61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | SMART CONTRACTS COMING! on: February 16, 2018, 02:08:34 PM
BitcoinCash (BCH) airdrop is coming next Thursday, on February 22, 2018.

This airdrop will be to WavesCommunityToken (WCT) holders.

Source: https://wavescommunity.com/bchairdrop
Twitter: https://twitter.com/wavesplatform/status/964465911997587457

You need to generate a waves wallet with letters “B”, “C” and “H” in it, not necessarily in consecutive order.
If the address contains the “B”, “C” and “H” letters in the consecutive order the address receives a double payout.

Then send your WCT to that address and wait until the airdrop has been completed!

How to generate a new address? Try to generate a new account until it contains the correct letters or create a vanity address! Manual is at: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2142722.msg21665498#msg21665498

UPDATE: The case of letters doesn’t matter. Old addresses with mentioned letters in the right order are also eligible.

Guys, let's go home and come back in a year.
Maybe will see some results  Grin

1st of july is the deadline for me. If the price isn't over 2$ by then, I'll sell my MGO.

A year needed for development and complying with regulations isn't such a long time for projects like these.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves future on: February 09, 2018, 12:04:30 AM
waves will go huge after adding smart contracts
There might be a lot of projects are introduced to create their own smartcontract, but the real smartcontract is ethereum. Waves will become another fail on it.  believe me the competition was really strict to the waves. How new platform  just like cardano even surpassed waves platform. I heard waves try to make another scalabilityt solution for its platform but those waves holders don't need it.
Waves is hype coin in my opinion.

You're funny.

Smart contracts on Waves will be a game changer.
By the way: no gass needed.

I think I've been pretty clear about how exchange listings work.

You apply to list on an exchange, you agree to meet the demands of the exchange, and if they decide to list you, you get listed. That's the process. Exchanges choose to delay or not list coins for an assortment of reasons. It isn't 100% up to a tokens team to get listed on any exchange. We did what we were supposed to do for the exchanges you're talking about, and I'm not being specific so we still have a solid chance of being listed eventually. I'm not hiding behind statements of exchanges, I'm just being careful to avoid saying anything that would jeopardize future listings.

What are the dates you applied for listing on:

Bittrex = ?

Poloniex = ?

Binance = ?

I'm sure you're not braking the rules by sharing the dates when you applied Wink

If I were Jack, I would put you on ignore already.
Respect for him, still responding in a serious way to you.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund [$53 Million] - Decentralized Mobile Gaming Solutions on: February 05, 2018, 03:20:26 PM

The ico money is nowadays like 200 million no chump change either and binance listing is not 1 million dollar Wink

The roadmap and whitepaper at the time of the ico was quite clear. Marketing was stated in August and the product was almost ready. This resulted in major delays and the info on this was slim to none.
More things aren't done over time so the negative sentiment is a bit correct.

You are preaching way too positive so I know your relation to this project now. Also you gave Jack a trust score for doing a perfect ICO.
A perfect ICO hasn't people selling at a 50% loss. A perfect ICO would have made the deadlines on the roadmap. And so on.

Like I stated earlier I would like answers on these topics :

You are stating this sentence for months. In all those months MGO could be listed already 5 times!!!!

So why isnt it there

We believe in this project. Sure I'm worried and a bit negative from time to time but we all invested for some ROI or the roadmap.

It seems nothing can be done and nothing is clear in this whole project.

Since we aren't listed on bittrex can you explain after all these months why? (Security?)

How long ago did you apply for binance? Because if you applied months ago and still not listed we all know the reason.

Don't hide behind statements of exchanges or others. You are the communication manager so communicate in clear text please

Also talking about liqui as a decent exchange is an idiot response. A coin with one of the biggest ico's and a 24hour volume of 5-10 btc.

I'm open for discussion but be realistic and fair!!

If all the energy you put in complaining was put in support, MobileGo would be a top 10 coin already  Grin

What a joke

The day isn't over yet.
And if it is, there are more days to come  Wink

Linux and Mac OS version released yesterday!

Shhhh, keep it a secret.

MaGNet always showing up with the latest goodies when people ask about them, nice one! Gonna give it a try now.

good improvement, we have functional tools.

Win app delayed to next week

https://twitter.com/WavesEvangelist

Second point : donwload app only on the dev website and do not trust anybody else.

Some here are spreading things that ain't true

You must be one of our greatest criticasters, thanks for that! It keeps us sharp Wink

The link is actually to the official Waves servers @ Amazon.

You can compare the download link I shared to the ones at https://wavesplatform.com (Mac OS and Linux client).
They are all at same location -> https://s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com/wavesdb.com

The Windows app will work for most but there are some OS specific issues that need to be resolved first, so hence the official Beta release is postponed for a week.

I quit my job and will now be a "self-employed entrepeneur".

Although I'm not paid by the Waves team, this will also give me more time to spend on sharing news & updates with you!
Turing will also keep sharing news with us!

Today I kick off with some very important news!

The Client 1.0 version of the Waves wallet is about to be released soon!

Hi Guys!!

