Hi everyone,

I wasn't receiving email notifications about new posts on here for some reason and just checked this posting today...

I completely understand and agree with you all about the design, I had zero clue about this situation or where the original design came from till now.. I would of or will gladly pay him for use of the design, I just thought it was a copyright free use and downloaded the SVG file from Etsy a long time ago. It was never my intention to do anything nefarious and glad it has been brought to my attention. I will attempt to reach out to him.

Also at the present moment, due to demand and shipping costs etc etc, selling just one coaster isn't plausible for me at the moment. I hope you all understand and I'll let you know if I'm able to make that happen in the future.

Sincerely,
PBA

I have his address information as I recently sent him some free silver and there are 3 of us willing to buy. If you provided a 25% discount on a 4 pack and the other two nice folks were willing to help with shipping to Mick, I’d happily handle getting them distributed. Would do it just for Mick to get something cool in the mail… Let me know if there’s anything we can work out. Would love it if someday Mick’s house was overflowing with all the free goods people send him for using his designs. He deserves it for being a pioneer in this space.

Joel Embiid just cleared concussion protocol and is now eligible to play in game 3. It’s still likely he’ll be out because of his orbital bone fracture, but it is POSSIBLE he could return for game 3 tonight. Personally, I’m not sure I’d rush him back and risk a longer recovery time or a worse injury, but this is the moment he’s been waiting for so maybe he’ll throw caution to the wind and suit up. Whatever happens, I hope he’s able to play near his usual at some point in this series. I’d like to see the 76ers snatch a win without him to give him more time, but I’m not sure that’s possible.
5983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 06, 2022, 08:29:01 AM
With the Suns seemingly dominating the Mavericks and the 76ers without Joel Embiid, I think both series look like they could end in clean sweep victories for the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat. I’d feel pretty good betting on both games individually for the Suns and Heat to cover the spread as well as a multi-bet for them both to win. I feel like Dallas has a chance of Luka managed to take over a game but so far Devon Booker has been shutting him down. Both games will be televised on ESPN.

Sixers fans will have someone new to blame if they go out this time and that would be Harden hehe. He becomes an easy target since he's been under 25 PPG in the playoffs so far which is below what's expected of him. Expect another low scoring game for him as Celtics defense will be tight again.

I don’t think you can blame Harden for this. Without Joel Embiid and all the pieces they lost to get Harden, their offense is pretty centered about Harden and therefore easy to stop. A shame because Embiid seems to catch one bad break after another year after year when it’s his time to shine. He’s one guy that I truly hope gets a chance to play in the Finals before his prime is done. I think he would be capable of greatness, but the bizarre mental health issues with the Sixers draft picks over the years has held that team back.

Quote
In the state’s guidance, school officials are told to use gender-neutral phrases like “menstruating students” instead of “girls.” When it comes to explaining the reproductive process, teachers are instructed to tell kids that “someone with a uterus and ovaries may begin to menstruate,” instead of girls. There’s no such thing as “female hygiene products,” the toolkit argues, only “menstrual products.”

Gender neutral terms now conflating leftist politics and basic biology. Bizarre.

Your article cites this important story: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10449589/Clay-County-school-suit-update.html:

12 year old attempts suicide by hanging twice after 'months of secret meetings about her gender identity'.

This is really only the beginning. The indoctrination campaign of the left is rooted in shoving their politics down other peoples' throat, including children. It won't be years until the pendulum swings back. Woke gender theory will be viewed the same as lobotomies some number of decades from now. The only issue is how many lives will irreversibly be damaged before such nonsense stops.

I’d hate to be an elementary school science teacher nowadays. Imagine trying to teach about basic biology and chromosomes when you can’t use gender terms without some crazy parent trying to cancel you and have your livelihood taken from you. These people really are sick. Forcing this sort of thing on children, it’s hard to even imagine any reasonable person being able to come up with ridiculous scenarios why this could ever be something that’s needed. You’d have to be so brainwashed, you’re an absolute lost cause for the hope of ever having any individual thought to call your own.

I get that Liberals have lost their minds. They identify as things they can’t define, think men and women are interchangeable, and now apparently they think 6 year old boys should have the right to access free tampons provided by our public school system. I feel like I’m living in some crazy episode of a TV show where everyone has gone insane. Even the most vaccinated wrong restroom using trying to get pregnant liberal man identifying as a woman should be able to see this is nonsense. How far are we going to go to cater to this mental illness? Why are my tax dollars being wasted like this? How long before urinals are required in women’s restrooms?

