May I know the EasyBitcoins Expiry Date ?
Expiry date? If you're referring to the auction, it was yesterday. If you're referring to some sort-of domain, there is no domain in the offer, other than a temporary redirection to move traffic to your website. You can still PM me any offers if you still want to buy the code.
|
|
|
It's now past midnight. Guess nobody wants it. PM me for offers since the auction is over, I might relaunch the auction in a few days if nobody wants to offer.

Malware ahead for me on DailyBitcoin and Bunnyrun pages =/
I don't run those sites. But I'm not getting any warnings over here. Better that you discuss this with the owners of the sites rather than me.

A while ago I built the site http://bitcoin.someguy123.com to see how well it could bring in money, it is made in PHP+MySQL, but it uses PDO as an abstraction layer, so changing to SQLite, PostgreSQL, or other databases with similar syntax is a simple change of the database config file. Features:- A basic admin panel for managing the sites
- Any sites entered will have their link automatically shortened using CoinURL
- Basic hit tracking using a redirection page, hits are shown in the admin panel
- The code uses PDO, meaning you can modify it to use any database without needing to re-code it
Screenshots: What do you get?- Full, clean source code to the website, with no obfuscation
- The current database of the website so you can get started quickly
- Basic tech support if you're having issues setting up the site, although I can choose on a per-case basis
What you don't get- You do NOT get hosting of any kind included
- You do NOT get the domain (although it will be redirected to your own domain for at least 1 week to help move over old users)
- You do NOT get my CoinURL account, you will be required to make your own for the site to work.
- You do NOT get any updates, fixes, or improvements to the source code once purchased.
Auction DetailsThe auction will start at $50 and will go for 5 days, ending 2013-08-07 00:00:00 British Summer Time (UTC+1) Depending on my schedule, it may take me up to 24 hours or more for me to finalize the auction, to obtain payment from the winner, and to then deliver the source code in the request method. The minimum increment is $1 from the previous bid. These prices are to be paid in Bitcoin or Litecoin equivalent to the rate shown at BTC-e

Looks like it's just chrome now. Mozilla has cleared things up, yet chrome is still spewing out malware warnings all over my Litecoin block explorer because of my coinurl ad http://explorer.litecoin.netI am using firefox still getting warning. That's strange. I visited CoinURL just a minute ago on Firefox and it was fine. Now all of a sudden it's telling me it's a reported attack page as soon as I tried to log in. Okay I got it now. When that Firefox notification pops up, it's a "Google Advisory notice" So when google reviews us, it will go away. rrrrrghhhh!!!! Nope. Updated 3 hours ago according to diagnostics, this means they've just checked it out, and it's still marked as dangerous. Congrats you failed their test, somehow.

Will be solved soon!
I think we will move all intersitital ads to the cur.lv domain so if this were to happen, it only affects the intersitials and not the banners at all! That seems like one solid step we can take.
That would be a much better way. If this isn't solved soon, I'm going to have to take down the ad from my block explorer as it's probably scaring away many new litecoin users.

Weird, I just went through firefox and I didn't get a warning?
Looks like you ignored it once, I am getting warning page. I just tried from 4 different systems, including one that was a fresh install that had never had firefox opened before and it loaded the page without warning! Looks like it's just chrome now. It could be Coinbase at fault and not bitcoin network. I've had some issues with them as well.
I would definitely say Coinbase is just awful. I prefer services that use Bitpay, because generally it's actually INSTANT. In some cases, e.g. Namecheap, they use BitPay, but you have to wait 6 confirms, but unlike Coinbase you don't get stuck on the payment page, where it tries to tell you that you haven't even paid for the product yet.

This started off so well, would be nice to see this get somewhere.

The thing is, someone needs to take action and provide the company with a solution that will just work. And with action I mean contact them directly and showcase a payment processor able to handle the integration for them, bank account approval and providing them with cash in their bank for every "Bitcoin sale".
...
But anyone who wishes to take on this task are welcome to contact me, and we can set up a demo. I won't say on BIPS, since I will probably just be shunned for suggesting my own company, but a solution based on BitPay, Coinbase or BIPS.
Generally when I attempt Bitcoin evangelism like this, I always suggest BitPay and Coinbase, as I did with this suggestion. Of course it would probably be better if a company worked with them directly, such as when Coinbase reaches out to companies like Humble Bundle encouraging them directly, likely with much better support material than I have at hand. Maybe it would be more successful if there was more material available on reaching out to companies to add Bitcoin support to their payment options, possibly an all-in-one page explaining the legalities of Bitcoin in the US, all the positive effects they would achieve by adding Bitcoin, as well as an unbiased explanation of payment processors such as Bitpay, Coinbase, and BIPS.

I check my balance. $60
I go to store. Bitcoin fluctuates and now it is worth $48
I buy $50 worth of merchandise.
Card declined.
That's the danger. You'd have to have some kind of fiat overdraft and that's the problem.
I do see a potential for prepaid credit card where I can add USD from home before I leave.
^^^ This It's not exactly reliable to trust a card which sells bitcoins on the fly, at least not until the Bitcoin price stabilizes. A card which could keep some sort-of reserve in dollars/pounds/whatever else would be okay though, such as having $100 reserve, then 2 BTC in the actual wallet. Then if you go over the reserve, it automatically sells BTC at market price to pay for the product.

Getting warnings from AntiVirus against the site. Several different actually.. hmm
This is likely because of our .it.cx domain. It is a free subdomain provided by Afraid.org, but unfortunately many run abusive sites under their subdomains, and as of such we're left with their bad reputation, despite never doing anything ourselves. There is no malware on our site, and we do not link to any malicious websites or downloads. This is simply a false warning due to others who misuse their free .it.cx domains for malicious purposes.

Are you aware of a user named toork that forked your code and recently ended up stealing a lot of LTC?
I know you are not responsible for what someone does with your code but it sucks that someone could cause harm with code you originally created.
I personally would never recommend that anyone should store a large amount of money in an instant wallet like this. There's too many risks involved with storing funds on a potentially volatile website which could evaporate at any instant. While it's possible for an instant wallet website to be completely legitimate, unless they use client-side signing and wallet encryption similar to Blockchain.info, it's highly risky to store a large percentage of your funds in such a wallet. I trust g2x3k to reliably run this wallet service, and of course I do trust in my own code which was built to be relatively secure internally, but of course it is up to the operator on how to handle the users funds. The original LTC Wallet is still running at wallet.it.cx with not a single complaint of theft yet. In the case of ltc-wallet.com, it was obvious from the second toork began the investments that toork's wallet website was likely a scam, as he was offering an investment service with ridiculous returns while refusing to explaining what he was doing with the invested funds. We have never attempted to offer such a service, we're only offering a simple instant wallet, which allows for fast, convenient withdrawal and deposits of litecoins.

Looks like we've come to a bit of a standstill... Would be nice if people could upvote the reddit post some more, we've fallen from the frontpage of /r/Bitcoin, and we've stuck around 346 votes for almost a day now.

It's likely he could have put it into some sort-of coin mixing service, and that could be why your coins are taking on some crazy trail to nowhere. If he placed them into an exchange like MtGox or BTC-e, both exchanges have extremely strange internal coin handling, it's likely that most of that trail is the coins just moving around inside exchanges like MtGox, BTC-e, or Bitstamp.