Just two days left to the end of Pre-ICO
Hurry and contribute if you haven't before it closes.
Here: https://lk.mytracknet.com/

With the funds realized we will be able to develop the app for alpha release and build the community
Thank you for supporting the project

I see you reached $560,000 already, that's a great result for a pre-ICO !

I invested enough already, expect to receive around 1 million MTN tokens Smiley

Not that I'm selling them soon anyway, but when is the first distribution planned to take place?

Will there be trackers with different battery sizes (and battery life) so I can use them for different purposes?
And how about an "incognito" tracker for my car that looks like a USB charger? And a special device for pets? I'm full of ideas  Grin
I for sure will use those trackers for my camera and laptop bags.

How about a contest for "use cases" of the MyTrackNet trackers? Smiley
And maybe organize "geocaching" contests too?

Every day I see new promising interesting projects.Today I was pleasantly surprised

What made you surprise this project had been in the market for almost 3 years already. The price fall down to $0.15 when waves was very new but had been rising ever since. It got its ATH up to $15 recently, it might not be going back to it so soon but the project will continue to be developed until the UI will be easier for new users. Airdrop is amazing!

Actually it's closer to 1.5 years Wink

It's amazing how much has been achieved in such a short period.

Roadmap for the 2018 Revival of the Bitcoin-sCrypt Altcoin (BTCS)
(established 2013)

Official Website: https://bitcoinscrypt.io

Overview

•   Introduction
•   Decentralize Transaction Mining
•   Decentralize Development
•   Roadmap Timelines
•   Marketing Plans
•   Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Roadmap Introduction

After years of lacking a fulltime developer for the Bitcoin-sCrypt altcoin (BTCS), we are pleased to announce the addition of a fulltime development team to take over Bitcoin-sCrypt development.

Bitcoin-sCrypt was released in 2013 and blocks have been mined continuously ever since (even though Bitcoin-sCrypt has not had a full time developer since 2015).

Now we have a full time development team on-board, we have updated the wallet client and added new functionality to make Bitcoin-sCrypt transactions faster and transaction fees lower than Bitcoin-core.  The development team is also adding new features to make Bitcoin-sCrypt mining and development more decentralized than Bitcoin-core.  Finally, we are putting together a marketing team for our upcoming social media marketing campaign.

Accordingly, welcome to the revival of Bitcoin-sCrypt!

Our mission is to fulfill Bitcoin-sCrypt’s original goals of decentralizing development and mining to return power back to the hands of the community.

Specifically, we will decentralize Bitcoin-sCrypt mining by moving from a pure Proof-of-Work consensus algorithm (that favors ASIC miner centralization), to a hybrid Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm (that empowers coin holders and reduces energy usage).

Further, we plan to decentralize Bitcoin-sCrypt coin development by adding CryptoVoter blockchain voting functionality directly to the wallet client to allow for blockchain voting on development issues so that the community can vote on the direction of the coin.

A more detailed explanation follows…

Decentralizing Transaction Mining through a Hybrid Proof-of-Stake Consensus Algorithm

In response to the centralization of mining by Scrypt-ASIC’s, we will be moving from the current pure Proof-of-Work consensus algorithm to a hybrid algorithm that incorporates both Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake to empower coin holders in the block verification process.

The annual POS rate will be 15% with a coin maturity of 6 hours.

This move will have the added benefit of reducing energy consumption because of a reduced reliance on the energy-intensive Proof-of-Work mining algorithm.

Decentralizing Development through Blockchain Voting

Based on the CryptoVoter White Paper published by Smokeasy,  we will add blockchain voting functionality (e.g., CryptoVoter blockchain voting protocol) directly to the Bitcoin-sCrypt wallet client, which will allow users to vote on features and issues from within the Bitcoin-sCrypt wallet client itself…instead of having developers unilaterally decide development issues.  Our community is priority.

CryptoVoter was initially featured in techcrunch magazine  as a solution to Bitcoin-core’s blocksize debate by allowing coin holders to use coins to vote (without trusted-third-parties) on whether to increase the maximum blocksize.

So how does it work?  It’s simple…

CrytpoVoter’s decentralized blockchain voting system leverages vanity addresses to enable coin holders to vote without trusted-third-parties.  It works by creating vanity addresses in the user’s wallet that represent voting choices so that the user can send coins to themselves to publicly register a vote.  After voting, votes can be counted by anyone using a blockchain-explorer.  CryptoVoter voting is completely transparent and does not allow double-voting (e.g., double-spending).
But wait…there’s more.

In addition, we are developing a protocol that would allow users to propose vote questions from within the client itself, with the vote questions written directly to the blockchain so that the voting questions can later be retrieved uncensored by anyone running the Bitcoin-sCrypt wallet client.

Furthermore, to allow for decentralized vote counting, we will also be adding blockchain-explorer functionality to within the Bitcoin-sCrypt wallet client directly so users can also count votes from within the wallet client without the necessity of central servers.

This  decentralized, end-to-end, blockchain voting solution will give the community an uncensored voting platform to propose and decide whether to add new features or functions to the blockchain.
A new white paper fully describing this end-to-end blockchain voting system will be released later this year.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What is Bitcoin-sCrypt?

