61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I give up earning money from ICO on: March 06, 2018, 10:17:19 AM
That's too bad!
I understand you, why don't you give us the details, so we can indentify the scammer ?
May be we can do something, or at least we can ban him from cryptocommunity.
It's a little world, and reputation is vital.
62  Economy / Economics / Re: why bitcoin is banned by the government on: March 02, 2018, 11:09:00 AM
Bitcoin is not really banned (actually, is practically impossible), but in some countries you can have trouble if you try to exchange bitcoin in local currency.
So, take care. But as there is not a common decision by governments, and we are now in a global world, it's very simple to use bitcoin in spite of any ban that a local government can do.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be patient for your profit on: March 02, 2018, 11:00:26 AM
Well, hurry is usually a bad advisor, but sometime you need to act very fast.
But in crypto, actually, the winners are they who hold their asset, and didn't sell them.
Now they are millionaires.
We don't know how the future will be, but the crypto adventure is just at the beginning.
So, there are still a lot of space for big profit.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro? on: March 02, 2018, 10:56:45 AM
If you want to invest money, it's a good idea to check every information you have at your disposal, and for sure whitepaper is the first thing to read.
But of course it's not enough, because you need to check if you really can trust what it's written there.
So, whitepaper must be checked, but it's only the starting point.
Hey, bro, we are talking about YOUR money!
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is bitcoin legal??? on: March 02, 2018, 10:53:53 AM
There is no was bitcoin could be made "illegal" as it's nothing more than a game online where you exchange some points.
Of course, if someone will pay you for these points, so there is a movement of money, you have to justify it.
But at present the situation is very confused, even if in some countries you can have some difficult to exchange bitcoin in fiat money.
But nothing more.
66  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you manage ur emotions? on: March 02, 2018, 10:49:25 AM
It's practically impossible to keep emotions away in trading.
All you can do is to control them to the point that they don't push you to make too stupid action, by greed or by panic.
Actually, the best method I found is to not considerate what you are trading as "money" but just as some points in a videogame.
So you can have an acceptable level of detachment and it easier to remain calm and lucid.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: porn/sex industry and cryptocurrency on: March 02, 2018, 10:45:27 AM
I don't see how porn industry could be tied to cryptocurrencies: of course, there is a kind of anonymity, but now there are a lot of way to pay without to be caught by your wife!
For what I can see, all projects about porn are doomed to fail.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC of bounty hunters on: March 02, 2018, 10:42:57 AM
To ask personal data to bounty hunters is clearly an abuse, if it wasn't declared at the beginning of the campaign.
More over, there is no a legitimate reason: we are not investors, and the sums are very small.
Btw, is seems that lot of people send fake data and photoshopped passport scans, so... the game is open Smiley
69  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: March 02, 2018, 10:39:03 AM
Paper money represent just a period in the evolution of money, from middle age to our days.
For sure, it will evolve toward and electronic form; the real question is: will be this form decentralized (that means freedom) or centralized (that means absolute control by governments)?
We'll see, I think there will be a bloody war.
70  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: March 02, 2018, 10:34:18 AM
Well, anything in life is "unpredictable": may be in the next 5 minutes you are already dead! (I hope you won't, of course)
What I mean is that even if you have a "guaranteed" job, actually it's not guaranteed at all (ask to all people that lost their "safe" job due to 2008 crisis).

So, it's all about the level of risk you will accept: some people like risk, other not.
But remember: on this planet, it doesn't exist a 100% sure prediction, not even when it's about physics... Smiley
71  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: March 02, 2018, 10:17:29 AM
I didn't write here in the last weeks, and I was just curious how the situation evolved.
Well, some ideas:

1) it seems that most of the people are more interested to earn cheap money from bounties that to learn to trade

2) a lot of people are more interested in discussion about merits than about crypto

3) to receive merit is much more about luck than quality: I mean, to receive a merit you need

     a) to write a decent post
     b) to hope that people READ your post
     c) to hope that they LIKE it
     d) to hope that they HAVE merits to give

there is too hope on the table; I'm a deterministic person, I like cause/effect stuff, so sincerely I lost interest in all this stuff about merit.
May be this was the primal intention, to force people to give up.

Oh, well, I'll try to survive without merits... Smiley
72  Economy / Economics / Re: could bitcoin be replaced by another crypto currency? on: February 28, 2018, 03:38:56 PM
Who know? Twenty years ago Altavista was the biggest search engine, yahoo was just a directory and google didn't exist.
Then, the situation evolved, and now Altavista is just a piece of history.
Today bitcoin is the star, but... tomorrow?
73  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need regulations? on: February 28, 2018, 03:35:47 PM
There are a lot of discussions about the "necessity" of regulation, but it seems that people don't see the contradiction: the crypto market is ALREADY regulated by the open source software that make the system work, so the rules are inside the system itself.
To try to "force" the behavior of the system with external rules is completely useless and without any chance to succeed.
74  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think that bitcoin can reduce corruption? on: February 28, 2018, 03:30:45 PM
Corruption doesn't depend from the currency you use! Actually, bitcoin, with its pseudoanonymity, it's just a most efficient tool to send money without to be caught. I suspect that politicians - even if they say that don't know anything about the subject - were the first users of cryptocurrencies.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC - Passports and documents for sale on Dark Web on: February 28, 2018, 01:40:11 PM
There are a lot of reasons to not give your data, not to say a scan of your passport: firstly, because once your personal data are connected to a bitcointalk account, you have no more privacy and you don't know when this fact can become a problem.
Them, because you don't know what someone whit your data can do in the deep web.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who uses myetherwallet? on: February 28, 2018, 01:31:45 PM
MEW is a very good wallet, but you need to be very disciplined and to take care of your assets, because if something happens there is nothing that you can do.
And don't forget that may be your computer is under attack - even if you don't know - and someone can stole your key.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What we need to check before investing in ico? on: February 28, 2018, 01:07:01 PM
Thank you for you list, it's a very complete one.
The real problem is, of course, that even you check anything you can never be sure, as you can't verify that what they declare is true.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Girls in the world of crypto currency on: February 28, 2018, 11:12:33 AM
Women are strange creatures: they usually are not interested in "masculine stuff", as financing, programming, engineering and so on, but when they decide to enter in the field, they are f...g good.
So, don't underestimate them, over all as opponents: it can be very dangerous!
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is new way to get Free money? on: February 28, 2018, 11:07:13 AM
As in any activity apparently easy and profitable, lot of people just jump in, without the needed resources and preparation.
So, in most case, it's not really a scam, it's much more about stupidity.
Btw, with little attention it's easy to detect scammers and unprofessional people, so check anything before to put your money somewhere.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to promote an ICO on Facebook? on: February 28, 2018, 11:04:12 AM
Now it's a real problem, because even it's not strictly forbidden, in any moment they can block your account, even if you are posting in your own profile.
May be the only way is to create a private group (in this case you are free to post anything) but it's difficult to collect members.
