5941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's your favorite to win this year's Champions League ? on: July 25, 2019, 07:54:24 PM
For me it'll be a thing of joy if Sarri with his style of play can successfully manage Juventus into the champions league finals and possibly end the season by winning the trophy. Juventus are my pick to win this seasons competition. I would love to see Sarri win more medals as a manager especially via champion league as wining the SerieA medal is already assured. My picking of Juventus is simply based on emotiona (Ronaldo+Sarri) if I was to pick a team based on merit then I'll go for Liverpool.
Juventus yearn for the champions league every season, and the reason is obvious, they have totally dominated the Italian seria A in the last decade, and i do not see it coming to an end anytime soon.
Juve acquired the services of Ronaldo to see if he could help bring the champions league to juve but they were upset by Ajax, juve have a way of bottling it in the champions league, I think that will continue even with sarri's arrival.
My pick for the champions league is Real Madrid.
5942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 25, 2019, 07:38:49 PM
My take on next season: Lampard won't make it until next year, Chelsea will struggle to remain in the top6 first half of the season and they'll get KO'd in the group stages of the CL. Quote me on this one, I wanna see whether I got it right or not in 5 months  :
I support you on this one, Chelsea will definitely struggle next season and it's obvious, their team at the moment isn't just up to scratch to compete with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, spurs, this teams would definitely top Chelsea on the table, they'll have to settle for 4th place and below.

Chelsea would make it past the ucl group stages, but winning the trophy is hardly possible.
As for Lampard, I think he'll be giving till next season, then he can arrange his team and sign players of his choosing.
5943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 25, 2019, 07:06:53 PM
I don’t see where Bale goes from here, Zidane seems to really dislike him. Real fans have never taken to him even though he’s been a massive part of their recent success. It depends what Bale wants, if he wants to stay in Europe he’ll probably have to take a big pay cut to go to another team.
Gareth Bale is surely not in Zidanes plans for this season, and if you judge with Zidanes first spell as manager you'll see how bale was relegated to the background and left out of numerous games, I think if bale stays, that'll be the same fate for him.

So many teams would be happy to have bale, but not at the fee he currently earns at Madrid, I think united were once interested in him, let's see the team he goes to.
5944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is future really bitcoin?> on: July 24, 2019, 05:21:27 PM
Why is bitcoin considered the main one and its price not crashing from the threat of these other more equipped coins?
I wouldn't mind if you give us a comprehensive list of the coins you claim are better equipped than the bitcoin, as far as I know, no alternative coin has the capability to compete with the bitcoin, no alt is even a threat to bitcoin.
Bitcoin is the main coin because it's the first, most stable, has the highest value and is the top of the cryptocurrency coins.
5945  Other / Meta / Re: Users that you should merit on: July 24, 2019, 04:39:27 PM
I am fairly certain you have never merited me before. But I can't easily check on my mobile device. But if you did merit me it's probably only 1 or 2 merit and I think deserve more...
Suchmoon hardly gives less than four merits at a go Grin, he's adopted the "4" trademark.
People can get merits for funny posts in WO. Yes, human need to smile and funny posts serve its role to help people have funny moments. Hence, such posts deserve merits.
And I do not see anything wrong with it at all, giving merits is subjective, and if a user finds a post funny, comical, interesting and whatever or however it catches their interest, giving out merits isn't wrong at all, doesn't matter the thread it is.
5946  Other / Meta / Re: Moderator banned Legendary member. Want to know the reason on: July 24, 2019, 04:25:29 PM
Seems to be a copy and paste:
It's an unintentional copy paste I think, he tried to share the news. The link is available in kirreev070 post, the text is the same in the link also. Without link, it's certainly a copy-paste, but it would be better to give him a certain period ban if this is the only copy paste found.
If he or she was trying to share the post, all that needed to be done was to quote and post it, that way it'll come as a quoted message of kirreev070, I do not think it's unintentional, you may never know though.

