61  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 20, 2013, 10:40:47 PM
I thought about it a lot. Believe me. And yeah, maybe I could have gotten the money back. But maybe I could have lost it all. Hindsight is not something we have with stocks.

I decided that I would take the large loss due to their inability to tell the truth. The truth is worth a lot to me.
62  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 20, 2013, 10:34:01 PM
Let me start out by saying I'm not trying to scare anyone to make the share price go lower. Believe me, I'm uninterested in Labcoin. I liquidated all of the 18000 shares today at ~.001 that I carelessly bought two days ago at ~.0028. Yes, I lost a good amount of money, about 2/3 of my original buy price. I'm not too worried about it as I am still in the black overall in my investments, but it is extremely disappointing and I can say I learned a hard lesson.

I'm generally concerned about labcoin. I don't like to invest in companies where the people running it continuously lie. Then when they're lies are realized, they say something else to make people happy. Then it doesn't turn out, and they lie again.

The thing about labcoin is that they don't have time to not be mining. All of you that keep giving them a chance are in denial. Every day that they aren't mining takes a huge chunk out of the potential value that they could have had. If they ever get their issues sorted out, they're working with 120nm, then 65nm. Which will become obsolete while there are multiple companies shipping out 28nm's in November, December, and January. I know ACTM is planning on shipping in November from a proven Asic manufacturer. I'm not really worried about them having issues, the company has the experience to deal with them.

All I'm saying is that I do not like what's been going on here. Keep your head on straight guys. Don't let your greed motivate you, like it did me. It's an important lesson, and I'm glad I didn't lose it all.

From the definition of scam, Labcoin is a scam.
"Verb   1.   scam - deprive of by deceit; "She defrauded the customers who trusted her" http://www.thefreedictionary.com/scam

Sure, they could have good intentions, but they LIE. I don't want to take the time to read through theswedes posts to find all of the lies. They promise things, take your money, and they don't follow through with their promises. As far as I'm concerned, that is defrauding the customers. It's terrible. I don't want to know lies. Lies are worse than no information.

And a note to theswede. It seems to me like you might need some help to get your brain going, either your retarded or just in denial. It's not your responsibility to be the middle man for this lying. Given the fact that most of what you've said coming from labcoin isn't true, I would stop saying things. Realize what you are contributing to. By irresponsibly representing labcoin, you are making real people lose real value. Grow up and realize the real impact that your actions have on people. It's not a game.

FLIPPING

Reading these amazing flipping stories from LC>ACtM>LC is funny.

If you look at the history on btc-tc and the charts on coinflow the reality is a bit different.

-There were only 30k total LC shares sold around the ACtM rally, and a third of those was during the tail end of the ACtM move from .006 to .0066. These people would have made nothing at best because once you take into account the spreads between buying and selling on 4 different occasions (3%x4=12% now but it would have been more at the time) you have lost 15%+  and the max theoretical gain was only 10%.

-The third of shares in LC that were sold roughly halfway through the ACtM rally (you can see around 10k shares are sold in 5 lots around 22:50 in history on btc-tc) well most of them were sold a few minutes before ACtM hit .006 so they would have made a max 15-20%.  But again if you take away the approx 15% over 4 transaction spreads you have a max theoretical 5% gain.

-Now to the last third of LC shares sold. This 10k was sold over 40-50 small batches, so it's lots of small sellers approximately 200 shares each. These sellers could have made 50% but the biggest single seller is only 1k (over two lots) so they made max 2btc.

Another really interesting point is that the BIG sellers in LC last night didn't get back into LC until many hours after the start of the ACtM rally (they were expecting it to continue). You can see in the history log that the 10k (5lot) seller did not come back until around 08:30 today.  Infact ONLY 5k of LC had been bought back (over many small lots) by around 2am. By that time ACtM sellers would have been getting around .0050 which is below break even for most rally buyers. If the big sellers that got back into LC today sold their ACtM just before buying back their LC they would have lost 10-15% on selling ACtM and a few % on the buyback of LC.

So a quick summary would be:

a third of the flippers (around 30-40 people) made 2btc each max.
a third of the flippers (around 10 people)  broke even or lost 10% after spread fees.
a third of the flippers (2 or 3 big sellers) are just getting back in today and have lost 10-20% perhaps more.

If any one says any different ask them to show their trades on the history log.

Day trading is easy in hindsight, for all these flipper heros. lol  Cool

I consider making 2 BTC in 20 minutes to be bloody amazing. That's equivalent to 750 USD/hour - for clicking a mouse a couple of times and pressing a few keys. I don't know a single person who makes that much in a week.

