Good that you want to develop your skillls in regards to reading charts.

The site i used in my begin period to understand charts and technical indicators is this one:

http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_school

Start from up and go down. They give for every topic additional resources included in the bottom of each article. If you still have questions after reading it feel free to ask.

63  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Exchange on: November 17, 2017, 08:06:53 AM
Its all a prototype .. i was reading quite a bit and i am sopposed to run a ICO to get more funds to get the project under more secured professional level?

Here is the P-Type

still have alot of work to do with the database

Just go ahead and finish your project, make at least some beta version that people can try. Than you can consider making a coin/do crowdfunding/ start an ICO. In this stage with that picture, nobody is going to believe you, let alone invest money in you.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to airdrop altcoin? on: November 16, 2017, 10:35:44 PM
Actually, how do you do this? Is there a software? Does airdropping require wallet addresses...?

Please help, Bitcointalk people!!!  Huh

I really think "newbies" should learn how to search, but this is my find:

OK, I have locked that account. I wonder if my receipt of that email is proof enough to recover the account?

No it's not, read the topic i posted or consider your account gone...
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have 15 BTC worth of ALT coins, what would you do ? on: November 16, 2017, 07:20:51 PM
Best investment for short term gain (7 December) would be EMC2, just watch what it did from this weekend till now +100% and the gain hasn't stopped. Coin burn is announced to happen in december, so you can still ride the train.
67  Other / Meta / Re: Account Hjiacked on: November 16, 2017, 06:24:03 PM
Which account are you talking of? Did you ever post a bitcoin adress?

Read this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0 and please move the thread to the meta section.

Your "husband" has been banned as stated here

I am not sure why you are not banned:

hello. joined bounty Telegram

joined the team))) I wish all luck

Joined  Airdrop, thanks

join airdrop ? send 0.001 eth )

etc

But i found also this copy-paste behaviour

read this:
I'm pretty sure it wasn't once hence why the account was nuked. If it was just once I would have removed the thread and banned the account instead but from what I recall there were multiple copy and pastes and I'm not going to remove them all one by one. The rest of you and your friends accounts posts are trash so there will be no mercy here. Please move on because it is a well known rule around here that copy and pasting gets you a permanent ban and nobody has any sympathy for it.

Your account is perma banned, hence your account is gone

Hi, my account Odalv got hacked. My password was 9 chars long (letters and digits).

When was the last time you changed your password?

And can you sign a message from a prior used address?

I'm not sure I ever used address. If there is any I can find key and sign.

Here you go:
Addresses posted in non-quoted text
(May include addresses not actually owned by user)
Found 4 addresses

70  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trying to reach my goal in bitcoin... on: November 15, 2017, 06:23:33 PM
BTC I have recently started bitcoin . However, I lack money to actually buy a bit coin and all I need is one bit coin to be set. My question is : How do you achieve this through other aspects? If I started a blog could I get funding through bit coin? I view bitcoin as  a coin exchange live stock . Meaning that the value of one bitcoin is always changing . Unfortunately , it can go down in value as quickly as it goes up in value .  What other ways are there to earn bitcoin besides having to buy one or selling items? What ways have worked best for you?
Thank you for your time in regards to this post .

You don't need 1 bitcoin, you can easily start with less. I don't know what your financial position currently is, but if you have money to buy you can always start with 0,1 btc, and gradually gain on that 0,1 and reinvest the profits you get. It's a long road but if you start today and you know how to invest, you will have 1 bitcoin by december 2018.

If you have technical skills you can always offer them on the marketplace, start cheap so people can get used with your quality and after a while you can up the price per service, or you can start doing airdrops/signature campaigns to get some coins which you can sell and buy for others.

My way is and always will be just to buy bitcoins when i think the price is at it's lowest for that period and just invest and get some gains from it.
71  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: NOOB query about transactions/calculations on: November 15, 2017, 01:04:46 PM
OK guys so a noob question and kinda mathematical Cheesy  Roll Eyes, when you buy an altcoin through bitcoin (same goes for etherium) in an exchange and the price of the altcoin at that given time is high and that of bitcoin is lets assume 5000USD and after few months the price of the BTC goes to 7000USD and the price of the altcoin drops to half. does this means that if you would like to convert back to BTC and then sell it for USD you are loosing more whereas if the price of the BTC was still the same but the price of the altcoin drops more than half? iam confused any help? Huh

If you buy altcoin X for 0,5 btc (1500 USD)

x = 0,5 BTC
Bitcoin price now 3K USD

After a while
X= 0,25 BTC (realized losses of 50%)
Bitcon price is up to 6K USD

in Fiat now your investment is worth 0,25 x 6000 = 1.500 USD, so in fiat you didn't lose anything.

But potential loss is 1500 USD if you didn't buy the altcoin and just held your investment in bitcoin.

TLDR: gains and losses can be calculated in bitcoin value and fiat value, choose which one you find more meaningfull.

For some reason I have not been able to get images to embed on threads that I'm creating. When I view the post from my profile they're embedding perfectly, they're also working when I try to test them on other forums.

