61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 4.8c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: December 04, 2019, 03:40:31 PM
Here it is a logfile
http://zerobin.povej.net/?ca8d3aafebf39f7a#P3tL57HYEPpOchjFiz2Lytb5PR6jI4QZUmHIAuuxddI=

I noticed this in log
Unknown OpenCL driver version! Hashrate and stale shares may suffer
GPU1: AMD Compute mode is not supported by your driver 17.1.1
Driver is what win 10 install when I put video card in, but it works with other miners.

AMD released new drivers which incorporated both graphics and compute mode for gaming and blockchain workload operations respectively.
So, the driver version that is installed doesn't support compute.
I'll say DDU the old drivers in safe mode, install the latest 19.9.2 drivers, patch it if using bios modified cards, set the workload to Compute mode in AMD Panel and use OverdriveNtool for any OC.
62  Economy / Gambling / Re: look for Dice website that can do bulk bet like 999dice.com on: December 04, 2019, 03:31:05 PM
I tried Stake a while ago. I used it primarily for Blackjack and sports but they do have an option for betting on dice automatically.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 4.8c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: December 04, 2019, 10:37:01 AM
I try this miner but doesn't work I get all the time 0.000 MH/s
my card is AMD RX 580 8Gb

phoenixminer -coin eth -pool coinotron.com:5351 -wal myuser.minename -pass x

Anyone? Any idea why is mining hashrate all the time 0.000 Mh/s

Does it display any error when you execute the bat file? Can you dump the output of cmd as soon as you run the bat file of it?
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to start mining if I have free eletric? on: December 04, 2019, 10:29:28 AM
How do I start using one Pc and minimum requirements for Pc?

Thanks

If you have 4GB RAM and an okay CPU then just purchase a second-hand GPU and you're good to go.
For AMD, RX580 8GB will be a good starting point and you can get it for around $100 and for Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB is a good starting point for the same price.
Nvidia GPUs can mine coins with a wide range of algorithms but it's not the same for AMD and also there is no fuss on modding bios and such to get the best hash rate possible.
So, Nvidia GPUs are a good starting point.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbooks and their rollovers for Bonuses on: December 04, 2019, 07:00:43 AM
In my early Uni days, I and my friends were really keen on earning some money in a quick way.
I remember we signed up on dozens of gambling sites which offered very lucrative signup bonuses and we did them all.
In the end, we were left $600-$700 which we cashed out.
If you like, I can provide you with the list for the same.
At that time, I didn't know about rollover for bonuses as all was just one-time bonuses.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Truly Random is Random on: December 04, 2019, 06:52:01 AM
That's my take on it,
Let's say we run a function which returns a random value where value is an integer and between 1 to 100.
The probability of particular value to come more than once in 100 executions will be high.
In this case, we can say random is not so random because the area to select the randomness is too small.

Now, let's take a case of a x-y graph which is literally infinite in both the axis and we are to execute a function which returns 10 pairs of (x,y) coordinates randomly where x and y are float values.
Then the number of executions it will take to get the identical set to come twice is near to zero.
Here, Random is very very random.

So, it does come down to the vastness that we are playing in to generate randomness.

What is your mining speed if i may ask with these settings?

43.8 - 44.2 MH/s
Above settings with OverdriveNtool plus Soft Powerplay tables.
AMDmem Tweak Vega 56 weak settings.

There are also some people who know this but still end up losing all.
It all starts with small winnings where they are not able to control themselves and keep on betting until luck runs out and they lose a lot.
That self-control is way more important than anything out there while gambling and to know when to stop and cash out rather than just keep on betting again and again.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is big news for Germany Bitcoiners out there! on: November 30, 2019, 11:25:12 AM
Well, a bold step was taken by German and in the right direction.
As I remember, they were among the first ones to come up with policies that were crypto-friendly.
This right here is the adoption we should be talking about.
Slowly, pro-crypto Governments around the world will follow the suit and make decisions as such.
I'm sure in a few years this is the reason we'll see cryptos to a new high.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, What did you buy with your bitcoins on Black Friday? on: November 30, 2019, 06:34:08 AM
Even though the BTC price has fallen, it can be still be used to purchase goods.
I bought a Bluetooth Mouse from Amazon by creating a listing for it in purse website for a discount.
It took a few days before someone fulfilled that order but I got good fifteen percent discount on it.
I didn't use my invested BTC but I converted the required BTC through fiat which took some time but received a good deal.

Who has the best settings for Vega64 OverdriveNTool???