No, it's the equivalent to making 2 btc in 12 hours of trolling these forums and refreshing BTCT.

Please move this lovely talk to the speculation thread.

I hope that this doesn't get buried. Hopefully a board member will catch this and bring this up to the mothership.

I would like to see some VMC employees going to various bitcoin conferences for marketing/networking. That's what all the other big mining guys do. I've heard conference interviews on the awesome podcast 'Let's talk bitcoin' www.letstalkbitcoin.com from BFL and a few others. Additionally, conference or not, it would be fantastic if we could get an interview with 'Let's talk bitcoin' or 'coinsider this'.

Here's upcoming events, maybe we can at least stick to the US ones.

http://bitcoin.org/en/events

2013-09-27 - The European Bitcoin convention - Amsterdam, Netherlands
2013-10-05 - Crypto-currency conference - Atlanta, United States
2013-10-22 - Bitcoin Konferenz 2013 - Cologne, Germany
2013-11-01 - Bitcoin 2013: unSYSTEM - Vienna, Austria
2013-11-30 - BitcoinExpo 2013 - London, United Kingdom
2013-12-10 - Inside Bitcoins - Las Vegas, United States

Keep it fresh. The holders will see some good days in the coming months. Something that I thought looked good, compared to the rest of the US, Missouri has relatively competitive electricity rates. http://www.marketplace.org/topics/sustainability/maps-electricity Maybe we could get a few wind turbines or solar panels? haha

...Ken will come through and that all will be great!!!!

I think I'm going to make bracelets.

W.W.K.D? What would Ken do?

Who wants one?

Guys, what's the deal with this??

Office Address:

Active Mining Corporation (Belize)

Suite 3
London
SW1V 1BZ
United Kingdom
Fax: +44 (0)20 3004 1756

Lol, but seriously, Enough of this bull crap. There's risk to all these stocks. No doubt about it.

I've been accumulating a good number of shares from these prices. I hope it continues to go down, it's turning into a better opportunity every day. One thing to remember is that there's still ~.0025 that will be paid to the first 10,000,000 shares before ACTM sees any of it. The way I look at it -- ACTM will have access to their chips at about the price it takes to make them. This will give them an advantage over most other mining companies. Maybe we won't have the best/cheapest/most efficient chip? Who knows... but we've already paid for the expensive part, the research and development. We know that eAsic is a successful company from their 900% growth rate last year.

I'm sure that labcoin will also go up. It definitely has more upward potential than ACTM due to having 2/5's of the shares. That's great! Good investment, now go make a make a thread comparing various investments. I've done well from both, but I believe Actm will see higher prices in the future. If you disagree, sell me your shares and leave this thread. Stop the childlike banter.

If you care about the ACTM investors, and you want to warn them of the 'impending doom', maybe the best thing for them is to learn the hard way. It's not your job to protect other people (unless you want to get more shares yourself). And honestly, while I haven't been contributing to the nonsense, I've been enjoying the low prices.

This thread looks a lot cleaner after ignoring pankkake, icebreaker, and pheaonix.

edit:added crumbs, bargraphics, and mabsark to ignore list.

Bitcoin price has nothing to do with value of shares.

It does to me. Let's say that 1 share is .004 btc.

That share has more value to me if bitcoin is $130 than if bitcoin is $100.

I think I get what you're saying. There isn't a direct correlation between btc's price and share price. And I agree with that. I just disagree that btc price has nothing to do with the value of my shares.

Price jump on btc side. This is the awesome part where we all realize that even though things are slow here, we're still riding up with bitcoin.
69  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 23, 2013, 06:27:29 PM
Anyone have any insight on the price difference between bitfunder and BTCT?

In Bitfunder there is people that bought at the original AMC IPO at 0'0005 so they are probably more willing to sell at 0'004x that people on BTCT that started buying at a higher price.
You may be right.

Very true. Additionally, there are about twice the amount of shares on bitfunder (of which about half of those IPO'd at .0005-.0008). In the beginning, .5 btc bought 1000 shares and now buys about 100 shares. There's a lot of people on bitfunder that bought these really cheap shares. Another thing to think about is the amount of speculative liquidity on btct compared to bitfunder. There have been a lot of big IPO's on btct recently that have a lot of volatility. For someone that wants to chase the volatility, it's easier for them to stay on one exchange to keep their btc most liquid. When actm gets good news, they'll buy it quick rather than try to send to weexchange and waste valuable time.

