61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IBM Find Only 2% Of Bitcoin Transactions Are Unlwaful on: August 19, 2019, 03:05:58 PM
I am actually happy that a reputable platform is coming out with figures and verifiable evidence about the real transactions carried out with the intention of breaking the law. However, the 2% so low, when it comes to value, its something that can still be beaten down to the barest minimum and the reason why it seems its alarming is that, it seems so impossible to nab the perpetrators of such act which is why there is more to be done in sanitizing the crypto space to the envy of large corporations who are ready to bring in funds and the required publicity in other to ensure the penetration is done at a high level.

You are missing something. According to this report 2% of transactions are unlawful. But we cannot say only 2 of 100 transactions are unlawful. 77% of transactions are unclassified. So, these transactions must be deducted from all the transactions. If deduct 77 from 100, only 23% remains. So we can say 2 of 23 transactions are unlawful.  It's about 9%.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ITO] WPP ENERGY TOKEN - TOKEN TO BE TIED TO THE VALUE OF H2 on: August 19, 2019, 02:24:08 PM
Yeah! the reason why that is, is because majority of those making a comment here are bounty guys who don't posses such thing as being patient, 90% only knows short term gains, they judge a project by its current selling price and not by the achievement the project has made so far or what they intend to accomplish in long term, good thing is the team are very focus to the course and they don't pay attention to irrelevant winning.

I cannot understand why some people always blame bounty participants when talking about price falls in the project. If developments are made well, price cannot easily decrease even if all the bounty hunters sell their tokens immediately. Bounty participants are the owner of maximum 2% of the tokens.

I am not saying price decrease is due to lack of development. The market condition should be also considered. But at least I am sure the reason is not bounties.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Creates Currency to Cancel-out Cryptocurrency on: August 18, 2019, 01:25:32 PM
Till now, every country has supported cryptocurrencies, has tried to trick people. Governments claim that they support cryptocurrencies, but in reality they want to control everything. They don't want bitcoin, they want a new controlled currency which is not technically a cryptocurrency.
Is there any link to an article or a news with more details of what China is trying to do?
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are investors still complaining? on: August 18, 2019, 01:11:10 PM
Yes, there have been some profitable projects. But there is no doubt the number of failed projects is much bigger. Any way, no one force people to invest in a project. So no one should complain.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ITO] WPP ENERGY TOKEN - TOKEN TO BE TIED TO THE VALUE OF H2 on: August 17, 2019, 11:04:46 PM
Actually listing in new exchange is not as easy as you assume mate, there are a lot of conditions involve when listing in an exchange which you as a project must met to keep it afloat, aside from the monetary aspect, i understand their are other conditionality involved, besides i see the wpp CTO (Mr Troy) as a smart man that will always reach out for the best option for wpp energy, if he thinks listing in new exchange is a major priority for wpp token to grow, am sure he would have done that immediately, making the right choice not always easy.
yes indeed it's not easy, but why do they promise if they can't keep? just making a trend so that many people are interested in buying before listing? it's better not to promise to list on 5 exchanges if it's not able to meet it, shut up better and walk like running water
Looking at the market generally now, it is not easy for any project to keep with the price speculated if there are no use case. My trust on the project, if it is true, is the commitment to fulfil a large part of the roadmap that bring a good use case that could drive demand. There is no reason getting on many top exchanges if a good part of the roadmap is not accomplished.

Yes, There is no need for exchanges. They should now focus on development of the project. I personally don't think listing on new exchanges can even rise the price given the current condition of market.
But people are complaining about exchanges. Because they had already announced that five exchanges will list the tokens.
Any way, I hope everything goes well. listing on new exchanges does not matter now.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum getting old? on: August 16, 2019, 11:39:38 PM
Ethereum is really getting old and the hype of 2017 that led to its increase may not repeat it self again because of the strong competition in the crypto space. Some us who have been holding ethereum since 2017 may not recover our losses in time to come with the look of things.