Some idiot who has been trolling me for years recently left me some bullshit neutral feedback. It’s how the trust system is designed. Enough con artists got together to get control of DT and now they cast out anyone that doesn’t turn a blind eye to their abuse. It’s sad because this forum was once upheld with Libertarian beliefs, but laziness has given way to an attitude of telling people to call the cops on other forum users in order to avoid handling responsibilities of running a community. It’s sad, because some of us have been here in time now measured in decades doing work on behalf of Bitcoin but are stuck being extorted and harassed anytime someone covets something we’ve built, whether that be reputation, businesses, or just a positive working environment. Nothing will be done until the money laundering signature campaigns are removed and the scammers no longer have a financial incentive to be here and continue exploiting the system.
5988  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 05, 2022, 04:32:24 PM
Volatility has kicked it up a notch. Typically that means losses are ahead. With the Fed shrinking their balance sheet next month investors are eyeing spots to get their funds out of the market. I suspect May will be littered with bull traps for all markets as trillions of dollars in assets begin being dumped on the market. This year might be the biggest, “sell in May and stay away” example I can remember. Time will tell, but common sense is saying to sell the peaks and wait for the recession. Inflation will keep the numbers looking better than they did in 2008, but that only means it will be more difficult to escape the carnage while maintaining the value of your investments.
5989  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anti-vaxxers now drinking their own urine on: May 05, 2022, 06:32:03 AM
How about we stop labeling people and making crazy claims about them when they don't want to participate in your mental illness?
Right, because the side claiming that drinking your own urine cures everything from AIDS to cancer are the sane ones. Roll Eyes

The only person I've seen say that is you.  Seems like you're angry that you fell for the vax and now have a weakened immune response as a result so you're taking your anger out on the people who were smart enough to think for themselves.  If we're going to cast out claims, you could at least have them based in reality...  Like, you think the people who identify as women but can't define them are the sane ones?  At least that point is valid.  Yours is some made up nonsense that only an idiot liberal who believes everything the news tells them would think has any basis in reality.
5990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 05, 2022, 04:25:53 AM

Even though the odds are clear that Phoenix Suns have the advantage in their series against Dallas Mavericks, my strong will for Dallas Mavericks to win the series doesn't change. Luka Doncic is playing on the highest level and what he needs is a boost from his teammates. I'm looking forward that those Mavericks guys who stepped up against the Utah Jazz in the first round of the Playoffs, turning the team's status from underdog to favorites, will play at their best in this series.

A cool and a nice win from the Phoenix Suns' home is a good advantage before returning to their home crowd on Game 3. I hope they will get a win.

Looks like they’re going to get the win. This has been an extremely physical game. Not really what you want to see with injuries being such a huge factor in playoff basketball. The Mavericks seem frustrated with how the second half went. This is the sort of thing that can weigh on a team going forward. We’ll see how they bounce back next game.

No surprise that the Sixers lost again without Embiid. Such a shame…
5991  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Well Houston Has Gone Full Orwell With Monitoring on: May 04, 2022, 10:45:51 PM
At least it's not London - the most heavily surveilled city outside of China, with a quite absurd 73.3 cameras per 1,000 people (as of May 2021). For interest, New York (7.1 ) and Los Angeles (8.8 ) are an order of magnitude lower. And Texas would need around 400,000 cameras to match London (if my maths is correct).

Those are GOVERNMENT cameras as far as I can see.
This is the GOVERNMENT forcing PRIVATE business to install cameras and GIVE THEM ACCESS TO THEM.

More then that, they are making them cover areas TO THE PROPERTY LINE.

Because that's real easy for some person who runs a small bar in a strip mall. They only have to cover the ENTIRE PARKING LOT AND THE BACK THE ENTIRE STRIP MALL to the property line.

-Dave

That is a little crazy. I’m surprised to read it actually passed. As a fan of true crime documentaries though I am familiar with the amount of strange disappearances and unsolved murders in the Houston area. They definitely have a problem. I’m not one to force business owners to do anything, but maybe for the businesses that are having multiple murders or disappearances on their doorstep, something should be done. Perhaps it should be the city’s responsibility and not the business owner, but I suspect some of these businesses are at least considered to be at fault of some kind to push an ordinance this far.
5992  Other / Meta / Re: Advertising and shilling on Bitcointalk on: May 04, 2022, 08:23:45 PM
So, the next time you see a specific member or a group of people shilling a particular brand or 3rd-party website aggressively, it is quite possible that they are paid for it.

This is not necessarily always the case though. For example, I’ve shilled for Tesla products like the Cybertruck and Powerwall without being compensated by Tesla. You could make the argument I did it to farm referrals, but that’s a flimsy case. Sometimes people just like products and want to share them. Recently I also made a thread that could be construed as shilling for the Sondors Metacycle. I really was just presenting what I believed to be a good opportunity to get a fun electric vehicle for a number of reasons (inflation and manufacturing price increases/rarity). Believe me, or was this just another paid post?  Wink.

holy shit. and i probably got fooled by this guy hacker Undecided Undecided
this is the summary of my pm's i had with the guy over the weekend and made a deal....

