It's simple maths really... 360 million DOGEs are issued daily. At 110 satoshi, 400 BTCs are needed every day to buy the mining supply, just to keep the price stable. At some point, the inflation numbers eat up the BTCs, the BTC investors dry up and the game is over => the only way is down. When you know that in a year from now, there'll be almost double the DOGEs, and bitcoins will be more-or-less tha same in numbers, it's a no brainer why the Doge/BTC price ratio will go down and down and down. your maths are bad, bro. first of all, dogecoin and bitcoin are not the same numbers. second, not everything that is mined is sold straight away. third, there will be less doges issues when the block reward halves again. doges mining is faster at begining than bitcoin, with faster block reward halving. that means now you can mine doges fast, but in the future, like 1 year from now you won't be able to mine doges as fast compared to bitcoin since the blockreward of doge will half more often than bitcoins. doge will probably drop a little more before it skyrockets again. also 400 BTC (250.000$) is nothing to the 24h volume of doge (way above 2.000.000$) |

Order book has gone up almost 100% in last 3 hours on Poloniex, from 12 BTC in buy orders to 21 BTC now! I bought another 30k at 450, I think were about to get pumped. im with you there, bought also in at 450 although i also mined some. this is one of the few innovative coins of this year, no hype, no premine, no bullshit. thanks to the devs! |

This is absurd dude you really don't know the history of other developers right. Is always the same crap don't act like they have to do what you say. The important thing here is that they have absolutely communicated since the issues happened, they also kept everyone informed and they are transitioning. Was it all perfect NO, was it right what happened NO but they gave face and things are moving forward quit the crying. I was in since early nobody told anybody to sell you sold cause you felt like selling. Im still holding on to Panda coin and got burned but Im still holding cause you just never know.. Move on. If you want another coin wait a few days another will come out jump on it and I will see you back here with the same story from the other coin

i dont want anything from you, pal, im just saying it seems to me you try to make money out of your takei investment, not revive this project to donate money to charity like you claim. too often i hear people promising whatnot to manipulate the value of various coins, and most of the time its just empty promises, and this is another case where there is no proof of anything besides someone in the forum telling all kinds of stories that don't really match up perfectly (why not just start a new coin? etc.). maybe you are telling the truth but it seems highly unlikely to me. you even admit you already speculated and profited from this coin (sold before crash), then when the crash happened many people (including me) sold their takei coins because sage even said so in IRC, the project is done, twitter and website got removed and so on, and you catch all the sell orders when its at the lowest while i and others wonder who is buying up all these coins and why isn't it dropping further, and then come here and announce you want to overtake this coin and are talking with sage and you keep bumping this thread about your plans until the value of takei rises again...its kinda ridiculous
funny thing is while the crash happened in IRC there were 2 or 3 guys begging for someone to rebrand this coin like nonstop, i told them who would buy into this old coin with a new name if there are a few giant bagholders and you cant be an early adopter anymore? but they wouldn't listen - and magically someone turned up with exactly this idea he had in mind for a long time already...sure sure how convenient...im not buying it.
if you are really telling the truth and want to make a serious project with donations and whatnot, i still don't get why you don't just start a new coin, and take more preparations and everything, this is all much too hasty. if this was a serious project its not executed professionally, and i can't see it succeed anyway.

Everyone be careful of a scam. There is no (zero) credibility to those that are driving now. It's tough for everyone to lose the $ we did (over 5 BTC here), on continuous promise that it was "going to happen", but you can learn from it. At least there were faces and names behind the effort. That's not the case now. You can still sell for some BTC. I did. If it ever gets anywhere, which is very questionable, there will be lots of time to buy in later.
As one of the people leading this new team I can understand where you are coming from. There is no question it will take some time for us to deliver - and in the mean time we are doing our best NOT to make any empty promises. Obviously I'm excited about the potential of what we'd like to do - but we are a ways away from getting there. But in the mean time, we're not asking anyone to stick around who doesn't want to - and we're not making empty promises of where we think this can go. i dont get it, who is buying this now for 100? isn't it likely to drop to like 10 in the next 24 hours? if not lower?
even if it gets rebranded, who would jump on board to mine and promote this if there are already some giant bag holders who will just dump their stashes as soon as the value is back up a little? they would just be helping out recuperating the losses of the big takei bag holders. not many people will do that. a relaunch/rebrand of a coin would only work if the coin never got any attention/high hashrates before. just think a little, most investors here are solely here to make money, noone wants to pay for the losses of other people. there might be 10 or 20 giant bag holders of takei who want to keep this coin alive for obvious reasons, but it simply won't work, exactly the same happened with many other coins already.
what i am wondering now is are there new/fresh people buying up takei for 100-150 right now, or is it the giant bag holders trying to pump up the value desperately? either way, this looks kind of sad to me. but i do get it - its simply not that easy to accept a loss and move on.

If this was a pump and dump it surely was the worst one in history because I lost about $40,000
can You explained how You lost when You are the first know about this news come man better then that I bought in a lot at the highs as well, also keep in mind im NOT a miner and there was no premine. Plus do you guys think it's free to develop coins, do branding, make sites, pay for press releases. etc. I'm probably the biggest $$$ loser in all of this. if you lost 40grand, it was in potential profits, you didnt put 40grand into this. its not the same as all the trader who put hard earned money into it to get shit on if you put 40grand cash into this, theirs no way you didnt sell when you got the news from them. what you think we think your the greatest samaritan ever?? and if you did, i feel for you. you are better than most in this industry. but i doubt it I can only give you my word and my basic rundown but here it is.... about 20,000-25,000 worth of mining contracts 1000 to make website 1000+ on giveaways 2500 on coin development 500 for QT updates 2500 for online wallet which never even saw the light of day. I am sure im missing some stuff but it's about 35,000-40,000 and I sold at the absolute lows. And lastly for the record when it hit cryptsy this morning I had about $160,000 worth at the high end and was working my real job, missing any chance to sell. So you still got coins? what address were the coins at? I was here from day one, had some mining contracts plus purchasing right up until today! I find it hard to believe you didn't cash out before it went tits up. Then announced it everywhere but here and by that time the coins were worth shit. You might be genuine when you say, not cashing out at the high, but the amount of coins you had. You didn't loose 40k, and the paid votes were done to make sure you had somewhere to offload as mintpal wouldn't have handled the volume, without the price falling off a cliff (worse than cryptsy). so he/they wanted to rebrand the coin when takei was off limits, then he posted the announcement here in the forum, then 1 minute later edies lawyers called and told him she is off too, he seem to have posted that in the forum too, but the official announcement here in the forum that takei was off only came 4 hours later if i got that right (actually only after i told him on irc to announce that). well, its just nitpicking more or less, he should have announced it right away, but i guess its not that dramatic. i can't say anything else about him, it really looked very serious and honest what he did there. i guess today he just got overwhelmed by everything. but maybe he a nefarious plan to just make a quick buck with insider knowledge trading, who knows. i don't really think so. |

There is something strange going on with this. The volume isn't sufficient for a real pump and dump. I am confused about what has happened with this coin.
the dev is shutting down the coin due to takei's request...he is claiming so in the IRC channel, he will post a statement here any moment i guess Any hint of what's his the plan for future? I'm really tired of the lack of communication from developers, especially when TakeiCoin did not look like having troubles with communicating. It's not hard to write some text in the website you "close" or a short post that update is coming in the thread and it makes a world of difference for confused people. i dont know i think the takeicoin project is over, i completely agree its not hard to post here, it seems like he is overwhelmed or something and thats why he didn't think of it, but i don't wanna come up with excuses for him...i told him in the irc to post here and he said he will |
