61  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Minergate! SCAM on: September 19, 2017, 06:58:59 AM

This. I use their software for CPU mining for over a year already. Haven't had any problems so far.

Holy hell man, you've been using the MG miner for over a year and never bothered to try another miner? Huh You've mined at a 25-50% potential loss this entire time because you choose ease of use with a shit unoptimzed miner rather than spending 5 minutes to learn how to edit a config/bat file for a 3rd party miner.

Like ok, you're free to use the shitty pool everyone else thinks/knows is shit... But at least don't use their terrible miners that are pure junk and killing your potential profits even further.

Currency volatility was an issue on these other sites as well, although it's somewhat extreme with SIGT at the moment due to its being so new.  I'm sure once the volatility decreases and/or the value steadily increases it won't be so much an issue.  Sites that used BTC had sellers adjust prices manually add they didn't have any automated corrections.

That's definitely an interesting idea though. The market could even provide the seller an option of price corrected listings or "brave the market" listings where one could win or lose depending on how the coin value changes.

No doubt, thanks. Yeah that's just the big hurdle to mass adoption for these type of things. Like enterprises don't want to throw money at Sia not knowing what the hell they are actually paying, and hosters also don't want to host for well below what they actually expected. They need one more layer of development where there's some type of actual currency pegged to it. All fine and dandy to actually pay with the coins, but it has to be a "I pay X amount and my $ just convert into coin as I sign the contract".

So same goes for SIGT. Sure some would gladly like to spin the roulette wheel with the listings... But me personally, and I'm sure plenty others, wouldn't be game to gamble what price we sell at and therefore never even bother thinking of using it. I'd like to know if the coin shits the bed in value, my listing could be changed or updated on the fly. Not worry about some hawks trying to capitalize on a nosediving coin and then swoop in to buy. Ebay has buy it now listings and minimum bid listings for a reason. But yep, we can all agree eBay blows haha.

^^ They do use escrow for it.

And then to continue on with the question I had that got a few answers (thank you)... Why have the marketplace be tied to a coin though? As in I understand why a coin is used, just like why Sia uses a coin (decentralization)...

But wouldn't the marketplace find itself stuck with the same problem Sia has for its sellers (hosters), where because coins are volatile the seller might have listed their laptop at $750 (in whatever amount SIGT that equals), but then get less than they expected in the end?

You might list at $750 worth of SIGT, but if coin crashes 30%, that's a lot of money out the window that you didn't expect to have happen when you finally sold the item.

So is there in place (or plans to implement) some kind of auto scaling list price?

Sorry if that question potentially has an easy answer as I didn't dig too deeply into checking out the marketplace yet. But that's just the glaring issue with these type of fiat linked cryptos.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: August 19, 2017, 02:51:23 AM
So forgive the naive question... But what is the point of the whole privacy aspect, when in the end you'll be shipping a product to a name and an address? Is the whole selling point simply the fact that you can launder money into goods through the marketplace? Or what am I missing here?

While great to see the marketplace up and running, think I'm still in the camp of people that was glad to have cashed out near the tops (4500, then 1900 other day). Might start mining/trading again if I see price action reflect marketplace launch, but just not really convinced the coin is anything more than proof of concept and initial hype. I'm also mining with AMD, so it's much easier for me to decide to walk away from mining this coin haha.

I realized from beginning without even needing to sniff traffic you were stealing the shares from the "Real Devfee Mining" period, and that would've been all fine and dandy if you just said that.... But nope, you had to do it on the down low and not tell people, thus scare them away after you got exposed for hiding that truth.

Because really now, who offers people money to post about their program on forums... If you're not making money off it? That's the sole reason I realized from the start you're just a scammer at heart. Grab a brain with them coder skills, don't be like the FB fake profile people that use pics of girls with their ass n titties hanging out so you immediately know they're fake.