And you notice how the link in @kirreev070's original posts was changed with "Good days are coming" Huh
5947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt physically-settled bitcoin futures a dead born baby? on: July 24, 2019, 06:23:25 AM
...you cash in on the price drop and then sell for profit, when the factual news hits the market and the price recovery takes place.  Grin
Lol, this strategy is in every way viable and profit-geared, and it's one investors can always look to adopt because with the bitcoin, the rumors never seems to stop nor will it really.
How such rumors spurs people into selling and drives them into panic is what I do not understand, I for one actually pay little or no interest in all this rumors on this or that, but I'll surely love to be cashing in on it whenever it springs up Grin
5948  Other / Meta / Re: Will Merits get wasted if the account is banned? on: July 24, 2019, 06:06:59 AM
The common reason is plagiarism, or what I can always see as their excuse is they don't know it was an offense and it was an old mistake.
Most times many good posters probably started off in the forum as shit posters, and had one or two plagiarised posts, hence as they developed here and brushed up their posts, they forgot about those posts they copied and pasted at the beginning of their sojourn on the forum, and sadly if it's found, it's a permanent ban, it doesn't matter how useful they've become, the forum wouldn't bend it's rules for that, except on few occasions.
5949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You don't loose if you don't encash on: July 23, 2019, 10:27:20 PM
It is really clear enoughf that the market is always unstable and holding is really a great strategy on crypto, but people sometimes cannot control thier emotion specially when the price of the crypto coin drop. I already experience the dip last year and if i encash my asset i can surely loss that time. So i still believe in holding for a long term.
Whenever there is a dip or a hike(rise) in price, it just breeds panic among investors, the rush of whether to sell off and make profit, or to hold and see if making profits is feasible.

But technically you're correct in a way, if you still hold your coins, you have not actually incurred a loss or earned any profit.
5950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is successful? - this one statement sums it up! on: July 23, 2019, 09:30:55 PM
One of the main reason for Bitcoins to be the most successful and popular Cryptocurrency is that it's decentralised
Every cryptocurrency is actually decentralized, I think it's popularity is down to the fact that it was the first coin to be created and it has developed far much quicker and better than the rest
Bitcoin prices go up without any advertising, this shows us how popular and trusted it is among the people.
It is like the USD of Cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin adoption is taking quite a great step and that's another reason for it's success, bitcoin is now very much accepted among individuals and nations, and it's adoption continues everyday.
Bitcoin is the king of the cryptocurrency world.
5951  Other / Meta / Re: How many posts deleted will lead to temporary ban (the first one)? on: July 23, 2019, 08:25:10 PM
I meant I got bunches of deleted posts over years. It did not come to me just within one day. If it does, I am a spammer, certainly. I guess that my posts sometimes deleted because it was considered as off-topic...
Actually I think there can only be quite a few number(if any)of forum users who have never gotten posts deleted before, I've come to understand that it means nothing and doesn't even deserve a thread created for it's sake.
If it's probably about 20+ posts deleted in a day, it's probably a spamming issue and is peculiar to shit posters/spammers as you said.

5952  Other / Meta / Re: Thank you administrators for allowing us to exist. on: July 23, 2019, 05:59:49 PM
You should know that bitcointalk.org have very complicate moderation system.
Local moderators (xandry, Xal0lex) is very adequate but they have no right to ban/unban users. This is main problem when we deal with trolls and spammers or vice versa: when an useful user is auto-banned.
I do not think it's so complicated as you claim, it's just basically the delineation of duties, there are different moderators and their duty on the forum varies, it's not within the power of local moderators to ban and unban users, since that really is a complicated issue and rightly so should be handled by a few(Global mods and administrators).
5953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Judge a Book By Its Cover on: July 22, 2019, 07:58:56 PM
I agree.  The cover is usually judged by fools or children.  Because I think that everything needs to be investigated in order to give a real result or judge a project.
You actually can judge ICOs by their "cover", as they are almost certainly a scam or worth little or nothing. No matter how you investigate or scrutinize an ICO, it's sill not enough, and it's still susceptible to scam.
Altcoins are low at the moment, and I cannot blame your friends for not putting their money into this coin you're talking about, everyone just wants to get acquainted with the BTC.
5954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Imagine that you're new to crypto now on: July 22, 2019, 07:23:20 PM
Well of course I'll start looking on how to earn from cryptocurrency...
If you ask me, I do not think a newcomer should go all out to start earning right from the start, that will only leave such person vulnerable to scam and losses.

