61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BBT] BitBoost - The Block - Decentralized Ecommerce on Ethereum Blockchain on: October 30, 2017, 08:56:22 PM
ok, the concept itself is as simple as good, but don't you think that it can be a limit? I mean: the partnership agreement gives the exclusive to passlfix? in case is yes, so the sellers can't use another way to ship their products?  Huh
I think differently in this regard,  of course it might be a limit if PassLfix only has exclusive rights to deliver it's services on Bitboost platform due to the partnership that exist,  however, there are also other companies Bitboost has partnered with, hopefully maybe in the final version of app,  more options would be available for sellers to choose from.

the main concern is due to the exclusive itself: a sole supplier can get a lot of power on you in this way, so I hope they have some other partners for the shipment, no matter of the quality of passlfix.

yes, I was thinking exactly the same. passlfix can be a very good partner, but I hope they will have more choices. for enigmatical there is somewhere a list of bitboosts partners?
Here are the partners and providers of the Bitboost project: PassLfix,  Komodo,  Shapeshift,  Boston Entrepreneurship Centre (BEC),  tinkl.it, CryptoValley, Beyond, Ambisafe, Etherchain.org, Digital Ocean, Crowding.com, Github, etc. Check website for more details

thank you very much for the list! from Komodo to Github I think I know almost nothing, so there's already a lot to read. it really seems bitboost has already found someone to collaborate.

I don't know... basically I don't have understood if they provide just a serivce that can be used from a delivery/logistic company or they provide also the shipment itself.

it seems to me more likely the first, but, in that case I don't know why they partners together... it would be better for both bitboost and passlfix to partner with a third service like lwf, for example.

Hey people all read the twitter today ? Smiley :

Interesting meetings between Paul Mahone, Bitboots's CEO, and our partner

I thinks is very great to follow it .
Yes, the meeting with the Bitboost's partner PassLfix, we hope the meeting is for the better, however the last chance to buy BBT at a discounted rate of 4.348% is now as this discount ends in 24hrs, as more funds are coming in now.

on passlfix website you can find the bitboost logo between the partners so it seems the partnership agreement is closed. I hope this news can bring value to bitboost!

some people here has laughed when I said that a partnership between two startups in cryptocurrecies ecosystem was potentially a good thing... it seems that bitboost think the same...  Cool

If the Bitboost platform does not store data since they take privacy seriously does this mean they promote anonymity of its users,  would certain person's use this to perpetuate fraudulent acts?
Bitboost honours the privacy of its users using encryption,   but privacy through encryption does not mean anonymity. Users can exchange their personal information as needed through the app. This will be needed for delivery and invoicing purposes, as in any e-commerce service. But, unlike other e-commerce services, The Block does not store this data. It will be safely encrypted into the Ethereum blockchain.

differences between privacy and anonymity is an interesting argument: a lot of people may think to open a ecommerce activity through bitboost and don't pay any taxes, because of the anonymous transactions. or maybe the can, through a proxy, pretend to be and sell from/to another country to join lower taxation or different rules in term of allowed products.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ❤❤❤[ANN] [ICO] JDS ICO is over on: October 28, 2017, 05:10:01 PM
No words yet from JDS team? What are their next steps?
Almost no trading in DEX. Hopefully, they will still pursue this project.
Otherwise, it's a loss from the side of their investors.

usually the team members are very active in their telegram chat (you can find the link in the main page of this thread), so if you have to ask them something you should write there.  Smiley

I have ever been astonished by their absence in this thread... never understood the reason why and it seems sometimes they pay the consequences of this... they had to do better in this sector...

you can't blame them: for a very long time they had to answer back to a lot of clueless people that were asking about the airdrop, even it it was over by weeks and it was clearly specified in the main page.

I don't mean they have to answer to everyone, but sometimes there were some legit question (like this one) or some situation that needed an offcial explanation. the lack of presence was clear in past weeks.

they chose to be present to answer in the chat and they let the thread as an instrument for followers and investors, maybe is not the best, but they choose so because they are able to handle properly the situation in this way.

they should be good also in communication to find the firsts sellers, they have to boost their website to make the products listed visible and they have to partners with other companies to grow, so the road is still long, and a "not very good" beta can be fixed in the next future, so, for me, it is not the final exam, just an important test, but not the last one.

maybe the truth is in the middle: if the beta is not as great as the expectations it would be not the end, but a good beta can boost the final race of the token sale and be a solid point for investors and future users. if I was in bitboost I would like to not fail this test, no matter what.