Based on your opinion, Bitcoin is also old. Till now, bitcoin has not reached the December 2017 price. So, what do you think? Should we sell our bitcoins and invest in a new crypyocurrency?
67  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach $100k within 5 years from now on: August 16, 2019, 04:45:28 PM
3 years tops and probably way sooner for 100k.

I think potentially we’ll see $100,000 per BTC at some point towards the end of 2021. My reasoning for this is that it usually takes a while for the reduced supply of bitcoin’s (due to the halving) to be reflected in the price. It’s all about the supply & demand - reduced supply & increased demand = MOON!

Many people are waiting for halving. According to the diagrams, after both past halvings, the price has increased for a bout year. One in 2013 after 2012 halving and another one in 2017 after 2016 halving. If the pattern repeats, we should see a new all time in lately 2021. It can be 100,000 or even more. But nothing in the market is predictable. Should just wait and see if pattern repeats.
well halving is not enough reason for bitcoin to climb $100k, although im sure bitcoin will reach that price by year 2024 ,bitcoin on that year is already strong.

2024? Why do you think that? Better to provide some reasons for what you predict. Unfortunately people are just guessing prices for different  years.
Any way, you said you are sure of that. Why do you have such an idea?

69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first country in the world. Officially salary in cryptocurrency! on: August 16, 2019, 02:52:29 PM
I don't really see how this solves anything since you can just buy bitcoins within hours of getting your paycheck.

Yes, we can buy cryptocurrencies with our salaries which is in fiat. But what matters here is the acceptance of cryptocurrencies by a government which is a good progress.

A better thing would be if a company started paying people in their own currency or the government created its own currency. Perhaps a stable coin based on the country in question local currency value and then it will simply be a digital version of it.
Company's own cryptocurrency?? No, We want bitcoin. Not a cryptocurrency issued by government. Bitcoin is much more healthy.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pricing everyday items in SATs on: August 16, 2019, 02:07:00 PM
What's the problem if we use both bitcoin and Satoshi? As well as both dollar and cents that are used simultaneously.
We can use Satoshis when we refer to an ice-cream and use bitcoin when we refer to a lamborghini.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum getting old? on: August 15, 2019, 09:03:16 PM
I don't agree with you. First, ICOs and IEOs are still based on Ethereum platform more than others. Second, these days people are less interested in altcoins. So, less interest in Ethereum is normal.

Also I want to draw your attention to bitcoin. Bitcoin is now the oldest cryptocurrency. Many new cryptocurrencies have been created and had claimed to be better than bitcoin. But none of them were successful. I expect Ethereum to remain the biggest altcoin as it is the oldest altcoin. Not only oldness is not a disadvantage, it's an advantage.

100% right.
False promises might only have a little effect at the first. When the promises are broken, then they can have a big negative effect on people's trust. Wish they had not promised five exchange.
(I should admit that generally I am still hopeful about the future of this project.)
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Betting : A big problem to crypto? on: August 14, 2019, 06:51:20 PM
I doubt if what you read on that, article is true, 60% of the entire crypto transactions can't be used for betting. Where did they get those claims from? Well, even if that's true, people decide what to do with their coins so it's not bad per say.  The bad aspects where crypto is used will be for demanding ransom in cases like kidnapping, smuggling funds etc.