The company logo http://virtualminingcorp.com/shop1/index.php on the top left of the website should be moved up on the page. It's hanging down a bit and looks bad.

Also, the links at the bottom of the page for twitter and facebook are going to the online store template prestashop pages.

I understand that Ken's working hard on stuff, but this might be a decent filler project when there is time.

EDIT: I bolded it per Stuartuk's comment so that it has a chance of being read by KEN/PR

I read the first and the last pages of this thread but dont find why the trading is locked at bitfunder. Something wrong with that security?

And is there any news besides the announcement in first post about the NRE? I mean they wanted to create own asics right?

I don't know what you're talking about. Active mining is working on bitfunder, I just bought a share to test.
72  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: August 15, 2013, 03:41:04 PM
Everything about this stock is suspicious. Everything is a little off and if you point it out you get hounded with "perhaps this explains it, perhaps that explains it." We could be in for a rude surprise.

We could.  But hey its the same for all these digital securities.  I think there is fairly good evidence that the avalon chips are for real and in route, albeit who knows when.  The easic deal looks like it is at least being acknowledged by both sides, easic and ken. There's just not a lot to happen right now and the silence is making some people question.  So far in terms of hardware delivery Ken has been on pace with everything he has stated, all delays have been purely from third party vendors.

We never got photos of the prototype hashing. This is very suspicious.

"This is so suspicious that I'm going to keep saying that this is so suspicious so that maybe I can buy some cheap shares. I don't have better things to do than to continue telling people how suspicious things are. I care enough just to warn people, have no intent other than that."

/s
EDIT: but yeah, I agree, pix would be good. And an update would be great. I trust Ken/VMC/ACTM, but it's been a while. We need to be fed.
73  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 13, 2013, 06:31:41 PM

I'm glad someone else got same informations, but I'm a bit paranoid and I prefer check for myself Wink

No problem. Smiley

I'm expecting a huge rally when the official PR from eAsic is released and those fears dissipate permanently.

Completely agree. Looking to get more involved? Now is the time my friends, now is the time. Might be the cheapest ACTM will ever be.
74  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 09, 2013, 01:05:15 AM
If you knew that things would work, and you got the funding for those things, then you'd probably be doing what Ken is doing now, working. Not concerning himself with updating the forums for people that refresh this page every other five minutes. He's done a great job so far, he's never let me down. I've talked with him, I'm willing to invest in him, and I'm not over-invested, so if it doesn't work out, my life will still go on.

75  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 07, 2013, 12:46:41 PM
I agree with you, the price of ActM is low right now. How are you responding? Are you buying or just sitting and waiting?

I've invested enough to feel comfortable with what I have now. I have some open orders for ridiculous prices if there are panic sells overnight though - I don't care for the FUDsters but I'm not against profiting from the weak-stomached.

I'm doing the same thing.
76  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 07, 2013, 03:43:02 AM

Point of reference:
BTCGarden IPO price: 0.016 Currently: 0.015
Labcoin IPO price: 0.001 Currently: 0.0015

Don't forget us .0005 AMC IPO'ers.

AMC IPO price: 0.0005 Closing: 0.0052

Then wait for Ken's next chunk of news. The coming weeks are probably the cheapest this stock will ever be.
77  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 05, 2013, 04:13:16 AM
Man, bargain prices. Wait for Easic news, and i can see ACTM making .01.

78  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 05, 2013, 04:08:53 AM
It's a FUD campaign with a short term impact. Buying more shares now before everyone sees through this BS and buys back.

Agree 100%. It has been excellently executed. Oh well, I increased my shares.
79  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 05, 2013, 03:49:00 AM
Oh my gosh. This is hilarious. I'm keeping all my shares, I expect price to rise in a week or so.

But, for those of you that have over-invested, you maybe learned a lesson.

I think that there's a lot of manipulation going on right now. The only potentially real threat is cointerra. But it seems to me like there's nothing different about it. Good experience, flashier website. Ken's developed his own fast-hash code. The 28nm chip design is payed for, awaiting to hear official confirmation from EASIC, a real-world ASIC chip company that grew over 900% last year. There are no signs of negative news with this deal. On top of this, he is working with an engineering firm that will produce avalon clones.

Things don't seem to look bad to me, maybe I'm naive. I sold a few shares at the top, and bought back in lower. I haven't grown attached to my unrealized gains it's been successful so far. Who knows which way things will go, but I think the chances are high that those of you that are selling shares now might be wishing that you held onto them in a few weeks.