A: Bitcoin-sCrypt is a decentralized blockchain crypto-currency that utilizes the scrypt proof-of-work algorithm.  Bitcoin-sCrypt was originally developed as a more decentralized alternative to Bitcoin-core.

Q: What makes Bitcoin-sCrypt different than other crypto-currencies like Bitcoin?

A: Bitcoin-sCrypt has the same number of total coins as Bitcoin, but has much faster transaction speeds and much lower transaction fees.  Additionally, mining and consensus will become more decentralized through the introduction of a hybrid proof-of-stake consensus mechanism.  Also, development will become more decentralized by allowing coin holders to vote on development issues with the addition of the CryptoVoter blockchain voting protocol to the Bitcoin-sCrypt wallet client. Finally, Bitcoin-sCrypt’s lower cost per coin is much more affordable than the other bigger crypto-currencies (…for now).

Q: Is Bitcoin-sCrypt (BTCS) a Bitcoin fork like Bitcoin Cash (BCH)?

A: No, Bitcoin-sCrypt is not a fork like Bitcoin Cash.  The genesis block for the Bitcoin-sCrypt blockchain was mined on September 8, 2013.

Q: How long has Bitcoin-sCrypt been around?

A: Bitcoin-sCrypt has been around since its genesis block was mined in 2013 and the blockchain has continued un-broken from 2013 to the present day.  The Bitcoin-sCrypt blockchain is approximately 487,000 blocks long.

Q: How many total coins in Bitcoin-sCrypt?

A: Bitcoin-sCrypt has the same total number of coins as Bitcoin-core (21 Million), and a similar number of total coins currently in circulation (16 Million).

Q: What is the upcoming hard-fork that the developers keep mentioning?

A: Bitcoin-sCrypt client update v1.6.0 changes the difficulty targeting algorithm by adding Kimoto Gravity Well.  This change will take effect on the blockchain on Feb 19, 2018.  After Feb 19, 2018, all users must switch to Bitcoin-sCrypt client v.1.6.0 (or later).

Q: Do we have to swap out Bitcoin-sCrypt coins after the hard-fork?

A: No.  All Bitcoin-sCrypt coins existing before the hard-fork will continue to exist in their same wallets and addresses after the hard-fork…you just need to download the latest wallet client.

Q: Was Bitcoin-sCrypt pre-mined?

A: No Bitcoin-sCrypt was not pre-mined.  The first Bitcoin-sCrypt genesis block was mined after Bitcoin-sCrypt was first announced on Bitcointalk on September 8, 2013.

Q: When was the wallet client last updated?

A: Prior to the current revival of Bitcoin-sCrypt, v.1.4.0 of the client was released in 2015.  The newest version v.1.5.0 was pre-released on Jan 15, 2018.  The next release v.1.6.0 will be released on Jan 22, 2018.

Q: Where can I download the Bitcoin-sCrypt wallet client (Windows, Linux and Mac)?

A: You can download the wallet client from the official website:  https://bitcoinscrypt.io

Q: Where can I buy Bitcoin-sCrypt?

A: Cryptopia: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=BTCS_BTC
C-CEX: https://c-cex.com/?p=btcs-btc

Q: Is Bitcoin-sCrypt on CoinMarketCap?

A: Yes - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-scrypt

Q: How do I mine Bitcoin-sCrypt?

A: You can currently mine Bitcoin-sCrypt at the following mining pools:
Coincave:  http://btcs.coincave.nl/
Bullwark:  https://bulwarkpool.com/
MiningPower: https://miningpower.net/

Q: How do I stake Bitcoin-sCrypt?

A: There is no staking until proof-of-stake is introduced later this year.  After proof-of-stake is introduced, then there will be an option in the Bitcoin-sCrypt wallet client to stake your coins.

Q: Was Bitcoin-sCrypt ever banned from Bitcointalk?

A: Yes, in 2013 certain Bitcointalk moderators thought that another crypto-currency using the name “Bitcoin” would be too confusing:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=292543.0.

It was soon unbanned after veteran Bitcointalk members enlightened the moderators to the foolishness of their ban:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=292543.msg3412072#msg3412072.

Indeed, Bitcoin-sCrypt paved the way for other coins like Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold & Bitcoin Fast, to use the Bitcoin name.

Q: Is there a Bitcoin-sCrypt Discord channel?

A: Yes - https://discord.gg/EAXdR8j

Q: Is there a Bitcoin-sCrypt Telegram channel?

A: Yes - https://t.me/BitcoinScryptOfficial

Q: When will the hard-fork take place?

A: The v.1.6.0 hard-fork will take place on February 19, 2018.

Q: Is the Bitcoin-sCrypt cryptocoin (BTCS) the same as the Bitcoin-Silver token (BTCS)?

A: No.  The BTCS cryptocoin is native to the Bitcoin-sCrypt blockchain, while the Bitcoin-Silver token is an ERC20 token on the Ethereum blockchain.  Bitcoin-sCrypt is a cryptocoin while Bitcoin-Silver is a token.
