixed price, this will also tell me whether or not people would be willing to pay for the manga at all.
5913  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: Predict the 2014 all-year low on: December 30, 2013, 01:16:10 PM
Anything could happen, but I don't think it's going to be as bad as some people try to make out.
5914  Other / Off-topic / Re: 3D printing is overrated? on: December 30, 2013, 12:49:48 PM
In it's current state it isn't very impressive but the idea is that once the technology gets advanced enough and people experiment more you'll be able to make all sorts of extremely difficult to construct and small or big components that would normally take months to build properly and with quite a lot of people or machinery. It's probably going to have the same affect as using robot arms etc. to build cars had on the motor industry which is why people are so excited about it.

I'm not going to be watching it too closely myself until I see the 3D metal printing building the components for a jet fighter and halfing the costs for a lot of the big vehicles out there, I've already seen showcases for Jewellery pieces that have been made through 3D Metal Printing.
5915  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A lot rides on the way the USA is going to go. (Politics split) on: December 30, 2013, 10:47:15 AM
I hate them all ffs lol there's nothing more irritating for me than censored porn especially considering my thing for asian girls lol, that said in defence of the Japanese apparently the porn censorship was done as a result of American occupation but I'd have to double check that pretty much all countries in the world seem to have some kind of silly paranoia against letting people see a naked body in public and yet they're totally okay with scaring the shit out everyone by constantly posting murder and rape stories hmmm >_> Cheesy.
5916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm chinese, I want to tell you the truth. on: December 30, 2013, 08:51:06 AM
Mtgox used to be one of the only exchanges for Bitcoin back in the day and that problem was fixed.
5917  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you do in stagnant markets? on: December 30, 2013, 08:44:45 AM
I am so grateful that adblock takes away images as well lol Tongue Yey! The markets are coming back to life now! Should be interesting when next year gets back to normal and January starts properly.
5918  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A lot rides on the way the USA is going to go. (Politics split) on: December 30, 2013, 08:31:44 AM
I think it would be "more free" if you could see nipples  Cheesy

I was just going to say but you beat me to it, the censorship of the body etc. is a classic example of western hypocrisy Tongue
