61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What coin will trigger the next cryptocurrency explosion IF it is not bitcoin? on: November 12, 2018, 09:43:58 AM
I just read that the next cryptocurrency explosion will not be triggered by bitcoin price surge but another. What do you think it will be and why? I also want to know why it won't be bitcoin since from the very beginning I am a follower and believer of bitcoin.

I don't believe that it would be any coin other than bitcoin. No alt-coin has the same global reach and recognition that bitcoin has. Even if they did great things (some alt-coins already have) they won't get the same level of attention and investment that bitcoin would. If bitcoin had a major partnership with a big company (not that it can because there's no one controlling it, but if some company decided to incoprorate bitcoin in to their day to day runnings) then it would create a big bullish movement.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is happening in BINANCE exchange on: November 11, 2018, 06:35:02 PM
I don't think Binance has anything to do with this, they have a lot of coins listed now so it's quite inevitable that at least one of them will pump once per day. Especially considering they're normally all of the best coins, any major development or partnership news will cause such a pump.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Till date, why is there no crypto that is near Bitcoin's worth? on: November 10, 2018, 06:05:48 PM
To date there is no crypto that comes close to bitcoin in terms of usability and adoption. It's also one of the most decentralized of coins. Finally it was the first so already had a big advantage over the others.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China lifts ban on cryptocurrency on: November 09, 2018, 06:13:23 PM
I'm very skeptical of this and until I see it reported on some more reputable major news outlets I'll consider that it's not true. But fingers crossed that it is because the Chinese market would be a huge addition. Given how the SEC limits US investors, China is probably second and there it is banned.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XYO just screwed their investors after token sale on: November 08, 2018, 09:51:31 AM
This is common practice for a lot of the scammier ICOs. If I had invested in this I would be demanding a refund, if enough people clamour for it then they'll have to offer it. I don't understand why any project needs more than $10m anyway. If they really did need more they could always have started now with less and then done a further crowd sale at a later date once they've got something to show for.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency prices are dropping - what will you do? on: November 06, 2018, 09:16:18 PM
Not sure where you're looking but market has been relatively bullish the last few days, the most bullish it's been in quite some time. I believe it's in anticipation of SEC potentially approving ETFs sometime soon.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are spending thousands of dollars on virtual land [DECENTRALAND] on: November 05, 2018, 06:34:31 PM
I made a video about a virtual reality platform called Decentraland.

What makes Decentraland special is the fact that virtual land here is worth thousands of real dollars since it cannot be confiscated. This is because their database is stored in a distributed ledger with no central authority AKA the Ethereum blockchain.

Trust me guys, this one is different. Or better yet don't trust me, verify it yourself.  They have a real working product and its amazing! I made the video thinking about gamers and VR/AR fans. I did my best to make it look professional. Enjoy the video

https://youtu.be/YQOR-f00hfE

What is stopping someone from just doing the exact same thing and copying them? That way someone else can have the same virtual land, I already see there are other virtual land coins such as arcona.

The same logic could be applied to Bitcoin. Because what is stopping someone from just doing the exact same thing and copying Bitcoin, right? Well, the network effect surely helps. Sure, people can create other virtual worlds in the future but Decentraland will own majority of of gamers' interest due to first mover advantage and as a consequence, user trust.

Only the code can be stolen, not the platform nor the users or the ownership of properties. If someone wants to copy they will need to almost start from scratch. If they copy the world exactly the same and issue a new token, why would anyone wanna be in an imitation platform? They'd rather go to the original so its pointless to do that too

Wouldn't it allow someone to issue the same land just on a different platform? Someone developing VR or AR for that area could pick up the land somewhere else and then the owner on another platform wouldn't really have exclusivity.

Can you rephrase that? I'm not exactly sure what you mean by issue the same land on a different platform.

Well the whole point is that if someone buys that land they can develop VR/AR for it and it's unique to them, so they could be the only ones to offer that experience in times square for example, but what's stopping someone buying the same land on a different platform and offering that, assuming another platform copied them?

70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Selling signal for ETH. on: November 02, 2018, 06:00:34 PM
Hi! As we can see, ETH is collapsing, I got about 40 ETH which I bought for 450$, I know, that was mistake. Please give me advice, should I sell now or take a risk and do it when we reach 150$?

Don't see ETH reaching $150 unless there's issues across the overall market, price has remained steady the last months and I expect that to continue until there's a change towards an upward trend. ETH is a strong buy right now IMO so I wouldn't be selling if I held any.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Winter Is Coming <3 ------- - - ETH - to 2000$ in 2019 JAN. on: November 01, 2018, 05:55:33 PM
hello forum,

so many person told me about this, ETH will 2000$ in JAN, this is possible?
i think - YES.
but its so hard to done, and want so many investition. Big Traders want new income, and i think bullrun is in near future. in - weeks or month.

what is your maximum prices, and which will your favorite COIN and TOKEN if market will green?

we can check peoples choices.

for me This is ETH & Binance token.