You can find your own best settings as each and every card is different and it won't overclock the same.
As there is no way to increase memory voltage. Increase memory speed by increments of 25 MHz until it is unstable.
After this reduce core clock and core voltage in a similar fashion until it starts affecting the hashrate.
Use HWInfo for any memory errors and display monitor to detect if there are any artefacts visible on the screen.

My Vega 56 flash 64 air bios. Mem - 1095MHz; Core - 1246MHz; Cove(v) - 1025mV; fan - 66%
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need a factory Bios (nonmodded) for powercolor Rx580 8gb gpu on: November 30, 2019, 05:56:31 AM
Appreciate it.  I pulled up the modded bios on Polaris editor and saw the 1750 strap was the same as the stock bios listed on techpower up for the red dragon with micron memory.  I flashed this bios and was successful.  So all is good.

This version:

https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/198128/powercolor-rx580-8192-171211

That is great. Good to know that it flashed successfully.
Still, I'll recommend performing a stress test on the GPU.
Haven Benchmark or 3D Mark Stress test will be a good choice and it will ensure that all the states of the GPU are stable and there is no further risk of malfunctioning during games or graphic-intensive tasks.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need a factory Bios (nonmodded) for powercolor Rx580 8gb gpu on: November 29, 2019, 07:43:26 PM
Yeah, card is working, just want to sell it, so would like to put back to stock bios.  I contacted powercolor by email, but they havent responded in over a week, so figure they wont.  Ill check to see if it has the bios switch when I go to location of miner.

Yes, if it does. Just switch it and sell it off.
No need to flash bios if that's the case.
If it doesn't have then please do not flash any bios that you get from the internet.
Mail the customer care again and get the original one from them because a bad flash will brick your working card.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Please answer this question, ( What to mine with low budget GPUs) on: November 29, 2019, 02:33:18 AM
I would like to mine something.
I used to mine ETH in 2016 with RX480s

I sold those and now i only have RX560 4GB

offcourse these 4gb 128bit cannot mine ETH anymore
But what can they mine succesfully ?

THANK YOU , PLEASE ANSWER ME WITH BEST CHOICE !

As others have already mentioned that it is not worth the time and electricity to mine coins as of now because of negative profit.
Even then if you want to try out, you can check the Announcement section and mine newly released coins.
Just a few days ago, there was a new coin release by the name of Cortex and people did make a good profit mining even though it was just for a day.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need a factory Bios (nonmodded) for powercolor Rx580 8gb gpu on: November 29, 2019, 02:15:28 AM
Doesn't the V2 card has a dual bios switch?
I gave techpowerup a check and there are bios available for V1 model.
If your card is working then I'll recommend not to flash any other bios as it can be a hit or miss.
A good amount of my Sapphire RX580s are bricked just because of this reason.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest on a project because someone said they are good? on: November 28, 2019, 05:04:09 PM
Majority of the coins that are released now with similar name convention to the top 50 coins are just a fork.
They are not at all worth to invest.
They will see their bull run when they create hype and word gets around and then fall sharply with no recovery in sight.
In time, that coin is left with no development and bad exchanges.

So, take your time, research into the project, compare it with the top coins and see if it brings anything new for the crypto community.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 500 mh/s 🔔 Ethereum mining rig RX5700XT vs RX5700 vs RX570 !? on: November 28, 2019, 04:45:52 PM
I figured the days of people actually building Ethereum mining rigs with GPUs was over by now and that focus would be more on asic or fpga. I'm pretty surprised.

I think GPUs are still more accessible for the people.

The thing that I faced regarding FPGAs is that there are not many public bitstreams available for it. I even managed to find Xiling VCU1525 but the price made me not consider it. They wanted $3350 + shipping for it. Not to mention the import duty could have been so high.

I was never intrigued by ASICs. It increased centralization, newer models were sold after they were already mined by the companies who manufacture it, no sales support, less warranty span and they become paperweight just after few months or so.

So, In the end. I think, GPUs, CPUs are a much better investment for mining rather than the above two.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 (Windows/Linux) on: November 28, 2019, 06:13:19 AM
I have a question about  rx5700 gpu. I was running it two weeks ago and with the current clocks it was making over 53mgh , now when I put it again it hashes with 51.50mgh . What could be the issue? Same setting, same rig.

At every epoch, there is a generating of a new DAG file with increased size.
It is responsible for the decreased hash rate in Nvidia cards. There is no fix for it until and unless Nvidia releases drivers which rectifies the issue.
For AMD Devices, they released Blockchain drivers which addressed this issue and fixed it. Seeing the driver page, it is not compatible with new RX 5700 series.
So probably that might be the issue.
