5941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A new survey shows that UKs gambling addiction is getting worst day by day. on: May 20, 2020, 11:30:08 PM

It’s also worth mentioning that the report further claims that around 3.6 million people were effected due to someone’s else gambling problem, though I don’t understand how would they be effected by someone’s else gambling problems?.

I am possibly this statement means is the breadwinner of the families have some gambling addiction that affected the whole family income in some way. that's not hard to understand though when you suppose to buy that money for your daily needs and the needs of your children but instead, you use it for gambling. the result would be another 3.6 million people will also affect excluding the gambler himself. to be honest, it's not only men who are addicted but sometimes women has been addicted to, in some cases.
5942  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk is not doing well in Alexa rank because of the Merit system on: May 20, 2020, 11:00:25 PM
To be honest, I'm one of the user who actually found this site in Alexa in the year 2017, it was the year of ICO. many users who are spamming in this community that year got banned or got rid now by the forum moderators for good. Some of them have stopped posting because they are no longer qualified to join a certain campaign because of the lack of merits or the highest rank requirements. The reason why our Rank is falling at Alexa is due to the activeness of the moderator to clean some out of topic posts made by those spammers. there are lots of reporters lately which really help to clean this forum. Our community has improved since then, there are less out of the topic post and constructive replies are being made to avoid being report or tagged by the DT.
5943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling issues? Read this! on: May 20, 2020, 10:30:46 PM

Online doctors and psychologists won't help them who are addicted because they don't meet the addicted people face to face. They can only give advice to people who addicted from far away, but if they can meet directly, I think they can consult about the problem and figure out how to solve the addicting. When it comes to mental, I think the meet will be necessary so the doctors and psychologists can find the solution.

In my opinion, this is better than no one to talk to. the best thing in this world is when you lose everything you have or let's say you didn't get the thing you ask for you will feel distressed and lose some confidence and the first thing you need to have is someone to talk that can understand your situation. I'm really glad that we have someone like this that we can ask for instruction and advise us on what to do in the time of calamity and distress.
5944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi just moved his coins? on: May 20, 2020, 10:05:43 PM
This is not him because at that time there were already some people who mined bitcoin but not as much as it is like we have today. those BTC might be from the one who has mined it in the earlier that year. Satoshi won't give us some clue like that, that was too easy you know but that transaction is worth knowing whoever owns it just to remove doubt to the crypto community. I'm sure right not there lots or rumors about this blast from the past transactions and some people might silently tracking behind who owns that BTC.
5945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance is a good exchange but don't expect forever surge on: May 20, 2020, 09:40:25 PM
That's why we have a lot of coins to choose from and a lot of exchanges to move our coins to. All of them are competing with each other that one may be developed something that will attract a lot of users or maybe some of the exchanges like Binance have something unique that will make their users stay and invest in whatever coins they are promoting. the big difference among the exchanges is their liquidity and massive trading volume every day to gain some trust from the users you need to have these kinds of features.

It's not really permanent, especially that only unique features you have will be copied by the other and they also improved it on their exchange. some developed particular features that attract many of the investors to their platform and others have the ability to make their users stay their exchange for a long time.
5946  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best advice for Bitcoin ATH investors ?? on: May 20, 2020, 09:15:35 PM
What advice can you give those who buy Bitcoin at 19k in 2018? Because I still have friend who got in at that time, now he doesn't have the mind to sell and take his loss, what is the best advice to pass unto someone in this situation??

That's a hard choice for him though but I think your friend has a lot of options to choose that's why he thinks selling it now is not an option at all. Maybe the amount of bitcoin he bought is not that high or he doesn't really care if he loses it or not. so it's better for him to leave it there until the price will spike again just like last time. This is why we always chose to invest something that we will have no problem later on whether we lose that investment or not. Your friend is doing the right thing all you can do is cheer him up.
5947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There's something Satoshi didn't think of. on: May 19, 2020, 12:28:00 AM
Bitcoin has become an investment at first when it first created. then after the pizza thing happened, it became coins that will lead to the means of payment whoever wants to implement it in their stores. take a look at what happened, you can see that bitcoin became one of the top currency of the world and used by many big companies as a means of payment and they don't really care if the price will change like roller coaster they still accepting it till now. the good thing is, there are many of them who adopt this method as we are posting some replies to this thread.
5948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel this pressure on physical gambling? on: May 18, 2020, 11:35:03 PM

It's easier to get up and go when you are losing but when you are winning and you have valid reasons to leave, still you get a weird look from everyone as if you were stealing their money. That is what I hate most while gambling physically. And you need to buy a round of beers on each win. That makes you get nothing even when you win.