the most important thing is: (1) verify if the beta is a good starting point to grow, (2) promote in this forum and on every channel, and this is also our job Cool, and (3) wish them well for the end of the ico and what's next.

we will know on monday, or maybe on the halloween day. I think that a good beta, and so, a lot of positive feedback from their testers should be a good reward for their efforts in this phase!  Smiley

.

this is definetely a good pointGrin anyway... I hope to finally see the beta after this weekend because the time of the ico is almost over and it would be good to judge their actual work.

the release after this weekend is an official news, so it will be possible to see the engineering work and understand if our and their expectations are justified. a very important exam for bitboost!

there will be a lot of exams for here to the eventual placement in the market. also if this path will be successful some exams will gone bad, this is not decisive, it is not just black or white. it is just an opportuty to understand their level in this specific moment.

I know... the pre sale has been so good to give them the chance to proceed anything will happen in the main sale. Sometimes you can be lucky (and good) and sometimes no (even if you've been good), but I'd really expect a great marketplace since the very beginning. their biggest competitors are very strong!

As I've already said the features and the service that they have in mind are good, no matter if their are in bitcoin field or not. I really hope I will buy and sell via Bitboost in the future, not just because I've invested.

no doubts they are better than ebay, for both sellers and buyer. amazon in this moment is the temple of ecommerce, but its fees are very high for small companies. bitboost have its chances.

their initial approach is good: with their features they can avoid bad customer experiences since the very start and they can make easy for good small sellers to be trusted by their potential clients.

this is why in my opinion it's so important to have a good beta! they have enough funds to go ahead and a project that is good in every sector. if they have good programmers they are complete. so it's the final exam, for me.

there are some news about the beta testing? I have not received any answers, so now I'm thinking that I'm not qualified as profile or it was a sort of limited bounty...

I recevied an email a couple of days ago. It was written that they are working on some bugs due to an ethereum upgrade. I hope I can have it as soon as possible (and so you), so do not lose your hope!  Wink

there are (were?) a lot of active testers, and the previous is an official communication, so I don't think it's something limited. when you will receive it you have just to install on your device and try it.

Are springing up in other projects dedicated to business and in these sectors, such as LWF. would it be possible to combine these different services ? A seller uses BitBoost to sell the product, and LWF to deliver it. Connect technology to give a complete service decentralized ?
I was thinking exactly the same, would be a really good collaboration. That would be a revolution in online shopping. It would be a win win situation for both sides and many problems that they would separately have would disappear.

LWF seems to be an interesting project. I've not yet read their white paper but it should be a good parter for bitboost, specially for unprofessional sellers in the launch!

one of the well known bitboost goals is to keep low the fee to list and sell an item. but one of the real problems of sellers is the logistic: shipment and specially storage are very high expenses that can hurt an activity.

No doubts that a partnership between then should be a win/win. They can decrease the costs and increase the efficency at the same time. I think that there are so many other projects in this ecosystem that can partner succesfully with Bitboost.

of course, this is one of the ones we know. I think also that anryze should partner with both of them and so on. they should form a net in my opinion to increase the chances to grow as single projects and also as a new healthy ecosystem.

the idea of a cooperation for mutual advantages between projects in crypto ecosystem is good and even brilliant so I think a lot of them have already thought about this and some of them are already cooperating.
At this stage it is premature to weave different projects that are in incubation stage. I think that in time more mature, it will be interesting the interaction between the projects born from different ideas. Create an economy more developed and stable, increasing the supply of the services.

same idea. as I said previously it would be dangerous to put your hopes in the hands of another emerging reality. in this phase in better to be careful. but I still think that a lot of startups partners or try to do it. you must think that is easier for them to sign an agreement with a small business, even if you prefer something more solid.

we can keep talk about this hypothesis and we will never know who's right. what I'm just saying is that two startups can create an advantage for themselves working together. obviously they can collaborate also with other more solid realities.

I don't think that partner with another startup in the same field happen so frequently. reasons are so many, a lot of ceo/cto can be worried because their ideas can be stolen, for example.

I don't know how many startups partner between each others, but if they can and they don't do it, the main reason should be the percentage of failure: a startup can easily fail, so they look for solid partners.

the fascinating idea in it is that a lot of microbusinesses can stand up and fight together to emerge and become a reality in their field. if you can choose obviously you prefer a solid partner. we talk about business after all.