If I'm new here, I'll take my time to learn the ropes properly, read ceaselessly and little by little invest in coins that I fancy, cryptocurrency investment is very dicey and it takes a whole lot of commitment and determination.
5955  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of BTC stabilize at around $10,000?🧐🧐 on: July 22, 2019, 07:00:07 PM
but I don't think the price will fall as low aa 6K
It'll be bad if it does fall below that, it was a horrible sight and experience from early last year to few months back, when BTC price was as low as 3500-400, we all knew a rise would happen, but it took really long I must say.

Right now, the price seems to be stabilizing around 10-13k, and that's much better and we do not hope it goes below that, we can only wait and see.
5956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tim Draper Believes Bitcoin Will Change the Way We Live on: July 22, 2019, 06:48:05 PM
Recently, on July 19, Bitcoin enthusiast Tim Draper was on CNBC speaking on how the mainstream coverage of cryptocurrency has been a positive event for the crypto community in general.
Tim Draper believes that: “ it’s good to have people talk about it and thus they realize how important Bitcoin is gonna be for the planet”. He claims that Bitcoin will make the world a much better place to live in another ten to fifteen years.
What's your point of view on this?
Bitcoin/blockchain technology has already changed the lives of those who have embraced it, it doesn't matter if Draper says it or not, this network is designed to create opportunities, to educate, to enrich, empower individuals etc

And the good part is, it's yet to harness it's full potentials, I think in the next 10-20 years we'll look back and be grateful we were a part of this from the start.
5957  Other / Meta / Re: Unionize the membership. on: July 20, 2019, 09:43:09 PM
Because we got ranks and shit, let's turn this into a voting forum where we get votes by ranks and shit.
Voting system is always flawed, it only breeds corruption, it'll never be implemented here.
This way, we can coup...erm, "transfer ownership" to a good entity through "trusted" democracy....
What authority are we tryna usurp here if I may ask, I see no dictator, and democracy today is flawed likewise.
If enough of us sign a petition using a non-reputable signature, we get unionization... let's say 50% of membership, and we can do log(xxx) level, so even mods and admins get say, with a fuckton more votes.
No,no,no!
5958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 19, 2019, 02:01:07 PM
Of course, I will be very careful in watching the entire Prime Minister to her, but for me the August 11 contest between Manchester United and Chelsea will be very important.  Any predictions are still very difficult to make, since they are very strong teams, although it will be necessary to revise them in previous results.
It's such a big game just right at the beginning of the season, I do not think it's what both teams wanted though, I think they would have preferred to start off with weaker teams and gradually steady themselves for the big boys.

It's a game of bragging rights for them, with new managers for the both teams, there is quite a lot to prove in this one.
If my money is going into this one, I'll definitely be betting for a draw.
5959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Sports betting} Watch out for "professional tipsters" on: July 18, 2019, 10:56:31 PM
I’ve never bought a single tip from anybody & I don’t ever intend to. All forms of gambling hold an element of risk, you may as well just trust your own judgement & go with it. It’s certainly better than trusting somebody random on here & paying them.
It's definitely better, paying someone for doing nothing to me is foolish, most of all this tipsters make the same predictions as you and I, but they have a way of embellishing it, to make it look spectacular and out of the ordinary.

I cannot pay for tips except I'm sure it's 100% correct, but since there is nothing like that, I won't.
5960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Cup Of Nations 2019 - Discussion Thread on: July 18, 2019, 08:55:37 PM
That's almost impossible because, if the Algeria's play the so Mich game they had played since the start of the tournament they will definitely take the first.....
I do not think there is any clear favorite for the title, it's 50/50 between the both teams, but for me Senegal have a slight edge based on previous games and I think they are going home with the trophy.

I've put money on Senegal to win and I'll be backing them, I love the way the boys attack and defend as a team, it's easy for them to create chances and they give quite a few away at the other end.
They've got all the characters of champions, but Algeria is definitely a perfect match, it'll be a game to watch.