Most of the time they won't make you leave unless you have valid reasons or it will be as if the last man standing fight until all of your money or their money is gone. leaving will only result in some bad consequences and the funnier about it is when staying you will have the bad consequences too because you will gonna stay until you lose all of your money that day. the next day will probably the same for you and so on so forth.
5949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad projects equals Bad results on: May 18, 2020, 10:27:23 PM
This makes me remember Tokoin and tachyon protocol bounty campaign, after hunters are paid they made huge profits from this bounties and still the value are rising and not dumped, so my question is why are other bounties getting ruined after launch? Or after hunters sell their rewards? Probably because they are bad projects, hunters aren't to be blame here isn't it? Good projects will never dumped because hunters sell off

Some project cannot handle their losses after the big dump of their tokens by both of the investors and the bounty participants. That will lead to their project sink at the bottom forever. base on my years of experience in seeing some projects like that, they will likely remain at the bottom forever unless some of the whale's association will choose their project as a means to confuse investors of a bull run, like what happened to the hydrogen tokens.
5950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does Gambling really mean to you? on: May 18, 2020, 10:04:28 PM

1. I wanna ask you guys are there any other definitions for you about what gambling is?
2. What are/is the accurate definition of gambling on you based on the definition above?

To be honest base on my personal experience, gambling will only bring ultimate loss to the poor people because this is one of the worst addiction they can have if they don't stop playing it. because when they lose, they will just look for money to play again in any means or source. I have known some people who work as a laborer about 10 hours a day just to lose his earnings by night in gambling. the worst thing is, some of them are they also lose their source of income, they will sell everything they possess just to play again. You never know what these guys can do if they really have exposure to this kind of scenario and the last thing they do is steal some money or things to sell, just to play and again just to lose.
5951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this what's preventing wide-spread adoption? on: May 18, 2020, 09:30:19 PM
One of the reasons why blockchain technology is not being widely used in the government and business sector is because of its anonymity. Guys just don't know who's doing what and people are scared about it. Blockchain is still an unfamiliar technology when it comes to regulation. We trust the cryptography, the protocols, the software, the computers, and the network, but this trust must be embedded in larger governance systems.

There are making some developments every day that will gonna change people their perspective about blockchain technology. that good thing right now is, there are lots of courses to choose from when it comes to blockchain technologies. the next generation of students who study it will become one of the major contributors to its development in the coming years. In our country only, there are some students who manage to win some awards on blockchain technology competition. incoming years there will be lots of competition like this will occur that leads to blockchain technology become one of the trends in the world in the years to come.

5952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN HALVING now a reality !!! How is that working out for everyone ??? on: May 18, 2020, 09:07:34 PM
The spike on the price of bitcoin after its halving doesn't gonna trigger after few days from halving. instead, it will only raise if the demand for that year becomes high and the result would be the awaited bull run which will likely happen after a few months from now or the next year. What we have experiencing today is lack of confidence to wait by the investors, I think those people who sold their BTC this early is the one who are just entering the industry not too long ago, just to have a decent amount of profit.
5953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling issues? Read this! on: May 17, 2020, 11:14:28 PM
Mostly I see suicide when they are buried with loans just for their gambling habit.
They won't stop until they get it all back without paying attention to how much they owe to people.

It ain't normal. Just use what is in your pocket.
I have also seen guys pawn their gold accessories, car, and stuff they bring in casinos.
Forgot that it should just be an entertainment.

There is an incident in our capital city where a man who lost everything from gambling committed suicide. but you know what's the worst thing is, he brine some guns with him and shoot most of the people in the casinos. he kills more than a dozen people before he killed himself. this is one of the bloody incidents can happen if people lose everything in a blink of an eye. they think they just lose everything, why not lose some people with them. scary right?
5954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Reveals How much Bitcoins he Hold on: May 17, 2020, 10:51:01 PM

Do you guys realy think a 40$ Billion Networth Guy Hold only 0.25BTC?

