Just to get an idea. How much people are investing (as in spending money on exchanges) in this coin?
I only had 0.02 BTC around the 2nd Nov snapshot, and I am not even sure if my BTCs were part of the snapshot or not. So, not worth for me to go through hassle of claiming when I will only get half of it. Therefore, I decided to buy some BTX from exchange and hold it and receive 3% more each Monday.
Anyway, I have to send some BTC to buy the BTX on the exchange and decided to send 0.01 BTC (about $90 AUD) from my JAXX wallet to cryptopia. But got really worried when the confirmation showed I would be charged 0.003376 BTC in mining fee (WTF!!). Thats like $35 AUD in fees. Not worth sending $100 AUD worth BTC to exchange when I would lose $35 in fees to buy this coin.
So, I am asking the question, how much people are investing in this coin?
To really make the higher mining fee on BTC worthwhile, I would be better off sending large some given the fees would be same instead of smaller amount and buy this coin. Just curious to see what other's take on this. Invest more on this or hold the BTC.
Another option is to mine this. But I only have single AMD R9 280x GPU, don't think it would cut it for this coin.

Being new to this Crypto business, I bought $2K worth of bitcoins 2 weeks back when the price was $7000+ hearing about BTC price jump, then friend of mine tole me about the hard fork and possibility of new free coin, so I decided to invest $2k more and bought it when BTC was all time high at $7800. Yesterday, over the weekend I logged on and saw that BTC was crashing and BCH was going way up around $2500. Being a noob, I made the error of panic sale of BTC and buying BCH and later selling BCH and buying BTC when BCH went back down. Anyway long story short, thanks to this whatever is happening with BTC-BCH business and exchange fees, I am now $2K short in my BTC holding and still see the BTC is going down. Any advice on either to sell the remaining BTC for cash and cut my losses or still hold them, I now have around 0.2... BTC down from 0.4+ . Not a huge amount to most but it is for me. Just hold it all in Bitcoin and you'll end up making a lot of money even after your current losses. Stay out of BCH. It's a pure pump and dump coin. You got scammed into buying into a pump and dump scheme and lost money. That's the only thing BCH is used for. A few people who got rich from Bitcoin have decided to spread propaganda saying BCH is the real Bitcoin and they worked hard to pump the price up to be a huge bubble the past few days. If you still have any BCH sell it immediately. The normal price for BCH is about $400 and it will go back there in the next few weeks. Bitcoin is the main crypto, it might increase 10x in the next 3 years. BCH likely has no future as it is used purely for trading and not used in the real world at all and won't be because Bitcoin is already the coin being used for real world purchases. BTC just experienced a normal crash and BCH's zealots used the opportunity to pump BCH. BCH had its weekend in the news, now it is going back to normal <$500 levels. BTC just started recovering from a normal crash. It'll be breaking new highs in the next few weeks and will very likely hit $10k in December or January. Thank you for your advice, seeing BTC climb again in price, I now have the confidence and will definitely hold the remaining BTC. I did sell the BCH at bit of loss, but learned the lesson. |

I thought this project was called off and was now off.
My mistake, just checked the site, and it's on hold for 3 weeks. Not sure, what that would do to the value of this coin. |

I watched the video and came to the conclusion that none of them are crypto dev - web dev most likely. Why? No one had a MacBook!  What? no macbook? well that says it all. How can you qualify as a crypto dev without using macbook.  |

But can I ask, how does one earn money on this project.
Router owner broadcasts the free internet > Users watch ads to access internet > Advertisers pays for displaying ads > Router owner earns GFI tokens based on number of users connected and ads watched > Router owner can convert the GFI token for money or other crypto on exchanges > who buys the GFI tokens and what for?
Can I ask why would anyone buy GFI tokens? I mean what use is of this token? Do not get me wrong, it is a great project and idea, but I fail to see the importance of GFI token, why not just use existing crypto currency like BTC or ETH.
Nicehash.com is a same concept. instead of you selling your internet you sell your hash power and you earn. Only way I believe this GFI token will have any value is, if the advertisers are forced to pay for the advertisement by GFI token only (again same as nicehash - you sell and buy with BTC), and as such there is a demand of GFI tokens in exchanges, which can be purchased either via traditional currency or other Crypto, generating demand for GFI tokens which has a value for the GFI tokens earned by router owners.
But as is in current model, if the advertisers are paying any money to Wi-Fi Global for advertisement, than there is no market for GFI tokens that the user generates.
Correct me if I am wrong or have misunderstood.
As for the concept, I am very much in favour and do see it has real world use.

Didn’t quite get... Where can I buy tokens?
As the OP stated, you have to first get white listed by sending 0.003 ETH to OP, which I personally think is a bargain at this price. Then on next stage only the white listed investor gets offered ICO. And again as OP has stated, the price of B2X coin would be equivalent to total ETH that people paid to get whitelisted. The price of the B2X coin will be the value of the Genesis Address in ETH.
If 20 ETH get raised, then 1 B2X =20 ETH

To be whitelisted you must donate 0.003 ETH to the Genesis address:

It's a bargain for the cost of 0.003 ETH. The price of the B2X coin will be the value of the Genesis Address in ETH.

Nope! not buying this one.
No details on who is behind this, no dev public profile, no history.
What is the point of mobile mining? what do you use those tokens for? what do these tokens actually do? I mean, bitcoin is currency and can be used to buy goods, Ethereum is smart contract and can be purchased and used for application development, and so on, what exactly is the purpose of this coin?
People usually these days buy the tokens at ICO just to sell them off quickly for little profit and some buy it as they support the actual project. Just because its an ICO and can purchase said coins at cheaper rate with the speculation that we would be able to sale these coins for higher price. other than that what does this project aim to achieve?
Being able to mine with mobile is great, but once you have mined it, what do you do with it? One example of valid project and its ICO would be to launch a mobile mining app, and the generated/mined coins can than be used to play online games, to buy in app purchases, etc. I do not see any purpose behind this project other than simply launching mobile mining app.

The coins in circulation is around 120M only. CMC added the 5B ICO coins that are still locked in DEVS wallet. so the exact marketcap at 700 satoshi per coin at US$7,300 per BTC is US$ 6.1M coinmarketcap figures are absurd. Note: Once devs release the 5B etn for the ICO participants. ETN price with the same marketcap will be I agree with you there. I am afraid once the wallets are released the price of this coin will crash as most of these investor will try to panic sale and make a quick profit. Only the smart ones will hold. |
