This is a cool game. I like the steampunk-style interface with the cogs and the gears.

The animation is a bit choppy but you guys did a good job making it look like a coin falling through the pins.

What I think would be really cool is if you could use a physics engine to simulate a coin actually falling down.

Thanks for the games.

I feel like it would take a long long time but it's definitely possible.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using Bitcoin to fight crime on: November 15, 2013, 04:33:58 AM
I don't see how this is any better than the current reward system for reporting crimes.

What is the jackpot for this? It looks like there's a really low chance of matching all the numbers.
67  Economy / Gambling / Re: Just-Dice Vulnerability / Exploit on: November 13, 2013, 09:56:45 PM
i have purposefully chosen to lose my final 5 rolls at a 0.0001% variable and surrender my winnings for another person.

The price is set at 30 BTC. I don't care for profits as you can see bellow, i do care to who I reveal this exploit to.

That was very kind of you sir. Why are you only willing to reveal this exploit to people with large BTC stash?

I don't know. But that screenshot looks totally legit....lol

72  Economy / Gambling / Re: FlashyPoker.com seems to be a scam on: November 12, 2013, 03:01:10 AM
Yeah I usually wait for a gambling site to have some more chatter on this forum about it before I go try it out.

Hopefully a rep from 'flashypoker' will chime in here and help you out, otherwise thanks for the warning.

74  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to lose 350 USD in a stupidity on: November 12, 2013, 02:56:41 AM
Well... Here I was planning to have some fun with BitZino... Threw some serious BTC on it, and started playing, hoping it would last an hour.

And then, 30 minutes later, input a extra zero, and bet 1000mBTC by mistake... and notice after I press the bet button, and end with 30mBTC

I look at the screen, shocked, sweating, looking for a surrender, cancel, undo, whatever button, thinking I must NOT lose this.

And then I get dealed a TERRIBLE hand.

Poof, that is how you lose 350 USD in a stupidity.

Now I think cassinos should have a feature that warns you that you are betting 10 times or more than the average of your last bets and ask confirmation... Just in case you pressed a extra zero Sad

Sorry to hear this happened OP! I don't think it would make sense for the casinos to warn you that you are suddenly betting high, since it's a common occurrence.
75  Economy / Gambling / Re: $1 Bitcoin on: November 12, 2013, 02:48:21 AM
Bitcoins are back as a prize on www.gamerholic.com.

Set the high score in a game of tetris, go on a 50 game win streak and you win 1 bitcoin.

each time other players fail to beat your score your win streak is +1

It costs you $1 to play.

This means you could win 1 bitcoin for $1.

Gamerholic
I'm confused about the "50 game win streak".  How do you go on a win streak with Tetris?  Isn't it a game that never ends?

"Win" here means beating the top score. The way I understand this you would need to beat the current top score and then beat your own top score another 49 times consecutively.

There is something else that is much more problematic, specifically

A $2 processing fee applies to all withdrawal requests. Withdraws are processed within 7 business days. Your winnings are sent to the paypal address you made the payment from.

How long have you been running this ? Bitcoins are not involved in this site, even to get tokens into this it looks like the only option is payment by credit card.

This other part from the FAQ is also interesting

Is this legal?
Yes, playing games for virtual currency is not illegal.

There are no virtual currencies involved. Even if there were, I suggest you to not give legal advice like that.

Pretty much what I was thinking.

I'd say not buying more of it when it was in it's infancy.

80  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: If you used Brainwallet.org - MUST READ! - Security Breach! on: November 09, 2013, 02:47:01 AM
I decided to mess around and make a brain wallet.  I used the website www.brainwallet.org.  Supposively, this javascript is client side only.  Anyway, I made a brain wallet and decided to test it.  I moved my spare change (I keep most of my BTC in cold storage) about 0.178 BTC to the new brain wallet I made "15WjmFwpZ1mp3fG55JGoGv3p5y9jtehEB2".  Literally within seconds, it was moved to a new bitcoin address not owned by me "1Lp3S4PajwhuFCyrAXSFdVGxLuqTsXtVQC" https://blockchain.info/address/15WjmFwpZ1mp3fG55JGoGv3p5y9jtehEB2

I am very security conscience and am certain my wallet file was not compromised.  My only thought is the brainwallet website has been compromised instead and some bot is stealing the private keys generated there and then instantly transfering any funds deposited to these compromised wallets to their own bitcoin addresses.  DO NOT USE www.brainwallet.org and if you have used it, then immediately move your funds to a new location ASAP.

I am not complaining though, I only lost 0.178BTC - it could have been much worse.

That's unfortunate! Thanks for letting us know OP.