These guys have something that we normal people don't. they can see something that will probably make aa lot of sense when they do their things like for example this one. This may be a dumb move because we know how much he could possibly earn if he invests a lot than that. but due to this person doing their own way of investing, we cannot tell that he's doing nonsense. in fact this month get to where he is by doing the things he wants. he might be just kidding when it comes to bitcoin because no matter what happens with it, there's nothing to be lost when his investment failed but seriously guys, we can learn something about this revelation the wisdom behind it might help us to understand the billionaire's perspective.
5955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small Investors are losing Bitcoin by Investing in Altcoins? on: May 17, 2020, 10:23:23 PM
Read this post and its true how small investor are losing bitcoin by investing in other coins.

You can buy 8000 tokens in 1 USD when price of bitcoin is 8000 USD but if bitcoin price will rise to 16000 USD then you can buy 16000 tokens in same price. Now all token price does not move according to BTC price,it will drop 20-30% without any sign of drop, but when you will compare with bitcoin you will find that you are in loss.

https://cryptomaa.com/btc/how-small-investors-are-losing-bitcoin-by-investing-in-altcoins/

I have known this thing since I saw the extremely volatile of Altcoins last 2018 and think about not to fully invest in it unless I fully know the coin. When you put your money on altcoins from bitcoin, expect the worst thing to come because the loss rate is higher than 50%. This were a lot of people who failed when they think they will hit the jackpot just like that and the result there are lots of them who lose their money due to their blind investment method on Altcoins.
5956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health 🤕symptoms on: May 17, 2020, 10:00:44 PM

Many people are free these days and it is easy to get addicted to gambling as gambling is easily available online. One should find other hobbies other than gambling so that he does not become addicted to it.

Hobbies that have the benefit to be precise, because if we chose some hobby that will lead to any bad thing we will end up consumed by that thing in our whole life. some people chose to build their bodies by learning the proper exercise and diet and doing the physical fitness challenge to ease the boredom of this pandemic. I think this kind of hobby will bring us a lot of benefits to getting away from the bad one.
5957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I restart a dead altcoin and continue the development?? on: May 17, 2020, 09:33:18 PM
Hi,

I see lots of abandoned crypto projects with potential and lets say I am interested in one of them and want to keep the devlopment going. What should I do to achieve that?
Do I need to talk to the creators of the project?

Looking for some insight on it.

Thanks

You might be thinking that by doing that is you gonna have the upper hand because from the start you already bought a huge amount of that Altcoin. Now I tell you this, that you will be facing a major problem here because you don't have a way to do that unless you are holding thousands of bitcoin or ETH to buy some of that Altcoin to increase its price in the market. Nevertheless, you will only have a little time to do that because when the holders saw the price spike they will flock to sold and dump all of their tokens.
5958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Third party will launch TON on: May 17, 2020, 09:14:18 PM
Too bad they are in the United States and dealing with the SEC, many projects have problems there,
it's better not to participate in the TON, because it is very risky

I agree, whether they used its name but developed by other companies if we don't see some promotions from telegram it'll be futile to invest in it. it'll be an ultimate gamble which will likely have a higher chance of losing than winning. I mean, whos gonna buy it if they don't see the benefits that they read in the roadmap anymore. There will be some confusion and I think this not gonna work at all.
5959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Private Key is missing in MyEtherWallet on: May 14, 2020, 10:43:03 AM
I get it now guys, I just need to click the print button to show my private key again. thanks for your help this answers my problems. I can now sell again some o tokens in Forkdelta without using another eth wallet.
5960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are so many people who get addicted on gambling? on: May 14, 2020, 08:47:00 AM
Because of their greed they let their greed control them that is why they are being addicted to it.

The first reason is the lack of discipline, if you are gambling that way, expect it will jut ruin your life in the long run.
Greed will kill our bankroll because we will not easily stop when we lose and if we want we always want more, gambling without direction destroys our future.

The first thing you owned by greed by playing any game in gambling whether it's your first time or not, You will this kind of feeling that you won't stop until you win big. this will make a lot of sense if it's your first time because of what you see beside you. people are winning but little you know it's their thousand tries before they won and it took them a huge number of losses before winning oddly. You will come to your senses if you realize that if you stay, you will gonna lose over and over again.
