How did you guys get the 18.6.1 drivers installed on  your Vega FE? I have the 18.Q3.1 Pro driver installed but I can only install 18.4.1 or 18.7.1 and 18.8.1. There are no other options for the driver switch.
Here is link to the official site
https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-Edition-18.6.1-Release-Notes.aspx
just choose version for your OS and download. Then make clean installation.

Hmmm, the pool is gone?  Shocked
I liked its multi-algo system, thare's no other pool like that, afaik...
However, going silently without paying off is not good at all.  Angry
In fact, there are a sufficient number of multi-algo pools that appeared earlier than the zergpool and have a more reliable reputation. I recently left zerg due to low profitability, at the time when api shows twice as high a result.

I can't resolve how to get the XMRIG 2.8.0 to work with this update, keep getting 'No Cuda Device Found'.

Previous versions worked fine and I can't figure out whats causing me to have this error.
Hello evereone! Have anybody experience of running monero v8 with tahiti cards (7970)? What miners are support this cards instead of SRB?
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Zealot/Enemy (z-enemy) NVIDIA GPU miner. on: October 23, 2018, 09:46:18 AM
Guys can you share your hashrate for 1060 6gb/1070/1080ti with x16r algo.

I used 1.22 version of z-enemy my hashrate for 1060 is around 9mh/s for 1070 I got around 11mh/s for all 1080ti my hashrate is 23-27.

Can you recommend what clock is the best to mine on x16r algo if the electricity rate doesn't matter?

x16r is not very dependent on the speed of the memory, but is very hot and requires a lot of energy, so set the maximum stable values for the core and make sure that your power supply can deliver enough power.
In fact, there are no universal settings, try +100Mhz on core, if it will be cool and stable, add 25Mhz else reduce by 25 ...
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.8 - V8 & algo switching on: October 23, 2018, 05:10:45 AM
Can someone help? When i start my miner at the very start my main GPU always crash.... i've change 2-3 different cards and the problem is still the same. Using 18.5.1 and 1803win edition. Anyone with same problem like me?

Try to use the integrated gpu on your mobo for main display.

If you havent integrated gpu try to decrease intencity on main GPU for about 25-30% or until it became stable.

My 7970 (tahiti) 1000/1500  1.2v driver 18.5.2
{ "id" : 0, "intensity" : 58, "worksize" : 16, "threads" : 1} almost stable, just couple reboots for a night). Now decrease intecity by 1. And yes, monitor plugged in to this card too. Almost 460 H/s.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.8 - V8 & algo switching on: October 22, 2018, 06:51:38 AM
Anyone with AMD R9 380 cards?

I was getting 600hash with v7 now 485hash only.
Any better results?

What it is your overclock settings? config.txt?
You can try { "id" : 0, "intensity" : 60, "worksize" : 16, "threads" : 1}
or { "id" : 0, "intensity" : 30, "worksize" : 16, "threads" : 2}
then gradually increase or decrease intencity, finding best hashrate.
Here discussing tahiti hashrates, may be you can find some useful info: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3167363.msg47101597#msg47101597

Confirm that, but with intensity 27 i got even more hashes on v7.
Now my 7970 with 1125/1500 clocks on v8
intencity 31
worksize 8
threads 2
485 H/s
12 Hrs stable

I could not repeat your result on my card even during overclocking, maybe your card has better timings. What driver did you use? 7970 Ghz edition?

After trying to achieve the best results with these settings { "id" : 0, "intensity" : 60, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 1}, I went back to intencity 31 worksize 8 threads 2, and for my surprise, I did not get stability even without overclocking and with less intensity, now I set the size of work 16 and gradually increased the intensity. For now setup is  { "id" : 0, "intensity" : 28, "worksize" : 16, "threads" : 2} on my tahiti with clocks 1125/1500 got 450 H/s.

Does this miner work with AMD Radeon R9 200 Series?
I have problem with:

Please use : Adrenalin 18.5.1, 18.5.2 or 18.6.1 drivers
Total pools: 2

I think I saw posts here about the successful launch of srb on v8 on pitcairn, but I could not find it. Install recommended driver first and then try to use the settings that are in this message for tahiti.

After softfork 8.0 on Monero network, this miner became one of the best for AMD cards. Unfortunately, it does not support cards of the R9 280 generation. It would be nice to add support for these old, but rather productive video cards.
I thought this miner works with Tahiti cards R9 280's. I know that it supports Hawaii - 290 and 390's, so why not 280's?

