61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🔥 BITCOlN CASH JUST MINED FIRST EVER 8MB BLOCK!!!! 🔥 on: August 17, 2017, 02:41:06 AM
I'm sure in no time BCH is going to go to $5,000+, it's going to take over bitcoin, all the exchanges are going to throw core out and make new pairs of everything for btccash, all the developers and tech companies and blockchains are going to stop deving for core and switch, all the miners are going to go to the bilderberg meeting and agree to team up on a coup, people will forget about core it will become an alt like litecoin.... . . . .... and then I woke up, what a crazy dream...

63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGo on: August 16, 2017, 05:18:34 PM
Why would the banks want to work with OmiseGo team when their mission is to eliminate them? Even if they meet with all the banks in Asia, I doubt the banks would acquiesce. Hence, you will just get the pics of the meeting and not the content. I'm still skeptical about OmiseGo thinking they will take over the banking system in Asia.

"If you can't beat them.. learn about them, maybe join them or acquire them or get them to help us or or or..". Times are changing, you can't say they want to eliminate them anymore, and it's not like it's some ICO meeting pre-venture, they're already in the money biz.

I doubt they are going to take over the banking system in Asia too - however I do see them adding branches and arms to it that integrate crypto eventually, as all corps/gov/banks will. Who cares WHAT part of the world does it first, as long as it happens and someone takes the lead for others to follow in this time of uncertainty from legacy systems.

I came in skeptical too, and now I sound like a poster boy for them however the more I learn about everything and the more proof/press/interviews/ama's/pics/meeting/etc I see the more confident I am that this is both real and not a shitcoin campaign. Them meeting w the central bank and making it public isn't the only thing they have going for it or the only reason to invest, it's just the cherry on the cake right now - however you have to admit it's not something to easily dismiss either even if nothing comes from it this round.

Potentially interested in this, some Q's:

1. It says the pre-ico is selling 10% of total coins, and that 10% is 175 000 000. So the total amount of coins is going to be 1.75 Billion?

2. Why in the world do you guys need such a huge amount of money and this is only the PRE-ico?

Hello, sir!
Look more carefully
 10% of 175 000 000 - that is 1 750 000

Thanks.

It could be clearer on the website Smiley

And can you please answer the second question?

So far it's not looking too good re amount raised which is making me more nervous and you're avoiding financial questions that are important (why do you need this huge amount of money for a PRE-ico to build a few apps? I could build this with <1M + a small team, wanna hire me? lol).

No problem.

We've finally broken through some mega walls on Bittrex and OMG is going for a beautiful run right now!

66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you define Bitcoin "going mainstream"? on: August 16, 2017, 03:30:40 AM
To me it means that we are still at the bottom of the S-curve of mass adoption.

Previous paradigm shifting inventions (internet, cars, etc.) took up to 20+ years to get to total mass adoption and the top of the S-curve. This is crypto though, it's fast-tracked and compounded by tech/beautiful minds so it will happen much faster.

Once we are at least in the middle of the S-curve (almost going straight up), is when I think we can say it's gone mainstream.

Once average joe/general population aren't asking questions anymore (meaning basic ones like "what's a digital wallet? How do I get bitcoins? They're how much? Can I spend them? Do I have to report them? I don't get it?...) and we all just 'get it' because the techies will make it stupid proof eventually and the chaotic knowledge will be done on the back end seamlessly (akin to how we use money now but most have no clue how it's made, distributed, accounted for, burned, inflated etc. - end users just want their cash to spend/save - bitcoin will be no different).

Now that my account is at JrMember, the OP should be showing up properly.

A quick thank you to the people that have been reaching out. I say no to 95%+ of the things I get presented with - so no hard feelings if I didn't find a fit with your project.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 3 Ways BITCOlN CAS,H Could Beat BTC [YOUTUBE VIDEO] NEW!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 on: August 15, 2017, 06:17:41 PM
(it's the old VHS/BETA battle, better doesn't always win, and first to market isn't always best to market but it can adapt in this case rather easily).

Think of all the variables in this equation. Everything is traded against BTC - it's the cryptoDollar/ReserveCryptoCurrency.

Think of all the exchange pairs, the merchants, the tech already built and in dev based around bitcoin and other alts/eth, I don't think BCC stands a chance in hell in coming close to anything more than another 2nd tier alt in the long run. It's not the first or last time we'll see a fork try to compete but it's futile at this point imo. It doesn't matter how many fire emoji threads by promoters/hodlers get put out, but I do appreciate the discussion, and yeah obviously you're deep in it with all the profile branding so I get it - blatant transparency, I just think less is more in this case for you.

75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Market Cap has now exceeded that of Paypal on: August 14, 2017, 09:26:25 PM
I'm equally as surprised as others that PP doesn't have a higher market cap.

At this rate, and still being low on the s-curve of mass adoption, we might see some reallllllly crazy numbers before the end of the year nevermind 3-5years from now.

Quite ironic that we all used to hope for PP integration (I mean it would still be great, and will probably happen downstream) and now we've dusted them and the margin will get greater every day.

So for todays contest, if you're not on FaceBook you can't participate? That's crappy, should have done a bonus round for the facebook ppl as I imagine many here aren't on social media by design.

We dropped all social requirements for lottery particicpation and all you needed for participation is make a contribution of 10+ ETH during the preICO.

Check the previous post with the lottery results. And check your profile on Kickico.com for drawing number.

Nice that you guys dropped the requirements, sorry didn't catch it on the previous page - I put in 14eth, just checked and I'm not a winner but that's ok - CONGRATS to the winners Smiley

^ At this rate, I won't be surprised if we reach 5K in a week (or even overnight from here) and 10K in a month.

I know it sounds unrealistic, but so does bitcoin going from this years low to 4K so...

All signs do point to rather retarded numbers if the market cap can keep doubling.

From the average Joe, to hedge funds, to banks/corps, yes I agree we are witnessing the low end of the s-curve of the mass adoption cycle. Took previous paradigm shifting inventions 20+ years to get mass adoption, here we are seeing it fast-tracked many fold but we're definitely still under the radar re masses of masses.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges should not be trading places on: August 14, 2017, 04:45:45 AM
There have been many alt-only exchanges.

I don't like regulation however when it comes to exchanges YES I'd rather they be legit and held accountable/liable/are insured/etc.

I remember when gox goxed, and cryptsy crippled, it killllled the markets and prices and I was thinking 'won't it be great when there are 20+ major exchanges around the globe so there is less risk if one goes down. And won't it be great once this shit is regulated on the exchange level so I feel safer with my money on there like I feel with forex/etf's/etc'.

The blackmarket IS helping the cryptos move, however I'd rather they get their value from a safe investment POV vs a wild west finance rush with unlimited risks at every turn (aka I want my exchange to have fiat, and be regulated. I'm not a crypto fanatic as much as I'm an investor and trader, and want safety vs anonymity).
