61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 09, 2014, 09:42:05 AM
I very much like the design of the site to be honest, I like how it's using twitter bootstrap so it's phone, computer and tablet friendly. Just waiting on the API now  Grin

Agreed. Middlecoin is the best pool I've discovered out of all the other profit switching pools. I get ~ 0.02BTC every 6 days from 210Kh/s (HD 5770).

The immature balance is _way_ out. The stats cannot simply cannot keep up. It's been all over the place for months now. Every now and again it'll catch up and then BAM. It shits it self again.
64  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: AMD Mantle is out on: February 03, 2014, 05:56:39 PM
Totally irrelevant for bitcoin mining.

I was relating it to mining. I just answered a question to do with gaming. Chill...
65  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: AMD Mantle is out on: February 02, 2014, 09:26:15 PM
It just takes me to AMD's site with the same catalyst drivers.
What is Mantle?

Hello!

So AMD Mantle is out, you can get it here. Just wondering if we would see anything for cgminer or any improvements in hashing speed.

Share your thoughts here!

It's AMD's new thing. It's supposed to "boost" FPS in games etc. Just click "Windows 8.1 / Windows 8 / Windows 7 (64-bit)" or select your graphics card and scroll down and you should see Catalyst V14.1 Beta.

I've got a friend playing BF4 with it right now, he says the FPS is still the same. Although maybe that'll be a different story for mining. But then again maybe it's what people are saying it was going to be; to help crappier processors and actually do nothing.

press win + pause, go to device manager up left corner of the window- select display adapters - right clock on the device and disable - after right click again over the vga and select enable Wink

This helped. Although having to resize all my windows like IRC, TS is quite annoying. But then again if it's the only fix, it saves rebooting Smiley

Looking at the screenshots, it looks very squashed. It would be better if it was sorted in blocks like "GPU's" and "General".

70  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Tecknet USB 3.0 USB Hub - block erputers - Raspberry pi, not being detected on: January 22, 2014, 10:51:47 PM
That's what I thought, but some people have managed to get stuff working. I'm guessing I should sell it then and go buy a USB 2.0 hub? If that works of course.
71  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Tecknet USB 3.0 USB Hub - block erputers - Raspberry pi, not being detected on: January 22, 2014, 10:13:00 PM
Hi,

I've just received a Tecknet USB 3.0 Powered USB Hub for my Raspberry Pi via amazon, here. However, when I connected my block erputer to it, BFGMiner cannot see it. I've saw people mentioning ports 1/3/4 working but that may not be for block erupters. I'm wondering, is there some way to get this to work?

Thanks.
72  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / XFX 5870 1GB - Crashing no matter what settings I use on: January 16, 2014, 04:37:24 PM
Hi,

I'm currently using a 1GB XFX 5870 card for mining scrypt currencies. The problem is that no matter what settings I use online with people using a 5770, it crashes CGMiner or it cannot initiate the thread. I've tried the setx commands, but none seem to do anything. I'm using a 600W PSU with one standard 6-pin PCI-E connector and a SATA to 6pin connector which both seem to be powering the card fine. I'm using Catalyst version 13-12 32bit, and Windows 7 32bit. If I'm lucky, I might get it hash but the HW errors shoot up within 5 minutes.

Any ideas?
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / HD XFX 5870 & CGMiner crashing, etc on: January 13, 2014, 09:21:52 PM
Hi,

I've tried version 2.11.4 and 3.7.2 and both seem to crash when trying to mine with my 5870. I replaced my old 5770 with the 5870 today using the same catalyst version still since its still the 5xxx series, and it seemed like it was going to work, but now it just crashes for no reason. I can run reaper absolutely fine.

Any ideas?

EDIT: It runs using my old 5770 cgminer settings at around 370Kh/s, HOWEVER, it seems to be crashing the system entirely so I lose connection via teamviewer. It is using a 500W power supply and drawing power from the same rail as what the hard-drive is being powered off by. Could this be why?
74  Other / Off-topic / Re: I wish I could rent a time machine. on: January 12, 2014, 11:37:13 PM
There was a documentary I was watching about this scientist who mathematically proved that his time machine would work. The only flaw with it is that if we turned it on now, we could only send stuff back to when it was turned on (as a maximum limit) , which is good enough I guess, because you could probably send future mining tech back in time. But then that'll alter that dimension and yeah...

Simple terms, get a delorean, and fill it up using Mr Fusion.

76  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / CGMiner not counting in 1's but 512 "A:" on: January 12, 2014, 11:37:21 AM
Hi,

I've just switched from Reaper since I like cgminers API, and is much more configurable than Reaper. The problem is, every time I get an accepted share, it doesn't count properly, but yet increases in 512 each time. E.g "Accepted" A: 512, instead of "1". If I have 2 accepts, then it'll be 1024, etc. I cant really see how many shares it has accepted if this happens. This also goes for the rejects too.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 11, 2014, 07:35:11 PM
anyone else running on useast.middlecoin.com:3333?  since I switched my rigs over I seem to have about 30% less than what my miners are reporting.
http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/1DW5wqCgTL7Ts3y1JZufvv6gUVXi7WC778.html
my 4 rigs are showing:
1.72+2.48+3.2+.9 = 8.3 MH/s
reporting around 6 MH/s.  And only since I switched them to useast.  i triple checked addresses on miners too.  Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

apparently I just needed to post about it, up at 8 where it should be.

All depends on how many shares are being sent. I get ~6.5mhs, and sometimes I'm down to as low as 5.2mh/s and as high as 6.8mh/s.

Edit: pool balance didn't change for ~45 minutes-1 hour and when it finaly did it only went up 2 BTC; and unexchanged numbers went down 2 BTC... so we basically weren't doing anything for that time?

It's REALLY laggy. If you were to turn off your miner(s) for a day, it'll still give you reports for your miner(s) from what happened about 8 hours ago (exaggeration but the truth).
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 11, 2014, 12:58:59 PM
Wow, massive jump on the graph for BTC balance yesterday. What happened there?
Unexchanged BTC has been traded for BTC obviously ...

I was only asking because it shot up on one day, what about the other days where it's gradually increasing?

Gizmodo, I hate that website. Some of the people post shit and are mostly apple fan-boys.
