61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be a national treasure. on: August 17, 2018, 09:03:45 AM
Bitcoin is truly a treasure for someone who achieved even a single piece of it. Its value transcends that of a precious gold dust, proven that most people spend most of their time and effort to gain one bitcoin atleast. One can say that a bitcoin can replace everything; from salary, currency and that of a treasure. A country with its citizen having much reserve of bitcoins can be a powerful economic advantage.

Can we consider bitcoins as national treasure of a country comsidering its economic significance?

it may indeed happen in the future.
but as of now all of the things you have stated above sounds an exaggeration for me.
because as of now bitcoin isn't accepted by every people worldwide as a currency.
some doesn't even know about it yet.
that is why we still needed to educate others about this.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is blockbuster technology a good career for a student on: August 17, 2018, 04:48:16 AM
Blockchain Technology is a Great Technology We all know about it We know that in which field it can work What do you all think about it for a student Technology will prove to be a good career

at first i thought i misread the title of this thread. Cheesy
blockbuster..
but nevertheless being engage in blockchain technology is truly a challenging one.
specially for the younger generation.
nowadays we are in conceptual age and one of the best ways to harness it is through exposition with blockchain technology.
and despite being already available for years now i believe that it still has to improve.
that is why it will really be valuable if we will learn it as early as possible.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NO! Do Not Invest all you have on Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies on: August 16, 2018, 11:29:51 PM
totally agree on what the OP have said.
always remember that despite the success that a lot of people has experienced with their engagement on cryptocurrency this will still not a guarantee that a newcomer will experience the same.
so therefore everyone must bear in minds that everything they put in crypto could one day be gone.
let us all be careful in every decision we make on our dealings with it...

64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Day traders OUT! IN pure crypto holders. on: August 16, 2018, 12:05:59 PM
Now that market seems always falling down these will prevent day traders to day trade crypto which relatively most of the money from the investors will going to end up day trading with some of the individuals who were always looking after at the graph of crypto market price movement. Now I think they should better be gone. Without these day traders market price could go a good increase all the way. I hope they will not come back.

day traders may indeed cause adverse effect in the market.
especially those who just started in doing it because they are very susceptible in selling their assets whenever they see a decline in the market.
so i am with your opinion that it will be better for cryptocurrency community in general for them to be gone....

65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DECENTRALIZED OR CENTRALIZED? on: August 16, 2018, 01:01:17 AM

Many individuals agree and have the same opinion about bitcoin as decentralized digital asset, a system without a central bank or single administrator is more favourable.
But somehow, numerous citizens want also the bitcoin to be centralized, because others believes it can remove barricades and walls to allow more easily reached and democratized financial and economic infrastructure.
For you what is your own perspective regarding this matter?

bitcoin became popular in the past because it offered it's users a decentralized form of financial system and people patronized it for what it is.
as for those who wanted to make it centralized i don't think they really understand the meaning of cryptocurrency.
if they really wanted that kind of system then why do they have to insist on using bitcoin, they can always go back to fiat currency if they want to.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Should I do if my bitcoin has been stolen, and where should i complain ? on: August 15, 2018, 12:39:53 PM
Hi Friends, actually one of my BTC address from Zebpay account having almost 0.01550 BTC has been hacked and the amount has been stolen just few days ago. The amount was not quite big for me, but i really fear about the security of holding the BTC in exchanges and now even in wallets.

I Just want to know is there any ways i can get back my BTC back to my account and also is there any website or authority who can help me out in getting back my stolen BTC, let me know about it. Also let me know what safety measurement should i take while holding my BTC in Exchanges. Thanks in advance.

i think what you mean is someone have stolen your account from a particular exchange and not a stolen address.
but regardless it will still be very hard to retrieve it even if you will contact the administrator of that exchange.
like what others have said your assets will only be protected as much as you what security you can offer to it.
always remember that you have the sole responsibility for the safekeeping of your accounts and addresses...
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please Explain on: August 15, 2018, 06:14:48 AM
I dont really get you guy's whenever you encounter situation like this you panic because the price goes down.

If you really trust this technology why are you losing your hope everytime there is  a small storm coming on bitcoin? Panicking makes you blind on what you really need to do, Instead of investing more because it is a good opportunity to buy you are selling your bitcoin's and taking your loss.  Cheesy

This is what those whales really want to happen wait for the price dump and take that opportunity to invest more while you are selling your bitcoin on cheaper prices.

I hope this post will enlighten your mind.  Smiley

we really can't deny the fact that there are a lot of cryptocurrency users whose primary reason being in here is to seek investments.
that is why whenever they see the market falls down they will also be easily swayed to sell their assets, which then results to greater dips.
that is why it is very advisable to those who would want to join cryptocurrency to first research deeper about it.
cryptocurrency is not just a mere investment opportunity, it is a lot more than that.

68  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you still holding when market price falls abnormally? on: August 15, 2018, 04:35:54 AM
I like to know your stand against the current market price falls down that relatively almost in the danger zone for the crypto holders if they still hold their crypto it might be one day that they will going to lose all their money. My ideals is different i had to sell it though it means that i had to lose some of my money. Anyway i could invest again when market price recovers but not for now seeing crypto market looks so bad. Will you still hold?