Are you on claymore's team lol? Stop being salty over a thing that you didnt even sure of. Im not a programmer but The losing share problem isnt a new thing and many people using no devfee patches like this(not only this) have reported reduced hashrate/share sometimes its not the makers who is to blame, claymore isnt stupid and his program has some sort of foolproof even after you patch it and it needs more workaround to perfectly run the miner optimal without fees so. Even some people recommend to use ethminer instead with mods its reported have equal speed with claymore. Its hard to share this kind of knowledge and share it publicly look at many ppl posting in this thread for example, some of them have find the solutions to hack this miner and yet all they do is just bragging and talking bullshit in this thread without helping. The OP here are quite active and answering all the question as much as he could. Thats why there are so many patches bcs it isnt something you do in one night and alone. Its pathetic to see ppl like your in this thread why do u even go in if you think this is a scam lol

Yes, how terrible of me to point out the dev has no scruples. How terrible of me to highlight that he intentionally hid his motives behind the program Sad Other devs have no problem laying it right out in the open they take a cut for their work, and we openly accept that... But bad me for harping on the fact this dev thinks the underhanded route was the way to go. Then also adding fuel to the fire by lying his ass off every time someone pointed it out. Bad me, good Falcon.

And yes, apparently me trying out various no dev fee programs/proxies to avoid giving the dev fee away means I'm on Claymore's team  Huh

Is this you, Falcon?  Grin

DAG fix drivers released today... For any that already had them installed from the unknown source that leaked a few days ago, hopefully you didn't gain some nasty added shit on your computer due to your inability to wait a few days longer Smiley

Link to driver release notes and driver download:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition-Beta-for-[Suspicious link removed]pute-Release-Notes.aspx

hmmm, ok apparently AMD is a suspicious link lol... The part it hides from the link is "Blockchain-Com"

Link to newest beta of Afterburner that isn't nuked from working due to the recent driver updates:
http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5459908&postcount=637

I haven't re-installed stock bios to see what it truly gained me, but with modded bios it seems to only be maybe ~.4Mh/s faster.

And ofcourse, a reminder to re-apply pixel patcher after updating the driver.

67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Ethereum Mining NoDevFee v7.1 on: August 12, 2017, 12:23:58 AM
Lol first his hard drive with the source code bit the dust. Then when people call him out on stealing shares he had issues with getting online to discredit the claims.

You suck as a marketer and goodwill creator. You took a program people would still use if it meant 1 of the dev fee rounds went to you, and turned it into a program people are afraid to even run for fear of other nefarious shit going on under the hood.

I realized from beginning without even needing to sniff traffic you were stealing the shares from the "Real Devfee Mining" period, and that would've been all fine and dandy if you just said that.... Can we set the difficulty level in the bat file on Suprnova like we can on Yiimp?

Whenever I start the miner I'll get the big rewards because my difficulty hasn't adjusted down yet, and then once it auto-adjusts down the payout rewards turn to poop every block. What I get first minute will take like the next 10-15 minutes to equal... And when you're using AMDs that get like half the rate of comparable Nvidia's, every possible tweak counts.

So I'd rather just submit that 1 worthwhile share every block (or every other block since suprnova block times so fast), than get like 15 (etc) worthless shares every block.

The payouts are a difference of like .2 (for that 1 worthwhile share) to .005 to .02 for those multiple worthless share blocks. So anyway you slice it a big payout every 1-2 blocks is still better than that mini payout every block.

And yes, I know it's supposed to even out in the end, but it really doesn't ever seem like it will lol

For someone who wrote this 2 days ago in this thread, quote:

.. you still seem to be interested in this coin, how come?

Btw the answet to your question: yes -p d=0.1 or 0.05. but dont expect to get any more coins out of this.

Cheers

Haha thanks, thought I had tried that since looks same as yiimp's (and got an auto-close), but will try again. I figured would be of no benefit, but just really seems to never line up. And I know nova had issues with low diff shares going in the dumpster few days ago, so worth it to try manual setting.

And hey now! Never said I wouldn't come back, just that I know when it's time to cash out and let the dust settle before next move. Got no vested interest/capital in this, will hold a small leftover stash as a lotto ticket but I'm just here for the payday Smiley Took a day off to see that though block rewards halved, so did the miners, and the price is semi-stabilized at a still profitable range. If coin drops a decent bit more I'll be out for good though, but for now it seems to still beat going back to ETH.

*Aww, guess someone else responded less civilly after you and thinks you gotta be team SIGT or die. Shit's cute, love when people get attached to their penny stocks Smiley

Hi:

I have the same card, I was trying your bios but my pc stops the drivers, I tried atikmdag-patcher with no luck, any ideas?.

