Hi, guys! I have Gigabyte GV-RX560 GAMING OC-4GD (Hynix(((), without overclocking I have 10.6 Mh/s. Overclocking memory to 2000, brings an insignificant result. I have over9000 times tried to flash BIOS with different timings, but without success. Once I saw 16 Mh/s, but the driver left at once. Substituting timings from Micron got 14 Mh/s at 2000 memory frequency it seems kind of stable, but HWinfo shows a lot of memory errors. The best that could be achieved is 12.9 Mh/s and the overclocking of the memory of 1850 (with a small number of errors). I did not see in this topic that someone paid attention to memory errors. The question is: why does no one monitor errors? P.S.: GPU8 is 1050Ti. P.P.S: Sorry for my french. https://cloclo41.datacloudmail.ru/weblink/thumb/xw1/FBcu/an3GMrmAg/560.jpgTry to downclock core clock to 1050 - 1059. You will see higher rate and a little bit lower power comsumption Reducing the core frequency to 1050 has really slightly increased the Hash rate, now with a memory frequency of 1900 I have 13.5 Mh/s, with practically no memory errors, more has not yet been achieved. Thank you! The BIOS inserts values from the GPU with Micron memory https://cloud.mail.ru/public/ERgR/GpdGBMexD. get back initial strap 1500 timing. after that you will be able to increase memory speed more than 2000+ Nukl, thank you very much for your advice! Now I can access the 2020 Mhz Memory Clock, and I have 14.4 Mh/s, that's enough for me (Claymore's 9. 8 ). Maybe my BIOS will be useful to someone (GV-RX560GAMING-OC-4GD (Hynix)). https://cloclo9.datacloudmail.ru/weblink/thumb/xw1/7qBU/R63dT3HVj/rx560.jpg?x-email=undefined, https://cloud.mail.ru/public/JUgC/uwfjv8sJR. Much appreciated for sharing! Was your card with the 6pin or without? Your mod was the first to actually give my MSI Aero ITX (Hynix with no 6pin) a solid boost. All the others I've tried seemed to just bump me up around 1Mh/s or actually drop my hash rate. With your mod I went from ~10.9 to ~14.3. BUT it soon crashes afterwards, so just unsure if I need to try and feed it more power limit, or try and drop the mem clock a bit... Or totally avoid trying to use your bios (hopefully not haha). What I took from your bios was copying 1500 strap upwards, and copying your max mem freq of 2250. The rest of our #s seemed to line up. In my quick troubleshooting so far I had tried bumping power limit to 20%, and then 50%, and then max 75%, but all still result in crashing. And since those attempts failed, I'm assuming that means you have the 6pin power So certainly not looking for you troubleshoot, but if you had any suggestions for my course of action I'd be extra thankful. Really not skilled with modding the bios besides copy/paste, so even just hearing a simple "it wont work regardless" would be beneficial. Anyways, thanks again for sharing! Hi! My GPU has an additional 6-pin power. Strap 1500 is original, 1625, 1750, 2000, 2250 - it's strap 1500 from the GPU with the memory of Micron. You can try to compensate for the increased power consumption by reduce the Core Clock or lowering the Power Limit, but I'm not sure that this will help. I want to note, that only 6 of my GPUs work without errors with Memory Clock 2020, 3 GPU had to be delivered in 1950.

Hello JPMHIN, Thank you very much for your share. Have you tried running HWiNFO to check for memory errors? I have the same GPUs, tried once running my BIOS like yours, but it was really impossible due to memory errors. Going to try again with your settings. Thanks!

Was finally able to start messing around with the bios after work, and currently able to hit ~13.990 Mh/s (Claymore 9.7, hadn't upgraded to 9.8 as I reverted back from 17.7.2 drivers same day they released since it nuked Afterburner) without any memory errors or card crashes. This was with Afterburner set at 1050/1990. Will keep playing around with it to see if I can reach above the 14 mark, but if not, I'm certainly beyond content with where it is. I had also done a quick benchmark for XMR with those same settings, and it boosted the hashrate a good +100 H/s Went from an original ~320 h/s with OC alone to a little above 420 h/s at the 1050/1990 (Claymore Cryptonote 9.7). Bumping core clock into the 1200s seemed good for a slight increase, but not really worthwhile as it was only an added ~10 H/s. Thanks again for sharing your bios Siberian, and Branko for the suggestion of how to go about troubleshooting the initial crashes!

Read ^^^^^ a few posts for the answer, as I had just asked it. Drop your mem clock down a bit.

Sorry, it seems I was not clear enough, my systems disabled my card, I couldn't low or up anything, its solved now, I installed 17.4.4 drivers ran atkmdag-patcher and 14,2 MH/s dual mining+decred =). Thx, Carlos

Since your DAG creation took 5500 ms then your memory bus width is 256 bit or something like this. It means this is not Radeon RX 560

Did anyone manage to get memory errors in hwinfo on cards based on micron memory?
My cards always restart/BSOD before any errors show up, leading me to conclusion that either micron memory don't report errors or controller can't read them from micron, or hwinfo doesn't support reading errors from micron
Hynix based cards behave normal

Haha. I dont think there is any use in mining with rx 580 560 or any version like this. These are very week gpu in the industry. You can try any miner from 710 gtx onwards to get most of the profits from the pools. The thing is 580 and 560 are not capable of generating the atmost hashrate. The heating is too much and the design is not moderate for cooling down the heat. Anyway thats my point of view. but i wont prefer them.

Btw, I think I found a bit of reason why Hynix on Gigabyte RX560 don't OC too well: R0 version of that hynix chip seems to be 6GHz version, so on stock frequency its actually already overclocked, for 7GHz it should be T2 version If anyone else took photo of their ram chips and have T2 version, please post picture and card type here

Thank you. It's really improve my PowerColor RX560 Hynix, but not much. I can't set memory clock over 1900, so my hashrate only 13MB (original is 12.2).

Branko, or anyone else that might know; how often should the cards get re-pasted? My have been running ~55°C for about 3 months now.

What do you mean by "re-pasted"? If you mean thermal grease paste, most of cards don't even have cooler on memory (gigabyte does have, too bad they use shitty hynix RAM on some of cards) and if you mine ethereum paste on GPU should be OK, as you can underclock and undervolt GPU without affecting hashrates much. 55C is like nothing