First of all i would like to further inquire with what do you mean with the word you used which is abnormal.
I cannot call the current market nowadays as abnormal simply because having sudden dip and rise has been the trend for  cryptocurrencies eversince.
And with regards to the question if i will continue to hold into it despite its current status, i have and will always be a holder no matter what the market is.
I am here not because i just wanted to earn more, but most especially since i wanted to be one of the persons pushing the use of cryptocurrency worldwide.
I am here for bitcoin's ideals.....
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Coin's.... What should be done? on: August 14, 2018, 11:56:25 PM
Hello Everyone,

I recently came across many coins which were made to scam from the beginning .... putting up high ROI and huge returns compelled people to join the race and in few days time the dev's scoop out leaving large number of investors stranded and summing up huge loss ... some I know gather bits from there income and trusted a coin and invested in it... some had surplus to play around but ultimately everyone lost their money to some sneaky guy who made the coin... Im sure this is the way world moves but as an individual I seriously think that there must be a way to let people get what they lost so as to keep the faith in cryptocurrencies... as I personally feel that if this trend goes on I m sure everyone will turn around from cryptocurrencies... I would personally like few opinions from the community as to what can be done... please add to the list below what you all think

1. Take the source code off existing scam and turn it into a valuable asset so everybody who invested get the returns and more community joins in.
2. Keep up a system which keeps track of the developer and should compel them to regularly communicate so it dont get marked as scam.
3. ?? please add your view

Regards

I think your second solution will be so much complicated especially since there are coins who wants to promote anonymousity of its users. Which will then make devs unwilling to divulge their identities.
.
For me one of the best way to avoid falling into scams is to first study and research extensively on the coin or token you wanted to invest with.
Do not be enticed simply because everyone is already investing on it.
Do your personal research first...
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits? on: August 14, 2018, 09:55:09 PM
We all know how risky bitcoin is. Let's imagine the most riskiest money deposit situation.
What do you think guys, will this moment ever come and banks decide to offer us Bitcoin deposits (e.g. fixed profit on 1 year deposit and etc).
This can be very, very profitable for banks if they make correct decisions.
P.S I don't mean freebitco.in's offer of holds on their wallet. I mean if official banks ever offer us this service.

I do believe that in the future banks will offer this kind of thing.
They will be accepting cryptocurrency deposits.
.
But as a holder i dont think it will be beneficial for us to rely on banks for the safekeeping of our cryptocurrency assets.
First of all we will be doing against the aim of crypto which is to create a decentralized form of currency.
And by giving banks the ability to do this then its as if we are just getting back to what has happened with our fiat.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin become an asset on: August 14, 2018, 03:17:05 AM
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/south-korean-supreme-court-rules-bitcoin-asset/

I read about this news that in south korea bitcoin is legally become recognizeable as asset. I do think bitcoin is a currency and not an asset. I dont know whether this is good news or not for cryptocurrency. One thing i believe with legalization from goverment i do think more investors will come to invest in bitcoin, but i think if bitcoin become an asset its not as it suppose to because i believe bitcoin should be a currency which is currency is for transaction and asset is not for transaction.

Eventhough i hate to admit it bitcoin today is really being valued as an asset and not as a currency anymore.
Most investors accumulate bitcoin not because they would want to spend it on their daily transactions but they want to keep it for possible future gain.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why bitcoin won't last long (which are you afraid of?) on: August 10, 2018, 11:00:06 AM
After surfing through the good side of BItcoin I was asked to give reasons why bitcoin won't last by a friend I searched through the web and found the following

1: Exposure to Bitcoin-Specific Scams and Fraud.
2: Black Market Activity May Damage Reputation and Usefulness.
3: Susceptible to High Price Volatility.
4: No Chargebacks or Refunds.
5: Potential to Be Replaced by Superior Cryptocurrency.
6:Environmental Ills of Bitcoin Mining.
7: Bitcoins Are Not Widely Accepted.
8: Wallets Can Be Lost.
9: Risk of Unknown Technical Flaws
10: No Physical Form

Guess what non of those mentioned above was big enough to discourage my friend from joining Cryptocurrency (buying bitcoin).

