Now, several project are going to provide protection for funds of investor
What do you think about it? Would you plan to do the same?
Or you did it already?

Sorry, is Codex going to store users funds for a long periods? I thought users can have money on the platform right before making some deals, so Codex doesn't have to take care about our money, does it?
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Codex Protocol - Decentralized Registry for Art & Collectibles on: July 30, 2018, 06:05:42 PM
As far as I know Codex will cooperate with museums and auction houses. Do you consider cooperation with art studios and municipal institutions(shelter homes for example)? There are a lot of people which making art, it would be interesting and useful for every party.

Sounds great! I'd also think about charity funds. I guess people could be more involved because of it. But let's Codex just start work firstly. All in good time.

You know what I like about this? That Codex really has all chances to have live community-driven ecosystem. Your idea of on-chain votings is very inspiring. For those who didn't get it: they give a say to every user.

I don't understand how did you find the idea of adding developers in the structure. That's not bad, just wonder why you decided to work in such area.

Me too. Anyway it could be very useful, I don't think team ingnored disadvantages of that model. I have a question too! How will Codex provide sufficient amount of validators? I can't imagine how many of them will be needed.

So I went to your socials and found some photos on Twitter! They look good enough, thank you for sharing, it made me feel more comfortable.

Greetings! I hope my question will be understood right. I want to see your machines, is it possible? To make sure there are real, you know.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Codex Protocol - Decentralized Registry for Art & Collectibles on: July 29, 2018, 01:08:39 AM
I'd wish that project can save collectibles not only in digital format, but physically too Cheesy Btw, what do you guys think about cooperation with banks and depositing users items in safety?

Wow, it's would be too complicate to provide. They have just to end develop and make it work digitally. Only after few years they can speak about something like you've just described.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Codex Protocol - Decentralized Registry for Art & Collectibles on: July 29, 2018, 12:56:36 AM
It's interesting for me will there be discounts available? For pioneers or something like that.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Apollo18 - Passive Income. Realistic Returns. Historical Data on: July 27, 2018, 04:39:46 PM
I'm sorry if my question is too easy, but did I understand it right - I can use Apollo18 for mining any coins I want mine to?

I guess so  Huh Maybe it's all about most popular coins... I can't say anything else, sorry. Btw, with all due respect how can we be sure that Apollo wiil give us real information about mined coins? Is fraud possible here?
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Apollo18 - Passive Income. Realistic Returns. Historical Data on: July 27, 2018, 04:27:33 PM
So there is ROI about 75-80 %, can we see any statistics data from you? It would be great.

Hello everybody. I had a question. If, say, I'm an artist. Will I be able to sell my work in the Codex?

If am I an not mistaken you can add your artworks in the catalogue and archieve them, so I suppose yes, you'll be able to become a merchant.
I understand that, yes. But why then will my work be evaluated by some unknown person? If I respect my work, I may not like the price that will be given to my work  Shocked Sad

Although I am investor, not an artist, your question is very interesting for me.  Huh Do you think some users can establish too low prices for your items? It would be unfair!
By the way, if the trade in goods looks like an auction, then sellers will be able to deliberately bet on their own goods in order to fill their prices ... It's interesting, is not it? And also it is suspicious... hmmm...  Shocked
Haha, you are plotting conspiracy theories on a level ground! I'm sure that such developers will worry. The Codex has a large team and many specialists, each of them is an intelligent person  Cheesy

Totally agree, no chances there will be any opportunities for fraud (if I really got what you're saying).

Just imagine how many inverstors will become artists and vice versa  Grin Such transformation of users would be one of the coolest Codex achievements, wouldn't it?

Today I visited a picture show of digital arts, I was so inspired by this. So I got a question: does Codex work with "classic" art only? What about digital? There are so many new branches of art, I wish they can be added here too.

I suggest this type of art (digital, whatever it means) can be exposed here, on Codex. Owner just needs to describe an item as patform needed, Voila! Unfortunately I don't remember what data is wanted for register in the ledger, check the whitepaper or ask admin  Smiley
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Codex Protocol - Decentralized Registry for Art & Collectibles on: July 25, 2018, 10:18:55 PM
Speaking about things spoken above I suppose we should ask artists and listen to them. I hope Codex will discuss it with both parties of art market: artists and collectors.

How can you forget one more party? Grin Inverstors! You and I, what about us? I don't know do they notice our proposals here, maybe there would be some form for give a feedback?
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Codex Protocol - Decentralized Registry for Art & Collectibles on: July 25, 2018, 09:42:39 PM
Thank Devs for doing this project!!!
But here some questions:
What's max sum of investment?
How you protect intellectual property?

Hi there, with regards to investment size, please view the token details here: https://www.codexprotocol.com/token-sale.html

With regards to protecting intellectual property, Mark Lurie recently added this in the AMA

Secrecy and confidentiality are indeed important in the art world.

I don't think blockchain will change this.

I think that people should be entitled to share what they want and be private about what they want.  In Codex, users control the privacy of their data.  That's one of the greatest benefits of the blockchain.

Blockchain also ensures that the source of any information they do share is verified.

I disagree with the statement blockchain can't change anything compared with intellectual prorepty, moreover I would be happy to see some projects like yours (you Codex on its own) in cooperation with some company that works in this area.

Am I correct in supposing that you are going to absorb all possible paying methods? What countries are you planning to promote your platform?
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Codex Protocol - Decentralized Registry for Art & Collectibles on: July 24, 2018, 08:31:54 PM
nice day)
Tell us more about used technologies in the project please.

Good question Smiley

So the Codex Protocol is built on top of the Ethereum network. There are no plans for building a special blockchain for Codex at the moment. Ethereum is the most popular platform even though there are scalability challenges. Codex is not worried about scalability right now as the transactions are low volume but have a high value.

There are 4 smart contracts:

1: CodexCoin which is an ERC-20 utility token
2: Codex Registry, which is the ERC-721 smart contract (Non-Fungible Token Standard)
3: The staking contract, where token holders can stake tokens to receive a discount on token fees
4: The proxy contracts, from which the core contracts are accessed through

These contracts were implemented already on the Rinkeby testnet.

Does "not worried about scalability" mean that you are not sure that the platform will be very popular? Also I want to understand, do we really need 4 types of smart contracts?

Is your platform scalable enough for working with huge amount of users successfully? You promise high speed of transactions, etc. but will it be still here when you got some 100 millions users? Or just even several thousands.

Hello everybody! Great News The Codex Mainnet Launch: What to Expect Codex will launch to the Ethereum Mainnet by July 23rd, 2018, Midnight (CST)
"The Mainnet launch of the protocol is a huge achievement for Codex, but it’s just the beginning of the journey. Right now the app ecosystem is sparse, using the protocol requires proficiency in blockchain technology, and there aren’t a lot of entities accepting Codex Records today."
The first edition has been made public here:  https://codex-viewer.com/#/record/0
More information read on Official Blog: https://medium.com/codexprotocol/codex-mainnet-launch-what-to-expect-5eb032e7d2a

Congratulation to the team! I love that exiting moment when I see a project is growing right in front of my eyes. Best wishes to you.

Speaking about scaling the platform to become something more than just an auction and art market platform...I guess it can't.It's too hard.
Why do you think so? Sure, it would be hard to compete with Amazon haha whatever, why can't they just try? It would help markets to evolutionize.

I guess team chose this sector because they are true art enthusiasts, so they will decide. You should remember that there are no (as far as I know) big players on the art market, so they can become the leader.
