61  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: October 01, 2013, 06:21:03 PM
My SEPA withdrawal from August 31st still hasn't arrived, still in status "confirmed" as it has been the last five weeks. Hope this really gets processed soon...

edit: actually just changed to "pending" this evening, fingers crossed!
62  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: September 24, 2013, 07:14:08 PM
SEPA withdrawals are definitely slowing down again. My previous (and first) SEPA withdrawal was processed on 2013/08/19. I initiated another withdrawal on 2013/08/31 and it is still on status: confirmed today.

oh well.

thanks for the official reply on that topic!
64  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox USD to SEPA withdrawal possible? on: August 14, 2013, 09:38:23 AM
I'm in the EU, but have so far only ever dealt with mt.gox in USD.

So to summarize, I have to buy BTC with mtgoxUSD, then sell BTC with mtgoxEUR before I can initiate a SEPA withdrawal (there's no automatic USD-EUR conversion like there is on bitstamp)?
65  Economy / Service Discussion / Mt.Gox USD to SEPA withdrawal possible? on: August 14, 2013, 07:30:16 AM
Now that the latest news is that SEPA withdrawals on Mt.Gox should actually take less time (even if still too long) than USD withdrawals, does anyone know if it is possible to withdraw USD funds from Mt.Gox as SEPA transfers?

Or does one have to "convert" to EUR first by having to buy BTC with USD, and then sell the BTC for EUR, and then withdraw the EUR funds as SEPA?

Has anyone actually tried/done this?

thanks!
66  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A new platform to trade Bitcoins: BTX Trader on: June 04, 2013, 12:35:29 PM
first release working fine so far.

what I would really like to see is a candle stick chart (like clark moody) or at least a line chart (like bitcoinity) in the app, ideally for a configurable time frame (at least from 1-24 hours).

additional exchanges like btce and bitstamp would also be nice, but the chart is more important to me (as now I still have to keep a browser tab open for the chart).
67  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MTGox OKPay Error on: May 24, 2013, 07:38:11 AM
from my experience the "error" status happens when mtgox is out of okpay reserves for too long.

why they don't regularly top up their reserves is the real question: are they just lazy or do they want to delay withdrawals on purpose (my guess).

i've had okpay withdrawals automatically change from error back to todo and processed, without support.

would be nice if they posted their reserves somewhere, so you can make a decision before initiating the withdrawal.
68  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you consider OKpay to be trustworthy? Why or why not? on: May 18, 2013, 06:28:21 PM
My only gripe is when I joined OKPay I could convert Bitcoin to USD directly on their site - but since mid-April when the bitcoin price erupted they removed that feature so I'm forced to use MTGox.

that feature is still available -- you can deposit bitcoins directly to okpay usd/eur. but the 6% commission is a high price to pay for that convenience...
69  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you consider OKpay to be trustworthy? Why or why not? on: May 18, 2013, 05:39:53 PM
Can anyone who has used OKPay explain the fees to me?  I see if I send money from BTC-E to OKPay BTC-E says there is a 1% fee.  Is that total, or is there also a fee on the OKPay side as well?

withdrawals from mt.gox or btce cost a 1% fee and that is the total fee you will pay.

deposit at btce costs 2% on btce side, and a maximum of $2.99 on the okpay side, depending on the amount.

when you send/withdraw money from okpay, you will usually pay their fee, but this is capped at $2.99, so for most transactions it's not an issue.

okpay itself usually works instantly, but as mentioned above and elsewhere, mtgox often depletes their okpay account, so mtgox to okpay withdrawals take anywhere from 1 hour to 3 days...

i've been using okpay for several weeks now without problems at gox and btce.

btce okpay deposits will be back next week, promised for may 20th.

there's a withdrawal delay sometimes when gox is out of reserves, though, while btce okpay deposits are usually instant.

wire transfer in to okpay usually also ok, sometimes takes longer if details not exactly correct -- had one that went through an intermediary bank that somehow changed the transfer details (amount, comment), and that took some time for support to track down. all other wire transfers (10+) arrived at the expected (bank delayed) time.

okpay support is ok, not the fastest, but much better than gox itself.

i've found the okpay verification process much quicker and easier than on gox (with the same documents)... just be sure not to edit the scans/copies in any way.

there's also a nice debit card option for getting money out of okpay again.

72  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox Dwolla account frozen by DHS on: May 14, 2013, 08:44:30 PM
Is there a way to get money from okpay into your bank account without paying fees?  Or is there a $15 fee like it appears?

okpay withdrawals incur fees, for larger amounts the okpay/mc debit card is a better way to get funds out when wanting to purchase something...

74  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MtGox <-> Btc-e arbitrage ~3% profit on: May 01, 2013, 07:04:51 PM
i've done several mtgox->okpay withdrawals, and the time taken varies considerably. Sometimes it happens within an hour, sometimes a day, sometimes 2 or even 4 days.

so unless mtgox shows their okpay reserves there is no way to know how long it will take.

yeah.. the website said it sent a code via sms, but never received one, and I'm not even sure if I actually entered a mobile phone number on my account (and no way to access the account details now).

i'm not receiving a confirmation code for the btc withdrawal.. did that work for you?
77  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox AML/KYC Process Explained on: April 25, 2013, 01:38:28 PM
after waiting XX days for the verification status upgrade to be processed, the request for a limits increase should at least be handled in a prioritized manner, instead of going to the normal support ticket queue, incurring another XX days delay.

it is really frustrating to receive the status complete email and then having to wait another week for the limits increase...
78  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: transter funds from bitstamp/mt gox to okpay on: April 25, 2013, 07:59:11 AM
has anyone else tried sending a wire transfer (withdrawal) from bitstamp to an okpay account?

I've been waiting for more than two weeks now -- I fear that bitstamp might not include the comment field that okpay needs to associate the transfer with the individual account.

any other experiences or solutions to minimize delay with bitstamp to okpay?

i'm enjoying your service as a paying customer, thanks for your product.

one thing that would improve the usability of the tables would be the possibility to specify a custom BTC amount for the charts and arbitrage tables, and not just the fixed increments of 10/100/1000. when the user enters a specific amount, the calculations should be made with that amount.

thanks.