Which of the following disadvantages are you afraid of and how do you think it can be resolved

among this i am most afraid in the number 1 scenario.
and we cannot deny the fact that this is one of the biggest reason why cryptocurrency today is not being widely accepted yet.
people who have tried to enter into it were met by this fraudster.
and as a result this created a bad image for cryptocurrency nowadays.

bitcoin being a currency may be the vision of those whose created it.
but as of now we cant deny the fact that people nowadays treat it more as an asset rather than a currency.
they think of it as a means to gain more profit and do not use it on every day transactions.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't worry, Bitcoin will be fine. on: August 08, 2018, 12:35:26 AM
we really cant deny the fact that there are a lot of investors nowadays that is on cryptocurrency simply because they treat it as same with stock market wherein the see it as a means of increasing their assets.
which is why every time they see a sudden fall on the rice they will also automatically sell their holdings fearing that the market may even fall lower.
without considering the fact that bitcoin isn't simply like that, there is more to it and they must understand how it works.
only a true holders knows the future for bitcoin and they will be patient for it Cheesy
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the world ready for cryptocurrency? on: August 07, 2018, 11:38:09 AM
Although there are a few countries who uses bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies now, I cannot help but wonder if the world is truly ready for this digital currency? It will certainly be hard to replace all currencies in the world but it could happen in a decade or so, perhaps even less? Still the question is, is the world ready? I think if this happens it might be one of the biggest changes that will happen worldwide.

i think not yet....
there may already be a lot of people that uses cryptocurrency but the majority of population doesn't use it yet.
aside from that there are governments that has reservations against it.
we must still continue to educate other people so that cryptocurrency will be accepted worldwide
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Panic sellers, please head for the exit (and don't come back) on: August 07, 2018, 11:15:57 AM
Dear Panic Sellers,

If the news about Google Ads and Facebook, as well as bubble-bursting warnings from "respectable" institutions such as universities, economists, banks, opinion makers, investors and governments have convinced you to sell your coins,

If you let yourself be influenced by the messages and actions from these corporations and governments,

You have not understood a single thing about Satoshi's libertarian dream of decentralization and liberty and cannot cope with the responsibility that comes with these liberties. You were only hoping for some quick profit to sell for fiat... Now that you're losing dollars, you are crying all the way... well... to the bank.

I hope you got out completely and never will return, because I am convinced you are as big a threat to Satoshi's dream as the corporations and law-makers that convinced you to panic sell.

PS: To my fellow believers: HODL.  Smiley

I really like the way how you make your OP.
it may indeed be a bit harsh but we must also be firm on our decisions.
One thing thing panic sellers may be lacking though is that they perceived bitcoin just as an investment.
which is why they are quick on selling every time they see the market fall.
they must also remember that bitcoin has a greater goal for each of us and that is freedom from financial institutions.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Low prices and bad comments are taking the confidence of the Newbies? on: August 03, 2018, 01:17:52 AM
When the price drops, there are many bad comments coming from different directions. The Newbies are most affected by this. Because if someone wants to invest, they are lagging behind for those bad comments and they are afraid also. Is this reason their Confidence Level is not low?

I think we should stop our bad comment about Bitcoin. We will also benefit from this.     Sad

If you really wanted to invest on cryptocurrency then i dont think you will let bad comments deter you from doing it.
You musnt be swayed with it but instead you must do your own research about how cryptocurrency operates and by doing so you will also gain the confidence you really needed in order to make better judgments.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you aware that some Banks accept Bitcoin? on: August 02, 2018, 10:07:36 AM
Yo guys,
Are you aware that there is some banks that accept Bitcoin like Neteller or Skrill? I just discovered it so I was surprised. You can deposit your Bitcoin and use your Bank/Credit card to withdraw.
Now,it doesn't matter if Paypal adopt Bitcoin or not since it's primary competitors have already done so.*
What do you think?

i do...
i was able to conduct transaction with some banks with regards to cryptocurrencies.
so i guess even if they dont fully support it they still find it a good means of earning.
that is why they are utilizing it too...

79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin As Paper Notes Useful? thoughts? on: August 02, 2018, 04:59:41 AM
I know there was some company experimenting with paper notes to help people who have not internet use BTC.

Anyhow this is an interesting thought. Do you think that it would be possible to put not exactly BTC into a paper note but any crypto in some what of a denomination in a paper note. eg hardware

more less it could be used for people who have no access to internet have spending power, where the paper notes would have  bar code scanner code on it, that they take to someone else for buying goods and services.

Your thoughts on this idea, could be used in whole numbers of a type of crypto if the numbers meet up to a certain standard, as not to correspond to a FIAT system but be entirely in Crypto?

your thoughts? pros and cons to this concept.?

why it could work ? or why it would not work?

If this system will be implemented then it will surely be against the purpose of bitcoin.
The essence of blockchain is to provide users a faster and more anonymous way of transaction.
By doing so will not only defeat this purpose but will also surely entice people to do fraud by having multiple copies of that paper money.
So my guess this wont ever materialize.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why do governments don't make BTC illegal worldwide ? on: August 01, 2018, 11:37:41 PM
I'm wondering this because is such a real threat to bank system and we all know how banks and governments are tightly linked !

BTC could make people more autonomous, self-resilient, being their own bank. You can use it like cash, making your transaction almost untraceable (or untraceable using e.g. monero or dash or laundry systems) : this is governments worst nightmare, isn't it ?

it is indeed fearsome for government if all the people in the world will switch to cryptocurrency instead of using the conventional way which is through banks.
but i don't think threat it that bad yet since as of now there isn't enough large money revolving around cryptocurrency.
and another reason why i think they d not make it illegal yet is maybe they are looking how to regulate it with taxes in order to get revenue for the government.