I don't agree with the OP and the article ( I don't know which article is being talked about. ) I think the percentage is much lower. But let's assume that percentage is right. I think the OP is calling this a big problem, because cryprocurrencies have not been created for such a purpose. Even if the OP is right, again you are right. Because even if cryptocurrencies are not used for gambling, for now they are not supposed to being used for their main purposes which is daily buys and sells.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Betting : A big problem to crypto? on: August 14, 2019, 03:41:31 PM
Many transactions are made via gambling websites. But I don't think that percentage is right. You can easily check the coins transferred via exchanges and compare them with the transactions made via gambling websites. I expect the number of transactions made by traders to be much more than gamblers.
Can you provide a link to the article?
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Acceptance of Bitcoin and Crypto in New Zealand: A Curious Case on: August 13, 2019, 10:14:42 PM
I read the articles. The second one claim that it's a bad idea. Because the value of the salary must be fixed at the time salaries are paid. In the next day, the value of your salaries might be decreased.
But in my opinion, it's a very good idea. Those who accept to receive their salary in bitcoin is accepting risk. losing money can be also happened for the person who buy bitcoin. People can also pay their salary in fiat.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banning bitcoins is against the law on: August 13, 2019, 10:04:28 PM
First of all, we shouldn't be worry about banning of bitcoin. Bitcoin is based on blockchain technology and that's decentralized. But let's assume that a government can ban bitcoin and people no longer use bitcoin. I ask you  a question. Who does make the rules? Governments make the rules. They can change the rules however they want. They can make the rules in favour of themselves. They are governments. They can do whatever they want.
(Note that it was just an assumption. So, they can do what they want, but everything is different when we are talking about bitcoin.)
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gov'ts and Institutions buying up Bitcoin on: August 13, 2019, 08:24:56 PM
Those government and institutions buying bitcoin might have an ulterior motive for embarking on such feat, maybe their sole aim is to become self imposed whales that will control the price in the future, I am quite sure the US government will have an undisclosed huge amount of bitcoin and who knows  they might have been subtly accumulating more bitcoin covertly such that they can continue to dominate the world as world power in every aspect of economy.
I do not think US does have any investment in cryptocurrency, because if they had, Trump would not have come on twitter to make a statement which he knew could break bitcoin down a little and then break their investment, except maybe trump is just trying to create FUD that will make the price drop so that they can have chance to buy cheaply.

The only country that I don’t trust is North Korea, North Korea is too wise and could be gathering wealth secretly through the system by playing as whales. That is just an assumption though, only their government knows the truth. For institutions, I am sure we will have so many institutions who understand the technology of bitcoin will be accumulating bitcoin underground, and maybe that is why we do see some sudden jump in the price of bitcoin at times without explanation.
I agree with you
In my opinion, no government have invested in bitcoin. But I think, if we list the countries that might investing in bitcoin, dictatorship countries will be in top. Because it's nit easy for countries like United States to invest in bitcoin. there are restrict rules there.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin The King Of Crypto on: August 13, 2019, 07:33:15 PM
The chart only focused on BTC. And it is almost impossible to understand others seriously. But there seems to be a few more performing coins. (Of course, we can't understand which coin is available because the chart data is not very healthy.)

It is completely clear that bitcoin has been much profitable that altcoins. And why do you think the data is not healthy? Coinmarketcap shows similar charts too.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you could change bitcoin what would you change? on: August 13, 2019, 03:17:35 PM
Let`s say you are satoshi and you can get the miners on board or the majority of them, what would you change about bitcoin?

I would add a feature called bitcointime, where unique addresses/sidechains that are verified by the system (so we can only each have 1 address) create bitcointime over duration at a fixed rate (universal basic income). The people themselves would willingly upload themselves as the key to unlock that address using filesharing on a blockchain, the system can backtrack to make sure no duplicate information can be used because everything is stored on a blockchain.

This is in contract with anonymity which is main advantage of bitcoin.
Possibility of having several addresses is one of main features of bitcoin. This is due to people's privacy. People should be able to create a new address whenever they want.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: dont stop been a bounty hunter because of present condition on: August 13, 2019, 01:50:40 PM
I was inactive in the forum for about 8 months. Now I see the number of bounty participants has been heavily decreased. I think people who are still active in bounty campaigns are those who are really hopeful of cryptocurrencies, but cannot afford to invest. They make efforts to earn some tokens for future purposes. Bounty hunters think about future not now.