Ouch. Maybe this was before it was compromised. That or they switched their MO. I wonder what would’ve happened if someone agreed to this deal. Luckily it was reported early before too much damage could be done. Brings up the question of liability and responsibility when something like this happens. A conversation about solutions on how this sort of scam could be avoided in the future might be productive as well.
5994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 04, 2022, 05:53:35 PM
Zion Williamson came out today and said he was cleared to play and could have suited up in the Pelicans last game. He said his plan was to wait until game 7 to return so he could help them get to the next round and surprise everyone. Seems like a pretty juvenile plan that didn’t work out for him. Not to mention his teammates have to be pissed off that he could have helped them in game 6, but wanted to come back in dramatic fashion to be the hero that got them to the next round. Hopefully he can stay healthy this off-season so we can see him play again. He was exciting to watch, but I don’t think his career will be a long one.

5996  Economy / Collectibles / Re: jmbullion Copper Bar Available on: May 04, 2022, 05:37:22 PM
A half pound bar of copper as a collectible?  WTF?  Has inflation really gotten this bad?  I guess maybe someone might want one of these for a collector's item, but I can't figure out why.  The last thing I'd want is to have to lug this thing around with my possessions or store it for all eternity.  I guess maybe this is the sort of post that won't age well when hyperinflation hits, but I think at some point people need to have the value talk with themselves.  Will this really have value in the future because it has a logo stamped onto it?  I'm guessing most of these things will end up as paperweights or as a reminder to not shop online when you've been taking medication.
5997  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price is falling? on: May 04, 2022, 04:14:22 PM
With new bitcoins entering the market daily via mining rewards, there's a lot of downward pressure on the market.  As the price of Bitcoin goes higher, this leads to even more downward pressure on the market as the number of bitcoins being produced is the same, but their value is more as prices rise.  When billionaires start scooping up tons of BTC it leads to volatility as a result.  They often buy up all the BTC on the market sending prices higher, but then there isn't the constant buying support to keep prices elevated.  Until supply and demand find a sweet spot where they find a balance (impossible with block reward halvings) we're going to see a lot of ups and downs.  Options trading should level it out a bit, and I think that's why we saw a price range between $30K-$69K instead of a massive bubble to $300K.
5998  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may likely pull back to 35k on: May 04, 2022, 04:11:03 PM
$35,000?  What is that, a pullback for ants?  Looking at the chart, it seems pretty obvious that if we see a crash it'll be back to the baseline of around $10,000.  At that point you'll start reading about stories of all the people who have lost their homes and life savings on Bitcoin because it's an evil Ponzi scheme.  That will mark the bottom.  I'm just not seeing any signs of desperation in the market.  People are still bullish for the most part.  Maybe because this has been the easiest trade in human history, or maybe because we haven't seen capitulation yet.  In any event, I won't be mortgaging the house to buy BTC just yet.  I'd still urge caution and suggest looking out for good spots to sell some until something in the market fundamentally changes (ETF approval, major country recognition, etc).
5999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA _ Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks - 2nd round on: May 04, 2022, 04:07:54 PM
Anyways, Suns is still -6 tomorrow, do you think Suns is the public bet?

I still think the Suns will win the series.  When you're playing against a player as good as Luka Doncic, anything can happen on any given night.  Luka is good enough to carry a team to a win when he's having a good night and the Suns don't really have anyone to match up with him well.  Putting an extra little drama on the game, Luka was passed over as the first pick in the draft by the Suns, who ultimately decided to go with DeAndre Ayton.  Ayton has been a beast but I think it's safe to say that Luka has been having the better career so far.  In the back of these two's minds must be wanting to prove they can beat the other guy.
6000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warriors vs Grizzlies 2nd round discussion on: May 04, 2022, 04:05:25 PM
The series continued with an amazing game last night I think. Grizzlies succeeded in beating them by only five points but it wasn't the amazing part of course. It was Morant's unbelievable performance in this game by 47 pts, 8 reb and 8 ast. I think that nobody can complaint about his high level of performance for certain. If he continues to make this kind of an effort in the remaining games also, Grizzlies can make a surprise and eliminate Warriors also. It isn't impossible for them to achieve in the first place. They just need to focus on performing better than Warriors in each game.

Stephen Curry has never been known as a defensive stopper.  The Warriors one weakness may be that opposing point guards can take advantage of him on the defensive end of the court.  You saw it with Kyrie in the 3-1 comeback and you're seeing it now with Ja.  Unfortunately, the Grizzlies don't have much else to fall back on and I think the Warriors will make a couple of simple adjustments to lock Ja Morant down going forward.  Ja got them yesterday though, no doubt.  I didn't expect the Grizzlies would win a game this series, so they surprised me by evening things up.  I still don't think they have a chance at winning the series though.