Thx very much,

Carlos

Read ^^^^^ a few posts for the answer, as I had just asked it. Drop your mem clock down a bit.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 560 4GB Ethereum on: August 10, 2017, 12:06:35 AM
Was finally able to start messing around with the bios after work, and currently able to hit ~13.990 Mh/s (Claymore 9.7, hadn't upgraded to 9.8 as I reverted back from 17.7.2 drivers same day they released since it nuked Afterburner) without any memory errors or card crashes. This was with Afterburner set at 1050/1990. Will keep playing around with it to see if I can reach above the 14 mark, but if not, I'm certainly beyond content with where it is.

I had also done a quick benchmark for XMR with those same settings, and it boosted the hashrate a good +100 H/s Smiley Went from an original ~320 h/s with OC alone to a little above 420 h/s at the 1050/1990 (Claymore Cryptonote 9.7). Bumping core clock into the 1200s seemed good for a slight increase, but not really worthwhile as it was only an added ~10 H/s.

Thanks again for sharing your bios Siberian, and Branko for the suggestion of how to go about troubleshooting the initial crashes! Smiley
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 560 4GB Ethereum on: August 09, 2017, 10:16:34 AM

Hi! My GPU has an additional 6-pin power. Strap 1500 is original, 1625, 1750, 2000, 2250 - it's strap 1500 from the GPU with the memory of Micron. You can try to compensate for the increased power consumption by reduce the Core Clock or lowering the Power Limit, but I'm not sure that this will help. I want to note, that only 6 of my GPUs work without errors with Memory Clock 2020, 3 GPU had to be delivered in 1950.

Appreciate the reply! Thanks for all the insights to go off of as I test things out.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 560 4GB Ethereum on: August 09, 2017, 09:27:39 AM

download

https://www.hwinfo.com/download.php

run it and start your mining with low clock (1900MHz or something) and track memory errors in hwinfo
raise your frequency until errors show up
congratulations, you found max safe clock that won't crash your card Smiley

Thanks a bunch and much appreciated for setting me in the right direction Branko! Will start testing things out with it. Besides messing with the power limit I had only tried dropping the mem clock back down to 2000 (and it crashed), so I know that #s not safe at least haha.

And sorry I hadn't broken down asking for your services/bios yet Sad Just really been unsure if I'll keep the card, or throw it back on ebay for small profit. Had gotten lucky few weeks ago grabbing the card (supposedly) brand new extra cheap by finding one of those terribly titled auctions that nobody views. So bought mainly with the intentions to use as a small extra bump hold-over card until I saw if the rest of the card prices started to drop/supplies returned.

Hi, guys!
I have Gigabyte GV-RX560 GAMING OC-4GD (Hynix(((), without overclocking I have 10.6 Mh/s.
Overclocking memory to 2000, brings an insignificant result. I have over9000 times tried to flash BIOS with different timings, but without success. Once I saw 16 Mh/s, but the driver left at once.
Substituting timings from Micron got 14 Mh/s at 2000 memory frequency it seems kind of stable, but HWinfo shows a lot of memory errors.
The best that could be achieved is 12.9 Mh/s and the overclocking of the memory of 1850 (with a small number of errors). I did not see in this topic that someone paid attention to memory errors. The question is: why does no one monitor errors? P.S.: GPU8 is 1050Ti. P.P.S: Sorry for my french.

Try to downclock core clock to 1050 - 1059. You will see higher rate and a little bit lower power comsumption Wink

Reducing the core frequency to 1050 has really slightly increased the Hash rate, now with a memory frequency of 1900 I have 13.5 Mh/s, with practically no memory errors, more has not yet been achieved. Thank you! The BIOS inserts values from the GPU with Micron memory https://cloud.mail.ru/public/ERgR/GpdGBMexD.

get back initial strap 1500 timing. after that you will be able to increase memory speed more than 2000+

Nukl, thank you very much for your advice! Now I can access the 2020 Mhz Memory Clock, and I have 14.4 Mh/s, that's enough for me (Claymore's 9. 8 ). Maybe my BIOS will be useful to someone (GV-RX560GAMING-OC-4GD (Hynix)). https://cloclo9.datacloudmail.ru/weblink/thumb/xw1/7qBU/R63dT3HVj/rx560.jpg?x-email=undefined, https://cloud.mail.ru/public/JUgC/uwfjv8sJR.

Much appreciated for sharing!

Was your card with the 6pin or without? Your mod was the first to actually give my MSI Aero ITX (Hynix with no 6pin) a solid boost. All the others I've tried seemed to just bump me up around 1Mh/s or actually drop my hash rate. With your mod I went from ~10.9 to ~14.3.

