Sent email regarding CT-transfer 22 hours ago, waiting for my shares at CT.

Ken, please check, username to both accounts is joele.  Thanks

Don't get in a rush, this is a very detailed and time consuming process.  I don't want to make a mistake and not send you enough shares or to many shares.  I think most shares will be transferred in 48-72 hours after the email is sent.

these are the same as penny stocks. most fail, some don't, but they all cost only pennies a share, so one is able to invest small amounts to see what happens. at IPO there were mixed reports on Ken, but some trusted members had said they had worked with him in the past and saw a determined capable programmer and engineer, if somewhat unconventional and difficult to communicate with. My experience holding a small stake in actm has proven that these statements are mostly fair. However Ken's timing and management is terrible enough to tank this company, and he is often too stubborn to realize he his headed down a dead end. He is also one of the very worst communicators I have ever encountered, he over-promises and under-delivers consistently, and continually shifts blame for all failures to some vaguely identified "project managers" and "PR teams" which seem to be outright fabricated persons. As far as I can tell actm entire staff is ken and 2 teenagers (possibly family members) Regarding his fiscal trustworthiness... the jury is still out on that one... but the odds are not in his favor.

I threw some pennies at actm in the beginning and now it looks like those pennies were wasted, but...pennies. Unless you have solid insider information, you have very little to go on in terms of viability of any given offering. Due diligence will only get you so far when there is so little known about the principals involved, and only greedy fools throw large amounts at untried entities hoping they will win the lotto, they have no right to bitch, its their own damn fault they are losing their shirts. I really believe most of these supposed lawsuits that get discussed in this sub are empty threats made by butthurt gamblers hoping to light a fire under the operators' arses. Do any of them believe they will get even one satoshi after they get lawyers involved? If they have that large a stake in any of these "securities" then they are obviously not smart enough to know how things work.

All the same, I would love to see actm pull itself together and make my pennies shine...I'm saving up for a piece of dubble bubble ;-)

@gogxmagog Nice post.  I would love to make your pennies shine.

Taking action now would be shooting ourselves in the foot, and a sure way of killing any hope of return of wealth.

It's simply too late for your appeal. Ken has had so many chances to open the books and get the logistics sorted. HE IS INCAPABLE OF MAKING A SUCCESS OF THIS COMPANY. He just can't do it. So the only chance of getting any money back is this class action.

We desperately need to sell miners and increase the data centre - HE CAN'T DO IT. Fact. Two more months of this and we are dead. Court action and freezing company funds is the only chance for shareholders - leave it to Ken and we have total loss.

@minerpart Sounds like a good plan, let see how it works out.

Ken what is your 3 month plan for this company? How are you going to make us money with a static data centre and single figure miner sales?

Tell me what the bitcoin price will be in 3 months and I will tell you.

I'm sure as a skilled manager though Ken, that you have at least three plans for different scenarios though right?

Eg.
If price is $400 - execute plan A
If price is $800 - execute plan B
If price is $2000 - execute plan C

Yes

Edit:  The $400 plan is the hard one, the other two are easy.

I think its clear that either this project manager is one day a month guy or Ken is a one day a month guy. Two questions:

1) Ken how many days per month do you spend working for this company?

2) Do you own/run any other companies and how many days a week do you work for them?

I work full time, 7 days a week.  I have 1 other company, it runs itself.
So then why does it take over a month to fix the website? Why can't you sign up for Bitpay and install their prestashop plugin in an hour to automate bitcoin payment?

First of all, I don't want to do business with bitpay because they are in bed with BFL.  Second, there are a lot of other things going on in the background that need to be taken care of, i.e datacenter, cash flow, lawyers, MSD, customer service, just to name a few.

Ken,

please tell me about the status of my refund cheque!

Ken has wrote a total of 15 checks since Feb. One a week. ( this is going of 2 check number differences in that time) you need to try harder or take him to court. There's a VMC class Acton link on my unofficial thread

Edit. I got my refund check 5 months after asking for it. Worst customer service ever.
Ken refund him already!

Thanks for your support Magzy!  Smiley

@Magzy Seems like your forgot that the refund check was mailed 3 months ago to you.

The website should also take Bitcoin as payment.  I know Ken will take Bitcoin if someone emails him, but it should be straight forward.  Bank Transfer is the real problem.  That and it probably should come with the cooler.  Or have another SKU that includes the cooler with it.  It's easier for people to buy Antminers that are plug and play than it is jumping through the hoops to buy the arguably cheaper boards VMC is selling.

Our project manager is working on that solution.

ASKen - A new account run by shareholders - Send us your questions and we'll do the rest!

...LET'S GET STARTED!

1) Ken, we are sure you are aware that shareholder confidence is at an all time low and people are starting to consider legal action.  How do you feel about being given an opportunity to turn things around and are you keen to embrace the efforts being made by the ASKen account by being more open in the future?

Yes, I will embrace the efforts being made by the ASKen account.

2) Ken, could you say a few words about eAsic.  Perhaps a summary of the history.  Shareholders have long wanted to know why the chips were never produced.

Right after we made the the deal with eASIC, hashfast and cointerra came out with their 400 and 500 GH/s chips, after having eASIC run our RTL on their platform and for the minimum number of chips we had to purchase, we did not have enough pre-orders to cover the purchase due to hashfast and cointerra selling 17 Million in machines.

Quote
3) With the declining price of bitcoin, hardware sales are becoming more important to the success of the company and yet the website is in desperate need of updating.  Please say a few words to explain why this issue has not been resolved yet.

We have been working on the datacenter to get the hash rate up.  Now, we are at the place of working on the website and this is our number 1 goal at the present time.

Kind regards,

ASKen

I got a question for Ken.

What did you mean when you said the MSD are not investigating you.

*for securities fraud

It was a pretty specific statement.

For selling unregistered securities.

Is this what they are investigating him for or they are not? (I am confused - They are not investigating him for Securities fraud but are investigating him for selling unregistered securities, or is it neither and they are after something else?).

Simple, they are investigating for selling unregistered securities.

Really, I made a mistake and said 170 TH, but it should have been 100 TH by the end of April.  We are at 80% of that, it does look like the AC can only support about 130-150 TH with the third AC running.  That AC should be fixed this week.  The 800 TH was based on the power available and was my estimate.  We really did not know what the AC could support, but the DC had 3 massive AC units.

Honestly, this is the most transparent and honest thing I've read from Ken in months.  I appreciate knowing the truth of the situation and where it stands.  It would be cool Ken if you then said what you're thinking about as a contingency since the AC can't support further mining cards.  Will you shift to trying to sell them?  Or are you going to move toward another Data Center?  I suppose the third option is to deal with the heat some other way.

We are already moving towards selling; however, with bitcoin being at its current prices, this has depressed sales somewhat.  We are working on a solution to get sales up.

Wrong. Internet sales are considered by 'Telephone, indirectly'. You're in violation of codes 435.1, and 435.2 from what I see.

http://www.ftc.gov/sites/default/files/documents/cases/1998/04/compl3.htm

It only covers the selling of goods by mail or telephone.

(a) Mail or telephone order sales shall mean sales in which the buyer has ordered merchandise from the seller by mail or telephone, regardless of the method of payment or the method used to solicit the order.

Read it yourself.

http://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/16/435.1

Seems you are right, anyway we are sending out refunds and we intend to offer 100% refunds  to our customers own want a refund as fast as we can.