Anyone still mining with the older Radeon 7970/280X or the R9 290 GPUs?

Was wondering what config you guys are using and what stability you guys get with this software, I am looking for an alternative to the Claymore XMR miner which will become obsolete when XMR forks on Oct 18th.

I tried to run the srmbminer on my 7970 with settings --cgpuintencity 15 --cgpuworksize 8 -cgputhreads 2, at the stock frequencies (925/1375) I got 360H / s on v7, its less than old claymore 11.3 (450)... but clay not support v8

PS Guys when need to change algo for Monero mining? Any dates?

I try to run 1.6.8 with 6XR9 390. The driver version is 16.9.2 Windows 8.1
I try to benchmark the normal V8.
But it did not run. It has
error: Unknown attribute kind (45)

 Anybody can help?

Please use : Adrenalin 18.5.1, 18.5.2 or 18.6.1 drivers

At first try to use recommended driver. Don't use 18.3.4 and older drivers...
PS 87 blocks till fork.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.8 - V8 & algo switching on: October 18, 2018, 09:15:51 AM
So there is no way to get it to work with older AMD drivers like 15.12 ? This is on Windows 7.

Basically starting the start.bat or the SRBMiner-CN.exe results in an instant exit and doesn't even provide an error. Checked the log file and nothing was created.

put a pause at the end of the start.bat so it won't close the window and you probably have a parse error in the config file.

Yes i've already tried this. Its basically completely blank. No error or anything. And there is no log file created either.

I am using AMD Drivers 15.12 on Windows 7. Wondering if anyone else has been succesful in getting these to work somehow.

are you using iGPU?

No its a headless  rig, doesn't even have iGPU on the motherboard.

did you try xmr-stak?  if that gets halted too then it's something messed up in drivers.  I had an issue with all miners stuck and it was due to Opencl/driver issue.

Yes I tried some odd version of XMR-stak and it works with V8 however the max I can get is around 400hs with an R9 280X.

Since a Vega gets like 2000hs and a RX 570 gets 900hs, it's a horrible speed. Might be time to pack up the GPUs unless the speeds improve.
Recommended drivers (for srbminer):
Adrenalin 18.5.1, Adrenalin 18.5.2, Adrenalin 18.6.1
I use 18.6.1 on win7x64. With some 17.xxx (dont remember exactly) was some troubles, after drivers updating works good. 7970 card (same as 280x).
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.8 - V8 & algo switching on: October 17, 2018, 04:48:25 PM
Talking about power... CNv2 (Monerov8) does use quite a bit more. Getting very close to the acceptable limit on my 1500W PSU on that 6x Vega rig. I need to undervolt a tad more.

Bad decision from the Monero team, this new algo draws a lot more power, and gives less hashrate than the previous V7.
Monero's price should go up if they want people to continue mining their coin.
You are not quite right. The hashrate will fall for everyone in proportion, which means that all miners will receive the same amount of coins as before the fork.

Seeing btc going down for quite some time now, I thought people will be withdrawing their investment to shares and others business. But it amaze that btc is gaining more popularity and people are still rushing btc. What is the secret behind btc?
Perhaps some people, apart from speculation, remember that Bitcoin is "open source P2P e-cash system, completely decentralized, with no central server or trusted parties", and they really understand what it means... https://satoshi.nakamotoinstitute.org/posts/p2pfoundation/1/#selection-29.73-29.141

How can I add new algos here?
Hello, IngerDev. T-rex is a closed source miner so you cant add or upgrade anything here, you can only use it "as it is".

PITCAIRN guys, re-download 1.6.8, compilation fixed  Cool
My 7970 [Intensity 27.0][W: 4][T: 2] 485H/s with 1000 core/1375 memory(memory by default), now it is the fastest results for my clocks.

Try 1100 core, 1500 mem, for me, go over 520-550 H/s
Its really interesting result: on 1000/1500 hashrate increased to 495 H/s,
but increasing the memory frequency by at least 1mhz above 1500 results in a drop of hashrate to above 430-440. For now works at 1000/1500, if this clocks will be stable then later try to overclock the core. Thank you a lot, i thought that memory overclocking on this video card does not lead to improved results without modifying the timings.
That's normal since after 1500MHz on memory you are entering other strap which is less tighten.
I thought on my 7970 strap happens much earlier than 1500 and therefore did not overclock the memory. Now result with overclocked core to 1125, memory 1500   =  512 H/s.
UPD All my results in v7.