BUT it soon crashes afterwards, so just unsure if I need to try and feed it more power limit, or try and drop the mem clock a bit... Or totally avoid trying to use your bios (hopefully not haha).

What I took from your bios was copying 1500 strap upwards, and copying your max mem freq of 2250. The rest of our #s seemed to line up.

In my quick troubleshooting so far I had tried bumping power limit to 20%, and then 50%, and then max 75%, but all still result in crashing. And since those attempts failed, I'm assuming that means you have the 6pin power Sad

So certainly not looking for you troubleshoot, but if you had any suggestions for my course of action I'd be extra thankful. Really not skilled with modding the bios besides copy/paste, so even just hearing a simple "it wont work regardless" would be beneficial.

Anyways, thanks again for sharing!

You guys are unbearable, you act like if someone cashes out they can never ever think to buy back in or show their face here. I'm not posting a year after I sold, it's been like what? 16 hours? Ah fuck, sold some AMD stock at the highs, banned for life from buying back in after the drop.

Nobody else gave dude advice, and it certainly sounds like he was throwing out all the stops trying to convince himself time is the answer to all the problems.

Crate Mayne = FUD ... if you sold what are you still doing here

I'm sorry I'm not allowed to still see the price action/look at chatter to determine if there's anymore legs to it?
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: August 09, 2017, 03:35:49 AM
I got in with just over 10k SIGT from mining and moving ZEC funds over in the 4000 SAT range, now it's almost half that.  Thinking of riding it out for as long as it takes as this is still an excellent coin.  What are some thoughts about how the price will play out now that halving has occurred?  It's much harder to mine so I'd think the value will increase at some point, even before devs deliver on marketplace or listing on additional exchanges.  Does anyone else thing the price will recover prior to this?  I'm optimistic still

I had sold before the drop so probably not the guy you want to hear from, but just wanted to give a voice of reason as it sounds like you're trying to convince yourself the losses will magically erase themselves if you wait long enough. Things usually don't work out that way and just result in seeing bigger losses. Better to walk away with some than none. A day trader can't win them all, and loves a stop loss for that very reason.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: August 09, 2017, 03:31:21 AM
I repeat my talk about price "As i had said at page 188, it will drop to 2k, and keep price for some days."
Because current price is still over SIGT value, it only increase when dev release MarketPlace.

Did you just deposit the funds? It might still be waiting for the 20 confirmations (or whatever # it requires), and then it'll switch over to available balance.

If that's not the reason, then maybe you're trying to buy too much at once? The most simple account type that I signed up for with Cryptopia only allows a daily limit of $5000 NZ (whatever that translates into for USD).

You guys should've cashed out while you had the chance, but you got greedy expecting a 1000x winner from something built on nothing more than hype. Rule # 1 of penny stock land... Cash the funk out of massive gains, don't hold expecting more profits down the line because after a return to reality sets in that just leads to crying and being a bagholder.

And hopefully some will realize this isn't a gloating message, but a message of me trying to help others learn. You take what the market gives, you don't stick around longterm for more profits that'll never come. Maybe this coin has a future, but likely it doesn't, and therefore you secure your profits. 9 out of 10 crypto coins have no future and serve no purpose but to make the creators rich (just like the penny stock market). So exploit that situation, don't be a victim to it.

I kept a few leftover coins incase something good happens down the line, but I walk away not hating myself because I wasn't blinded with greed. 4500 was my exit, and I'm quite happy with that knowing I'm never having to pray for another pump down the line. This coin can cease to exist tomorrow and I wouldn't care, my money and profits are safe.

Best of luck to those still holding, may you and my small leftover stash see more gains. But don't be surprised if they dont.

whos greedy? ive already made lots on this playing it up and down like I do with reg stocks... nothing is a 100 percent winner...im buying low... like all crypto, it goes up and down.. ALL CRYPTOS GET PUMPED AND DUMPED, you must be new to the game.. and by posting a message saying your not gloating is exactly that, gloating.. buh bye

Don't be a douche, you'd be surprised how many people don't realize there is no happy endings in penny land. Sorry to hopefully try and get that message across to those people. And I saw your message while back, you traded like 300 coins, so I'd hope you wouldn't become poor if they went to 0.
