Wanted to buy some shares, but this thread is such chaos...
Dang, we were all hoping you would buy. Oh well, you were picking the wrong one anyway. Fine example to summarise the atmosphere of this thread As I said before, no one gives a crap if you buy or not. All the info to make an 'informed' decision is here and easy to find. That's true, doesn't mean respectfull communication can be thrown out. Just like I don't give a crap about what your response to my non-question. I'm not your enemy, even if you need venting.

Fine example to summarise the atmosphere of this thread You should check out the xCrowd thread -- much more atmospheric. They got potted plants, mood music, free coffee in the lobby & their receptionist is hawt. It's just three threads over, well worth the scroll.

Shouldn't have fed the trolls You're providing the spam, what do you expect? Voicing my opinion in the hopes to let maturity gain the upper hand again. Stay silent and nothing changes. Whatever interests me, I try to improve it, quite neutral, as I liked the ActiveMining info and took a look

Presumably you would want to be able to discuss things covered by NDAs in the board meetings. That means, obviously, they need to be private. I'm pretty sure board meetings for major corporations are totally private. I know that the HP board conspired to illegally spy on some of their employees at some point - would kind of defeat the point if that was public record (Although, it became public record after the criminal case...) There's kind of a clash of culture between the totally open, Open-source bitcoin world and the very secretive IC world. It seems like there's a culture of just making everything secret and covered by NDA by default, not bothering to see if it's something that even needs to be covered by NDA, like the cost of NRE (Although for the chip maker, it means they can charge different prices for different clients and rip off people with no experience)

Whatever interests me, I try to improve it, quite neutral, as I liked the ActiveMining info and took a look Your opinion; which basically was: "Oh man, people on here are annoying. I shouldn't buy stock. Oh and I'll let them know they are annoying to piss them off." is not going to "let maturity gain the upper hand again." It is going to feed into the whining and bitching on this thread. That is what you are doing. I am not going to argue with you, I am going to let you know that your first post was consisted of whining and bitching. That is it. Now if you truly want this forum to be strictly about the discussion of Active Mining from rational minds who are all invested in the same story that can lead to success or ruin then I hope you will drop any arguments you are currently having on this forum as they are only hurting the company in the long run. Please keep them to PM. This is for everyone: Please stop insulting other investors on this thread. Please do not try to incite arguments on this thread. No one cares if you buy stock or not. No one cares who on this thread you do not like. P.S. I am not trying to offend you or anyone else.

I think that we shouldn't expect the way this board and this company acts to be exactly dictated by how things work in the fiat world. Definitely should take inspiration and methods, but an exact replica is not only unfeasible it won't make sense in some situations. There should definitely be an organized dimension to it for sure though.
Perhaps on the IRC channel shareholders are +'d and the mute command enabled. Allowing spectators to watch and shareholders to participate. Proof would be required in some way, not exactly sure how you'd go about that.
If the board is getting privileged information maybe there should be a form of lock on shares for a short time after board meetings/before information being released until good faith can prevail. I think this may have been discussed previously.

I've always been under the impression this was due to volume differences between the two exchanges.

I've always been under the impression this was due to volume differences between the two exchanges. But volume shouldn't affect the price like we see it does. I believe the price should change slower than a exchange with higher volume. But the price has been around the 0.0053-55 mark on BTCT for some days now. That is what makes me wonder.

BTCT is simply way more popular and trusted. ASICMINER shares have always had the same issues with that..

In Bitfunder there is people that bought at the original AMC IPO at 0'0005 so they are probably more willing to sell at 0'004x that people on BTCT that started buying at a higher price.

IRL you have both a shareholder meeting and a board meeting. The shareholder meeting is open to everyone, the board meeting is not. If you have an open meeting, the board won't be able to discuss aspects of the project under NDA. You can see how that would be a problem, right? I'm not an ActM investor (Well, I did buy one share to test btct.co while I was waiting for the Labcoin IPO). Sooo I don't really care one way or another. But presumably it would be good for the board to be able to discuss what's going with eAsic, which can't be done in a public forum.