Here is an example of one:

It's working read the rules: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

Q: I can't post / embed an image and I'm a newbie. Why?
A: Embedded images have been disabled for newbies due to abuse (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1172918.0). You'll be able to post images when you become Jr. Member or if you pay a small fee. See more: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104.0.

Seems like a phishing attempt, WHOIS of that email server gives me nothing: https://www.whois.com/whois/e-room.ru

Maybe if you are brave just mail that guy and check what he is suggesting, which btc adress etc. But be cautious, don't provide any information/private keys etc.

Hi,
can someone tell me exactly how I can buy some of these coins at Bitrex?
Do I have to first create a wallet there?
I have ZCASH and Bitcoin at another account, do I have to send them into a Bitrex wallet?

Regards

make an account on bittrex, send some bitcoins to the bitcoin wallet associated with your account (there are tutorials here on the forum), and buy some EMC2 with bitcoins.
75  Other / Meta / Re: How to get latest created topics for a specific board ? on: November 14, 2017, 06:36:33 PM
The only possible way is the forum search you can include/exclude certain subforums and sort the search for most recent topics first.

however you need to type some sort of word to actually search. So pick a word that is always used and use that.

Even in the case of search topic you can’t sort by topic creation time, only by topic size or last message on topic.

You do have an option, check the dropdown menu the following options can be selected:
- most relevant results first
- largest topics first
- smallest topics first
- most recent topics first
- oldest topics first

I justed tested it with this query:
Search -> Noob
User -> *
Search in topic subjects only -> tick on
Drop down menu -> Most recent topics first

Gave me 4 pages results sorted by creation date

And yes i checked the whole first page to double check if it gives you creation date and not last date posted.

However i don't believe these are all result of the forum, think theymos did a block on how many results are given. Seems every query gives me around 4/5 pages.
76  Other / Meta / Re: How to get latest created topics for a specific board ? on: November 14, 2017, 06:24:36 PM
It's not exactly what you asked for but you get at least something, use this in google search

site:"https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0"

It somewhat sorts the topics per date it was created(some outliers here and there). The site i used was the altcoin discussion forum

It’s returning topics completely unrelated to the board when asking last day topics.

77  Economy / Lending / Re: I NEED 0.05 BTC LOAN @ 0.75% FOR 5 DAYS on: November 14, 2017, 05:38:34 PM
HI GUYS,

I AM A CRYPTO-TRADER. I PRESENTLY NEED ABOUT 0.05 BTC TO SUPPORT MY TRADING. A FAIR RATE OF BETWEEN 0.5 - 0.75 % IS GOOD.

PLEASE, HOW DO I GET THIS LOAN?

Try your luck out here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=65.0

But read this important rule:

The rule of "No Collateral, No Loan" means that in order to get a loan you must give collateral that is equal, or preferably higher to the amount you are being loaned.

If you completely ignore this sticky and make a loan request with no collateral, without having massive trust on the forum, the chances of you getting negative trusted feedback and therefore having a Trade with Extreme Caution tag is almost 100%.

Next time if you need a loan, there is a subforum for it, post it there.

Hi,

As a newbie, I don’t know how to get latest topics for a specific board. What I need is to get all topics for a specific board sorted by date. I only found how to sort by last recent message post on topics (as result I’m getting topics created several weeks ago)
I can’t use Google for such task, because topics don’t have a specific ᴜʀʟ path for each different boards, which prevent me from using site: or inurl: query parameters of Google.

As an alternative, are there databases extract for public portions of bitcoin talk like Wikipedia or stack exchange is doing (for allowing users to run their own queries) ?

Hi, please my other bitcoin talk account has been banned for close to two weeks or more and l was asked to write to appeal to banappeals-w6pquw43@theymos.e4ward.com l have done that but still no lifting of the ban.plz what else do l need to do to lift the ban on the account with username ijay. Thanks

no one can uplift your ban, if its perma banned due to copy pasting or repeating single one liner post. not unless you have an important business that will be left , just like lone shark.

i dont think its a permanent ban and i never did copy and paste,my post were deleted and was told to appeal to banappeals-w6pquw43@theymos.e4ward.com i have written twice but no reply to any of the mails

1. Your old account is nuked = why do you want it back
2. you are violating the rules: 25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed
3. You still don't get it reading your post history

4. Read the rules of that section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2284374.0

Anyone posting info from their bounty application (usernames, addresses, etc.) or anything alongside the lines of "joined X", "looking forward to getting X", "thanks for the opportunity", "filled out form", "signed up for X", "applied", "following / liked / retweeted X" when such data is not required or the requirement is against the forum's rules risk having their account banned.

I know that section is full of people posting like you, but now you shine the light to your account and now it has been detected....
80  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOW TO TRADE WITH CRYPTOCURRENCIES on: November 13, 2017, 09:14:57 PM
www.cryco.io

I am talking about this type of trading with crypto currencies

I don't know but that site seems fishy to me, google doesn't give any description of the site, so SEO is obviously bad.

If you going to trade, just buy yourself some bitcoins, read and learn which altcoins you want to support by looking good at their product/mission/team etc.

+ things stated on that site can't be found with google, so take them with a grain of salt.  And their "company adress" goes to an offshore trust company....