ETH won't go to $2000 in Jan of 2019, probably not even in the whole of 2019. It's unlikely we'll have a bull run like 2017 for some time. If ETH can even return to 4 figures in 2019 that would be a fantastic revival for ETH and probably for the whole market. I think many coins can outperform ETH, I'm very bullish on EOS going on to be the no 1 ICO platform.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: COINVEST IS A FUTURE GIANT IN THE CRYPTOCURRENCY MARKET. on: October 30, 2018, 05:52:56 PM

We've seen enough speculations by users to a certain coin only to find out the price drop more than 50% after people have invested to it. I got into its beta version few weeks ago, I find nothing special to it but they do have plans for that hardware wallet, this is the 2nd time they were swapping the old version of the COIN. Wish you luck to this giant.
I think that you are so pessimistic in vain, because the beta version has never been impressed by anything, because it is "empty". Let's see what will happen in the future. By the way, pre-orders for the hardware wallet will be available at the end of this year.
I always like to comprehend something new. if Trezor had and has such popularity, then this project can also give its investors )))

Trezor filled a need though and had first mover advantage, like bitcoin did and does over all other cryptocurrencies. I'm not saying it won't be a success but just because Trezor did and this in theory will be an improvement, does not mean that it will automatically succeed.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: COINVEST IS A FUTURE GIANT IN THE CRYPTOCURRENCY MARKET. on: October 29, 2018, 05:35:39 PM
Guys, I want to present to your attention the project Coinvest - this is an amazing idea, combining a wallet (as trezor, only improved), a decentralized exchanger for the purchase of cryptocurrency for Fiat and a centralized exchange such as Binance or Okex. The development team from Microsoft are working very hard and in the coming months are completing the implementation of the finished product. I think it's a coin worth paying attention to. Given its low market capitalization, I think in the future we can see an increase in the price of the token in the 10-100 times minimum.
You can find the project here: https://coinve.st/

I've had my eye on this for a while and am equally optimistic for future success, the team also seem to be very kind, honest and hard working. As for the idea itself the only limitation is in if people actually want such a thing, for me it would be great due to the added convenience and the time save is immeasurable but many others might be happy not to have such inter-connectivity.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Gloom or Boom? on: October 28, 2018, 10:53:01 AM
Just wait for ETF approval in q1 2019 and we will have a new bullrun.
Also, WhaleTank thinks that bullrun will start in Novemebr
WhaleTank Trade
Sec already rejected ETF a couple of times isn't it enough for you to think that there will be no ETF this year but i am currently watching on the news of Bakkt if there will be some good news from them this year.
Just relax already if you do have a problem with the market it is just a normal cycle in the market and nothing to get serious about it.

Well they did say q1 2019 but even then that seems to be too optimistic, I don't think it would trigger a bullrun anyway, nothing really would at this stage, it would just have to be a gradual shift in outlook from pessimistic/neutral to optimistic. Bakkt are only going to enable more people, they're not really investing anything themselves so again I don't think that will be as big as people are making it out to be.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Gloom or Boom? on: October 27, 2018, 10:42:54 AM

The year 2018 is about to close and yet we are still looking, hoping and even praying for some "miracle" to happen to market that can induce the dreamed bull run we all are wishing for! Some people have already resigned to the idea that maybe it will never happen this year but in the next or 2019 though some are also saying that there are still many days left for this year -- who knows what can be?

I am then wondering: if the so-called bull run will not be happening within this year  do you think we can be facing a gloomy 2019 or will there be an otherwise reaction to it? What do you think...gloom or boom?

The market has been in stagnation for a number of months now, this period can't go on forever and is normally followed by some bullish movement instead of bearish. Of course history is not a fully accurate guide of what will happen in the future. When the good days return it will be 10% increases over a week or two instead of over a day for the first number of months, the market will need to build up momentum again.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which one of these is a shitcoin according to you guys? on: October 25, 2018, 03:23:02 PM

Guys, Ripple, Stellar, Neo, Electroneum, Deep Brain Chain, Digibyte, Pundi X, Crypterium, Nano..I have bought not much but just a little of all these for 1-2 yrs hodl....Anything which is not worthy of investment???

Everyone is going to have a different opinion on each of these, I haven't looked in to detail in too many of them but have never been a fan of ripple because it's not truly decentralized and I've always been skeptical of Electroneum, their USP was mobile mining but they've not come close to delivering on that.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TrueUSD enters the top fifty (by market-cap) on: October 25, 2018, 03:21:30 PM
I trust USDT more than most of the pack of new stable coins) USDT exist for a long time and there were no any real problems with it, just lots of rumors)

Said everyone about Enron before the financial crisis. Just because something can exist for a period of time without its troubles being unearthed doesn't mean that it has solid foundations and can be trusted completely. No one really knows if tether is safe other than tether themselves so it's up to each person to make their own value judgment.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TrueUSD enters the top fifty (by market-cap) on: October 23, 2018, 03:45:39 PM
TrueUSD, till 1 month back, wasn't even in the top hundred. On a daily basis, it's getting printed and gaining more & more marketcap:

IMO, it's not very good. We're just witnessing another Tether getting into power; what we really need is a powerful Gemini Dollar (GUSD) or Paxos Standard Token (PAX), which are truly backed by a dollar.

We only know about TUSD as much as we know about Tether; both of these just can't be trusted!

It's not an issue if it's actually backed up by true dollar reserves, and I'd rather anything replace tether right now, I guess it's a devil we know or not situation. I don't think we really need so many choices in stable coins, I like the look of the one the Winklevoss twins have introduced, mostly because you can be sure that they have the money themselves to back it.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are we about to see another dive in crypto prices? on: October 22, 2018, 09:26:53 PM
Trading volumes are at all times low plus stablecoin showing some concerns..  If BTC breaks through $6K mark, we might be in a free fall for some time again. Any thoughts?

It's hard to say with absolute certainty but I don't think that such an event is coming. 6k bottom has held strong and market seems to be in consolidation. The only real concern I have regarding potential further falls in the overall market are around stablecoins that you mentioned. If Tether were to go under in some sort of exit scheme then that would inevitably have knock-on effects to the market. I don't think that would happen at this moment in time but that's just based on gut feeling than much else. I suspect if tether was going to collapse it would have been more likely to happen in the early parts of the year when the price went from 20k to 6k
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sia coin price rising before hard fork on: October 21, 2018, 06:10:07 PM
It's the same with near all hard forks and then the price will return almost to how it was before once the fork has completed. If I had SIA I would sell just a few days before the fork and look to buy back once the fork had been completed.
